[5] Mission Impossible or Impassable?! [Speaker’s Claims of Accusations Are/Were Either An Attempt to Pull The Wool Over The Eyes of The Audience Or A Lack of Smartness and Discernment!!!]

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

The speaker-whilst defending Greenlane’s Admin-spoke about the severity of false accusation, and that whoever accuses another person with something regarding his [Aqeedah, Manhaj or belief system(1)], then indeed he will face his opponent in the presence of Allaah…..

Firstly: Let us remind ourselves of this hadeeth: “Narrated Umm Salamah (radiyallaahu-anhaa): The Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said: Indeed, I am only a human being and you people (i.e. disputants) come to me with your disputes. And it may be that one of you can present his case more eloquently than the other and I consider him truthful, and judge in his favour. So if I ever judge and give the right of a brother to his brother, then it is a piece of hell-fire and let him not take it.” [Book of Judgements: Chapter 29: Hadeeth Number: 7181]

Some benefits derived from this hadeeth in Fat-hul Baari

This hadeeth shows that speech can be seen to be true in the apparent, but it is truly falsehood with regards to what is hidden within it.  Also this hadeeth shows the sinfulness of the one who argues based on falsehood until he receives what he wants publicly, whilst he is upon falsehood.   [For Further details, see Kitaab Al-Ahkaam of Imaam Bukhari with Fathul Baari]

Secondly: Let us remind ourselves of another narration transmitted from Ameerul Mumineen Umar Ibnul Khattaab (radiyallaahu-anhu) who stated: “People were (sometimes) judged by the revealing of a Divine Inspiration during the lifetime of Allah’s Apostle but now there is no longer any more (new revelation). Now we judge you by the deeds you practice publicly, so we will trust and favour the one who does good deeds in front of us, and we will not call him to account about what he is really doing in secret, for Allah will judge him for that; but we will not trust or believe the one who presents to us with an evil deed even if he claims that his intentions were good.” [Saheeh Bukhaari: Vol 3; Hadith Number: 2641]

Imaam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said: ”Whoever manifests good, it will be accepted from him and a good suspicion is held about him. And if he manifests evil, it is held against him and an evil suspicion is held about him.” [For further details, see Al-Hulalul Ibreeziyyah Min At-Taleeqaat Al-Baaziyyah Alaa Saheeh Al-Bukhaari page: 397 Vol 2 footnotes 1]

Thirdly: Indeed, the speaker suggested that one should be smart and discerning! Therefore, let us use this smartness and discernment to find out whether the following are false accusations or reality:

*Greenlane’s Admin openly co-operates with the organizations of bidah, such as (Ihyaa Turaath and Al-Maghrib Institute)

*Greenlane’ Admin openly co-operates with Adnaan Abdul-Qaadir (a student and close companion of the Takfeeri-Revolutionary Mubtadi Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul-Khaaliq)

*Greenlane’s Admin openly promotes some of those who defend some leading figureheads of Ikhwaaniyyah and Qutubiyyah, such as Safar, Salman, Aaidh Al-Qarni and Adnaan Ar’oor.

*Greenlane’s Admin openly shelters Abu Usaamah, a staunch and obstinate defender of two vile Mubtadia (Ali Halabi Al-Murji Al-Mubtadi and Al-Maribi Al-Ikhwaani Al-Mubtadi); rather Abu Usaamah even transmits praise for the leading Ikhwaani Mubtadi Yusuf Al-Qaradaawi.

These are some of the crimes openly committed by Greenalne’s Admin in the name of Salafiyyah and the Sunnah; however the speaker sought to pull the wool over the eyes of his audience, indicating with his speech that Greenlane’s Admin are being falsely accused. Indeed, this is nothing else but either deceit or a lack of smartness and discernment! Rather, the speaker should advise Greenlane’s Admin and Abu Usaamah to stop committing the crimes mentioned above.

Finally: We remind Greenlane’s Admin and Abu Usaamah of the following narrations of the Salaf, which are also a reminder to all those who desire to distance themselves from the callers to bidah, hizbiyyah, promoters of Mubtadia, deviants etc, such as Ihyaa Turaath, Al-Maghrib Institute, Safar, Salmaan, Ar’oor, Al-Qaradaawi etc

Imaam Sufyaan Ath-Thawree (rahimahullaah) said:

‘Whoever lends an ear to a person of innovation, has left the protection of Allaah and is entrusted to it (i.e. to the innovation)’ Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) commented on the above statement, saying: The hadith about fleeing from the people of innovation and not to sit with them, nor to accompany them has proceeded; so whoever accompanies them and listens to their statements and does not reject them, he will be destroyed alongside them. It is not permissible for you to lend an ear and listen to them whilst saying: ‘I am a believer with strong Eemaan and I am well acquainted with the Aqeedah, and they cannot have an effect on me.’ This is self-deception (and) trial for the people because being distant from them and not listening to their false statements is Safety. As for lending your ear to them, then you will become worthy of being put to trial alongside them.

And regarding Sufyaan’s statement: ‘And is entrusted to it (i.e. to the innovation)’: Shaikh Saaleh Al Fawzaan commented: Because Allaah safeguards the one who seeks safety with Him but the one who listens to innovation is worthy of being put to trial by it. He is entrusted to it and is removed from the Protection of Allaah. [Source: It-haaful Qaaree Bitta’liqaat Alaa Sharh As-Sunnah Lil Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) page: 316-317 Vol: 2]

Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad (rahimahullaah) said:

‘Whoever sits with a person of innovation has not been given wisdom’ Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) commented on the above statement saying: He (i.e. the one who sits with a person of innovation) is deprived of wisdom. Wisdom is to understand the Religion of Allaah and the one who sits with the people of innovation is deprived of the understanding of the Religion as punishment for him. [Source: It-haaful Qaaree Bitta’liqaat Alaa Sharh As-Sunnah Lil Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) age: 318, Vol: 2)]

Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad (rahimahullaah) said:

‘Whoever sits in a road with a person of innovation, take a different road.’ Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) commented on the above statement saying: Be it even in a road; if you see him in a road do not go with him. Do not accompany them in a road nor on a journey, for they will have an effect on you. Then where does this leave those who go with the innovators and accompany them in the pretext of dawah? [Source: It-haaful Qaaree Bitta’liqaat Alaa Sharh As-Sunnah Lil Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) page: 319-320 Vol: 2)]

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:

It is not permissible to exalt and praise the innovators even if they have with them some of that which is the truth; because raising and praising them will spread their bidah and places them amongst the sincere ones—those who are taken as examples from amongst the men of distinction of this ummah. The Salaf have warned against having trust for the innovators and (they) have warned against praising them, and (they have warned) from their gatherings. And with regards to this Asad Ibn Musa (rahimahullaah) wrote: ”And be beware of being a brother of the innovator (by association) or a companion of his, or one whom you sit with. For indeed the narration has come that: ”whoever sits with a person of innovation has left the protection of Allaah and is entrusted to himself. Whoever proceeds towards a person of innovation has proceeded towards the destruction of Islaam”.

The innovators must be warned against and (one) should be distanced from them, even if they have with them some of the truth. Indeed, the most astray are not devoid of something of the truth, but as long as they have with them innovation, opposition and sinful views/ideas, then it is not permissible to praise and exalt them. And it is not permissible to not have an objection towards their innovation because this spreads bidah and belittles the Sunnah. And through this the innovator will emerge and become a guide for the Ummah. No, Allaah has decreed and the obligation is that they are warned against.

And there are those Imaams in every era, who have no affairs of innovation with them. And all Praise is due to Allaah, in them is that which suffices the Ummah. They are the leaders/guides. What is obligatory is that (we) follow the straight path which has no innovation. As for the innovator, then it is obligatory to warn against him-he is exposed until the people are cautious of him and until him and his followers are subdued.

And as for (giving) consideration (to the fact) that he has something of the truth, then this does not justify praising him. This is to a far greater extent against that which is of overriding benefit. And it is known with regards to a principle of the religion that averting harm takes precedence over seeking that which is of benefit. And with regards to showing animosity towards the innovator, the harm that is averted from the Ummah is weightier than what he has of assumed benefit, (if that is the case).

And had we adhered to this concept, no one would have been judged to be misguided and declared an innovator. This is because there is not an innovator except that he has with him some of that which is from the truth and adherence to the Sunnah. The innovator (may) neither be a disbeliever nor in opposition to all the Islamic legislation; rather he is either an innovator in some or most of the affairs.

And if the innovation is particularly to do with affairs of Creed and Methodology, then the affair is dangerous indeed; because it becomes a model and innovation will be spread, and the innovators will become active in spreading their innovation.  So, this one who praises the innovators and makes their affair obscure to the people with what they (innovators) have with them of truth, then this is one of two (people): [1] He is either one ignorant of the methodology of the pious predecessors and their stance against the innovators, and it is neither permissible for this ignorant one to speak nor is it permissible for the Muslims to listen to him. 2. Or he is one who has an objection to the truth; because he knows the danger of innovation and the innovators, but he is one who has an objection and wishes to spread innovations. Nevertheless, this is all a dangerous affair and it is not permissible to be lackadaisical with regards to innovation and its people, whatever that may be.  [End of quote: Source:At-Tabdee Wat-Tafseeq Wat Takfeer.
