[28 B] Back To Basics-[The Statement of Pure Islamic Monotheism- Laa Ilaaha Ilal laah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allah bears witness that La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), and the angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness); (He is always) maintaining His creation in Justice. La ilah illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. [3:18]

This Ayah establishes the creed of pure Islamic Monotheism through the greatest proofs- and that is by way of Allaah’s [The Most High] testimony, the testimony of His Angels and the testimony of the people of knowledge. As for Allaah’s testimony, it is established by way of clear proofs and evidences that demonstrate His Oneness and that there is no deity worthy of worship except Him. Allaah [The Most High] shows [mankind and Jinn] many proofs in the universe and within themselves which clearly demonstrates this great affair. It is sufficient proof that the one who [truly] establishes Tawheed is always granted victory against an obstinate polytheist and the fact that all the creation are neither able to bring about benefit to themselves and others, nor cause harm [except by the Will of Allaah]. This establishes the proof of Tawheed and shows the falsity of Shirk. As for the testimony of the Angels, we benefit from it through what Allaah and His Messengers informed us.

As for the testimony of the people of knowledge, then that is because they are the ones who are referred back to in all the affairs of the religion, especially regarding Tawheed – the greatest, loftiest and noblest affair.  All the [upright people of knowledge]- the first to the last of them- are agreed on this affair of Tawheed- they call to it and show people the paths leading to it. Therefore, it is obligated on the people to adhere to Tawheed and act upon what it necessitates.

This also shows that the knowledge of Tawheed [pure Islamic Monotheism] is the noblest affair because Allaah Himself bore witness to it and the best of His creation bore witness to it as well. And testimony cannot be fulfilled except based on knowledge and certainty -like one who witnessed something with his own eyes. So whoever has not acquired the knowledge of Tawheed in such a manner, then he is not from the people of knowledge.
