Evolutionist Forgets His Reality

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

Allaah brought the servant out of his mother’s womb whilst he knew nothing, not able to do anything and owned nothing; neither able to give nor take; neither able to harm nor benefit. This state of neediness until he reached a more perfect state is something witnessed and tangible for everyone [to see], and i is well known that this is the very essence of the human being and he remains upon that state. He does not move from this state and enters into a state of Lordship – a state in which he becomes absolutely self-sufficient and not need of anyone and anything; rather he does not cease being a slave, a needy one to his Rabb [Allaah the Creator, All-Provider and the Only One Who Controls and Sustains Everything] and His Faatir [Allaah, The Originator and Creator of Everything].

However, after the human being was granted blessings, shown mercy, granted the means to reach a more perfect state, and Allaah -out of His Perfect Kindness and Generosity- granted him  apparent blessings [i.e. to recognise the Messengers who were sent with Islamic Monotheism, granted him the lawful pleasures of this world, including health, good looks, etc.] and the hidden blessings [i.e. granted him the  innate disposition to recognise his Lord when the Messenger calls him to Eemaan, and granted him knowledge, wisdom, guidance for doing righteous deeds, and also the pleasures and delights of the Hereafter in Paradise, etc.], granted  him hearing, sight and a heart, and taught him [i.e. gave him the means to knowledge], granted him ability, subjugated things to him, granted him [the desire and enthusiasm to pursue what is beneficial, and take action], enabled him to receive the service of those of his kind [i.e. gave him authority over other humans], subjugated to him horses and camels, gave him the ability to capture the animals in the sea, drop birds from the sky, subjugate wild animals, dig wells [irrigate water etc], plant trees, dig the earth, learn how to build, acquire the things that are of benefit to him, guard against and protect himself from that which is harmful to him; then the Miskeen [i.e. this absolutely poor, dependent human being] thinks that he has a share of authority and claims – for himself – a kingship [or authority] similar to that of Allaah [Glorified be Allaah and free is Allaah from all imperfections, partners, coequals, similarities etc], and begins to see himself in a manner other than what he was at first, forgets his [prior] state of non-existence, poverty and neediness, until he becomes as if he was not that poor and needy thing. [Ref 1]

Evolutionist is Abandoned to Himself

Supplication of The Morning [Before Sunrise] and Evening [Before Sunset]

O Ever Living! O The Self Subsisting, Upon Whom Everything Depends! By Your mercy I seek assistance; rectify for me all of my affairs and do not leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye. [Imaam Albaani declared it Hasan in Silsilah As-Saheehah Number 227]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim said: This is where those forsaken have been forsaken and those granted success [well-being, guidance etc] have been granted well-being [guidance etc]. The forsaken one is veiled from his reality- he forgets himself; he forgets his poverty [in the presence of Allaah]; his need of [Allaah] and his [state of absolute dependence on his Lord for all his means of subsistence], therefore he transgresses all bounds [in crimes, sins, disbelief etc], becomes insolent and thus deserves a wretched end. [Allaah (The Most High)] said:

كَلَّا إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَيَطْغَىٰ

أَن رَّآهُ اسْتَغْنَىٰ

Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.).  Because he considers himself self-sufficient. [Surah Al-Alaq. Aayaat 6-7]

And [Allaah said]:

As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him; And believes in Al-Husna;  We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient; And gives the lie to Al-Husna; We will make smooth for him the path for evil. [Surah Al-Layl. Aayaat 5-10]

The most perfect person is that one who is more perfect in his servitude to Allaah, the greatest in his acknowledgement of his poverty, dependence and neediness in the presence of Allaah. He never [considers himself] self-sufficient in the presence of his Lord in the twinkling of an eye. And that is why among the supplications of the Prophet is that he is used to say:

[أَصْلِحْ ِلي شَأِني كُلَّهُ ، وَلاَ تَِكلْنِي إِلَى َنفْسِي َطرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ وَلاَ إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ  – rectify for me all of my affairs and neither leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye, nor to anyone among your creation]. And he used to supplicate saying:  [يَا مُقَلِّبَ ٱلْقُلُوبَ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ – O Turner of the hearts! Keep my heart firm upon Your Religion]. [2]

Evolutionist Says That He is Not enslaved!

Shaikh Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [rahimahullaah] was asked about the statement of a person who says, “I am free [or liberated?]”.

Answer: If a liberated [or free person] says this and intends by it freedom from slavery to the creation, then yes he is free from slavery to the creation. However, if he intends by this that he is liberated (freed) from servitude to Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic], then indeed he has erred in his understanding of servitude and he does not understand the meaning of freedom. That is because servitude to other than Allaah is bondage. As for servitude to Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic], then this is real freedom because if he does not humble himself to Allaah, he will humble himself to other than Allaah. So he deceives himself when he says that he is free [or liberated]- meaning: he is liberated from obedience to Allaah. [3]

Evolutionist Is Worried About Saving Nature But Not Worried About The Consequences of Shirk Akbar

Allaah [The Most High] said:

حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّهِ غَيۡرَ مُشۡرِكِينَ بِهِۦ‌ۚ وَمَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخۡطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيۡرُ أَوۡ تَهۡوِى بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى مَكَانٍ۬ سَحِيقٍ۬ – Hunafaa’ Lillaah [i.e. worship none but Allaah], not associating partners [in worship, etc.] with Him; and whoever associates partners to Allaah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far-off place]. [Surah Al-Hajj. Aayah 31]

[حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّهِ  ]- Meaning: turn to Allaah [in complete submission], worship Allaah alone and turn away from other than that. [غَيۡرَ مُشۡرِكِينَ بِهِۦ‌ۚ  – not associating partners (in worship, etc.) with Him]; [وَمَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ – and whoever associates partners to Allaah], then [فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخۡطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيۡرُ أَوۡ تَهۡوِى بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى مَكَانٍ۬ سَحِيقٍ۬    – it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place].

This is the situation of the polytheist, because Eemaan is like the sky- protected and raised high, so whoever abandons Eemaan is like one who has fallen from the sky and is exposed to evil consequences and disasters- snatched by birds that will rip his limbs. Likewise, when the polytheist abandons the protection of Eemaan, the devils snatch him from every direction and rip him apart, ruining both his religion and worldly life [i.e. because this worldly life is a place to perform righteous deeds for entry into paradise]. [4]

Allaah made it known in this Aayah that indeed the one who associates partners to Allaah and dies without repenting, then indeed he has fallen into destruction – neither has a way out of it nor can he be saved. He resembles someone who falls from the sky and lands on the earth and thus all his body is rip apart, then the birds snatch them away and the wind throws them to a far-off place due to the intense [manner in which the] wind blew his ripped body parts. So, whoever is described as one in such a situation, then indeed neither can he hope for a way out nor can he desire safety; rather he is definitely destroyed, because what normally happens is that the one who falls from the sky and lands on the earth does not reach the earth except that his body parts are ripped apart. The birds snatch his body parts and disperse with them, or the wind throws him to a far-away place, then this is an inevitable destruction and there is no way of avoiding it.

And that which is established in this noble Aayah – regarding the fact that the one who ascribes partners to Allaah is destroyed – has also been mentioned clearly in another place in the Qur’aan, such as the statement of Allaah: [إِنَّهُ ۥ مَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَمَأۡوَٮٰهُ ٱلنَّارُ‌ۖ – Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode]. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. Aayah 72]

Allaah [The Exalted] said: [إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغۡفِرُ أَن يُشۡرَكَ بِهِ – Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship]. [Surah An-Nisaa Aayah 48]

And indeed there are other Aayaat [showing] that this inescapable destruction is related to the one who dies upon shirk and did not repent. As for the one who repents before death, then indeed Allaah forgives Him because Islaam [i.e. submission to Allaah with Tawheed] wipes away that which was before it [i.e. shirk]. There are a number of Aayaat that indicate to this, such as the statement of Allaah: [قُل لِّلَّذِينَ ڪَفَرُوٓاْ إِن يَنتَهُواْ يُغۡفَرۡ لَهُم مَّا قَدۡ سَلَفَ – Say to those who have disbelieved, if they cease (from disbelief) their past will be forgiven]. [Surah Al-Anfaal. Aayah 38]

And those who invoke not any other ilah (god) along with Allah, nor kill such life as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds..[Surah Al-Furqaan. Aayaat 68-70]

Allaah said: [وَإِنِّى لَغَفَّارٌ۬ لِّمَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحً۬ا – And verily, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds]. [Surah Taahaa. Aayah 82] However, if one’s repentance is at the time of death [i.e. when the soul reaches the throat], it will not benefit him. [Ref 5]

The Evil Consequences of Our Evil Deeds On Earth

Allaah [The Most High] said:

ظَهَرَ ٱلۡفَسَادُ فِى ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ أَيۡدِى ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُواْ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُونَ

Evil (sins and disobedience of Allah, etc.) has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of men have earned.’’ (Soorah Ruum; Ayah:41]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim[rahimahullaah] said:

This ayah was revealed regarding the state of affairs of the world- the relationship between it and the events that occur. You see how the occurrence of those evil actions and defects (of the people) affects the harvest, vegetation and the animals in every era, and the manner in which those evil (affairs) necessitates other evils. And whenever the people initiate oppression and wickedness, their Lord (The Blessed and Most High) brings about- from those evils and defects (of theirs)- deficiencies and harm in their nourishments, fruits, atmospheres, bodies, outward appearances and manners, as a justification for their deeds, acts of oppression and wickedness.

The majority of the illnesses and the general evil affairs are remnants of the punishment afflicted upon the people of the previous nations; then there remained from that what remains, as a surprise punishment against those who remain upon the (evil) deeds of those previous nations. This is a just judgement and just decree.  And indeed the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) has indicated to this in his statement concerning plagues, that it is a remnant of an affliction or punishment that was sent by Allaah to the Children of Israa’eel. [Ref 6]

The Evil Consequences That Will Accompany Worldly Knowledge When Devoid of Sound Religion

Imaam As-Sadi [rahimahullaah] said:

Industrialization And Modern Inventions: Everyone has participated in it – the righteous, the wicked, the believer and the disbeliever. As for religion and [virtuous] manners, then indeed -in this era-, it has greatly declined. So, when this industrial advancement is devoid of Deen and Eemaan, it became a great harm from two angles:

Firstly: It beguiled many people, who – due of their ignorance – think that worldly advancement is proof to show that its people are more worthy of achieving every good than others. They are clearly misguided, for indeed a person might be from the most skillful in affairs related to the material world, whilst he is one of the most ignorant people in affairs related to the deen, virtuous manners and the [other] beneficial affairs in this life and the next.

Secondly: When these inventions are devoid of Deen, its mercy and wisdom, it becomes a great disaster for humankind due to the wars that resulted from them, killing, destruction and other affairs related to it. Its regulators [or overseers] and scholars are unable to laydown – for humankind -a stable, just and good life, rather they have not ceased moving from one miserable state to another. This is inevitable and the continuous state of affairs shows that [to be the case]. Therefore all good is found in the sound religion and all evil is found in rejecting and wilfully denying [Allaah, His Messengers, His Laws, Guidance, Commands, Prohibitions etc] [Ref 7]

Part 10: Brief Rebuttal Against Ed Husain: – [Promoting The Type of Free Thinking That Led Ibn Sina to Kufr Akbar]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Why Is Ed Husain Rebutted

Ed Husain – the deviated ex-member of the khaarijites of Hizb at-tahreer – said:

“Arabs and Islam now dominated large parts of the previous Byzantine and Persian territories and with that unity of faith came a new renaissance of inventions, science, confidence and books that shaped the world”. [End of quote]

Response to the above statement:

Certainly, Islaam is a complete way of life and it embraces every good in this Dunya. The scholars of Saudi in particular – those whose country Ed Husain wishes to plunge into the misguidance of Ibn Rushd, Ibn Sina and Al-Faraabee – follow sound principles and guidance by way of which the Ummah benefits from the worldly sciences and safeguard the sound Aqeedah – the sound creed that is free from Ed Husain’s bidah and call to Ilmul Kalaam.

Al-Allaamah Abdullaah Bin Humaid [rahimahullaah] said:

“And we do not say that it is prohibited to study the beneficial worldly sciences because the religion of Islaam does not prohibit it, such as the knowledge of medicine, economics, business and its likes. However, these affairs come after rectification of the creed and after being [acquainted with] the knowledge of Tawheed.  This is what is specified as an obligation”. [Ref 1]

Imaam As-Sadi [rahimahullaah] said:

Indeed, it is impossible to rectify the souls and acquire virtue solely through the worldly sciences. Experience and clearly witnessed circumstances are the greatest proofs regarding this affair, because despite its advancement and vastness it has been unable to nurture and rectify the souls. What the Religion of Islaam propagates is that which is entrusted with this rectification – it is what will guide the thoughts towards the truthful and authentic sources of knowledge, and guide the actions of the people towards good and prevent them from evil. Islam is The Rectifier of the Creeds and Manners- the thing that cultivates the thoughts [upon righteousness], urges towards virtuousness and prevents from depravity. The essence of that which the religion calls to regarding belief in the Unseen, which includes belief in Allaah and that which He possesses of Names, Attributes and Actions of perfection; belief in Angels, belief in recompense for one’s good and bad deeds in this life and the next, which cannot be known except through the Messengers, is what acquaints a person with the fact that rectification – in reality – is not possible through other than sound belief and the religion of Islaam. Therefore, even if the worldly sciences rectify [some] affairs based upon that which people know in detail, it will still not be equal [in perfection, excellence etc] to the knowledge of the Messengers [in the least]. It will neither reach that which is reached through the knowledge of the Messengers nor can it influence the souls in the manner in which the knowledge of the Messengers has done; for indeed the souls do not voluntarily submit except through belief in Allaah, belief in His Angels, belief in His Books, belief in His Messengers and belief in the hereafter. And without this, voluntary submission is impossible, as is well known regarding human nature. [Ref 2]

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi [may Allaah preserve him said:

If medicine, engineering and chemistry are not placed below the knowledge which the Prophets brought, they become nothing; [rather] they will only increase the people in corruption. The knowledge brought by the Prophets is rectification for the people, a guide for them towards the right path and removes them from the darkness they are living in – the darkness of kufr and ignorance. As for the knowledge of the philosophers and the heretics, then what Allaah has stated truly applies to it: [فَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَرِحُواْ بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَہۡزِءُونَ -Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad [and proud] with that which they had of the knowledge [of worldly things]: And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them [i.e. the punishment]. [Surah Ghaafir’ Aayah 83]

It is the knowledge which the people boast about nowadays, whether it is medicine, engineering, astronomy, [modern] politics and economics. After the Prophets came to them – to remove them from the darkness of ignorance and enter them into the light of the knowledge and Eemaan- they became glad and boastful with the knowledge they possess, [just as Allaah has stated]: [فَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَرِحُواْ بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَہۡزِءُونَ -Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad [and proud] with that which they had of the knowledge [of worldly things]: And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them [i.e. the punishment]. [Surah Ghaafir’ Aayah 83]

[Likewise, Allaah informed us that] Qaaroon said: [إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُ ۥ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عِندِىٓ‌ۚ – This [i.e. vast wealth] has been given to me only because of knowledge I possess. [Surah Al-Qasas’ Aayah 78]. They rebuked him [i.e. Qaaroon] because he did not want to spend from his wealth based on what Allaah has commanded, so Allaah said that he said: [إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُ ۥ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عِندِىٓ‌ۚ  – This (.e. vast wealth) has been given to me only because of knowledge I possess]. [Surah Al-Qasas’ Aayah 78]

Likewise, Allaah said: [وَإِذَآ أَنۡعَمۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنِ أَعۡرَضَ وَنَـَٔا بِجَانِبِهِ – And when We bestow Our Grace on man (the disbeliever), he turns away and becomes arrogant, far away from the Right Path]. [Surah Al-Israa’ Aayah 83]

[Allaah said]: [ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلۡنَـٰهُ نِعۡمَةً۬ مِّنَّا قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُ ۥ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمِۭ‌ۚ بَلۡ هِىَ فِتۡنَةٌ۬ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ  – Then when We have (rescued him from that harm and) changed it into a favour from Us, he says: “Only because of knowledge (that I possess) I obtained it.” Nay, it is only a trial, but most of them know not]! [Surah Az-Zumar’ Aayah 49]

Allaah said that he [i.e. the ungrateful human being says after being rescued from hardship]: [قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُ ۥ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمِۭ‌ۚ  – he says: “Only because of knowledge (that I possess) I obtained it]; but Allaah said: [ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ – Nay, it is only a trial, but most of them know not!]

These sciences become a trial and tribulation if they are not placed below [and regulated by] the knowledge which Muhammad [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] brought. [Ref 3]

Shaikh Saaleh Aala Ash-Shaikh [hafidhahullaah] said:

The Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said: Verily, the creation of each of you is brought together in his mother’s womb for forty days as a drop [of water, semen], then he is a clot for a similar period, then a morsel for a similar period…[An-Nawawi’s Forty Hadeeth. Hadeeth 4]

It is well known that during that era, the Sahaabah did not know these stages [of development of the human being in the womb] through experimental knowledge, vision [i.e. by way of the naked eye] or other than that; rather it was simply [a statement of the Prophet] which they [believed and affirmed]. They were scholars by way of the revelation sent down to the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] and not by way of experimentation [examination]. [Sharh Al-Arba’een. Hadeeth 4]

Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [rahimahullaah] said:

We do not say: “We do not give consideration to anything stated by the people in the subject matter regarding medicine, astronomy and the celestial bodies”; however, we do not accept everything they say. If what they say opposes the Book and the [authentic] Sunnah, then indeed we do not accept their statements; [rather] we take [i.e. believe and affirm without any doubt] that which is conveyed in the Book and the [authentic] Sunnah, and we say, ‘An era will come in which the people will bear witness to the falsity of those statements of theirs – at present – that are in opposition to the Book and [authentic] Sunnah and [bear witness] to the soundness of that which has been conveyed in the Book and the [authentic] Sunnah. [Ref 4]

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [rahimahullaah] said:

Indeed, that which is stated by the astronomers about the celestial bodies, their sizes and the distance between them, and that which is said about the earth [i.e. by the geologists etc] is categorized into three affairs: [a] That which is backed by the sound knowledge-based proofs [i.e. the Sharee’ah], therefore it is accepted. [b] That which the knowledge-based proofs [i.e. the sharee’ah] declares to be false, therefore it is rejected. [c] That which there is no proof to either accept or reject it, therefore it is unproven until a person from the people of knowledge [i.e. upright scholars of Ahlus Sunnah] examines it [i.e. examines what it indicates based on the Book and Sunnah] to show whether it should be accepted or rejected. As for accepting it without [sound] investigation and observation, but merely accepting it by blindly following them [i.e. the astronomers, geologists etc], then this is impermissible because of the numerous mistakes that occur as a result of that, and speaking -without knowledge – about Allaah and that which He has created [i.e. the entire universe and all that is within it]. [Ref 5]

We can see clearly from the above clarifications that the upright Scholars of Saudi Arabia – those upon the sound creed and methodology of the pious predecessors – are people of clear-sightedness. They adhere to piety, fear of Allaah and sound principles unlike the open sinner Ed Husain – the one whose shaytaan has killed his heart with the love of the heretics amongst the philosophers. As for the upright scholars of Saudi, they follow sound principles from the infallible revelation by way of which the Ummah benefits from the beneficial worldly sciences and safeguard the sound creed of the Sahaabah.

Then Ed Husain said:

“But the spirit of philosophy was not to last: The Persian mystic, Imam Ghazzali, declared Aristotelian philosophers of Islam to be disbelievers”.

Response to The Above

Firstly, Ed Husain seeks to distort reality, because the fact is that ilmul kalaam is a bidah in the religion of Muhammad [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] and noble Sahaabah never  engaged in Ilmul kalaam, as Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] said:

“May Allaah curse Amr Ibn Ubaid, for indeed he innovated this innovation from Al-Kalaam. If Kalaam was knowledge, the companions of the Messenger and the Taabi’een would have spoken about it just as they spoke about rulings and laws of the religion, however it is falsehood and leads to falsehood”. [Ref 6]

Secondly, Ed Husain’s infatuation with philosophy leads him to beautify the affair of those whose Kufr Akbar was well established. There is no doubt that some of those people he refers to as ‘Aristotelian philosophers of Islam’ did definitely fall into Kufr Akbar! See article titled:

Why Ibn Sina, You Exceedingly Shrewd Kafir! Thank You For Supporting Our Aristotelian Metaphysical Creed and Backing Us (Ash’aris) In Our Saying That ‘Allaah Is Not Within the Creation Nor Outside Of It’

http://www.asharis.com/creed/articles/mrsit-why-ibn-sina-you-exceedingly-shrewd-kafir-thank-you-for-supporting-our-aristotel.cfm

Then Ed Husain said:

“That rejection of the free mind, critical intellect and philosophy was quickly institutionalised. But not so easily”.

Response to the above

Indeed, the Sahaabah – the best of the creation after the Prophets and Messengers, the Taa’bi’een and the students of the Taabi’een did not enter into ilmul kalaam, so does that make them less critical in their thinking and were they people without free minds?! Indeed, we’ll repeat the statement of Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] as follows, “May Allaah curse Amr Ibn Ubaid, for indeed he innovated this innovation from Al-Kalaam. If Kalaam was knowledge, the companions of the Messenger and the Taabi’een would have spoken about it just as they spoke about rulings and laws of the religion, however it is falsehood and leads to falsehood.”

And indeed, the Lord of the Heavens and the earths stated about the Sahaabah in the final revelation:

And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhajirun) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success. [Surah At-Tawbah. Aayah 100]

The Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said:

“The best of the people are those living in my generation, then those who will follow the latter and then those who come after them. Then there will come after them people who will be treacherous and will not be trustworthy, they will bear witness without being asked to do so, and they will vow, but will never fulfil their vows, and fatness will appear among them’’. [Al-Bukhaari]

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi [rahimahullaah] said: ‘’They give false testimony, act treacherously and deceitfully. They behave in a very sinful manner and follow evil desires, except those whom Allaah safeguards amongst the Taa’ifatul Mansoorah [i.e. the aided group of Muslims upon the straight path] – those whom Allaah’s Messenger [alayhis salaatu wassalaam] praised. Therefore, it is obligated on us to acquire knowledge for the sake of Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] and act upon it. Ignorance is a deadly disease and knowledge is a weapon that will destroy you if you do not act upon it, and Allaah’s refuge is sought. [Ref 7]

There is no doubt that Ed Husain is one of those guilty of blatant false witness and deception in this subject matter. All praise and thanks be to Allaah who sent the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] with clear guidance by way of which the proponents of religious innovations are known and exposed. Al-Allaamah Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbaad [hafidhahullaah] said: The noble Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] also said:

Verily he lives long among you will see a lot of differing, so you must keep to my Sunnah and to the Sunnah of the Khulafaa ar-Rashideen (the rightly guided caliphs). Adhere to it with your molar teeth (i.e. adhere to it firmly). And beware of newly invented matters [in the religion], for every newly invented matter [in the religion] is a bidah (innovation in the religion), and every bidah is misguidance.” [Abu Dawood. Number 4607] [Tirmidhee. Number 2676]

(Also) the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) has clarified in the hadeeth about the seventy three sects amongst whom seventy-two sects will enter the hell fire and one sect will be saved.  He clarified that this saved sect are those who adhere to the path him and his noble companions adhered to.

Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] said:

“The latter part of this Ummah (i.e. those who will come after the Salaf) will not be rectified except by way of that which rectified it’s earlier part (i.e. the Salaf).’’ And he [rahimahullaah) said: ‘’Whoever innovates a bidah in Islaam and considers it to be something good, then indeed he has claimed that Muhammad betrayed the Risaalah (i.e. the message he was entrusted with); because Allaah said: ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ -This day, I have perfected your religion for you.” Therefore, what was not part of the religion at that time (i.e. during the time of the Messenger) cannot be part of the religion today (i.e. after his departure from this world).” [Ref 8]

Indeed, this is what  the people of sound guidance follow- the path of the Sahaabah. As for Ed Husain and his devil, they advocate a type of free mind and critical intellect that led Ibn Sina to Kufr Akbar! Likewise, Ed Husain and his shaytaan seek to hide the fact that philosophy became institutionalised when the deviants confused and convinced some of the Muslim rulers to support their heretical Madhab, such as that which took place during the time of Imaam Ahmad [rahimahullaah].  [Read here part 7: https://www.abukhadeejah.com/benefits-in-the-manhaj-by-studying-the-life-and-legacy-of-the-imam-of-ahlus-sunnah-ahmad-ibn-hanbal-161ah-241ah/ ]

Allaah [The Most High] said:

O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Verily! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet. [Surah Al-Hujuraat. Aayaat 1-2]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said:

When it is the case that Allaah forbade [us] from giving precedence to [ourselves] over the Messenger, then which type of giving precedence to oneself over the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] can be more severe than giving precedence to one’s intellect over the revelation he was sent with? Many of the Salaf stated [that this ayah means]: ‘’Do not say anything [about the religion] until the Messenger speaks and do not act until he commands you.’’

The most disobedient person amongst the people and the worst with regards to giving precedence to himself [or herself] over the Messenger is that one who gives precedence to his [or her] intellect or the intellect of another person over the revelation the Messenger was sent with. And when it is the case that Allaah has indeed forbidden them from raising their voices above the voice of the Messenger, then how about raising their intellects above the statements of the Messenger and the revelation he came with? [Ref 9]

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [rahimahullaah]) said:

In this great Soorah there are lofty benefits and rulings. The Muslims are greatly in need of understanding (it), being conscious of it and take benefit from it. In the first part, there is a warning against putting oneself forward before Allaah and His Messenger. And that which is obligated on the People of Eemaan is that they are to be followers and not innovators, and that they do not put themselves forward before Allaah and His Messenger.

The people of knowledge say (that this ayah means): “Do not speak until you are commanded by Allaah and His Messenger, and do not act until the Messenger acts and legislates; do not put (yourselves) forward before him with either speech or action, (but) be you followers of that which has been prescribed for you and that which has been made clear for you in the (Islamic) legislation. This is the way the people of Eemaan are to be -they do not innovate acts of worship and rulings in Allaah’s Sharee’ah.

And fear Allah. Verily! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing]

Allaah hears their statements and nothing is hidden from Him with regards to your state of affairs. He hears the statements of the slaves and He knows their state of affairs. He knows the truth you utter and other than it. He knows what you do, the truth you utter and other than it. The meaning of (this is that): Be mindful of Him and be warned about (disobeying Him) because nothing is hidden from Him. He hears and He knows your state of affairs. Therefore, it is obligated on you to be followers, and not innovators in Allaah’s Sharee’ah. [Ref 10]

Question to Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz:

Shaikh, are the ones who depend on their intellects in understanding many of the affairs of the religion considered to be from those who are mistaken?

Answer:

Yes; it is obligated on him not to depend on his intellect, rather he studies the texts and relies on the divine texts from the speech of  Allaah and that of Allaah’s  Messenger [salllal laahu alayhiwa wasallam], because there is guidance in it and direction towards good. As for the intellect, it can be right or wrong. The sects that oppose Ahlus sunnah were destroyed due to their intellects. They thought that they had good intellects and that their intellects arrived at what is correct and thus they opposed the texts by way of their stagnant intellects which they thought were sound. What was that which made the Jahmiyyah negate the Perfect Names and Attributes of Allaah, except due to their corrupt intellects?!

What was it that led the Mutazilah to negate the attributes of Allaah and declared that the sinners [i.e. those who die whilst committing the major sins that are lesser that major kufr and major shirk] will remain in the fire forever, except due to their corrupt intellects?! Likewise, is the case of their followers who utter this same speech.

What led the Khawaarij to excommunicate the people due to committing sins – that the sinner is a disbeliever and that he will remain in the fire forever, except due to their corrupt intellects. Likewise. this is the case regarding other than them amongst the proponents of Bidah. The intellects which they depend upon is that which destroy them, because they think that their intellects are safe, sound, good and infallible, whereas that is not the case; rather it is not infallible – commits mistakes a lot; however they hold a good suspicion regarding their intellects and an evil suspicion regarding the texts and thus they are destroyed.

It is obligatory to harbour a good suspicion regarding the texts and an evil suspicion regarding the intellect, and to submit the intellects to the texts. The texts are infallible if their chain of transmission are established to be authentic. As for the intellects, they are fallible. A person susceptible to mistakes, shortcoming and desires. As for the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam], what he conveyed from Allaah is infallible. and likewise the Qur’aan is infallible- the speech of Allaah. Therefore, it is obligatory that the Qur’aan and Sunnah passes a judgement on your intellect and that you give precedence to the Qur’aan and Sunnah over your intellect- over the intellect of the Shaikh, the Mashaayikh, your forefathers, ancestors and all the people. The texts are given precedence over all the intellects. [Ref 11]

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] said:

Allaah [The Most High] said:

[ كَانَ ٱلنَّاسُ أُمَّةً۬ وَٲحِدَةً۬ فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ وَأَنزَلَ مَعَهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِ فِيمَا ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ‌ۚ -Mankind were one community (i.e. upon Tawheed and Allaah’s Sharee’ah) and Allah sent Prophets with glad tidings and warnings, and with them He sent the Scripture in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed]. [Surah Al-Baqarah’ Aayah 213]

Therefore, Allaah [The Most High] designated the revealed Books [i.e. the Qur’aan being the final of them] as the judge between the people in matters wherein they differ”. [Ref 12]

Shaikh Abdur Razzaaq Al-Badr [may Allaah preserve him] said,

“If you say that the intellect is to be given precedence over the revelation, then which intellect should we follow? Are the intellects of the people combined in the intellect of one man or do they differ? There are intellects of the philosophers, the atheists, the heretics, the people of evil desires and those who confound truth with falsehood; and due to this one of the pious predecessors said, ‘Had the desires been one, it would have been considered to be the [basis of] truth’; therefore, we say, ‘Had the intellects been one, it would have been considered to be the [basis of] truth’”. [Ref 13]

Finally, we say to Ed Husain, indeed Iblees has killed your heart with the love of the heretics amongst the philosophers and may Allaah guide you through the path of the upright scholars of Saudi – those upon the creed of the Imaam of Ahlus Sunnah- Ahmad Bin Hanbal, such as the likes of Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan, Al-Allaamah Abdul Azeez Aala Ash-Shaikh, Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee, Al-Allaamah Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbaad, Al-Allaamah Ubaid Bin Abdillaah Al-Jaabiri, Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Luhaydaan and those upon their path.

Imaam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal [rahimahullaah] said:

“All praise is due to Allaah, who in every age and interval between the Prophets, raises up a group from the people of knowledge, who call the misguided to guidance, patiently bear ill-treatment and harm. With the Book of Allaah they give life to the dead and with the Light of Allaah they give sight to the blind. How many a person killed by Iblees (the Devil) they have revived, how beautiful their effect has been upon the people, and how vile the people have been towards them! They remove from Allaah’s Book the alterations of those going beyond bounds, the false claims of the liars and the false interpretations of the ignoramus- those who uphold the banner of innovation and let loose the trials and discords, who oppose the Book and agree upon opposing the Book. They speak about Allaah and his Book without knowledge, argue about what is ambiguous in the Book and deceive the ignorant ones with such ambiguities. We seek refuge in Allaah from the trials of the misguided ones.” [[Ref 9: Ar-Radd Alal Jahmiyyah Waz-Zanaadiqah. p. 2]

Part 9: Brief Rebuttal Against Ed Husain [Which Islaam Was Introduced to Persians Prior to The Path of The Raafidah?!]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Why Is Ed Husain Rebutted

Ed Husain stated:

“Fourth, the Arabian believers did not wait to be attacked by the Persians as the Greeks and Romans before them, but took war and conquest successfully to Iran. That Islam rescued Iran from paganism and permanent warfare against the rest of the world is thanks to the Arabian Muslims that subdued a nation of long wars against Greece and Rome”.

Response to the above:

Indeed, it was also that Islaam that rescued our forefathers from paganism, tribalism and nationalism, just as it rescued Iran, but at present many of them are Rawaafid.

See here: https://www.abukhadeejah.com/the-devils-deception-of-the-raafidah-shiah/

http://www.shia.bs/authors/Abu.Iyaad.cfm

As for Islaam, its foundation is the Qur’aan, the authentic Sunnah and the understanding of the Salafus Saaleh [the first three pious generations of Islaam]. The Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, “The best of the people are those living in my generation, then those who will follow the latter and then those who come after them. Then there will come after them people who will be treacherous and will not be trustworthy, they will bear witness without being asked to do so, and they will vow, but will never fulfil their vows, and fatness will appear among them”. [Al-Bukhaari]

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi [rahimahullaah] said:

‘’They give false testimony, act treacherously and deceitfully. Ignorance is a deadly disease and knowledge is a weapon that will destroy you if you do not act upon it, and Allaah’s refuge is sought”. [Marhaban Yaa Taalibal Ilm pages 268-270]

Imaam An-Nawawi [rahimahullaah] stated regarding the statement,

‘’They will bear witness without being asked to do so’’- This can mean that they bear witness before being asked, or they bear witness based on falsehood, or they give witness without being from those who are worthy of it. [For further details see Sharh Saheeh Muslim 12/17]

And regarding the statement, ‘’And fatness will appear among them.’’ – Meaning: These people give importance to the means of fattening themselves – food, drink and over-abundance. So, their only concern is their bodies and fattening themselves. As for being fat without choice, then one cannot be blamed for that, just as a person cannot be blamed for being tall, short, black or white…[Majmoo Al-Fataawaa 10/1056 -By Shaikh Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah)].

Indeed, amazing is the affair when one realises that this is exactly the crime being committed by deviant Ed Husain – beautifying the falsehood of ilmul kalaam, arguing for it and bearing witness for it, as well as the fact that he is not one worthy of speaking in affairs of the religion. The Salaf did not enter into Ilmul Kalaam, just as Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] said, “May Allaah curse Amr Ibn Ubaid, for indeed he innovated this innovation from Al-Kalaam. If Kalaam was knowledge, the companions of the Messenger and the Taabi’een would have spoken about it just as they spoke about rulings and laws of the religion, however it is falsehood and leads to falsehood”. [Dhammul Kalaam by Al-Harwee 5/73]

Al-Allaamah Abdul Muhsin al-Abbaad [hafidhahullaah] said:

The noble Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] also said:

“The latter part of this Ummah (i.e. those who will come after the Salaf) will not be rectified except by way of that which rectified it’s earlier part (i.e. the Salaf).’’ And he [rahimahullaah) said: ‘’Whoever innovates a bidah in Islaam and considers it to be something good, then indeed he has claimed that Muhammad betrayed the Risaalah (i.e. the message he was entrusted with); because Allaah said: ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ -This day, I have perfected your religion for you.” Therefore, what was not part of the religion at that time (i.e. during the time of the Messenger) cannot be part of the religion today (i.e. after his departure from this world).” [An Excerpt from : أثر العبادات في حياة المسلمpages 4-5. slightly paraphrased]

Therefore, we remind Ed Husain and his devil that any idea or view brought into Islaam- whether by philosophers or other than them, then indeed it is rejected if it opposes the Qur’aan, the authentic Sunnah and the understanding of the Sahaabah. Ilmul Kalaam is a bidah and Ed Husain is one of the devils amongst mankind advocating it.

Imaam Ash-Shaafi’ee [rahimahullaah] said, “Ilmul Kalaam is ignorance”. Imaam Abu Yusuf [rahimahullaah] said, “Ilmul kalaam is ignorance and to be ignorant of Ilmul Kalaam is knowledge”. [Ref 1]

Yoonus Ibn Abdil A’laa (rahimahullaah) said, “I heard Ash-Shaafi’ee (rahimahullaah) saying, ‘It is better for a man to be put to trial with everything that Allaah has forbidden except Shirk than looking into (or engaging himself in) ilmul kalaam; for indeed I have come across affairs from the proponents of ilmul kalaam that which I never thought I would come across’”. [Ref 2]

Imaam Ahmad (rahimahullaah) said,

“I am neither a person of Ilmul Kalaam nor do I recognize Ilmul Kalaam in anything. (I only recognize) that which is found in the Book of Allaah or in the Sunnah of His Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)”. [Ref 3]

Imaam Ahmad (rahimahullaah) also said,

“Do not sit with the proponents of ilmul kalaam even if they defend the Sunnah”. [Ref 4]

A man asked Qaasim Bin As-Sallaam [rahimahullaah] about Ilmul Kalaam, so he said to him, “Indeed, your Lord has guided to the path of uprightness and to the path of truth. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

فَإِن تَنَـٰزَعۡتُمۡ فِى شَىۡءٍ۬ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأَخِرِ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ خَيۡرٌ۬ وَأَحۡسَنُ تَأۡوِيلاً

(And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination. [Surah An-Nisaa. Aayah 59]

Do you not have what suffices in what your Lord guided you to regarding His speech and the Sunnah of His Prophet, so that you do not return to your opinion and thus become destroyed! Indeed, your Lord has forbidden you from speaking about His Essence and Attributes, except that which He has made know to you. [Ref 5]

Ibn Aqeel [rahimahullaah] said, “There is none more harmful on the sharee’ah than the innovators of the people of kalaam [i.e. the people of philosophical rhetoric] and the ignorant soofees”. [Ref 6]

Question to Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee [hafidhahullaah]:

May Allaah reward you with good; this is also a question from the brothers who are present, saying: Assalaamu Alaykum Warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuhu. Virtuous Shaikh, is it permissible for me to learn [or study] the knowledge of philosophical logic? Benefit me [i.e. with a response] and may Allaah [The Exalted] reward you with good.

Answer: The knowledge of philosophical logic is a corrupt knowledge and the Salaf- by way of consensus- declared that it is Haraam [forbidden] to study it due to the misguidance and disgustingly evil consequences within it. Shaikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] said, “Neither does a dull-witted person benefit from it nor is an intelligent person in need of it”. An intelligent person is not in need of it because he is sensible in himself, in his natural disposition and intellect; and a dull-witted  person does not benefit from it. Even if he studied all the books of philosophical logic, he will not benefit from it. Shaikh Albaani [rahimahullaah] used to debate against the scholars of philosophical logic and they used to be like children in his presence, yet he never studied philosophical logic; rather Allaah granted him [sound] speech and [Sharee’ah] knowledge, and there is no proof stronger than the proofs of the Kitaab [i.e. the Qur’aan] and the [authentic] Sunnah. The people of philosophical logic are always defeated [or overwhelmed]. By Allaah, regardless how much they [utilise] philosophical speech and  how strong they are in philosophical logic, they are defeated [or overwhelmed] in the presence of the methodology of the Salafus Saaleh [which is] founded on the Book [i.e. the Qur’aan] and the [authentic] Sunnah. [Ref 7]

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee [hafidhahullaah] also said:

The final affair of Ahlul Kalaam [the proponents of theological rhetoric] are a state of doubt and confusion, and the final affair of Ahlut Tasawwuf [the people of the Sofee paths] are a state of wild irrational behaviour and false claims. Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] said, “And because of this, the innovators of Ahlul Kalaam [proponents of theological rhetoric] have something of resemblance to the Yahood and the innovators in acts of worship have something of resemblance to the Nasaaraa. The final affair of ahlul kalam are a state of doubt and confusion and the final affair of the innovators in acts of worship are a state of wild irrational behaviour and false claims. That is because these ones [i.e. ahlul kalaam] deny the truth and thus it leads them to doubt and those ones [i.e. innovators in acts of worship] believe in falsehood and it leads them to a state of wild irrational behaviour. These ones [i.e. ahlul kalam] are like the darkness in a vast deep sea, overwhelmed with a great wave topped by a great wave, topped by dark clouds, darkness, one above another; and those ones [i.e. innovators in acts of worship] are like a mirage in a desert, the thirsty one thinks it to be water, until he comes up to it and finds it to be nothing”. [Ref 8]

The Consequences of Conjecture And Desires

Allaah said:

They follow but a guess and that which they themselves desire].

Shaikh Abdur Razzaaq Al-Badr [hafidhahullaah] said: The one deprived of sound Eemaan and the sound creed sent down as revelation by Allaah- The Lord of the Aalameen, then his affair is one of two: Corruption in Knowledge or Corruption in his Intent– corruption in knowledge occurs as a result of following conjecture and corruption in one’s intent occurs as a result of following desires, or the person may combine both of them.

Another benefit derived from this is that the rectification or well-being of a person cannot be attained except by way of two affairs: Upright Knowledge and Upright Intent. This is why Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said in Miftaah Daarus Sa’aadah that a person is in need of two things: “Sound Knowledge by way of which he is rightly guided and lofty aspiration by way of which he is urged towards that”. That is because it maybe that a person has beneficial knowledge but not sound intent and aspiration, therefore one cannot be upright except by way of upright knowledge and intent. Sound knowledge is corrupted through following conjecture and sound intent is corrupted through following the desires of one’s soul. [Ref 9]

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [rahimahullaah] said:

There is nothing- based on what I can see or what I hold – more harmful to the Muslims in their creed than Ilmul Kalaam and philosophical logic. Many of the senior scholars of philosophical rhetoric affirmed – at the end of their lives – that they wished to die upon the religion [i.e. the religion that is in conformity with what is found in the Qur’aan, authentic Sunnah and understanding of the pious predecessors] and return to their natural disposition [i.e. Islaam as revealed in the authentic texts]. Shaikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] said, “The ones it is feared for the most that they will fall into misguidance are those scholars of philosophical rhetoric at the intermediate level, because those who did not engage in it were safe from its evils; and those who engaged in it and reached a high level became acquainted with its corruption and falsity, and thus left it”. He [Shaikhul Islaam] spoke the truth, for this is what is feared in every affair of knowledge. It is what is feared for the ones at the intermediate level in knowledge- those who are exploring the path [or are in the path of study], because indeed they consider themselves as ones who have entered into affairs of knowledge and do not leave the affair to others [i.e. they enter into affairs that are above their ability to deal with], whilst – in reality- they have not reached the highest level in knowledge and are not grounded; so they become misguided and misguiding others. [Ref 10]

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee [may Allaah preserve him] also said: Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

The people in their pursuit of knowledge and religion have two innovated paths and a path legislated in the Sharee’ah. The path of the Islamic legislation is to look at that which the Messenger brought, utilise it as evidence and act upon that which it necessitates; therefore, there  has to be knowledge based on that which he [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] came with and to act upon it, and only one of them is not enough. This path is built upon the sound intellectual proofs and the sound proofs that are based on absolute certainty [in conformity with the revelation], for indeed the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] clarified the sound intellectual proofs whose limits are determined by the [infallible] divine texts and the Messengers clarified the sound rational proofs which the people are in need of, just as Allaah put forth in the Qur’an every kind of similitude. This is the straight path which Allaah commanded His servants to ask Him to guide them to.

As for the two innovated paths, one of them is the path of the people of innovated theological speech and views, for indeed there is much falsehood in this. Many of its people become negligent in the deeds commanded by Allaah and His Messenger, so they remain upon corruption in knowledge and deeds. These people stray towards false Judaism.

The second is the path of people who employ ways of strengthening the soul, the people of the Soofi paths and innovated acts of worship. These ones stray towards false Christianity, because they say that if a person purifies his soul based on the manner in which they have stated, then the sciences of the religion will come to him in abundance without learning. The acts of worship of many amongst these people are innovated; rather they are in opposition to that which the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] came with and thus they remain upon corruption in their deeds and corruption due to deficiency in knowledge, since they do not know what the Messenger came with. These people often malign one another and every group speaks ill against the other, whilst each of them claims to be following the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam]; however, what the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] came with is neither in agreement with what these ones say and what those ones say. Allaah said:

Ibrahim (Abraham) was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a true Muslim Hanifa (Islamic Monotheism – to worship none but Allah Alone) and he was not one who associated partners to Allaah in worship. [Surah Aal Imraan. Aayah 67]

Neither the Messenger of Allaah [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] nor his companions were upon the path of the people of religions innovations amongst the proponents of Theological Rhetoric and Views, nor upon the path of the people of religious innovations amongst the proponents of innovated worship and Soofiyyah; rather he was upon that which Allaah sent him with based on the Qur’aan and Sunnah. [Ref 11]

Therefore, even though Ed Husain praises the early Arabian believers who took Islaam to the aggressive fire worshippers of Iran, however he wants to eradicate their path – the path of the Salafus Saaleh [the Sahaabah and their upright followers, and the upright followers during the third generation of Islaam].

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعۡ غَيۡرَ سَبِيلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِۦ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصۡلِهِۦ جَهَنَّمَ‌ۖ وَسَآءَتۡ مَصِيرًا

And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad) after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers’ way [i.e. the path of the Sahaabah], We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell – what an evil destination. [Surah An-Nisaa. Aayah 115]

Indeed, the Sahaabah neither entered into ilmul kalaam nor advocated it, even though they were acquainted with the affair of the other nations, just as Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] said: “May Allaah curse Amr Ibn Ubaid, for indeed he innovated this innovation from Al-Kalaam. If Kalaam was knowledge, the companions of the Messenger and the Taabi’een would have spoken about it just as they spoke about rulings and laws of the religion, however it is falsehood and leads to falsehood”. [Dhammul Kalaam by Al-Harwee 5/73]

May Allaah guide Ed Husain or protect us from his evil Aameen, for indeed he is one upon the misguidance of ahlul kalaam. Shaikh Abdul Waahid Abu Khadeejah [hafidhahullaah] quoted:

The Tabi’ī who said: “I do not know which of the two blessings of Allah upon me is greater: that He guided me to Islam or that He saved from [following] these desires?!”

The Tabi’ī who said: “I do not know which of the two blessings of Allah upon me is greater: that He guided me to Islam or that He saved from [following] these desires?!”

Ed Husain – Averroist at So-called Think Tank Quilliam Foundation- Retweets a Statement of Mulhid Charles Darwin!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Miskeen Mulhid Darwin thought that he discovered the value of life, yet he wasted his life in Kufr and Shirk Akbar!

Ed Husain retweets:

“A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life”.

Subhaanallaah! Darwin Miskeen wasted his entire life in Kufr Akbar and Shirk Akbar, so all those hours were utilised in disobedience to Allaah and His Messengers, as well as calling to Kufr. Visit: http://www.aqidah.com/creed/categories/xz-darwinism-and-atheism.cfm

Imaam Ibnul Mubaarak [rahimahullaah] said:

“The people leave the worldly life before tasting the sweetest of that which is in it. It was said to him, ‘And what is the sweetest of that which is in it?’ He said, ‘Ma’rifatu Allaah’– knowledge and awareness of Allah”.  [Ref A]

What About The Kufr Darwin left Behind

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡىِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَنَڪۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُواْ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمۡۚ وَكُلَّ شَىۡءٍ أَحۡصَيۡنَـٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍ۬ مُّبِينٍ۬

Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. [Surah Yaaseen. Aayah 12]

[إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡىِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ – Verily, We give life to the dead]- Meaning, We’ll resurrect them after their death to recompense them for their deeds (1). [وَنَڪۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُواْ – and We record that which they send before (them)] – Meaning, good and evil, the deeds they did during their lifetime (2).

[وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمۡۚ – and their traces]. Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said: That which they initiated of good or evil and thus they were followed by others after their death. (3)

Imaam Al-Aloosee [rahimahullaah] said: That which they left behind of good deeds, such as the knowledge they taught people, books they wrote, land they gave as endowment or a building they built in the path of Allaah and other good deeds; or sins, such as establishment of laws [legislation, rules, regulations etc] that are tantamount to oppression and transgression, or setting up principles amongst the people that are tantamount to evil and corruption, and the evil Funoon [i.e. haraam professions, crafts etc] which they initiated and were revived after them by the corrupt people. [4]

Imaam As-Sadi [rahimahullaah] said: It is the good and evil outcomes about which they were the cause of its occurrence during their life time and after their death, and those deeds that emanated from their statements, deeds and circumstances. Every good performed by one of the people due to the knowledge of the servant, his teaching and advice, or through enjoying good and forbidding evil, or knowledge he transmitted to the learners, or in a book which is benefitted from during his life and after his death, or a good deed, such as Salaah, Zakaat, Sadaqah or kindness based on which he was followed, or built a masjid or a place which the people benefit from and what is similar, it will be from the good outcomes that are written for him, and likewise are the evil outcomes. The Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, “Whoever starts a good thing [i.e. something other than bidah and sin] and is followed by others, he will have his own reward and a reward equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their reward in any way. Whoever starts a bad thing [i.e. a bidah, sin or something that opposes Islaam] and is followed by others, will bear the burden of his own sin and a burden equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their burden in any way”. [Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no. 2675]

This subject matter makes clear to you the lofty station of calling to the path of Allaah, guidance to His path through every means and path that leads to it; and the lowly status of the caller to evil and a leader in it, and that he is the most degraded human being, one who has committed the severest crime and the greatest sin. Part 8: Brief Rebuttal Against Ed Husain: [Ahlul Bidah – [Misguidance of The Raafidah And a Bold Claim of An Averroist at The So-called Think Tank Quilliam Foundation]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Why Is Ed Husain Rebutted

Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] said:

May Allaah curse Amr Ibn Ubaid, for indeed he innovated this innovation from Al-Kalaam. If Kalaam was knowledge, the companions of the Messenger and the Taabi’een would have spoken about it just as they spoke about rulings and laws of the religion, however it is falsehood and leads to falsehood.

Dhammul Kalaam by Al-Harwee 5/73

Indeed, the heretical Raafidah are well known for their wretched state of affairs due to the hatred they harbour in their hearts against the Sahaabah [radiyallaahu-anhum]. They are well known for their vile false accusations against Mu’aawiyah and others amongst the Sahaabah [radiyallaahu-anhum]. Therefore, we’ll suffice with the statement of Imaam Al-Laalikaa’ee [rahimahullaah] who reported that Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] said:

Whoever curses the companions of Allaah’s Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] has no right to the war booty. Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said: [لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ ٱلۡمُهَـٰجِرِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُخۡرِجُواْ مِن دِيَـٰرِهِمۡ وَأَمۡوَٲلِهِمۡ يَبۡتَغُونَ فَضۡلاً۬ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضۡوَٲنً۬ا – (And there is also a share in this booty) for the poor emigrants, who were expelled from their homes and their property, seeking Bounties from Allah and to please him(Surah Al-Hashr. Aayah 8)]. These are the companions of the Messenger of Allaah [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] who migrated with him. Then Allaah said: [وَٱلَّذِينَ تَبَوَّءُو ٱلدَّارَ وَٱلۡإِيمَـٰنَ  – And those who, before them, had homes (in Al-Madinah) and had adopted the Faith]. These are the Ansaar. Then Allaah said: [وَٱلَّذِينَ جَآءُو مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَلِإِخۡوَٲنِنَا – And those who came after them say: Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in Faith]. Therefore, the war booty is for these three [categories of people]– whoever curses the companions of the Messenger of Allaah [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] is not counted amongst [these people] and he has no right to the war booty. [Ref A]

Brief Acquaintance With The Noble Companion Mu’aawiyah Bin Abee Sufyaan [radiyallaahu-anhumaa]

https://salaficentre.com/2019/08/18/the-illustrious-companion-muaawiyah-bin-abee-sufyaan-radiyallaahu-anhumaa-by-shaikh-rabee-bin-haadi-hafidhahullaah/

As for Ed Husain – ex-member of the khaarijites of Hizb at-Tahreer and now an Averroist- he praises Mu’aawiyah [radiyallaahu-anhumaa], but then makes a claim without providing a single proof. He claims that the noble companion Mu’aawiyah Bin Abee Sufyaan [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] “Held sessions of debate and discussion in court on history, theology and philosophy”. Indeed, the burden of proof is upon the claimant and we wait for Ed Husain – Mr Averroist – to provide proof for his claim that this noble companion entertained philosophy, because it is well known that the Salafus Saaleeh [pious predecessors] did not engage in ilmul kalaam. Shaikh Shamsuddeen Al-Afghaanee As-Salafi [rahimahullaah] said:

Allaah [The Most High] guided mankind though Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and though what he brought of clear manifest evidences and guidance-a guidance that could not be described by those who were proficient in giving descriptions and surpassed the knowledge of those with great perception. So, though this guidance that was given to the Messenger of Allaah [sallal-laahu-alayhi- wasallam], Allaah [The Most High] opened the eyes of the blind ones, the ears of the deaf ones and the hearts of the heedless ones. Allaah [The Most High] united them upon one religion-[the religion of Islamic monotheism; Ibraaheem’s [alayhis-salaam] religion of pure monotheism]-after they had been in complete disunity, enmity towards one another, upon destructive and corrupt creeds. Allaah united their hearts and they became true brothers in Islaam by way of this great blessing. And thereafter everything that was worshiped besides Allaah-such as graves, trees, stones, graven images, idols etc- ceased to exist and all worship was carried out for Allaah (alone).

The people followed the true Religion of Islamic monotheism; they worshipped Allaah alone and established worship sincerely for Allaah, except those whom Allaah willed that they were to remain as people of polytheism, hypocrisy and followers of the altered and distorted previous scriptures. The darkness of shirk was dispelled and the banner of Tawheed was raised in the lands-amongst the Arabs and non-Arabs.

Allaah [The Most High] took away the soul of His Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallaam], whilst Islaam was established and in authority-superseding all other ways of life and creeds. Then the rightly guided khulafaa of the Messenger continued upon this path until the two powerful and great nations at the time-Rome and Persia-ended up in humiliation, degradation and in a state of fear after they had been in a state of security, and thus Caesar was restricted and besieged, and khosrau was subdued and destroyed.

So when the enemies of Islaam saw that they were unable to do away with this religion, they implanted their disbelieving agents within Islam, who pretended to be Muslims in order to foment confusion, trials and tribulations; and in order to spread shirk by exaggerating the status of the pious people and exalting their graves with [beliefs and practices] that were not ordained by Allaah.

So, this Ummah was put to trial through the plots of the [atheist, heretic and hypocrite] Abdullaah Bin Saba, who claimed Uloohiyyah [i.e. the right to be worship] for Ali Ibn Abee Taalib [radiyallaahu- anhu]. Abdullaah Bin As-Sabah’s followers were known as the Saaba-iyyah, and later on they were known as the rawaafid (shiites), the ismaaliyyah (shittes), the nusayriyah (shiites) and other than them amongst the Baatiniyyah. They used to worship the graves and the dead, and they used to build places of worship and domed [shaped] shrines upon these graves. So, by way of this they revived the practices of the Yahood, the Nasaaraa and the idol worshippers, and thus the practices of the worshippers of graves in this Muslim Ummah manifested itself in actions that were carried out by the rawaafid (shiites).

Secondly: The books of Greek philosophy that contained the ideas of grave and idol worship were translated into Arabic, so many of those who attributed themselves to Islam busied themselves with these books,  such  as  the  likes  of  Al- Faraabee (a) Ibn Sinaa Al-Hanafi (b) Naseer At- Toosee the advocator of disbelief and shirk (c) and other than them amongst those who played tricks with Islaam, just as Paul played tricks with Christianity.

They were influenced by the ideas of the Greek Philosophers, such as the creed of grave worship, so they became callers to grave worship through Greek Philosophy. The practices of these people was rife within the ranks of the people of rhetoric amongst the Hanafi Maatooreediyyah (d) and the Ash-ariyyah Kullaabiyyah due to busying themselves with the Books of the Philosophers; so they were influenced by the creed of grave worship. They became callers to grave worship and callers to the creed of the Jahmiyyah at the same time, such as the likes of Taftaazaanee Al-Hanafi [The Philosopher of the Maatooreediyyah and Grave worshipers] and Jurjaanee Al-Hanafi [a caller to superstition]

[a] Al-Faraabee: Al-Faraabee said that Philosophy is more perfect than Prophet hood. Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said about him: “Misguided, a disbeliever’’. Ibn Sinaa adopted his books and ideas of disbelief. [For further details concerning Al- Faraabee, See Majmoo Al-Fataawaa 2/67—86] [Dar At-Ta’aarud 1/10] [Ighaathatul Luhfaan 2/372-373].

Statements of The Salafus Saaleh [Pious Predecessors] And The Upright Scholars Eegarding Ilmul Kalaam

Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] said,

“May Allaah curse Amr Ibn Ubaid, for indeed he innovated this innovation from Al-Kalaam. If Kalaam was knowledge, the companions of the Messenger and the Taabi’een would have spoken about it just as they spoke about rulings and laws of the religion, however it is falsehood and leads to falsehood. [Ref 2]

Imaam Ash-Shaafi’ee [rahimahullaah] said,

“Ilmul Kalaam is ignorance”. Imaam Abu Yusuf [rahimahullaah] said, “Ilmul kalaam is ignorance and to be ignorant of Ilmul Kalaam is knowledge”. [Ref 3]

[Ref 4]

[Ref 5]

Imaam Ahmad (rahimahullaah) also said,

“Do not sit with the proponents of ilmul kalaam even if they defend the Sunnah”. [Ref 6]

[Ref 7]

Ibn Aqeel [rahimahullaah] said, “There is none more harmful on the sharee’ah than the innovators of the people of kalaam [i.e. the people of philosophical rhetoric] and the ignorant soofees”. [Ref 8]

[Ref 9]

[Ref 10]

[Ref 11]

[Ref 12]

[Ref 13]

We wait for Ed Husain to provide authentic sources to prove that the noble companion Mu’aawiyah Bin Abee Sufyaan [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] entertained philosophy.

Khawf and Khash’yah

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah [The Most High] said:

[إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ – It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah].

Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said, “That is because they [i.e. the true scholars] know with certainty that Allaah alone is able to do all things”. [Ref 1]

Khash’yah (Awe) does not occur, except through Knowledge due to the saying of Allaah.

It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah. [35:28]

As for the Khawf (fear), a human may be afraid of something scary, but he does not know the true reality of that thing. Therefore, Khash’yah is established due to the Greatness of the one who is feared, and khawf may come about due to the weakness of the one who fears. [Ref 2]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [hafidhahullaah] said:

All praise and thanks be to Allaah, and may Allaah’s peace and blessings be upon Allaah’s Messenger, his family, his companions and those who follow his guidance. To proceed: Indeed, lying is repugnant and heinous – considered extremely repugnant and loathsome by the Islamic legislation, sound intellect and sound natural disposition; abhorred in all nations, all religions and creeds. Indeed, Allaah made it forbidden in all messages of the Messengers, dispraised lying and liars in many verses and promised them the severest punishment. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Say (O Muhammad):“(But) the things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are Al-Fawahish (great evil sins, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) whether committed openly or secretly, sins (of all kinds), unrighteous oppression, joining partners (in worship) with Allah for which He has given no authority, and saying things about Allah of which you have no knowledge]. [Surah Al-A’raaf. Aayah 33]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] sees that the most loathsome and greatest of these unlawful deeds is to speak about Allaah without knowledge, since Shirk and Kufr did not occur except from lying. Allaah  [تعالى   ] said: [وَلَا تَقۡفُ مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡبَصَرَ وَٱلۡفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ كَانَ عَنۡهُ مَسۡـُٔولاً۬ – And follow not (O man i.e., say not, or do not or witness not, etc.) that of which you have no knowledge (e.g. one’s saying: “I have seen,” while in fact he has not seen, or “I have heard,” while he has not heard). Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those you will be questioned (by Allah)].

Allaah [تعالى   ] said:

And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: “This is lawful and this is forbidden,” so as to invent lies against Allah. Verily, those who invent lies against Allah will never prosper. A passing brief enjoyment (will be theirs), but they will have a painful torment. [Surah An-Nahl. Aayaat 116-117]

Allaah forbade lying and mentioned it alongside shirk. Allaah [

So shun the abomination (worshipping) of idol, and shun lying speech (false statements). Hunafa’ Lillah (i.e. to worship none but Allah), not associating partners (in worship, etc.) unto Him and whoever assigns partners to Allah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place. [Surah Al-Hajj. Aayaat 30-31]

This dangerous shirk is established upon lies and it is its greatest foundation and principle, and Allaah considers it as the severest type of wrongdoing. Allaah said:

And who does more wrong than the one who invents a lie against Allah, while he is being invited to Islam? And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers) folk. They intend to extinguish the Light of Allah with their mouths. But Allah will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it). [Surah As-Saff. Aayaat 7-8]

Allaah clarified the filth of their goals and the evil of their intentions, and that by way of their lies and fabrications they intend to extinguish Allaah’s guidance, His proofs, evidences and mighty signs. This is the same regarding everyone amongst the people of desires who wages war against the truth and its adherents, for they want to extinguish Allaah’s guidance, nullify His proofs and evidences in order to give the upper hand to their falsehoods and misguidance. Allaah [The Exalted] stated regarding lying and the liars:

[فَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّن ڪَذَبَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلصِّدۡقِ إِذۡ جَآءَهُ ۥۤ‌ۚ أَلَيۡسَ فِى جَهَنَّمَ مَثۡوً۬ى لِّلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ – Then, who does more wrong than one who utters a lie against Allah, and denies the truth when it comes to him! Is there not in Hell an abode for the disbelievers?] [Surah Az-Zumar. Aayah 32]

So, this is the recompense for the liars. Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said: “Avoid the seven destructive sins: “Shirk, witchcraft, killing a soul whom Allah has forbidden to be killed, except in cases dictated by Islamic law; consuming ribaa, consuming the orphans’ wealth, fleeing from the battlefield and slandering chaste, innocent women”.

So, he [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] placed slander- and it is one of the most loathsome types of lies – amongst these major sins which Allaah commanded us to avoid due to its danger, rather the one who commits this slander is cursed in this life and the hereafter. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

[إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَرۡمُونَ ٱلۡمُحۡصَنَـٰتِ ٱلۡغَـٰفِلَـٰتِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ لُعِنُواْ فِى ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأَخِرَةِ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ۬ – Verily, those who accuse chaste women, who never even think of anything touching their chastity and are good believers, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter, and for them will be a great torment]. [Surah an-Noor. Aayah 23]

And Allaah [The Exalted] stated with hatred towards the one who transmits lies and neither pondered nor had sound knowledge of the affair:

When you were propagating it with your tongues, and uttering with your mouths that whereof you had no knowledge, you counted it a little thing, while with Allah it was very great. And why did you not, when you heard it, say? “It is not right for us to speak of this. Glory be to You (O Allah) this is a great lie.” Allah forbids you from it and warns you not to repeat the like of it forever, if you are believers. [Surah An-Noor. Aayaat 15-17]

Allaah said: [إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ ٱلۡفَـٰحِشَةُ فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ۬ فِى ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأَخِرَةِ‌ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ –Verily, those who like that (the crime of) illegal sexual intercourse should be propagated among those who believe, they will have a painful torment in this world and in the Hereafter. And Allah knows and you know not]. [Surah An-Noor. Aayah 19]

This severe threat of punishment and dispraise is related to slandering chaste women, and what is more dangerous than it is slandering those believers who are innocent, those who strive in the path of Allaah, the callers to the path of Allaah [تبارك وتعالى ] with truth and clear proofs. Indeed, the people of desires – those who wage war against the truth and its adherents – think that this is specific to the act of slandering chaste women!  Depraved is the thinking of the one who has this corrupt understanding!

Indeed, this includes the one who violates the honour of the Muslims, especially the honour of the callers to the truth who are innocent, for indeed their honour has a great status which must be protected and not violated. And it maybe that the one who violates this honour is more deserving of curse and punishment than the one who slanders chaste women due to a personal or worldly affair. Allaaah’s Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said: “Whoever argues based on falsehood knowingly will not cease to be under the wrath of Allaah until he stops. And whoever says about a believer that which is not true, he will reside in Radghat Al-Khabaal [pus] until he recants”. The one who knowingly argues based on falsehood as well as the one who says about a believer that which is not true, his recompense as it is stated is that  he will be imprisoned in the pus of the people of the hell fire. This is an authentic hadeeth that was reported by Abu Daawud, Ahmad and Al-Haakim. Return to As-Saheehah by Albaanee [rahimahullaah], hadeeth Number 438.

He [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said: “The worst form of usury is the violation of someone’s honour” – meaning the honour of those who are innocent. And he [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said: “Verily, the worst act of usury is a man’s attack against the honour of his brother”. Refer to As-Saheehah by Albaanee. Number 1433 and the other hadeeth that support this hadeeth in there.

“The worst form of usury is the violation of someone’s honour”

Verily, the worst act of usury is to attack the honour of a Muslim without a just cause. [Abu Daawud 4876]

[Verily, the worst act of usury is to attack the reputation of a Muslim]: Meaning, the greater in evil and the more severely prohibited is to unleash the tongue against the honour of a Muslim by belittling him, behaving arrogantly towards him and speaking ill against him by way of slander or verbal abuse. This becomes more severe in prohibition because honour is more noble than one’s self and wealth.

[Without a just cause]- Meaning, this shows that there are cases in which one is allowed to speak about someone, saying, such and such is an oppressor or transgressor, or making a mention of an innovator and an open sinner with the intention to issue warning. At-Teebee [rahimahullaah] said: Honour enters into the types of wealth from the angle of emphasis, and then this usury is categorised into the two types- that which is customary [i.e. evil customs] and it is what is taken as an addition from debtors, and the one that is not customary, such as a person attacking the honour of someone with his tongue. [An Excerpt from ‘Awnul Mabood Sharh Sunan Abee Daawud’ 13/152. Slightly paraphrased]

This [i.e. violating the honour of a Muslim] has been referred to as usury because the transgressor establishes his honour and then goes beyond it, so it is as if he has added an increase that encroaches the boundaries in relation to the honour of a Muslim which is more valuable than his wealth. At-Teebee [rahimahullaah] said: Honour is included in the types of wealth from the angle of emphasis, and usury is categorised into one that is customary and it is what is taken as an addition from debtors, and that which is not customary such as a person attacking the honour of someone with his tongue. Al-Qaadhee [rahimahullaah] said, “Attacking a Muslim’s honour is to deal with him more than what he deserves of that which is to be said about him, or more than what is allowed to say about him, and this is why it is likened to usury and considered one of its types; then it is considered worse because it contains more harm and severer in corruption. [An Excerpt from ‘Mirqaatul Mafaateeh Sharh Mishkaat Al-Masaabeeh’ 8/3157. Slightly paraphrased]

Shaikh Rabee [may Allaah preserve him] continued….

Allaah [The Exalted] stated about those who lend an ear to lies and those affected by it amongst the Yahood, the Munaafiqeen and those who follow their way:

O Messenger (Muhammad)! Let not those who hurry to fall into disbelief grieve you, of such who say: “We believe” with their mouths but their hearts have no faith. And of the Yahood are men who listen much and eagerly to lies – listen to others who have not come to you. They change the words from their places; they say, “If you are given this, take it, but if you are not given this, then beware!” And whomsoever Allah wants to put in Al-Fitnah [error, because of his rejecting the Faith], you can do nothing for him against Allah. Those are the ones whose hearts Allah does not want to purify (from disbelief and hypocrisy); for them there is a disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a great torment. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. Aayah 41]

Look at what is these Aayaat of dispraise and severe disparagement against those who lend an ear to lies, those who transmit it in the world – and Allaah’s refuge is sought- whilst not pondering, ascertaining and not looking into the reality.

Indeed, the opponents of Ahlus Sunnah amongst ahlul ahwaa [the people of desires] receive  pleasure from a share of these characteristics[i.e. lying], and hypocrisy is feared for some of them lest these blameworthy characteristics applies to them as well as that which emanates from it of dispraise and punishment. And one of the punishments against liars is that which he [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, “Beware of lying, for indeed lying leads to wickedness and wickedness leads to the fire. And a man does not cease telling lies and endeavour to tell lies until he is written [i.e. judged] by Allaah as a liar”. Rather lying can lead to major hypocrisy, Allaah [The Exalted] said:

And of them are some who made a covenant with Allah (saying): “If He bestowed on us of His Bounty, we will verily, give Sadaqah (Zakat and voluntary charity in Allah’s Cause) and will be certainly among those who are righteous.” Then when He gave them of His Bounty, they became niggardly [refused to pay the Sadaqah (Zakat or voluntary charity)], and turned away, averse. So He punished them by putting hypocrisy into their hearts till the Day whereon they shall meet Him, because they broke that (covenant with Allah) which they had promised Him and because they used to tell lies. [Surah At-Tawbah. Aayaat 75-77]

So, lying and breaking covenants plunged them into the sludge of hypocrisy – and Allaah’s Refuge is sought, and the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] stated that lying is one of the signs of hypocrisy. He said, “The signs of a hypocrite are three: Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his promise), and when trusted, he proves to be treacherous”.

And from the punishments against lying is that which the noble Messenger- the possessor of the highest moral character – has related  in a long hadeeth when he said, “I saw two men who came to me and said, ‘The one you saw his jaw being torn apart is a liar. He used to tell a lie until it reaches the furthest regions and it was transmitted from him until the Day of Resurrection’”. He [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] saw that man in whose mouth was placed an iron hook and torn off until it reached his ear; then the angel turned to the other jaw and tore it apart util it reached the man’s other ear, and then it returns as it was. And he will carry on with that until the day of Resurrection, just as the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] related. This is from the recompense for the liars.

Numerous are the liars today against the carriers of the Salafi Dawah and its callers! They are able to spread oppressive rumours until it reaches all the world through various means that have been made available to them in this era. They hinder the people from the path of Allaah by way of these rumours and seek to make it crooked, aid their falsehoods by way of it, their utter nonsense and dangerous religious innovations that destroy the sound belief, the sound Islamic approaches to various subject matters and the virtuous manners. There’s no doubt brothers and sisters that Hasan Hasan is a liar who spreads lies against Salafiyyah in the guise of academic research. Indeed, one may ask, “Why respond to this Hasan Hasan?!” We say, “Indeed, by Allaah this man is a vile slanderer who seeks to defile the name of Salafiyyah and the Salafiyyoon. Whilst discussing the satanic methodology of the Khawaarij [ISIS and their Ilk], he sought to associate them with Salafiyyah, such as when he stated, “Ahrar al-Sham, a Salafi-jihadist group close to Jabhat al-Nusra”. The wicked slanderer also said, “The Isis ideology is generally viewed as identical to al-Qaida’s or the Saudi version of Salafism – adherence to fundamental Islamic tenets – and so there does not seem to be a serious effort to study it more closely”. Therefore, we decided to respond to him in brief and we’ll respond to his slanders again if it reaches us. The following is a short series in response to this vile liar:

Part 11: Brief Rebuttal Against Hasan Hasan – Pseudo Researcher And Pretender In Issues of Salafiyyah And a Vile Slanderer Against Salafiyyah!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Indeed, one may ask, “Why respond to this Hasan Hasan?!”

We say, Indeed, by Allaah this man is a vile slanderer who seeks to defile the name of Salafiyyah and the Salafiyyoon.

The vile slanderer against Salafiyyah – Hasan Hasan – said:

“Because Isis bases its teachings on religious texts that mainstream Muslim clerics do not want to deal with head on, new recruits leave the camp feeling that they have stumbled on the true message of Islam. New recruits such as Ghannam and his cousins graduate armed with theological arguments, military training and a conviction that fellow Muslims are at least partly complicit in the suppression of true Islam”.

Brief comment on the above statement:

We can accept the fact that researchers do make genuine mistakes, however when researchers constantly speculate, the only conclusion is that either they have entered into an affair that is too complicated for them or they are simply engaged in research to fulfil the agenda of the militant secularists and liberalists – those whose main aim is to do away with Salafiyyah and the authentic Sunnah, even though they will never be able to do so. Indeed, the Prophet [sallal laahu-alayhi wasallam] said: “There will not cease to be a group amongst my Ummah upon the truth; neither will they be harmed by those who betray them nor those who oppose them until the command of Allaah arrives [i.e. the day of judgement]”. [Bukhaari]

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] says:

This group will not cease to exist in the Ummah. The Ummah will not be deprived of this Sunni Group. This Taa’ifah can be one group. If it adheres to the Qur’aan and the Sunnah, it is the Taa’ifah Al-Mansoorah [The Victorious Group], even if it is only one. The Ummah will not lose this Sunni Group, this good group, and all praise be to Allaah – until the command of Allaah comes to pass [i.e. the day of judgment]. ‘They will not be harmed by those who forsake them’.  Amongst the people are those who forsake them and those who oppose them, but they will not be harmed. This is from Allaah’s Grace upon His servants and that He will establish the truth for the one who aids the truth and call to it, even if evil is rife. There will be those who adhere to good, call to it and disseminate it amongst the people. Not all the Ummah will be misguided, but some will remain upon truth, but they might be strangers [i.e. their affair will be strange to the people], just as the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, “Islam began as a strange thing and it will return as a strange thing, and glad tidings to the strangers”, so they said, ‘Who are the strangers O Messenger of Allaah? He said, ‘They are those who will be upright when the people become corrupt’.. and in another version of this hadeeth, “Those who rectify what the people have corrupted’. These are the strangers, because the majority of the people oppose them, belittle, forsake and keep away from what they are upon, but this will not harm them, “They will never be harmed by those who forsake them nor by those who oppose them’. Allaah will make them remain so that His Proofs remain amongst the creation until the end of time. This group might be in the East, the West, or the North etc…They are not in a specific place, but they are present. Whoever wants will find it. It is present and all praise is due to Allaah. Alhamdulil laah, we – at present – are upon a correct methodology, upon a sound methodology; our methodology is that which the Qur’aan and sunnah necessitate, our learning is based upon the Qur’aan and the Sunnah. We study Tafseer, hadeeth and its explanation, the Aqeedah of the pious predecessors and that which they were upon. Alhamadulil laah at present we are upon a correct path, a sound methodology and straight path. We ask Allaah to keep us firm upon it until we meet him, neither substituting nor changing it. [ref 1]

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadee [may Allaah preserve him] says:

It is obligated on the Taa’ifatul Mansoorah [i.e. the aided group] – those whom Allaah’s Messenger gave glad tidings that they will remain [upon truth] and will be aided, neither harmed by those who betray them nor by those who oppose them till the end of time – to establish [sound] brotherhood for the sake of Allaah, co-operate upon righteousness and piety, roll up their sleeves and get to work, so that this great status is maintained, which is that they will be manifest upon the truth, neither harmed by those who forsake them nor by those who oppose them. And acquaintance with the truth cannot be [reached] except by way of the knowledge inherited from the Prophets and Messengers [alayhimus salaam], and from the seal of the Prophets [i.e. the Messenger Muhammad (sallal laahu alayhi wasallam)]. The scholars are the inheritors of the [knowledge left behind by] the Prophets in calling to the path of Allaah, [in propagating] Allaah’s Message to [mankind], and in enjoining good and forbidding evil. Part 10: Brief Rebuttal Against Hasan Hasan – Pseudo Researcher And Pretender In Issues of Salafiyyah And a Vile Slanderer Against Salafiyyah!

The above is enough proof to show that this man is a vile and obstinate slanderer and we have already dealt with this in the following articles:

Hasan Hasan – the vile slanderer – said:

“Unlike previous incidents of stoning adulterers and crucifixion, throwing people from high buildings did not even inspire criticism of sharia in the Middle East because many did not realise it was a sharia penalty in the first place. But it is the obscurity of the punishment that makes it particularly valuable for Isis. The purpose is not to increase the volume of violence but also to raise eyebrows and trigger questions about such practices, which Isis is more capable of answering than mainstream clerics, who prefer to conceal teachings that propound such punishments. Many Isis members were eager to emphasise they were impressed by such obscure teachings, and were drawn to the group by the way Isis presents Islam with absolute lucidity. Mothanna Abdulsattar, for example, spoke about the group’s “intellectualism and the way it spreads religion and fights injustice”. [End of quote]

Response to the above

Regarding throwing people from high buildings, Hasan Hasan is referring to the manner in which ISIS dealt with the people accused of sodomy. We have already addressed this affair in post 5 by way of a quote from Shaikh Abdul Waahid – Abu Khadeejah [hafidhahullaah] when he stated, “Muslim scholars throughout history have taken this story [i.e. Sodom and Gomorrah] to mean that Allah has prohibited homosexuality absolutely, i.e. courtship and sexual relationships between men. Muslims see homosexuality as an unnatural condition, an immoral inclination, even a mental illness which is dangerous for the individual and society in terms of its goodness and morality. Islam teaches that a Muslim cannot be pious and obedient to God and be a practising homosexual; the two states are incompatible. However, Muslim doctrine does not remove from the fold of Islam the one who practices the major sin of homosexuality”.

“The Qur’an does not say how homosexuality should be punished, but a saying of the Prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him) makes clear: “Whoever you find engaging in the action of the people of Lūt, execute the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done.” (Ibn Majah 2561, Tirmidhi 1456) This saying must not be used by individuals as an excuse to enact or incite violence against homosexuals”. “Prescribed punishments can only be carried out by the legal authority in a country that practices Islamic Law (i.e. in a Muslim country); and there must be clear evidence that actual sex had taken place. The Muslim penal code carries out punishments  on the basis of the unlawful act that is committed and not on the basis of a persons’ inclinations where no illegal act has been committed”. “This is the view of all of the famous scholars and jurists of Islam in line with the punishment dealt to the people of Lūt (in the Qur’an) and the hadīth of the Prophet. A Muslim, regardless of which country he lives in, is not allowed to physically harm those he regards to be sinners, nor incite others to do so. Vigilantism goes against Islamic teachings because it creates an anarchic, unjust and disorderly society”. https://www.abukhadeejah.com/lgbtq-homosexuality-gay-muslims-and-islam/

Then Hasan – the vile slanderer against Salafiyyah – said,

“The purpose is not to increase the volume of violence but also to raise eyebrows and trigger questions about such practices, which Isis is more capable of answering than mainstream clerics, who prefer to conceal teachings that propound such punishments”. [End of quote]

Response to the above

Firstly, indeed, this above statement clearly demonstrates Hasan Hasan’s extreme ignorance regarding ahlul bidah, because neither are the Khawaarij people of knowledge nor are they capable of clarifying any affair of the religion in the manner carried out by the upright scholars of Ahlus Sunnah; rather the satanic path of the khawaarij is based on nothing else other than ambiguity and going beyond bounds. This is one of their distinct traits at present as it was when they first appeared during the era of the Sahaabah. Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said to the khawaarij, “I have come to you from the companions of the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)- from the Muhajiroun and the Ansar, and from the son of the uncle of the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam). The Qur’an was sent down upon them (i.e. in their time) and they are more knowledgeable concerning it than yourselves, and there is not a single one of them amongst you; and so that I may inform you of what they say and inform them of what you say. So some of them (i.e. khawaarij) said: Do not debate with the Quraish, for indeed Allaah said: [بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ] Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people [Soorah Az-Zukhruf Ayah 58]

Ibn Abbas said: I have never seen a people who exerted themselves in worship more than them(i.e. khawaarij). Their foreheads were scared due to prostration (in prayer at night)….etc Then some of them said: We shall speak to him and see what he says. [After the debate two-thousand of them left their misguidance and the rest remained upon their misguidance. They came out fighting, so the Muhaajiroon and the Ansaar fought them]. [1]

Shaikh Saaleh al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:

The khawaarij were not misguided and misguiding others with their intellects and fear of Allaah, except that they disassociated themselves from the scholars and depended on their own understanding and that of those similar to them. They took instructions from one another, and thus they caused harm to themselves and to the ummah. This is the result of disassociating from the scholars. [2]

Secondly, the khawaarij are from those beguiled by shaytaan. Allaah (The Most High) said:

[ أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ فَرَآهُ حَسَنًا – Is he, then, to whom the evil of his deeds made fair seeming, so that he considers it as good (equal to one who is rightly guided)?] [Surah Faatir; Ayah 8]

Sa’eed Bin Jubair (rahimahullaah) said, “This was revealed concerning the people of bidah and desires”. Qataadah (rahimahullaah) said, “And from them are the khawaarij, who make lawful the spilling of the blood of the Muslims and confiscating their wealth. As for the people of the Kabaa’ir (i.e. those sinful Muslims who commit major sins) they are not from them (i.e. not from those whom the evil of their deeds are made fair seeming, so that they consider it as good) because they do not declare the major sins to be lawful”. The one to whom doubts are made fair-seeming and is submerged in it, and his deeds are made fair seeming to him, so that he considers it as good, shaytaan makes it fair-seeming to him through waswaas. [Re 3]

Therefore, the khawaarij are not people of sound understanding, rather they are ahlul bidah – beguiled by shaytaan if only Hasan Hasan knew!

As for Hasan Hasan’s statement ‘Mainstream clerics’, this is a well-planned deception because the reader is left with the impression that the problem is only between ISIS and those Hasan Hasan consider to be ‘mainstream Muslims’; but rather the basis of problem is extremism and negligence – the extremism propagated by the devils of ISIS and the negligence and distortion championed by Hasan Hasan and other deceitful writers. This word ‘mainstream’ requires detail and distinction, so that the poison hidden in it by Hasan Hasan is removed, because indeed whilst refuting vile Jihaadists and considered them to outside the confines of what he regards to be mainstream Islaam, he also made an attempt to bring them into the fold of Salafiyyah, even though Salafiyyah is free from this false accusation. Indeed, Islaam practiced in the past, today or in future must be in agreement with three sources: The Qur’aan, the authentic Sunnah and the understanding of the Sahaabah – free from ISIS’s extremism, Hasan Hasan’s false accusations against Salafiyyah, the religious innovations of the Shiites and the soofees, and all other deviated sects.  Al-Allaamah Abdul Muhsin al-Abbaad [hafidhahullaah] said:

The noble Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) stated that deeds are rejected if they are based on bidah: [مَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِي أَمْرِنَا هَذَا مَا لَيْسَ مِنْهُ فَهُوَ رَدٌ – He who innovates something in this matter of ours (i.e. Islam) that is not of it will have it rejected (by Allah)].

And in another wording of this hadeeth in Saheeh Muslim the Prophet said:[مَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلًا لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْرُنَا فَهُوَ رَد  – He who does an act (of worship) which we have not commanded (i.e. not commanded by the Prophet), will have it rejected].

And the noble Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] also said:

Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] said: “The latter part of this Ummah (i.e. those who will come after the Salaf) will not be rectified except by way of that which rectified it’s earlier part (i.e. the Salaf).’’ And he [rahimahullaah) said: ‘’Whoever innovates a bidah in Islaam and considers it to be something good, then indeed he has claimed that Muhammad betrayed the Risaalah (i.e. the message he was entrusted with); because Allaah said: ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ -This day, I have perfected your religion for you.” Therefore, what was not part of the religion at that time (i.e. during the time of the Messenger) cannot be part of the religion today (i.e. after his departure from this world).”

Al-Allaamah Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbaad [hafidahullaah] said:

It is not enough for a person to say: “I am going to do this act of worship even though it was not (performed by) the Prophet because my intention is pure and good.” The evidence (against this statement) is that when it reached the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) that a man amongst his noble companions slaughtered the Eed sacrifice before the Eed Salaah, he (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said to him: شَاتُكَ شَاةُ لَحْمٍ- “Your (slaughtered sheep was just mutton (not a sacrifice).” [Saheeh Bukhaari. Number: 5556]; meaning: It is not considered Eed sacrifice because it was not carried out in conformity with my Sunnah. Therefore, what is in conformity with the Sunnah is that the Eed sacrifice is done after the Eed Salaah; but as for sacrificing before the Salaah, then indeed it is outside its specified time and will not be regarded as (Eed sacrifice).

Al-Haafidh said in Fat-hul Baaree (10/17): “Shaikh Abu Muhammad Bin Abu Hamzah said: In this hadeeth is (established the fact that) if an action (i.e. an act of worship) is done with a sincere intention, it is still not (considered) righteous unless it is in conformity with the legislated divine revelation.

Also that which will shed more light on this affair is when Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood came to a people who had gathered in the Masjid, and each of them had a number of stones/pebbles; and there was one man amongst them saying: ‘Say ‘Subhaanallaah’ a hundred times; say ‘Laa-ilaaha Ilal laah’ a hundred times; say ‘Allaahu Akbar’ a hundred times. So they repeated.

Then Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood approached them and said: “What is this that you are doing?” They said: “O Abu Abdurrahman! These are pebbles to count the number of times we say Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaaha Illal laah and Subhaanallaah.” He said: “Count your sins and I assure you that you are not going to lose anything of your hasanaat. O Ummah of Muhammad, how quick is your destruction! These are the Companions of your Prophet present in great numbers; these are his clothes not worn out yet, and his pots are not broken yet. I swear by the One (i.e. Allaah) in Whose Hands my soul is, either you are following a religion that is better than the Religion of Muhammad or you are opening a door of misguidance.” They said: “O Abu Abdurrahman! We swear by Allaaah that we intend nothing other than good.’’ He said: How many people want good but never reach it! [Sunan Ad-Daarimee 1/68-69] [Also recorded by Imaam Albaanee in As-silsilah As-Saheehah. Number 2005] [Ref 4]

As for Hasan Hasan’s false accusation that mainstream clerics prefer to conceal teachings that propound such punishments [i.e. how ISIS deals with people], this is another vile slander. Indeed, the upright scholars of Islaam do not conceal any affair commanded by Allaah and His Messenger; rather we have already quoted Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah’s brief clarification regarding this affair, which he derived and transmitted from the clarifications of the scholars. Indeed, Hasan Hasan slanders, speculates and defames the scholars of Islaam by accusing them of concealment. That is because the goal of many of these so called researchers on sects and groups is nothing else but a desire for fame and money, therefore they exaggerate, speculate and slander in order to deceive those who read their articles and books.  We remind the slanderer that Allaah (The Most high) said:

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ

[وَيْلٌ –Woe]- meaning, loss and destruction. And it is said [that it means] a valley in Jahannam.

[لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ – to every slanderer and backbiter]; this is his preoccupation and practice (or habit), slander and backbiting -violating the honour of the people, speaking ill of them and defaming them.  Slandering by way of speech and backbiting by way of action through indication (or gesturing). [Ref 5]

Qaadhi Iyaad (rahimahullaah) stated that the word [وَيْلٌ –Woe]  carries some of the following meanings: [a] It is used whilst referring to one who has fallen into destruction. [b] It is used whilst referring to one who deserves destruction. [c] It is used to refer to destruction itself. [d] It is used to refer to the difficulty found in punishment. [e] It is used to refer to grief. [f] It is used to refer to a valley in the hell fire. [Ref 6]

As for Hasan Hasan’s statement that some spoke about ISIS’s intellectualism and the way they spread religion and fight injustice, then indeed we’ll suffice with these narrations from the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi asallam] and the observations of the upright scholars of the Ummah.

The Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said,

“A people will come from the east who recite the Qur’aan, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass through the religion just as an arrow pierces its target and they will not return to it just as the arrow does not return to the bow”. [Al-Bukhaari 7123]

The Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said

“During the last days [i.e. end of time], there will be young people with foolish dreams. They will say the best of statements amongst creation, but they will pass through Islam just as an arrow passes through its game. Their Eemaan will not go beyond their throats”. [Al-Bukhari 4770]

The Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said:

“There will be discord and division in my Ummah and a people will come with beautiful statements but evil deeds. They recite the Qur’aan, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will exit the religion just as an arrow leaves its target and they will not return until the arrows returns to its notch. They are the worst of the creation”. [Abu Dawud 4765]

The Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said:

“Some people from my Ummah will emerge from the east, who recite the Quran but it will not go beyond their throats. Every time a group of them appears it will be cut off. The Messenger repeated this and on the tenth time he said, “Every time a group of them emerges, it will be cut off, until Dajjaaj appears from their remnants”. [Musnad Aḥmad 27767]

Ubaydullaah Ibn Abee Raafi said, “The Khawaarij came out against Ali ibn Abee Taalib [radiyallaahu0-anhu] and said, ‘There is no judgement, except the judgement of Allaah’, so Ali said them, ‘A statement of truth by way of which falsehood is intended’”. [Ṣaḥeeh Muslim 1066]

Imaam Wahb Ibn Munabbih [rahimahullaah] said:

I was acquainted with the early period of Islaam. By Allaah, the Khaawaarij have never had a group except that Allaah caused it to split because of their evil state of affairs. Never did one of them publicize his opinion except that Allah caused his neck to be struck. Never did the Muslim Ummah unite behind a man from the Khawaarij. If Allah allowed the opinion of the Khawaarij to be accepted and established, then the earth would have been corrupted, the carriageways would have been cut off, Hajj to the sacred house of Allah would have ceased and the affair of Islam would have reverted to ignorance until the people seek shelter in the mountains as they did in the time of ignorance. If ten or twenty men among them were to rise, there would not be a man among them except that he claims the khilaafah for himself- every man among them would have ten thousand other men with him and all of them fighting each other, accusing one another of disbelief until the believer fears for himself, his religion, his life, his family, his wealth, and would not know where to travel or who to be with. [Ref 7]

Imaam Ibn Katheer [rahimahullaah] said:

“If they ever gained strength, they would surely corrupt the whole of the earth, Iraq and Syria (Shaam) – they would not leave a baby, male or female, neither a man or a woman, because as far as they are concerned the people have caused corruption, a corruption that cannot be rectified except by mass killing”. [Ref 8]

Imaam At-Tabariy [rahimahullaah] said:

“The Khawarij came to a village and captured a man and his daughter. She said to them, ‘O people of Islaam! Verily, my father is an old man so do not kill him, and I am only a girl. By Allaah, I have never committed immorality and I have never harmed anyone’. They brought her out to murder her whilst she kept on saying, ‘What sin have I committed; what sin have I committed?’ She fainted thereafter and they killed her with their swords”. [Ref 9]

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] said:

“The people of bidah, such as the khawaarij, they initiate an innovation [in the religion], excommunicate the one who opposes them and declare lawful the shedding of his [i.e. opponent’s] blood. These people [i.e. people of bidah] refute the bidah of each other, whilst he [i.e. the refuter] is also an innovator; so he refutes a bidah with another bidah, and falsehood with another falsehood”. [Ref 10]

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] also said:

“The basis of the misguidance of these ones is their belief that the Imaams of guidance and the Jamaa’ah [i.e. the Salafus Saaleh] have exited the (confines) of justice and are misguided. This is the view of those who have abandoned the Sunnah, such as the Raafidah and those similar to them. And that which they consider to be oppression, they hold that it’s disbelief and then innovate rulings for it. These are the three stances -[i.e. they revile the Salaf, declare certain acts as oppression and then innovate rulings against them] – held by those who exit the Sunnah, such as the Harooriyyah [i.e. khawaarij], the raafidah and those similar to them. They isolate some of the fundamental principles of the Islamic Religion until they exit from it (completely), just like an arrow goes through a hunted game”. [Ref 11]

The above is one of the distinguishing characteristics of the Khawaarij, who innovate and then pass rulings against people. The rulers and senior scholars of Saudi are not upon this satanic methodology; however the desire for  fame and a heart filled malice led Hasan Hasan to utter that mighty lie, fraudulent comparison and mighty slander in order to tarnish the image of pure Salafiyyah. Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi [hafidhahullaah] said, “How numerous are those who tell lies today against the carries of Salafiyyah and its callers! They hinder men from the path of Allaah by way of these lies to aid falsehood, spurious (stances, ideas, views etc), bidah, (views, stances, beliefs, ideas etc) that are destructive to the sound creed, methodology and virtuous manners”. [Ref 12]

Imaam Al-Aajuree (rahimahullah) said:

“Neither the scholars of old nor of these times, ever differed about the Khawārij. They regarded them as an evil people who were disobedient to Allāh, the Mighty and Majestic, and His Messenger (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) even though they prayed, fasted and exerted themselves in worship, and all of this was of no benefit to them, even though they were apparent in enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, and that did not benefit them because they are a people who interpret the Qur’aan based on what they desire and they bring extreme difficulty upon the Muslims. Verily Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam); the rightly guided caliphs; the companions and those who followed them in goodness, (Allah’s mercy on them) warned us from them”. [Ref 13]

Finally, we say to Hasan Hasan: It would have been better if you asked the upright scholars of the Sunnah before speaking about sects and groups, but instead you rushed into an affair whose detail clarification can only be acquired by way of learning and sitting in the presence of the upright scholars and students of knowledge. As for speaking about sects and groups based on speculation and conjecture, then indeed this is a dangerous affair – an affair that has led Hasan Hasan to lend an ear to his shaytaan and thus he ascribed Salafiyyah to the vile Jihadists. Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] said:

And when it is case that the true followers of the Prophets [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon them] are people of knowledge and justice, therefore the speech of the people of Islaam and the true adherents to the Prophetic Sunnah regarding the unbelievers and the proponents of religious innovations has to be based on knowledge and justice, and not conjecture and what the soul desires. And due to this the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said: “The judges are three: one will go to Paradise and two to Hell. A man who knows the truth and judges with it will enter paradise; a man who knows the truth but judges with the opposite of it will enter the fire, and a man who judges for the people based on ignorance will enter the fire’’. [Reported by Imaam Abu Dawud 3573]

And when it is the case that the one who judges between the people in [affairs] of wealth, blood [i.e. murder cases, physical violence etc] and honour will enter the hell fire if he is not a just scholar, then how about the one who passes judgements – without knowledge and justice – on creeds, religions, the fundamentals of belief,  divine knowledge and the general fundamental principles related to different subject matters, as is the case with ahlul bidah wal ahwaa [the people of religious innovations and desires]- those who follow the ambiguous doubtful matters, abandon those explicitly clear texts that have transmitted by the Prophets [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon them], cling to affairs that share an ambiguous similarity through mere analogy and opinions,  and then present affairs whose differences can neither be reconciled nor equated, just as is the case with the unbelievers and all the proponents of religious innovation and followers of desires. [Ref  14]

Agencies In Maiduguri [Nigeria] Use Your Brains Before Reporting About Islaam And Those Who Falsely Claim to Represent It!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Agencies in Maiduguri wrote in the Guardian UK:

Indeed, it is very important that these writers either seek knowledge in order to stop speculating or at least refrain from manifesting their repugnant ignorance in this subject matter. Firstly, why did they use the word Militant and attributed it to Islaam, especially whilst addressing the affair of misguided innovators. If indeed this attack was carried out by terrorists from Boko Haram or those upon their ideology, then no mention of Islam should be made in relation to it. The person who calls them Islamist militants is either very ignorant of what Islaam is or he is deliberately seeking to make a haphazard or desperate attempt to distort Islaam’s image. The word Militancy means ‘The use of confrontational or violent methods in support of a political or social cause’.  Then let us let us briefly look at what Islaam says about violence in support of a political or social cause. Indeed, it is well known that terrorists rebel against governments and this is something completely forbidden in Islaam. Imaam al-Barbahaaree (d. 329H) said, “Whoever rebels against a Muslim ruler is one of the Khawaarij, has caused dissent within the Muslims, has contradicted the narrations and has died the death of the days of ignorance”. [Sharhus-Sunnah] [p.42]

The terrorists -Khawaarij -are a group who first appeared in the time of  Alee. They split from his army and began the grave innovation of takfeer [declaring Muslims, rulers or the ruled, in their view guilty of major sins, to be unbelievers]. The Prophet warned against them in many authentic narrations, “They are the dogs of Hellfire”. He also informed us that they would continue to appear until the end of this world, saying, “A group will appear reciting the Qur’aan, it will not pass beyond their throats, every time a group appears it will be cut off, until the Dajjaal appears within them”.

Imaam Al-Barbahaaree (d.329H) also said, “It is not permissible to fight the ruler or rebel against him even if he oppresses. This is due to the saying of the Messenger of Allaah to Aboo Dharr al-Ghifaaree, “Have patience even if he is an Abyssinian slave”, and his saying to the Ansaar, “Have patience until you meet me at the Pool”. There is no fighting against the ruler in the Sunnah. It causes destruction of the Religion and the worldly affairs. [Sharh-us-Sunnah. p. 43]

Abu Bakr al-Aajurree (d.360H) said in ash-Sharee’ah (p. 28): “It is not fitting for the one who sees the uprising of a khaarijee who has revolted against the Imaam [leader], whether he is just or oppressive – so this person has revolted and gathered a group behind him, has pulled out his sword and has made lawful the killing of Muslims – it is not fitting for the one who sees this, that he becomes deceived by this person’s recitation of the Qur’aan, the length of his standing in the prayer, nor his constant fasting or his good and excellent words in knowledge when (it is clear to him that) this person’s way and methodology (madhhab) is that of the Khawaarij”.

It is authentically reported from the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) in the hadeeth of ‘Iyaad ibn Ghunum who said, “The Messenger of Allaah said, ‘Whoever desires to advise the one with authority then he should not do so openly, rather he should take him by the hand and take him into seclusion (and then advise him). And if he accepts (the advice) from him then (he has achieved his objective) and if not, then he has fulfilled that which was a duty upon him’”. [Reported by Ahmad (3/403) and Ibn Abee ‘Aasim (2/521) with a saheeh isnad].

And even when the Muslim rulers are sinful and oppressive, we neither fight them nor incite rebellion. See here: https://www.abukhadeejah.com/the-tyranny-of-the-rulers-a-reason-for-rebellion/

Therefore, after acquainting Agencies in Maiduguri with the above authentic Prophetic texts and the statements of the upright scholars of Islaam, then no sane person would mention Islaam whilst reporting the satanic deeds of the terrorists if it is ascertained that they were the perpetrators; rather whoever deliberately attaches their Militancy to the word Islaam cannot be considered anything else but either a wicked slanderer or an ignorant idiot in this particular subject matter- either such a person should refrain from speaking or he follows his vain desires and thus utters that which manifests his repugnant ignorance, as some of the scholars of Islaam stated, “Silence beautifies a scholar and conceals the [ignorance of] an  ignorant person”. And Imaam Abdullah Ibnul Mubaarak said, “If speech is from silver, then silence is from gold”, meaning, “If speech in obedience to Allaah is from silver, then silence [in order to refrain from] disobedience is gold’’.[Ref 1] Or maybe such a writer or speaker is upon the ideas of King Louis IX, who in the year 1250 was captured whilst on a crusade against the Muslims of Egypt; then he was imprisoned and later released after paying a large ransom. However, whilst in prison he utilised his time to think about ways in which to plot against Islaam and the Muslims, so shaytaan inspired him with the following plots: Firstly: The war in the battlefield between the Christians of the west and the Muslims should be replaced with a war based on ideas and cultural supremacy. Secondly: Prepare the West to corrupt the creed of the Muslims and distort the image of Islaam in the world. [Ref 2]
