In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy
Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) said that Al-Hasan (al-Basree) said, ‘The wise man does not argue or seek to overcome with stratagem rather he propagates his wisdom. If it is accepted he praises Allah and if it is rejected he praises Allah'
Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah) commented on the above statement saying: Concerning the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree that Hasan al-Basree said: ‘The wise man does not argue or seek to overcome with stratagem….’
Al-Hasan Al-Basree: He is Al-Hasan Ibnu Abil Hasan Al-Basree the well-known Imaam from amongst the Taaýbiýeen. He said:
‘The wise man’, that is the one who possesses wisdom, and wisdom is to place something in its (proper) place. Likewise, the wise one means the one with understanding. Therefore, two meanings are intended by Al-Hakeem (the wise one). The first intended meaning is one who places the affairs in their (proper) place. And it is also intended to mean the one who has understanding, because wisdom is understanding and knowledge of what is intended by Allah and His Messenger (i.e. the understanding of the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger).
He (i.e. the wise one) ‘does not argue’. He does not debate (with) a fruitless debate that is devoid of benefit.
‘And he (i.e. the wise one) does not seek to overcome with stratagem’. He does not seek to overcome the people of falsehood with stratagem and to make them submit. ‘His wisdom’, that is he propagates his knowledge and if accepted he praises Allah. This is what is sought after. And if it (i.e. his knowledge/wisdom) is not accepted, he is absolved of his responsibility and the proof is conveyed.
And concerning the statement, ‘He (i.e. the wise one) praises Allah’; because he established and conveyed the proof, and fulfilled that which is required of him, and the guiding of the hearts is in the hands of Allah (Glorified and Exalted Be He). [End of quote]
So let this be the first reminder for the Admin of Masjid Al-Furqaan! The Salafiyyoon in the UK never employ the methodology you are upon—the methodology of concealment and mixing Haqq with Baatil. Your companions are well-known, such as the likes of Abu Usamah, Saeed Rageah and other hizbiyyoon; whilst you seek to hide your reality. Do you think that you can hide the fact that you are sheltering a man of bidah (i.e. Abu Usaamah), who attacks Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him) and defends the innovators [Maribi (Ikhwaani); Halabi (Murji) and Maghraawi (Takfeeri)?] As for the Salafiyyoon, they do not hide their reality from anyone-neither from the Mashaayikh of Salafiyyah nor from the people of bidah and hizbiyyah.
”The Prophet (sallal laahu alayhi-sallam) was clear with everyone regarding his call. When he arrived in Madeenah -at that vicinity of Masjid Quba (i.e. which he later built as the first Masjid), he disseminated the call with clarity and purity; so it made the hypocrites conceal themselves and they did not receive it except by manifesting Islaam, whilst surely hiding what they hid (i.e. disbelief in their hearts). This is likewise the habit of the people of falsehood; they do not make apparent what they (truly) believe. As for the people of clarity, they are people who openly proclaim (what they truly believe); so beware of the people who hide.”
Obviously, we do not mean that Masjid Al-Furqaan’s Admin are Munaafiqoon in belief; however the intent here is that they have not made apparent what they are upon in reality; rather they deliberately hide their reality, whilst allied to a man of Bidah (Abu Usaamah), but seek to utilize Mashaayikh considered to be upon the Sunnah.
