The wife raising her voice towards her husband – Shaykh Uthaymeen

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Shaykh Uthaymeen was asked about a woman who raises her voice and shouts at her husband:

(Paraphrasing)
Indeed raising of the wife’s voice towards her husband is from evil manners, and that is because he is her protector and he takes care of her.*

Therefore it is a must that she respects him and addresses him with manners. Because that is more likely to create affection between them and enables friendship and love to remain between them. Likewise the husband must also treat her kindly. So good manners and kind treatment is mutual, Allah the Most High said:

…And treat them kindly; then if you hate them, it may be that you dislike a thing while Allah has placed abundant good in it.
Soorah An-Nisaa’ Verse 19

Fataawa Noor alad Darb li ibn Uthaymeen

* Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allah and to their husbands), and guard in the husband’s absence what Allah orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity, their husband’s property, etc.). As to those women on whose part you see ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly, if it is useful), but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance). Surely, Allah is Ever Most High, Most Great.
Soorah An-Nisaa Verse 34

Marrying a pregnant woman – Permanent committee

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The pregnant divorcee or widow has an iddah (specific time period before she can get married which is) until she has given birth, due to His statement:

And for those who are pregnant (whether they are divorced or their husbands are dead), their ‘Iddah (prescribed period) is until they deliver (their burdens)
Soorah Al-Talaaq Verse 4

(So) the marriage contract with her is obsolete and the marriage is not complete.

Advice regarding the opening supplication of the Prayer – Shaykh Uthaymeen

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The opening supplication is a sunnah and is not obligatory whether that is in the five compulsory prayers or the supererogatory. And that which is befitting is that the people use all the (forms) of the opening supplication reported from the Prophet -(May Allah’s Peace be Upon Him)- so that by way of that he attains the reward of performing the sunnah with all its different forms. And if he only knew one form from the sunnah and he restricts himself to that, then there is no sin upon him. Because that which is apparent is that the Messenger -sallaallaahu alaihi wa sallam- used to vary the forms of the opening supplications and the tashahud for the purpose of ease for the slaves (of Allah). Likewise the Messenger used to vary the dhikr after the prayer for two benefits:

The first benefit: So that an individual does not continue upon one type; for if a person continued upon one type, it would become a habit to him and because of that he would become negligent and find himself saying this dhikr without intent, due to it becoming an action which he does out of habit. So when the adhkaar are of various types and a person uses them intermittently, his heart will be present whilst reciting and this is conducive for understanding and contemplating on what he says.

The second benefit: Is ease upon the ummah, because a person can use one form or the other in accordance to what is befitting in his personal circumstances.

So due to these two benefits some acts of worship have come with various forms like the opening supplications, the tashahud and the adhkaar after the prayer.

Partners in False and Excessive Speech –Yahyah Al-Haddaadi and His Deviant Friend, Mourad Al-Jazaa’iri

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:”The over-stringent ones are destroyed.”

Imaam Nawawi (rahimahullaah) said: ”The over-stringent ones are those who look too deeply (into affairs) and are excessive- those who exceed the Hudood (prescribed legislated sharia boundaries) in their statements and actions.” [Saheeh Muslim Number:2670 and Sharh Saheeh Muslim: Vol 16. Page:180 or page:220]

There is no doubt that Yahyah Al-Hajoori and his followers are well-known for their vile attacks and false-excessive judgements against the Mashaayikh of Ahlus Sunnah.  Al-Allaamah Ubaid Bin Abdillaah Al-Jaabiri and Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari are amongst those who received the severest, the most evil judgements and attacks from Al-Hajoori and his followers-all in the name of defending Al-Hajoori upon falsehood.

Al-Hajoori (may Allaah guide him) said about Al-Allaamah Ubaid Al-Jaabiri (may Allaah preserve him):

“By Allaah! It is feared for him (i.e. Shaikh Ubaid) heresy (zandaqa), it is feared for him that he may exit the Religion if he opposes the Religion and he remains upon this lying – it is not far fetched the statement of Allaah: “So when they turned away, Allaah turned their hearts away, and Allaah guides not the rebellious!”  Yahyah also said: “Allaah has disgraced Ubaid just as He disgraced the Shaitaan” [source: http://www.salafitalk.com/threads/472-Shaikh-Yahyah-al-Hajoori-His-Ghuloo-and-Going-Beyond-Bounds]

Likewise Yahyah Al-Hajoori Al-Haddaadi (may Allaah guide him) said about Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari: [listen to audio here] Trans: ”May you perish O Bukhaari just as the two hands of Abu Lahab perished, and perish he!” Reader: The remaining speech in the audio is too shameless and vulgar to be transmitted and one becomes amazed that such shameless speech can be uttered by a person who attributes himself to knowledge.

However, this du’aa of Al-Hajoori is enough a calamity-wishing that a Muslim ends up like Abu Lahab.  Look at the extremism of this person! When one looks at the tafseer of this ayah and what the Ulama have mentioned about Abu lahab, he/she realizes the severity and excess thoughts and ideas in Al-Hajoori’s brain.  Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) stated in his Tafseer of Juz Amma that [Allaah began with (mention) of Abu Lahab’s two hands: ”Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab” because they are the instruments of work and movement, giving and taking]. Likewise, we find the scholars mentioning that Allaah censured Abu Lahab with this great censure, which is ignominy for him in this life and the next–a complete loss and wretchedness, and he will achieve no success. He died a disbeliever and was not benefited by his worldly possessions.

We seek Allaah’s protection from falsehood, insanity and fanaticism. This is what the haddaadi Yahyah Al-Hajoori invokes on Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari: ”May you perish O Bukhaari, just as the two hands of Abu Lahab perished, and perish he.”  This is how Al-Hajoori deals with the Mashaayikh of Ahlus Sunnah—a typical trait of the Haddaadiyyah.

Likewise, Mourad Al-Jazaa’iri’s behaviour is very similar to that of Al-Hajoori, so examine what he said on 23/08/2013 against those who reject Al-Hajoori’s misguidance and Guluww!!! Misguided Murad said: ”May Allaah Almighty curse the liars and expose the hypocrite double standard.’’ This madness was uttered on behalf of defending a haddaadi.

On the other hand, Mourad’s also slanders Shaikh Rabee saying that the Shaikh is blindly followed and has produced no evidence against Hajoori. Then Murad further manifested his misguidance and madness saying that Shaikh Rabee should listen to the advice of Al-Hajoori Al-Haddaadi Al-Mubtadi and that Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi has produced no evidence etc. Likewise, Mourad uttered other disgraceful speech against Shaikh Ubaid and Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari.  This is what has afflicted Mourad al-Jazaa’iri–sheltering an innovator and attacking the Mashaayikh of Ahlus Sunnah.  Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah (may Allaah preserve him) reminded us recently, saying:

Ibn Battah: One of the Salaf was asked, “Who is the Sunni?” He answered: “The one who does not get angry when bid’ah (or its people) are spoken about.”  By Allaah, this is a defining and distinctive trait of the Salafis past and present. They are the most knowledgeable of the people in the arena of aqeedah and they are the sternest against the opposers (mukhaalifeen).  They are the gentlest between each other; they are the most obedient to Allaah and the most God-fearing; they hold to the Rope of Allaah, which is the Book and the Sunnah and the Jamaa’ah. They hate division and splitting and partisanship. They are like one body in their mutual love, mercy and compassion – when any part of this body is in pain, the rest of the body feels restless and feels the pain.  The Salafi upon the path of istiqaamah does not let down his ‘ulamaa when they are attacked and reviled nor the students of knowledge who call to Allaah. He doesn’t forsake the people of truth, or turn his back on them, or backbite them, or revile them. If he is not able to aid the truth, or aid the people of truth, he should at least remain quiet and not oppose them – rather he should make du’aa for them, for indeed the Salafi is upon clarity, always, till his death.  Cultivate these traits in yourself and your families. [end of quote]

So where is Mourad’s jealousy in defending the people of truth in this regard; rather he defends an excessive haddaadi innovtor, curses the opponents of this haddaadi and speaks against the Mashaayikh.  Indeed, Mourad (may Allaah guide him) is upon falsehood and evil in his affair.  It is enough that he attacks the Mashaayikh based on his fanatical love and defense of Al-Hajoori…what an evil state of affairs! Ibn Asaakir (rahimahullaah) said:

”Know O my brother! May Allaah grant us and you His pleasure and make us from those who have awe of Him and fear of Him as He should be feared. Indeed, the flesh of the scholars is poisonous and Allaah’s way of disclosing the hidden affairs of those who diminish their worth is well known. [Tabyeen Kadhib Al-Muftaree Fee Maa Nusiba Ilal-Imaam Abil hasan Al-Ash’aree: page 29]

Therefore, Mourad should take heed and repent to Allaah (The Most Merciful).  We ask Allaah to return Mourad, Hajoori and the Hajaawira to correctness or protect us from their acts of misguidance, falsehood and excesses….Aameen

To be continued….In-Shaa-Allaah

”O Allaah! These people do not know me, but You know me”

Ataa As-Sulaymee (rahimahullaah) said:

”I heard Ja’far Ibn Yazeed (rahimahullaah) mentioning that a man once went past a gathering, so they praised him with good.  When he left them, he said: ”O Allaah! Indeed these (people) do not know me, but You know me.” [Source: Kitaab As-Samt’ of Ibn Abee Dunyaa.  Page: 272]

Imaam Tirmidhi’s (rahimahullaah) Rulings on Ahaadeeth [Brief comment by Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi]

Shaikh Muhammed ibn Haadee (may Allaah preserve him) was asked whether the ruling of at-Tirmidhee when he makes a hadeeth “Saheeh” can be relied up. He answered: At-Tirmidhee’s rulings of Saheeh upon a hadeeth are stronger than his Hasan rulings. Also, he has been described as somewhat lenient. So when looking at Imaam at-Tirmidhee one should look to see who agrees with him from the well-known and bonafide scholars of hadeeth. [Source: https://twitter.com/AbuKhadeejahSP]

The Sunni doesn’t get Angry when Bid’ah (or its people) are Spoken About – Abu Khadeejah

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Updated: Question to Sh. Hassan Al-Banna On Women Setting Up Da’wah Groups & Duroos

Link to Audio: CLICK HERE

Question:

Our Shaykh, the question is: Here in the west, particularly in America, Canada, and Britain, we have well-known Salafee Masaajid, and centers; classes and lectures are held therein with some of the students of knowledge and visiting scholars whenever possible. When this is the case, is it okay for the women who live near to these Salafee centers to establish Da’wah groups distinct from the centers and Masaajid in their areas, in which the people are gathered upon good?

And what is your advice to the women who are the founders of these organizations?

Answer:

It is incumbent that they ask the men and not suffice with their (own) knowledge; because the knowledge of the women is deficient. They have to ask the men. When she has a problem then she must ask (the men) and when there is a matter which is common and easy which everyone knows, then she can speak regarding it. As for in cases of necessity in which there is a question then she is to ask a Shaykh and take from him; either by way of the telephone or when a Shaykh comes to them then she can ask him. The women may have distinct lessons, but it is  a must that scholars supervise them, even if by way of the telephone. And they are to ask them.

However, the woman is not to suffice with herself; because the men have learned and are able to study and travel to the lands and that is not easy for the women. So it is a MUST that she refer to the men.

Perhaps she may say: “I am a Shaykhah!” Huh? You are a Shaykhah? You have studied?
You are (but) a student; a student of knowledge. Allaahul-Musta’aan. May Allaah bless you and may Allaah reward you with good.
Questioner:

May Allaah give you life; may Allaah reward you, our Shaykh.

Shaykh Adds:
The Prophet (upon him be prayers and peace) said: “Convey from me, even if only one verse.” The woman may convey. If you know a verse; you understand it and you act upon it, then mention it to the people. Similarly for the woman; she may speak with it to the people.
HOWEVER, sitting and giving lessons all day and the people coming to her, she does not have the ability to do this. She has other more important matters; (such as) the children; the home; her husband; and so on. They are affairs which every woman knows their value. The role of the woman is great in the cultivation of the children; and Islaam has given her a great station; and that is remaining within the home; and she is (therein) an Ameerah! She cultivates the children upon good. However, she is not like the European woman, doing whatever she wants; no. All of it is within the limits of the Sharee’ah. And may Allaah bless you and reward you with good.
