In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi [hafidhahullaah] said:

Allaah [The Blessed and Exalted] waged a more severe war [i.e. rebuke, dispraise etc]  against those Jewish Rabbis, the Christian Monks and the evil scholars than He did against the Tyrannical Rulers. Why is that the case? Because the misguidance and corruption of the [Tyrannical Rulers] is well known and is clear to the people, but those [Rabbis, Monks and evil scholars] confound truth with falsehood, as Allaah [The Blessed and Exalted] addressed them [saying]:

لِمَ تَلۡبِسُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّ بِٱلۡبَـٰطِلِ وَتَكۡتُمُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَأَنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

Why do you mix truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know.’ [3:71)

This is the condition of ahlul bidah; they possess some truth, or they possess some misguidance and mix it with the truth until deceitful paths are spread. Allaah is more knowledgeable about His slaves, and see how many instances the Yahood and their scholars, as well as the Christians have been censured, rebuked, cautioned and disparaged. Why is that the case? Because they corrupted the Religion ordained by  Allaah. This is the situation of ahlul bidah and they have a share of this rebuke. The proof is the saying of the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam], “You will follow the ways of those who came before you [i.e. those Yahood and Nasaaraa who corrupted the religion of their Prophets] exactly in the same fashion to the extent that if they were to enter a lizard’s hole you will (also) enter it”.

Indeed the people of bidah have fallen into this evil. They have followed the Yahood in their false interpretations, distortions and lies, and in spreading and publicising falsehood [i.e. in religious affairs].  They have shared in all these affairs, so there is a strong resemblance between them [i.e. resemblance between those Yahood, Nasaaraa and ahlul bidah of this Ummah who bring corruption in the religion]. Indeed the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] informed [us] that they [i.e. the people of misguidance in this Ummah] will follow the ways of the [Yahood and Nasaaraa].
