Gathered In Three Categories

In The Name of Allaah, the Most Merciful The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah said: ”And the weighing on that day will be the true weighing. So as for those whose scale (of good deeds) will be heavy, they will be successful. And as for those whose scale will be light, they are those who will lose their ownselves because they denied and rejected our Aayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations etc)” [7:8-9]

Hudhaifah Bin Al-Yamaan, Abdullaah ibn Mas’ood and other tham them amongst the sahaabah said:

The people will gathered on the day of judgement in three categories: The one whose good deeds outweighs his bad deeds by one, he will enter paradise; and the one whose bad deeds outweighs his good deeds by one, he will enter hell fire, and the one whose good and bad deeds are equal, he will be amongst the people of Al-Araaf. This weighing of the (good and bad deeds) will be after retribution and (after) the rights of those who were oppressed are taken from (a person’s) good deeds.  So if any of his good deeds remain, they will be weighed against his bad deeds.[1] Who are the people of Al-araaf: see soorah Al-Araaf: ayaat:44-48
