A man said to Maymoon Ibn Mehraan [rahimahullaah]:

“The people will not cease to be upon good as long as Allaah keeps you [alive] for them.”

So he [Maymoon]  said: “The people will not cease to be upon good as long as they fear their Lord.” [Siyar 5/75]
