A means of receiving Allaah’s Aid and Assistance- By Imaam Ibnul Qayyim

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said:

”The level of a slave’s (sincerity) in his intention, determination, aim and fervent desire determines Allaah’s Tawfeeq (i.e. Allaah’s guidance for a slave and enabling him to act upon it) and His Aid for him.  Aid and Assistance from Allaah descends upon the slaves in accordance with the (sincerity) in their determination.”

A means of strengthening servitude to Allaah- By Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) said:

”Whenever a slave’s (i.e. a believer’s) intention is strengthened in sincerity, his servitude to (Allaah) is strengthened.”

[Al-Fataawaa 10/198]

Be Mindful of Kibr because it destroys a person!

Allaah (The Most High) said:

That home of the Hereafter (i.e. Paradise), We shall assign to those who rebel not against the truth with pride and oppression in the land nor do mischief by committing crimes. And the good end is for the Muttaqun (pious) [Surah Al-Qasas Ayah 83]

 Allaah (The Most High) said:

And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height.’’ [Surah Al-Israa Ayah 37]

Allaah (The Most High) said:

And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah likes not each arrogant boaster. [Surah Luqman Ayah 18]

Do not feel safe with the one who gives you false praise!

Wahb Ibn Munabbih (rahimahullaah) said:

If you hear a man praising you with what is not in you, then do not feel safe that he will blame you with what is not in you.”
