Part 7: Brief Rebuttal Against Hasan Hasan – Pseudo Researcher And Pretender In Issues of Salafiyyah!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Indeed, one may ask, “Why respond to this Hasan Hasan?!”

We say, Indeed, by Allaah this man is a vile slanderer who seeks to defile the name of Salafiyyah and the Salafiyyoon. Whilst discussing the satanic methodology of the Khawaarij [ISIS and their Ilk], he sought to associate them with Salafiyyah, such as when he stated, “Ahrar al-Sham, a Salafi-jihadist group close to Jabhat al-Nusra”. The wicked slanderer also said, “The Isis ideology is generally viewed as identical to al-Qaida’s or the Saudi version of Salafism – adherence to fundamental Islamic tenets – and so there does not seem to be a serious effort to study it more closely”.

The above is enough to demonstrate the slanderous tongue of this person and we have already dealt with this in the following articles:

Hasan Hasan said:

“In terms of indoctrination, Isis generally steers clear of exposing new members to teachings that are not derived from sharia texts”.

Comment on the above statement:

Yes indeed, ISIS and all other Khaarijites cling to ambiguities and utilise text in a manner that is tantamount to deviation – a path of deviation that has already been warned against by Allaah [The Exalted] and His Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam]. This is something Hasan Hasan is not capable of elaborating on, even though he is under the illusion that he is one well acquainted with Salafiyyah and thus exposes his repugnant ignorance in this subject matter by affiliating Jihaadis to Salafiyyah. So, what is the path of the people of deviation [ISIS and their Ilk] with regards to utilising Sharee’ah texts? Allaah [The Most High] said:

It is He (Allaah) Who has sent down to you (Muhammad) the book. In it are Aayaat that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking trials….[3:7]

Aaisha (radiyallaahu anhaa) said, “The messenger [sallal.laahu.alayhi wasallam] recited this ayah and said, ‘If you see those who follow thereof that is not entirely clear then they are those whom Allaah has named [as having deviation from the truth]. So beware of them’”. [Saheeh Al-Bukhari. Book of commentary]

The people are divided into two groups in this affair- the first group as Allaah stated are those in whose hearts there is deviation (from the truth), those who turn away from uprightness and harbour corrupt intentions. Their intention is misguidance and their hearts are deviated from the path of guidance. These people only cling to those Aayaat that are not entirely clear which must be referred back to other Aayaat to explain them. And the reason they do this is to seek trials and tribulations for those whom they call to their deviated paths. [Ref 1]

Therefore, it is obligated on a Muslim that he does not rush towards the one who quotes Aayaat and Ahaadeeth to support his views until he is certain that such a person is from the well-known people of knowledge, those worthy of being referred back to. And if not, he will fall into the hands of those people whom Allaah has censured in this Ayah-those who solely cling to the Aayaat that require explanation and elaboration in order to deceive the people, whilst desiring trials, tribulations and false interpretations by way of that. So you see him quoting Aayaat and Ahaadeeth to support his claims, but when such Aayaat and Ahaadeeth are examined you find that he only seeks to establish his claims solely by way of those that require elaboration, but he does not refer them back to the ones that give that explanation and elaboration[Ref 2]

He [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said:

“There will be discord and division in my Ummah and a people will come with beautiful statements but evil deeds. They recite the Qur’aan, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will exit the religion just as an arrow leaves its target and they will not return until the arrows returns to its notch. They are the worst of the creation”.

[Abu Dawud 4765]

He [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said:

“Some people from my Ummah will emerge from the east, who recite the Quran but it will not go beyond their throats. Every time a group of them appears it will be cut off. The Messenger repeated this and on the tenth time he said, “Every time a group of them emerges, it will be cut off, until Dajjaaj appears from their remnants”.

[Musnad Aḥmad 27767]

The Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said,

“A people will come from the east who recite the Qur’aan, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass through the religion just as an arrow pierces its target and they will not return to it just as the arrow does not return to the bow”.

[Al-Bukhaari 7123]

He [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said

“During the last days [i.e. end of time], there will be young people with foolish dreams. They will say the best of statements amongst creation, but they will pass through Islam just as an arrow passes through its game. Their Eemaan will not go beyond their throats”.

[Al-Bukhari 4770]

Ubaydullaah Ibn Abee Raafi said,

“The Khawaarij came out against Ali ibn Abee Taalib [radiyallaahu0-anhu] and said, ‘There is no judgement, except the judgement of Allaah’, so Ali said them, ‘A statement of truth by way of which falsehood is intended’”.

[Ṣaḥeeh Muslim 1066]

Imaam Wahb Ibn Munabbih [rahimahullaah] said:

I was acquainted with the early period of Islaam. By Allaah, the Khaawaarij have never had a group except that Allaah caused it to split because of their evil state of affairs. Never did one of them publicize his opinion except that Allah caused his neck to be struck. Never did the Muslim Ummah unite behind a man from the Khawaarij. If Allah allowed the opinion of the Khawaarij to be accepted and established, then the earth would have been corrupted, the carriageways would have been cut off, Hajj to the sacred house of Allah would have ceased and the affair of Islam would have reverted to ignorance until the people seek shelter in the mountains as they did in the time of ignorance. If ten or twenty men among them were to rise, there would not be a man among them except that he claims the khilaafah for himself- every man among them would have ten thousand other men with him and all of them fighting each other, accusing one another of disbelief until the believer fears for himself, his religion, his life, his family, his wealth, and would not know where to travel or who to be with. [Ref 3]

Imaam Ibn Katheer [rahimahullaah] said:

“If they ever gained strength, they would surely corrupt the whole of the earth, Iraq and Syria (Shaam) – they would not leave a baby, male or female, neither a man or a woman, because as far as they are concerned the people have caused corruption, a corruption that cannot be rectified except by mass killing”.More detail here:

Imaam At-Tabariy [rahimahullaah] said:

“The Khawarij came to a village and captured a man and his daughter. She said to them, ‘O people of Islaam! Verily, my father is an old man so do not kill him, and I am only a girl. By Allaah, I have never committed immorality and I have never harmed anyone’. They brought her out to murder her whilst she kept on saying, ‘What sin have I committed; what sin have I committed?’ She fainted thereafter and they killed her with their swords”. [Ref 4]

Indeed, we have all witnessed the atrocities perpetrated by the present day Khawaarij, just as the above mentioned three Imaams of the Sunnah reported incidents regarding ISIS’s barbaric predecessors; rather the khawaarij do not even spare one another, as Imaam Wahb Ibn Munabbih [rahimahullaah] stated, “If ten or twenty men among them were to rise, there would not be a man among them except that he claims the Caliphate for himself; every man among them would have ten thousand other men with him and all of them fighting each other, accusing one another of disbelief”. Indeed, this is exactly what was happening in Syria.
