Al-A’mash (rahimahullaah) said: I approached Khaythama (rahimahullaah) and said, Indeed I saw something from Ibraaheem (An-Nakha’ee) the likes of which I have not seen (before); he (Khaythama) said, What is it? I said, I saw him sitting with strangers and informed him about it, so he said, I was sitting close to them and disliked that by leaving them people might see that as a sign of some superiority I have over them, so I sat with them.  [Source: التواضع والخمول – pages 113-114]
