Al-Khateeb Al-Baghdaadi [rahimahullaah] stated in the biography of Ubaydullaah Bin Abdillaah Ibnul Husayn Abul Qaasim Al-Haffaaf that he was well known as Ibnu An-Nuqeeb and he was firm upon the Sunnah. It reached Al-Khateeb that when the Shaikh of the Raafidah Ibnul Mu’allim died, he [i.e. Ibnu An-Nuqeeb] sat down, expressed his happiness and said, “I do not care when I will die after witnessing the death of Ibnul Mu’allim”. [Taareekh Baghdaad 10/382]
