Our Salaf–Abu Haneefah

Abdul-Maalik Ibnul Mubaarak (rahimahullaah) said:

”I arrived in Koofa and ask about the most fearful of Allaah amongst its people, so they said: ”Abu Haneefah”[Taareekh Baghdaad: 13/358]

Al-Qaasim Bin Ma-an (rahimahullaah) narrated:

Indeed, Abu Haneefah s(rahimahullaah) stood up all night whilst repeating the statement of Allaah: ”Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter.” [Soorah Al-Qamar: Ayah: 46] and he wept and humbled himself until fajr. [Siyar A’laam Nubulaa: 6/401]

Sufyaan Bin Uyaynah (rahimahullaah) said:

There was not a man that arrived in makkah in our time, who used to pray more than Abu Haneefah (rahimahullaah) [Taareekh Baghdaad: 13/353]
