After Abu Zur’a Al Libi (living in Luton at the time) poisoned the Masjid Committee of Masjid As-Sunnah in Cheetham Hill Manchester with doubts to defend Abul Fitan Al-Ma’ribi, some of the brothers arranged a telephone linkup with Al-Allaamah Rabee’ Bin Haadee to clarify the mistakes of Al-Ma’ribi to the common people. The Masjid Committee of Masjid As-Sunnah (i.e. Abu Fadl Al-Libi, Abu Shuraih Al-Libi, Abu Abdillaah Akram-Sharghaawi, Abu Umaamah etc.) were bent upon defending Ma’ribi and argued upon falsehood; so this advice which is to follow, was given to the Salafiyyoon. The Salafiyyoon left Masjid As-Sunnah to safeguard their Manhaj and not to be confused by the Masjid Committee. And to this day, this Masjid Committee defends Ma’ribi, Maghraawi and Halabi.
