By the grace and mercy of Allah, we have just completed our long weekend of study. Alhamdulilāh it has been a busy time for us all, and a much needed and beneficial one.

The Brothers and Sisters present within the community here, were joined by those from many of the other cities and places including Stoke, Bradford, London, Birmingham, Bolton and more.

We ask Allah to reward our Ustādh, Dr Abdulilah Lahmami – for taking this time to visit, teach, sit with and benefit us.

📜 Books and Lessons Taught

During his time with us we managed to go through and complete:

📚 Shaykh Fawzaan’s explanation of the Muqadimah of ibn Abī Zayd al Qayrawāni. (14 sittings)
📚 Shaykh Rabī’s explanation of the Hadīth of Jibrīl. (3 sittings at Fajr time)

In addition to the above he delivered the Friday khutbah on the “3 affairs that will aid a person to remain upon istiqāmah”.

ℹ Question and Answer Session with the Brothers.

In addition to the above; there was an impromptu and interactive tarbiyyah sessions with the brothers. Our Ustādh answered questions related to manhaj, gave advice on seeking knowledge, and took the time out to advise us with many important matters including:

1️⃣ Realising the importance and status of the scholars
2️⃣ How to behave in times of trials and tribulations
3️⃣ The importance of following evidences
4️⃣ Remaining united upon the truth, increase
5️⃣ Maintain brotherhood
6️⃣ Having humility and aiding one another upon good.

✍ Saturday School 🎈Final Day Reminder

Our Ustādh also attended the Saturday School certificates day; where the children’s hard work from the term is acknowledged and rewarded. He delivered an excellent and engaging reminder to the children about the importance of learning their deen. Likewise to the parents he offered beneficial advice regarding interacting with children; giving time to their cultivation; playing with them; and displaying good manners with both spouses and children.

📱 A Caution on Social Media ❗

Our Ustādh warned against getting caught up with social media personalities and refuted doubts that are spread regarding Salafiyyah and the Salafis. He shared guidance (some of which he has heard first hand) from Scholars such as Shaykh Rabī, Shaykh Ubayd, Shaykh Fawzān, Shaykh Muhammad al-Banna and others.

All of the above, took place from Thursday to Monday- concluding at Dhuhr time. We ask that Allah reward him, increase him in good and make his good deeds heavy on his scales.

Lastly then “whosoever does not thank the people, has not thanked Allah.” So with this in mind we would also like to extend our thanks to all those who helped to make this possible – amongst the brothers and sisters present. We ask that Allah the Most High, rewards them and blesses them to do even more, in future.

May Allah shower his blessings on us all, overlooks all of our shortcomings, pardons our sins and enter us into Jannah.
