No Anxiety – During and After Government Mandated Lockdowns and Social Distancing In The West – Whilst Leaving The Home

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

They made not a just estimate of Allah such as is due to Him. And on the Day of Resurrection the whole of the earth will be grasped by His Hand and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand. Glorified is He, and High is He above all that they associate as partners with Him! [Surah Az-Zumar. Aayah 67]

Ibn Abbaas [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] said, “A Jewish Rabbi came to Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] and said, ‘O Muhammad! We learn that Allaah will put all the heavens on one finger, and the earths on one finger, and the trees on one finger, and the water and the dust on one finger, and all the other created beings on one finger. Then He will say, ‘I am the King’. So the Prophet smiled until his premolar teeth became visible, and that was the confirmation of the speech of the Rabbi. Then he recited:

They made not a just estimate of Allah such as is due to Him (i.e. Allaah)]'”. [Saheeh al-Bukhaari. Number 4811]

Ibn Abbaas said, “This Aayah addresses the disbelievers, but as for those who believe that Allaah is able to do all things, then certainly they give Allaah a just estimate such as is due to Him”. (1)

Some psychiatrists hold the opinion that working at home during the lockdown is one the causes of this anxiety, as well as fear of the threat of getting infected by such and such virus. It stems from the new adaptation of staying at home for most of the past year, the fear of social contact and the avoidance of closed or crowded spaces. Some people are scared to leave their homes – a form of temporary anxiety. Some Weapons of The Believers

[إياك نعبد واياك نستعين – You (Alone (i.e. Allaah) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything]. The statement [إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ – You (Alone) we worship] is an actualization of the statement “There is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah”, and the statement [وإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ – and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything] is an actualization of the statement “There is no power nor might except with Allah”. (2)

Abu Moosaa Al-Ash’aree [may Allaah be pleased with him] said, “The Messenger of Allaah [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said to me, ‘O Abdullaah Bin Qais! Shall I tell you a word which is one of the treasures of Paradise? It is [لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ – There is neither might nor power except with Allaah]'”. [Saheeh Muslim. Number 2704] Al-Harwee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said that Abu Haytham [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Al-Hawl [i.e. might] is Al-Haraka [movement], meaning, there is no movement nor ability except by the Will of Allaah”. And it is said, “There is no might to repel evil nor any power to reach good except by the Will of Allaah”. (3)

Allaah said [The Most High] said: [وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسۡبُهُ ۥۤ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَـٰلِغُ أَمۡرِهِۦ‌ۚ قَدۡ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ۬ قَدۡرً۬ا – And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allah has set a measure for all things]. [Surah At-talaaq. Aayah 3]

Uthmaan [may Allaah be pleased with him] said: I heard Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] saying: Whoever says:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الذي لا يَـضُرُّ مع اسْمِهِ شَيءٌ في الأرضِ ولا في السَّماءِ وهُوَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ

In the Name of Allaah, with Whose Name nothing can be harmed- neither on earth nor in the heaven, and He is the All-Seeing, the All-Hearing”- 3 times. He will not be afflicted with affliction [or a trial] until the morning. And whoever says it three times when he wakes up, he will not be inflicted with an affliction [or trial] until the evening. [Reported by Imaam Abu Daawud and others]. (4)

[بِسْمِ اللَّهِ]- Meaning: In the Name of Allaah I seek refuge. [الذي لا يَـضُرُّ مع اسْمِهِ شَيءٌ في الأرضِ – with Whose Name nothing can be harmed- neither on earth nor in the heaven]- Meaning: The one who seeks refuge in Allaah’s Name, then indeed he will not be harmed by a calamity that occurs in the earth nor that which comes from the heaven.

[وهُوَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ – and He is the All-Seeing the All-Hearing]- Meaning: He [Allaah] hears all the statements of His slaves, The One who knows all their actions and nothing is hidden from Him on the earth nor in the heaven. (5)

A Brief Rebuke Against The Immoral Fear-mongers In The Media – Those Who Make Money Through Fear-mongering About Disease and Turn Some People Into Paranoid Wrecks

Allaah [The Exalted] said that Prophet Ibraaheem [peace be upon him] said to his people:

And how should I fear those whom you associate in worship with Allah (though they can neither benefit nor harm), while you fear not that you have joined in worship with Allah things for which He has not sent down to you any authority. (So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know.” It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided. [Surah Al-An’aam. Aayaat81-82]

Meaning: How can this be justified by way of sound intellect or to the one with sound understanding that one fears what you ascribe as partners to Allaah, even though neither can it benefit nor harm, but you do not fear that you have ascribed things as partners to Allaah for which Allaah has neither sent down any proof nor legislated it?! The person who sets up a deity that has not created anything as a partner to Allaah, [(The Lord and owner of everything, the owner of all the means and causes of harm and benefit); rather such a deity is created, neither can it benefit nor harm itself and those who worship it, neither can it give life nor death, nor raise the dead], prostates to it, humbles himself to it and devoted to it, then this person is more worthy of fearing (evil consequences and destruction) than the one who has not ascribed another deity as a partner to Allaah, but rather he declares that Allaah is one – the only true deity, the one with absolute Lordship, the only one who possesses perfect greatness and authority, the only deity that deserves to be loved, feared and direct one’s hope to. [Ref 6]

[وَڪَيۡفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشۡرَڪۡتُمۡ – Why should I fear that which you ascribe as partners to [Allaah]? – Meaning, when its state is that of inability and cannot benefit;[وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمۡ أَشۡرَكۡتُم بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ يُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ عَلَيۡڪُمۡ سُلۡطَـٰنً۬ا‌ۚ – whilst you do not fear ascribing partners to Allah for which He has not sent down to you any authority], meaning, you do so solely due to following desires!

(So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know?]

Then differentiated the two parties and stated: [ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَلَمۡ يَلۡبِسُوٓاْ إِيمَـٰنَهُم بِظُلۡمٍ أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡأَمۡنُ وَهُم مُّهۡتَدُونَ – It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided] -Meaning, safe from fear, punishment and misery, and they will be guided to the straight path. (7)

We ask Allaah to protect us against the weakness that would give the devils amongst mankind and jinn the upper hand over us Aameen.
