In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah (The Most High) said:

[أَمۡ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعۡمَلُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن يَسۡبِقُونَا‌ۚ سَآءَ مَا يَحۡكُمُونَ ]

Or think those who do evil deeds that they can outstrip Us (i.e. escape Our Punishment)? Evil is that which they judge! [29:4]

Meaning: Do those whose desire (or aspiration) to commit sins and crimes think that their actions will be overlooked and that Allaah is heedless of them, or that they will escape Allaah; and for that reason they commit such acts and is easy for them to do?

[سَآءَ مَا يَحۡكُمُونَ – Evil is that which they judge!]: Meaning: Evil is their judgement because it is an outrageous judgement, which necessitates a rejection of Allaah’s Absolute Power Over Everything and His Absolute Perfect Wisdom, and that they possess power by way which they can prevent Allaah’s Punishment, whilst they are the weakest and most feeble (of creatures).
