Consolation: The Responsibility of the Believer in Times of Strength and Weakness

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Moosaa [alayhis-salaam] guided his people to the right methodology when they found themselves in that state of fear due to Fir’awn’s tyranny – a state in which they were neither able to do anything nor could they oppose [Fir’awn and his people]; but the only thing they could do was to seek aid and assistance from Allaah.

Allaah [The Most High] said in Surah Al-A’raaf Ayah 128 that Moosaa [alayhis-salaam] said to them: [ٱسۡتَعِينُواْ بِٱللَّهِ – seek help through Allaah] – Meaning: Rely on Allaah to seek after what will benefit you and to repel what will harm you. Place your trust in Allaah and He will fulfil your gaol [i.e. give you victory against Fir’awn]. [وَٱصۡبِرُوٓاْ‌ۖ – and be patient]- Meaning: adhere to patience and wait for relief.  [إِنَّ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ لِلَّهِ – Verily, the earth is Allah’s]- Meaning: It neither belongs to Fir’awn nor his people to do as they please. [يُورِثُهَا مَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦ‌ۖ – He gives it as a heritage to whom He will of His slaves]- Meaning: Allaah gives superiority to the people in turns based on His Perfect Will and Wisdom.

[وَٱلۡعَـٰقِبَةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِين- and the (blessed) end is for the pious]- Meaning: The final good end is for the people of piety even if they are put to trial for a long period of time. They will be victorious with a praiseworthy end. This is what is incumbent upon a believer; he utilises the means to repel harm when he has the ability; but when he is in a state of weakness, he exercises patience, seeks Allaah’s aid and Assistance and waits for relief. [Ref 1][End of quote]

NB: The Muslim follows strict guidelines -both in times of strength and weakness- therefore it is very important to acquaint oneself with the sound methodology that should be followed regardless the situation one finds himself [or herself]. The people of misguidance and bidah do not follow the sound Islamic methodology; for they rush to their innovations and satanic inspired opinions and thus bring about harm upon the Muslims and the religion. There is a sound methodology to follow when seeking to repel harm from the Muslims.
