Our Salaf: Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood said: ‘I swear by Allaah such a person is insane…..!
Abu khaythama narrated to us, saying: Muhammad Ibn Khaazim related to us, saying: Al-Amash reported to us from Shaqeeq from Abdullaah (Ibn Mas’ood), who stated:”I swear by Allaah the one who gives a verdict to the people in everything they ask him is insane indeed.” Al-A’mash said: Al-Hakam said to me:”If I heard this hadeeth from you prior to this day, I would not have given a verdict in many of the affairs I issued a verdict.”
