What to do if Self-Amazement Is Concealed Within You!

Imaam Shaafi’ee (rahimahullaah) said:

”If self-amazement is concealed within your deeds, then recall the one whose pleasure you are seeking, which blessings you desire and which outcome you fear. The one who ponders upon this, his actions will become small in his presence.” [Siyar A’laam Nubulaa: 10/42]

Taking Oneself to Account Regarding Love of Praise and Self-Amazement!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Sufyaan Ath’Thawree (rahimahullaah) said: Beware of what corrupts your deeds, for indeed Riyaa is what corrupts your deeds. And if it is not Riyaa, then it may be you being amazed with yourself until it makes you think that you are more virtuous than your brother. It may be that you have not achieved deeds the likes of which he has achieved, and it may be that he has more Wara [apprehensive fear(Ref:1)] and righteous deeds than you.

And if it is not self-amazement, then beware of loving the praise of the people-loving their praise so that they may honour you due to your deeds and see you as someone of nobility and high status in their hearts. Remembering death a lot is enough to make you have less concern for the things of the worldly life and make you have a fervent desire for the afterlife. A prolonged hope (for the things of this worldly life) is enough as a (means) to having little fear of (Allaah) and committing acts of disobedience, and the distress and regret on the Day of Judgment is enough for the one who knows but does not act. Deliberately Decide To Harm Others and Plan To Feign Ignorance Later!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

plotting1

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:

[مكر (plotting)]: It is to deceive the people by showing them the opposite of what you conceal. You show them that you are sincere and truthful to them, whilst you are the opposite of that, in order to harm them. Plotting is to harm another person in a hidden manner which (the one being harmed) does not realise. This is not permissible.

Blameworthy Envy – Shaykh Al Uthaymeen

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Blameworthy) Envy: It is said that (envy is when a person) wishes that the blessings of Allah (bestowed) on other him should cease. And it is (also) said that it is to dislike the blessings of Allah (bestowed) on other than him, and this second (saying) is the definition (given by) shaykh ul islaam ibn Taymiyyah (Rahimahullah).

He said: whoever dislikes the blessings of Allah (bestowed) on other than him, then he has envied him, regardless whether he desires that it ceases or not. And what he said is the most correct, due to the statement of the prophet (Sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam):

“One of you does not truly believe until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself”.

Therefore, how can you dislike for your brother that Allaah has favoured him with knowledge, or wealth, or status, or children or other than that, whilst you do not dislike that for yourself?! This is envy, so it is obligated on you to avoid this.

Reminder: Abu Hurairah and His Mother – An Amazing Narration That Bring Tears to The Eyes!

abu

Abu Huraira reported: I invited my mother, who was a polytheist, to Islam. I invited her one day and she said to me something about Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) which I hated. I came to Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) weeping and said: Allaah’s Messenger, I invited my mother to Islam but she did not accept (my invitation). I invited her today but she said to me something which I did not like. (Kindly) supplicate Allaah that He may set the mother of Abu Huraira right. Thereupon Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: O Allaah, set the mother of Abu Huraira on the right path. I came out quite pleased with the supplication of Allaah’s Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) and when I came near the door it was closed from within. My mother heard the noise of my footsteps and she said: Abu Huraira, just wait, and I heard the noise of falling of water. She took a bath and put on the shirt and quickly covered her head with a headdress and opened the door and then said: Abu Huraira, I bear witness to the fact that there is none worthy of worship (in truth) but Allaah and Muhammad is His bondsman and His Messenger. He (Abu Huraira) said: I went back to Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) and (this time) I was shedding the tears of joy. I said: Allaah’s Messenger, be happy, for Allaah has responded to your supplication and He has set on the right path the mother of Abu Huraira. He (the Prophet) praised Allaah, and extolled Him and uttered good words. I said: Allaah’s Messenger, supplicate to Allaah so that He may instil love of mine and that of my mother too in the believing servants and let our hearts be filled with their love, whereupon Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: O Allaah, let there be love of these servants of yours, i. e. Abu Huraira and his mother, in the hearts of the believing servants and let their hearts be filled with the love of the believing servants. (Abu Huraira said: This prayer) was so well granted by Allaah that no believer was ever born who heard of me and who saw me but did not love me. [Sahih Muslim 2491]

Using Forged Twitter Identities to Troll and Attack Students of Knowledge and The Salafi Maraakiz

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

لِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ وَارِث وَلِكُلِّ أَرْضٍ حَارِث وَلِكُلِّ ضَرٍّ هَالِك

“Every people have their inheritors, every earth has a cultivator and every evil has one destroyed by it.”

Indeed, using forged internet identities was a path adopted by some of those who defended Jamiat ahle Hadeeth, Suhaib Hasan, Al-Maribi and other deviants until they were exposed by Ustaadh Amjad Rafiq (may Allaah preserve him). Recently, we are witnessing the re-emergence of this path – but this time on twitter- amongst some of those who claim that they are enjoining good and forbidding evil, whilst trolling with hidden or forged twitter identities to attack Salafi students of knowledge and the Maraakiz. Therefore, we remind them of a statement of Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him) as follows:

By Allah no one hides his [real] name except a person of evil.  Astaghfirullah! Astaghfirullah! Why are you hiding your [real] name?! If you have the truth with you then announce your name, if you have falsehood with you then fear Allah! Don’t speak! There is no reason to hide your [real] name, no reason whatsoever, this is something unknown with the Salaf…” http://www.salafitalk.net/st/printthread.cfm?Forum=9&Topic=5498
