Shaikh Fawzaan was asked about the statement of some of the callers to Islaam, who say that the Rawaafid (Shiites) are our brothers; so the Shaikh replied saying that we are free from them for Allaah’s Sake. We free ourselves from this speech for the sake of Allaah. They (i.e. rawaafid shiites) are not our brothers. By Allaah they are not our brothers; rather they are brothers of the devil; because they revile the mother of the believers Aaisha [The wife of the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) whom Allaah chose for the Prophet; the truthful one and daughter of the truthful one (i.e. Abu Bakr)]. They (i.e. the rawaafid) make takfeer of Abu Bakr and Umar (radiyallaahu-anhumaa) and they curse them. They make takfeer of all the Sahaabah, except the household of the Prophet such as Ali Ibn Abee Taalib (radiyallaahu-anhu) alongside the fact that they are enemies of Ali. Ali freed himself from them. Ali is a leader of ours and not their leader. He is an Imaam of Ahlus Sunnah and not an Imaam of the Raafidah- the forsaken ones. We are free from them. Whoever says that they (i.e. raafidah) are our brothers should repent to Allaah and ask for Allaah’s forgiveness. Allaah (The Most High) has obligated on us to free ourselves from the people of misguidance and give loyalty to the people of Eemaan.
