[D] Muhammad Al-Maaliki Deliberately Sought to Downplay the Severity of The Obstinacy Masjid As-Sunnah’s Admin Have Been upon for More Than Ten Years!
In The Name of Allaah The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy
Throughout his slanderous speech against those who criticized Masjid As-Sunnah’s Admin based on the unambiguous knowledge based refutations of some of the Kibaarul Ulama and the senior students of knowledge, Muhammad Al-Maaliki deliberately ignored the fact that the dispute between the criticizers at Al-Markazus Salafi and Masjid As-Sunnah’s Admin was due to the fitnah of the three figureheads of bidah (Al-Maribi, Al-Halabi and Al-Maghraawi). The Salafiyyoon of Al-Markazus Salafi, just like their brothers and sisters in the other Maraakiz, shun the Mubtadi’ah (Al-Halabi, Al-Maghraawi and Al-Maribi), whereas Masjid As-Sunnah’s Admin and Admins similar to them (i.e. Brixton, Luton) are defenders of those Mubtadi’ah based on falsehood and not that they are unaware of their innovations. Rather Masjid As-Sunnah’s Admin have persisted in defence of Al-Maribi and Al-Maghraawi for more than ten years!
However, Muhammad Al-Maaliki came to the assistance of the Admin and deceitfully presented their affair as something that does not warrant the criticism they have received based on the unambiguous knowledge base refutations of the scholars against their figureheads of Bidah (Al-Maribi, Al-Halabi and Al-Maghraawi). He deliberately failed to give the affair its due right and deceitfully played about with the words ‘mistakes’ and ‘sins’ with respect to the Admin’s true state of affairs. So, in his deliberate attempt at downplaying the prolonged obstinacy of the Admin, Muhammad Al-Maaliki informed his listeners that no one is infallible except the Messengers, and that even the Sahaabah committed mistakes (i.e. Muhammad cites the incident when a Sahaabi was drunk due to drinking alcohol)….
Firstly: The critics at Al-Markazus Salafi, just like the other critics in the other Maraakiz, are not rebuking the staunch followers of the Mubtad’ah for drinking alcohol. This is neither the subject matter of the discussion nor the reason behind the criticisms directed at Al-Maribi, Al-Halabi, Al-Maghraawi and their staunch followers. The critics at Al-Markazus Salafi, in particular, have never seen anyone amongst Masjid As-Sunnah’s Admin drinking alcohol-neither in private nor in public; rather the Admin has always been rebuked in the past ten years due to their persistent defence of the Mubtadi’ah (Al-Maribi, Al-Halabi and Al-Maghraawi). The critics in the various Masaajid and Maraakiz of Salafiyyah transmit the clear verdicts of the scholars against the Mubtadi’ah and their staunch followers because of the severity of bidah and those who call to it. Perhaps we should remind ourselves of a few statements of Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) as follows…. Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said:
“If it were not for those whom Allaah placed to repel the danger of them [meaning the innovators], the Religion would have been corrupted. Their corruption is worse than the corruption caused by the conquering of the enemies at times of war. For indeed, when they conquer, they do not corrupt hearts or the Religion found in them, except for a while. But as for these people [i.e. the innovators], then they corrupt the hearts from the very beginning.” [Majmoo Al-Fataawaa (28/232)]
He (rahimahullaah) also said:“The people of innovation are worse than the people of lustful sins, according to the Sunnah and the Ijmaa’ (consensus).” [Majmoo Al-Fataawaa (20/103)]
Therefore, if you [Muhammad Al-Maaliki] truly understands the danger of the Mubtadi’ah, including [Al-Maribi (Ikhwaani Mubtadi); Al-Halabi (Murji Mubtadi) and Al-Maghraawi (Takfeeri Mubtadi)] then why did you deliberately aid Masjid As-Sunnah’s Admin and attacked those who criticize them based on the unambiguous knowledge based criticisms of the scholars?! Rather you [Muhammad Al-Maaliki] endorsed the lies of the hizbiyyoon and even defended the likes of Goldie (Abu Usaamah)-a well-known liar and man of Bidah, who aids Al-Maribi and Al-Halabi and slanders the Salafiyyoon
Secondly: It is well known that not all mistakes are equal in their severity, nor is it that all those who commit mistakes are treated in the same manner. However, it has become very common for the Mumayyi’een, especially those defending Al-Halabi, Al-Maghraawi and Al-Maribi upon Baatil, in utilizing the word ‘Mistakes’ without differentiating the severity of such mistakes and the behaviour of those who committed such mistakes based on the unambiguous knowledge based proofs presented by the scholars. Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi (may Allaah preserve him) clarified this very affair for Dr Ibraaheem Ruhayli as follows…..
Dr Ibraaheem Ar-Ruhayli (may Allaah rectify his affair) stated: It is obligatory to preserve the status and acknowledge the position of those scholars of Ahlus Sunnah who are known for their sound creed and Ijtihaad in aiding the Sunnah. It is not permissible to diminish their worth; declaring them innovators; accusing them of (following) desires or bigoted partisanship merely due to their mistakes in Ijtihaad.
Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi (may Allaah preserve him) responded to this statement of Dr Ruhayli and unveiled once again the reality behind this affair. He pointed out to Dr Ruhayli that this statement of his is an indisputable affair (in the view) of Ahlus Sunnah regarding those who are known for their sound creed and ijtihaad in aiding the Sunnah- even though errors may occur from them in the intricate affairs of the religion and those affairs whose reality or evidence is not apparent to some people, however their status is preserved and their positions acknowledged. No one speaks ill of them except a person of desires just as is the case with the people of desires.
[a] However, if the deviation is related to the manifestly clear affairs, such as when this claimant to the Sunnah defends the people of bidah and misguidance-those who propagate the falsehood of Wahdatul Wujood; negation of Allaah’s Attributes; revilement of the companions of the Messenger; the eternity of the souls and other than these clear affairs of misguidance; or he defends-by way of lies and treachery-those who hold the view regarding Wahdatul Adyaan etc and other manifest affairs of misguidance, which are even rejected by (other) people of bidah and misguidance;
[b] And in addition to this he wages war against Ahlus Sunnah-seeking to devalue their scholars; considers them to be extremists and that they are from those who utilise odd speech when confronting the people of misguidance and when refuting their innovations;
[c] And in addition to this he innovates false principles in order to contradict the Usool of Ahlus Sunnah- [such as the false principle “we rectify mistakes but we do not refute.” And some of them say: “we rectify mistakes but we do not destroy.” And the false principle: ‘I am not obliged (or obligated)]- by way of which they seek to reject truth that is clear as the sun;
[d] And he also applies the term ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wal -Ittibaa’ to the people of bidah and the misguided paths that include affairs of Shirk, Bidah and Wahdatul Wujood;
[e] And he describes Ahlus Sunnah with the words scum, vile, extremists, blind followers, bigots and other wicked speech against Ahlus Sunnah;
[f] And in addition, he describes the Sahaabah with the word ‘Ghuthaa-scum’ and does not consider this description to be revilement if it is uttered by the likes of himself…..
Indeed with regards to this category of people whose state of affairs is as such, then it is not permissible for a sane person- who is acquainted with the Sunnah and honours the Sunnah- that he considers such people to be from Ahlus Sunnah; or asking the people to preserve their status and acknowledge their ranks; or forbids the people from declaring them innovators; or forbids the people from accusing them of following desires and bigotry, despite the fact that their evil desires, affairs of misguidance, trials and illegal partisanship to the major people of misguidance are all manifest; whilst on the other hand their war against Ahlus Sunnah is clear and manifest; for indeed Ahlus Sunnah and their Imaams declare (a person) an innovator due to (affairs) that are far lesser than these calamities.
And we find Imaam Ahmad (rahimahullaah) saying about the one who reviles Ahlul Hadeeth: “(He is a) heretic, a heretic!’’ Ahlus Sunnah stated about this ruling of Imaam Ahmad -and from them Shaikhul Islaam ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) who stated with emphasis: ‘’That is because he (Ahmad) knew its significance.” Imaam Abu Zur’ah (rahimahullaah) stated: ‘’Whoever diminishes the worth of a single one amongst the companions of Muhammad, then he is a heretic.’’ Ahlus Sunnah transmitted this statement and no one opposed it. And here are the books of Aqeedah and the books of Jarh Wat-Tadeel in the presence of the people.
Allaah (The Most High) stated:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا
يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا
”O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth. He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e. he will be saved from the Hell-fire and made to enter Paradise). [Soorah Al-Ahzaab. Ayah: 70-71] [End][ 2]
Finally, we ask Muhammad Al-Maaliki: Do you deliberately downplay the severity of the innovators [Al-Maribi, Al-Halabi and Al-Maghraawi] by aiding those who have defended them for many years within the Masjid As-Sunnah’s Admin and slander those who rebuke them based on the unambiguous knowledge based refutation of some of the Kibaarul Ulama and the senior students of knowledge! And just in case the hizbiyyoon seek to deceive the common people by claiming that some other scholars have not spoken, then it should be noted that [من علم حجة على من لا يعلم – The one who knows is a proof against the one who does not know]. Shaikh Ubaid Bin Abdullaah Al-Jaabiri (may Allaah preserve him said: ”The one who knows of a mistake and it is clear to him, then it is not permissible for him to blindly follow a scholar to whom an affair is hidden. And indeed you already heard yesterday that the scholars are not infallible in their Ijtihaadaat. Therefore, it is not permissible to adopt them (i.e. the mistakes of the scholars) as a methodology (to follow).”
Likewise, it should be made absolutely clear to you [Muhammad Al-Maliki] and all other deceivers that we are not at loggerheads with the common people at Masjid As-Sunnah-those who do not understand the issues or are deceived by the Admin and the likes of yourself; rather the criticisms we transmit from the scholars are directed at the Masjid Admin, the likes of Abu Shuraih Al-Libi, Abu Umaamah Al-Libi, Abu Abdillaah Akram (Sharghaawi) and others similar to them-all of whom consider themselves to be seekers of knowledge and not from the commoners. And for this reason Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi gave a verdict against them in 2003 [see here: http://safeshare.tv/w/RbhddhDFFs ]
So if you [Muhammad Al-Maaliki] ever decide to aid a people and criticize their opponents, then make sure you speak with justice, knowledge and fear of Allaah. Do not aid a people who aid Mubtadi’ah and do not slander those who transmit the unambiguous knowledge based proofs of the scholars against the Mubtadi’ah and their obstinate followers at Masjid As-Sunnah’s Admin and elsewhere. Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said: ”Speech about the people has to be with knowledge and justice, and not by way of ignorance and oppression.” [Minhaajus Sunnah: 4/337]
He (rahimahullaah) also said: He (rahimahullaah) also said: ”The just amongst men is the one who informs of an affair the way it is; he neither adds to it and becomes a liar nor does he subtract from it and becomes a concealer.”[Majmoo 20/84]
