Some Goals of The Righteous During Unavoidable Wars

In The Name of Allaah, The MOst Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

War and Making Preparations For It When Necessary

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Indeed We have sent Our Messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance (justice) that mankind may keep up justice. And We brought forth iron wherein is mighty power (in matters of war), as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allah may test who it is that will help Him (His religion), and His Messengers in the unseen. Verily, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty. [Surah Al-Hadeed. Verse 25]

Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: Allah [The Most High] informs us that He sent the Messengers to guide the creation [i.e. humankind and Jinn] and supported them with clear proofs that clearly manifest the realities – demonstrated the truthfulness of the Messengers and the reality of that which they brought. He revealed the Scripture to them wherein there is guidance and mercy- revealed to them the Balance, which is justice by way of which justice, its foundation and subsidiary branches are known, and so that humankind may keep up justice when they act upon it in their beliefs, manners, deeds, behaviour and in all their affairs. Therefore, all their affairs and circumstances will be established upon righteousness and steadfastness when they act upon that which Allāh revealed in the Scripture and the Balance.

And Allāh [The Most High] informs us that He sent down iron wherein there is mighty power (in matters of war) as well as many benefits for humankind – specifically mentioned its benefits in matters of war and then generalized it in all other matters. Allāh sent down iron for the (purpose) of these beneficial, indispensable matters and affairs that bring about perfection – in specific and in general. All things – except a few – are in need of iron. Indeed, Allāh mentioned it in the context of the favours He has bestowed on the servants, and this necessitates that these benefits are extracted through every way- necessitates education in military expertise and affairs of war, manufacture of weapons and its accessories, maritime transport, land transportation, aircrafts and other things that benefit the servants in their religious and worldly affairs, just as Allāh [The Most High] said:

[ وَأ عدوا لهم ما استطعتم من قوة ومن رباط الخيل ترهبون به عدو هللا وعدوكم- And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery, etc.) to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy]. [Surah Al-Anfaal. Aayah 60]

Allāh said: [حذركم وخذوا – Take every precaution for yourselves]. [Surah An-Nisaa 102]

This addresses the affair of preparing all that is possible of power – mentally, politically, materially and religiously, and taking every precaution against the enemies through every means and way. All the small crafts and big ones, the inventions and defense [fortifications] are included in this generality. (1)

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

[وَلَوۡلَا دَفۡعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعۡضَهُم بِبَعۡضٍ۬ لَّفَسَدَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَلَـٰڪِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِينَ – And if Allah did not check one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief. But Allah is full of Bounty to the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)]. [Surah Al-Baqarah. Aayah 251]

There is no doubt that sometimes war is necessary in order to repel obstinate aggressors; but in our era many ideologues, demagogues, secularists and globalists either initiate wars or proxy wars for nothing else but greed. Neither do they turn their eyes away from the wealth of other nations nor refrain from exploitation regardless whether they have covenants or not; rather their greed does not cease until they either initiate internal strife within a nation or fabricate an excuse to invade, plunder and oppress. The leaders – ideologues, demagogues, neoconservatives and their ilk  – of some nations are well known for organising false flag operations to destablise other nations and initiate regime change when their immoral demands are rejected. Sometimes they fabricate evidence and claim that their opponent is stockpiling weapons of mass destruction, and then they justify -with the help of treacherous devils in the mainstream media – invasions to loot natural resources. Their greatest concern and goal is wealth and the temporary life of this world, so they do not take heed. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Indeed, Allāh will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. But those who disbelieve enjoy themselves (in this world) and eat as the cattle eat (concerned only with food, pleasure and pastime without any consideration for the Hereafter), and the Fire will be an abode for them. [Surah Muhammad. Aayah 12]

And with regards strict adherence to the rules of war as legislated by the Creator, they are foremost in violating them; rather they do not even adhere to their so called Geneva Convention, because they are one of the foremost flag bearers of brutality and oppression – past and present . (see footnote b)

Indeed, the globalists and their armies, the militant vile Nazis and vile Takfeeris are transgressors. Their acts of brutality and transgression in the battlefield is well known. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

[وَقَاتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ الَّذِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ – Fight—in the path of Allāh—those who fight against you but do not transgress the limits (by killing non-combatants). Indeed, Allāh loves not the transgressors]. [Surah Al-Baqarah. Aayah 190]

Ibn Abbas [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] stated regarding this Aayah, “Do not kill women, children, old men, or anyone who approaches you for peace and refrains from fighting, because if you do so then you have transgressed without a doubt”. (2) Indeed, this was not their behaviour when they dropped their atomic bomb in 1945, so their behaviour is not a war stratagem, but rather it is tantamount to brutality and oppression. It is not what is understood from the statement of the noble Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] when he stated, “War is a stratagem (or deceit)”. (3)

Imaam At-Tabari [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “To give a wrong impression – during war – through Mu’aaradah [i.e. making one’s statements or actions obscure (ambiguous) to mislead the opponent about one’s real plans] is allowed”. (4)

Ibnul Arabi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Stratagem during war occurs by way of concealment and giving a wrong impression (to the opponent)”. (5)

The scholars unanimously agree that it is permissible to deceive the disbelievers [i.e. when two armies are engaged in war], but this is not permissible if it violates a covenant or an agreement that was made for a guarantee of safety. (6)

Indeed, what clearly demonstrates an example of the manner in which this stratagem is employed is the hadeeth reported by Ka’b Bin Maalik [may Allaah be pleased with him] who said, “When the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] intended to go on an expedition (against a people with whom there is no treaty and war was declared), he always pretended to be going somewhere else, and he would say, ‘War is stratagem (or deceit)'”. (7)

This was also the manner in which the companions dealt with their adversaries. Abul Fayd [may Allaah have mercy upon him] narrated that Sulaym Ibn Amir [may Allaah have mercy upon him] reported that there was a peace treaty between Mu’aawiyah [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] and the Byzantines. He was marching towards their country and when the covenant came to an end, he would attack them. A man came on a horse, saying, “Allah is Most Great! Allah is Most Great! Let there be fulfilment and not treachery!” Mu’aawiyah sent for him and questioned him about that. He said, “I heard Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] say, “When one has a covenant with people he must not strengthen or loosen it until its term comes to an end or he brings it to an end in agreement with them”. He said, “So Mu’aawiyah returned with the people”. (8)

Also in our era we witness the treachery of some of the globalist regimes, Nazi, Takfeeri and Jihaadist groups, and other transgressors. Some of them transgress against civilians in the name of collateral damage, some transgress against civilians when pursuing their satanic false flag operations (see footnote b), and some – after provoking a more powerful opponent and allying with others who use them for a proxy war- fail to distinguish themselves from civilians, operate among the civilian population, use them as human shields or even engage in activities that cause civilian casualties that can be blamed on the opponent. This is not a war stratagem, rather it is treachery, oppression, brutality and murder. Abdulllah Ibn Umar [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] reported that Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “When Allah gathers the earlier and later generations on the Day of Resurrection, He will raise a banner for every treacherous person and it will be announced that this is the treachery of this person, the son of this person” (9) The people said to Jundub [may Allaah be pleased with him], “Advise us”. He said, “The first thing of the human body to putrefy is the abdomen, so he who can eat nothing but good food (halaal and earned lawfully) should do so, and he who does as much as he can that nothing intervenes between him and paradise by not shedding even a handful of blood [i.e. unlawful killing], should do so”. (10)

Therefore, neither lend an ear nor rush to make a judgement when the mainstream media start pointing a finger at any group during a conflict, because the globalists, Nazis and Takfeeris are all well known for committing atrocities during war and hasten to point a finger at each other; then the group that has greater access to the mainstream media easily controls public opinion, propagate either a false or ambiguous narrative and portray their adversaries as the guilty party without thorough investigation. This necessitates that the sensible person should never rush to make a judgement merely based on an official narrative or mainstream media analysis. Listen here: https://youtu.be/kfHohl6gCJY

Lessons – For Contemporary Opportunists, Warmongers and War Profiteers – to Learn From The Character of Ottoman Sultan Uthmaan (The First)

Uthmaan -(The First) – Gave Advice On His Deathbed: “O my son! Beware of busying yourself with something that Allaah, the Lord of the worlds, has not commanded, and if you are faced with a dilemma in relation to passing a judgement, then take the advice of the scholars of the religion”. “Be generous to the soldiers. Let not shaytaan deceive you by your soldiers and wealth, and beware of turning away from the people of the Sharee’ah (i.e. the scholars)”. “O my son! You know that our goal is to please Allaah, the Lord of the worlds, and that by way of Jihaad the light of our religion spreads to the different regions, so that the pleasure of Allaah – may He be glorified and exalted – manifests”. “O my son! We are not among those who start wars due to a desire to rule and control. We live for Islam and die with Islam. O my son! This is what is worthy of you”. “know O my son! Spreading Islam, guiding people to it, protecting the honour of Muslims and their wealth is a trust, and Allaah – The Almighty – will ask you about it”. “O my son! I am returning to my Lord, and I am proud of you that you will be just to those under your authority and striving in the path of Allaah to spread the religion ordained by Allaah”. “O my son! I advise you to adhere to the scholars of the Ummah continuously, take care of them, honour them a lot and consult them, because they do not command you with anything else except good. O my son! Beware of doing something that does not please Allaah – The Almighty, and if something is difficult for you, ask the scholars of the Sharee’ah, because indeed they will guide you to good”. “know, O my son! Our only path in this world is the path ordained by Allaah and our only goal is to spread the religion ordained by Allaah, and we are neither seekers of status nor worldly things”. “My advice to my children and friends is that they maintain the loftiness of the glorious Islamic religion by carrying on with Jihaad in the path of Allaah. Hold onto the honorable banner of Islam at the top with the most perfect Jihaad. Serve Islaam always, because indeed Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] appointed a weak servant like me to conquer countries. Go with the statement of pure Islamic monotheism to the furthest countries in Jihaad in the path of Allaah”. “O my son! There is none in the worldly life except that he will submit to death and my life span has approached its end by the command of Allaah. I pass on the affairs of this empire to you and I leave you in the protection of Al-Mawlaa [Allaah – The Protector] and be just in all your affairs”. (11)

Sultan Murad’s Supplication Before The Battle of Kosovo

Sultan Murad knew that he was fighting in the cause of Allaah and that victory only comes from Allaah, and that was why he used to supplicate a lot, persisted in asking Allaah, humbled himself to Allaah and relied on Him. One of his devout and sincere supplications demonstrates his knowledge and awareness of his Lord, and the fulfilment of servitude to Allaah.

He said, “O Allaah! O The Most Merciful! O Lord of The heavens and the earth! O The One Who responds to supplication! Do not disgrace me. O The Most Merciful! O The Bestower of Mercy! Respond to the supplication of Your poor servant. Send us rain from the sky and dispel the clouds of darkness, so that we can see our enemy. We are nothing other than Your sinful slaves. Indeed, You are The Bestower of all blessings and favours and we are Your poor dependents. I am nothing other than Your poor slave, one of low status in Your presence. Your are the All-Knower, The Knower of all the unseen, the secrets and everything hidden in the hearts”. “Neither do I have personal goals nor interests for myself, nor am I driven by a desire for the spoils of war. I do not desire except Your Pleasure! O Allaah! O All Knower! O The One Whose Knowledge encompasses every place (and everything)! I give you my soul, so grant me what I hope for. Do not let the Muslims become forsaken in front of the enemy! O Allaah! O The Most Merciful of all those who show mercy! Do not make me the reason behind their demise, but make them victorious! O Lord! I give my soul for you. I have wished and I always want to be martyred, so O my deity, do not show me their plight! O my deity! This time allow me to be martyred for Your sake and for Your pleasure”. (12)

Footnote c: What is a false flag? A false flag is a political or military action carried out with the intention of blaming an opponent for it. Nations have often done this by staging a real or simulated attack on their own side and saying the enemy did it, as a pretext for going to war. The term was first used in the 16th Century to describe how pirates flew the flag of a friendly nation to deceive merchant ships into allowing them to draw near.
