[5] The Ruling on Saalim At-Taweel’s [كذاب أشر — Insolent Liar!] statement that there is hizbiyyah in the Nufoos of everyone, even the Sahaabah!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Badr Al-Badr (may Allaah preserve him) said: I asked our Shaikh, the father, Saalih Al-Luhaydaan (may Allaah preserve him) on Monday morning 01/03/1436: ”One of the callers (to Islaam) in Kuwait said: Even the Sahaabah (radiyallaahu-anhum), there was hizbiyyah in their Nufoos” and he [i.e. this caller to Islaam) used as proof [the hadeeth] ”’O Ansaar! O Muhaajiroon!” [i.e. the dispute that took place between two young companions amongst the Ansaar and the Muhaajiroon, so the both of them called out for assistance]

So our Shaikh (i.e. Shaikh Luhaydaan) said: This one [i.e. the one who says that even the Sahaabah had hizbiyyah in their nufoos) is misguided and his speech is baatil….. [1]

Shaikh Ubaid Al-Jaabiri (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

The statement  that At-tahazzub (illegal partisanship) is present in all the people is incorrect because Ahlus Sunnah are the Hizbullaah (The party of Allaah)-they do not come together except based on the Book of Allaah, the Sunnah of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and the understanding of the Salaf; rather At-Tahazzub (illegal partisanship) is found with the innovators. For instance you find that sometimes a man is one who intermingles—sometimes he goes with Ikhwaan al-Muslimeen; sometimes with the Tableeghees and sometimes with other deviated groups regardless of the differing in the religion (i.e. blameworthy differing in Aqeedah and Manhaj)….

The sahaabah are not Ahzaab [i.e. divergent parties or groups]; rather they are Al-Muhaajiroon (i.e. the believers who migrated from Makkah and joined the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) in Madeenah] and Al-Ansaar (i.e. those believers in Madeenah who welcomed the Immigrants]…..

This statement which was uttered by this man-a Miskeen; misguided and lost one- is evidence against the people of illegal partisanship and the illegal partisans are Mubtadia. They do not come together except based on what they desire…..[2]

Shaikh Jamaal Bin Fareehaan Al-Haarithi (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

Ali Ibn Shaqeeq (rahimahullaah) said: I heard Abdullaah Ibnul Mubaarak (rahimahullaah) saying in the midst of the people: Leave the narrations of Amr Bin Thaabit because he used to revile the Salaf (i.e. the pious predecessors).” [Muslim 1/16]

How about if Ibnul Mubaarak (rahimahullaah) was to appear amongst us (today)! What would he have said about those who speak ill of the companions of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and speak concerning them with evil speech, such as the likes of Mawdoodi, Sayyid Qutb, Taariq Suwaydaan, Hasan Bin Farhaan Al-Maaliki, Abul Hasan Al-Maribi Al-Misri and those who defend these people or keep silent about them!
