In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi [may Allaah preserve him] said:

And when we say Enjoin good and Forbid Evil, let it not only come to your mind that it is about the evil perpetrated by the ignorant people, (rather) reject the evils of Shirk, the evils of Bidah – the worst of all affairs are the newly invented matters [in the religion]. The Messenger [alayhis salaatu wassalaam] used to deliver the khut’bah and there was no Mubtadi in front of him, (but) in every khutbah or the majority of them, he used to say, ”To proceed, indeed the best of speech is the speech of Allaah and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, and the worst of all affairs are the newly invented matters [in the religion].” He used to repeat this a lot, whilst there were no innovators in front of him; why? Due to the danger of Bidah.
