In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
The Fruits of Concocted Creeds and Forbidden Desires
Allaah [The Most High] said:
Have you then considered Al-Lat, and Al-‘Uzza (two idols of the pagan Arabs); and Manat (another idol of the pagan Arabs), the other third? Is it for you the males and for Him the females? That indeed is a division most unfair! They [i.e. these idols and objects you worship besides Allaah] are but names which you have named, you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow but a guess and that which they themselves desire, whereas there has surely come to them the Guidance from their Lord! [Surah An-Najm. Aayaat 19-23]
The First Benefit: Allaah [The Exalted] said: [إِنۡ هِىَ إِلَّآ أَسۡمَآءٌ۬ سَمَّيۡتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بِہَا مِن سُلۡطَـٰنٍ – They [i.e. these idols and objects which you worship besides Allaah] are but names which you have named, you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no authority].
A great benefit is derived from the [above] statement of Allaah, because it distinguishes between truth and falsehood, and between guidance and misguidance. The sound Islamic Creed is what Allaah has ordained and sent down by way of revelation; and regarding the word [أَنزَلَ- sent down], it indicates to us [another] benefit – that the Creeds are two types: The creed ordained and sent down by Allaah as revelation [to the Prophets and Messengers], and the Creeds that are innovated [or concocted] by the people on the earth. Allaah said [in another Aayah] regarding the creed He ordained and sent down:
And truly, this (the Qur’an) is a revelation from the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; upon your heart (O Muhammad) that you may be (one) of the warners; in the plain Arabic language. [Surah Ash-Shu’araa. Aayaat 192- 195]
As for the creeds that are innovated (or concocted) by the people in the earth, they are false because the one and only sound creed is that which Allaah sent down with authority [i.e. infallible and unquestionable proof]. Allaah [The Exalted] said: [إِنِ ٱلۡحُكۡمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِۚ – The command (or the judgement) is for none but Allah]. [Surah Yusuf. Aayah 40]
Every creed that has been innovated [or concocted] is false and rejected. [Allaah informed us that Yusuf (alayhis salaam) said to his fellow inmates in the prison]:
O two companions of the prison! Are many different lords (gods) better or Allah, the One, the Irresistible? You do not worship besides Him but only names which you have named (forged), you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no authority. The command (or the judgement) is for none but Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him (i.e. His Monotheism). [Surah Yusuf. Aayaat 39-40]
Second Benefit Regarding The Statement of Allaah: [إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهۡوَى ٱلۡأَنفُسُۖ – They follow but a guess and that which they themselves desire]. There is a tremendous benefit derived from this, because the one deprived of sound Eemaan and the sound creed sent down as revelation by Allaah- The Lord of the Aalameen, then his affair is one of two: Corruption in Knowledge or Corruption in his Intent– corruption in knowledge occurs as a result of following conjecture and corruption in one’s intent occurs as a result of following desires, or the person may combine both of them.
Another benefit derived from this is that the rectification or well-being of a person cannot be attained except by way of two affairs: Upright [or sound] Knowledge and Upright [or sound] Intent. This is why Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said in Miftaah Daarus Sa’aadah that a person is in need of two things: ‘[Sound] Knowledge by way of which he is [rightly] guided and lofty aspiration by way of which he is urged towards that [sound aspiration]’, because it maybe that a person has beneficial knowledge but not [sound] intent and aspiration. Therefore, one cannot be upright except by way of upright knowledge and intent. Sound knowledge is corrupted through following conjecture and sound intent is corrupted through following the desires of one’s soul.
Allaah [The Exalted] stated about the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam]: [مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمۡ وَمَا غَوَىٰ-Your companion (Muhammad) has neither gone astray nor has erred]. That is because the Daal [misguided person] is one whose knowledge is corrupted and the Ghaawiy [astray one] is the one whose intent is corrupted.
Also, the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] described his four khulafaa [Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan and Ali (radiyallaahu-anhum)] with the words ‘Raashideen and Mahdiyyeen’, because the Raashid [i.e. The one who is steadfast upon the right path and is firmly established upon it] is the opposite of the Ghaawiy [The one who strays from the right path or conduct], and the Mahdee [The one guided to the path of truth and yeilds obediently to it] is the opposite of the Daalun [the misguided one, especially in knowledge and creed]. (1)
Indeed, the unbelievers in our era – just as their predecessors in the pre-Islamic era – held different concocted beliefs, as Imaam Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated in Al-Qawaa’id Al-Arba’ah Principle Number 3:
The Prophet was sent to people who differed from one another in their worship- among them were those who worshipped the angels, those who worshipped the prophets and righteous people, those who worshipped trees and stones, and those who worshipped the sun and the moon. Allaah’s Messenger fought against all of them and did not differentiate between any of them. The proof for this is the statement of Allaah:
[وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ كُلُّهُ لِلَّهِ – And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone]. [Surah Al-Anfaal. Aayah 39] (1) (see footnote a)
One of the affairs related to Creed – in which unbelievers have concocted ideas and speculated – are the events leading to the end of the world. Some of the unbelievers, atheists and secularists have speculated and concocted beliefs regarding events that will lead to total destruction of the human race and call it “The Doomsday Clock – 90 seconds to midnight!” They continue to speculate – based on events – that the earth is drawing closer to a global catastrophe as a result of wars between countries and their nuclear armed supporters. This so called Doomsday Clock was first concocted in 1947 as an imaginative prelude to the end of the world and it is reassessed every January by those who initiated it. Recently some deluded fearmongers have added other issues such as climate change, disease and laboratory to the list of that which they claim can lead to a total destruction of the human race.
Firstly, the atheists and secularists fearmonger and speculated about the end of the world through that which they themselves have corrupted or utilised for corruption in the earth, as Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated, “When these inventions are devoid of sound religion, its mercy and wisdom, it becomes a great disaster for humankind due to the wars that resulted from them, killing, destruction and other affairs related to it. Its regulators (or overseers) and scholars are unable to laydown – for humankind -a stable, just and good life, rather they have not ceased moving from one miserable state to another. This is inevitable and the continuous state of affairs shows that [to be the case]. Therefore all good is found in the sound religion and all evil is found in rejecting and wilfully denying [Allaah, His Messengers, His Laws, Guidance, Commands, Prohibitions etc]” (2)
Secondly, indeed, nothing is to be given consideration regarding the signs of the hour and complete destruction of the human race, except that which is based on authentic divine text. “The Messenger of Allaah [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] and what has been reported from him is the authority to which one must return in order to understand this affair regarding trials and tribulations; therefore, one cannot return to the following affairs: the narrations of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), opinions and dreams, weak and fabricated narrations, analogy, political, economic or socialist analysis, because the narrations regarding the trials and tribulations, the portents of the Hour and what is to take place of strife are from the (affairs) of the Religion, and the Religion is Tawqeefee (i.e. its source can only be established from the divine texts of the Qur’aan and the authentic Sunnah). So, all that is reported from the Prophet with sound chains of transmission concerning (affairs) that are to take place, then it is obligated on every Muslim to have faith in it, whether it appeals to his intellect or not. And this is the reality of one’s testimony that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah. Allaah (The Most High) said:
Nor does he (Muhammad) speak of (his own) desire. It is only an Inspiration that is inspired.[Surah An-Najm. Aayah 3]
And Allaah (The Most High) said: [وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُو – And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it)].[Surah Al-Hashr. Aayah 7]
Umar [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported: One day while we were sitting with Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] there appeared before us a man whose clothes were exceedingly white and whose hair was exceedingly black; no signs of journeying were to be seen on him and none of us knew him. He walked up and sat down by the prophet. Resting his knees against his and placing the palms of his hands on his thighs, he said:”O Muhammad, tell me about Islam”. The messenger of Allah said: “Islam is to testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, to perform the prayers, to pay the zakat, to fast in Ramadan, and to make the pilgrimage to the House if you are able to do so.” He said: “You have spoken rightly’’ And we were amazed at him asking him and saying that he had spoken rightly. He said: “Then tell me about Iman.”He said: ”It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day, and to believe in divine destiny, both the good and the evil thereof.” He said: “You have spoken rightly”. He said: “Then tell me about Ihsan.” He said: “It is to worship Allah as though you are seeing Him, and while you see Him not yet truly He sees you”. He said: “Then tell me about the Hour”. He said: “The one questioned about it knows no better than the questioner.” He said: “Then tell me about its signs.” He said: “That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and that you will see the barefooted, naked, destitute herdsman competing in constructing lofty buildings.” Then he took himself off and I stayed for a time. Then he said: “O Umar, do you know who the questioner was?” I said: “Allah and His messenger know best”. He said: “He was Gibreel (Gabriel), who came to you to teach you your religion”. [Reported by Muslim. Kitaab al-Eemaan. Chapter: Imaan, Islaam and Ihsaan. Hadeeth Number: 8]
The testimony in this hadeeth is the statement of the Prophet, “He was Gibreel, who came to you to teach you your religion”. So, the guiding principle in the above hadeeth is that the Prophet asked a question about the Hour and its circumstances, and he established that it is something included in the affairs of the Religion. The affairs of Fitan and its circumstances, and the affairs of strife are all related to the (portents) of the Hour, therefore, it is included in the Religion and it is not for anyone to speak about it based on his own (opinions, views, analysis or interpretations etc). [Mawqiful Muslim Minal Fitan. Pages 15-18]
Some Narrations Regarding The Signs of The Hour
Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “The Hour will not be established till two big groups fight each other whereupon there will be a great number of casualties on both sides and they will be following one and the same path, till about thirty Dajjals (liars) appear and each one of them will claim that he is Allah’s Messenger, till religious knowledge is taken away (by the death of Religious scholars), earthquakes will increase in number; time will pass quickly, afflictions will appear, Al-Harj, (i.e., killing) will increase, till wealth will be in abundance – so abundant that a wealthy person will worry lest nobody should accept his Zakat, and whenever he will present it to someone, that person (to whom it will be offered) will say, ‘I am not in need of it, till the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings, till a man when passing by a grave of someone will say, ‘Would that I were in his place’ and till the sun rises from the West. So when the sun will rise and the people will see it (rising from the West) they will all believe (accept Islam) but that will be the time when: (as Allah said) [لاَ يَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ، أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا – no good will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before, nor earned good (by performing deeds of righteousness) through his Faith]. And the Hour will be established while two men spreading a garment in front of them but they will not be able to sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a man has milked his she-camel and has taken away the milk but he will not be able to drink it; and the Hour will be established before a man repairing a tank (for his livestock) is able to water (his animals) in it; and the Hour will be established when a person has raised a morsel (of food) to his mouth but will not be able to eat it.” [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari. Hadeeth Number 7121]
Abu Zaid -Amr Bin Akhtab [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported: Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] led us in the dawn prayer and then mounted the pulpit and addressed us until it was (time for the) noon prayer. He then came down the pulpit and observed prayer and then again mounted the pulpit and again addressed us until it was time for the ‘Asr prayer. He then again came down and observed the prayer and again mounted the pulpit and addressed us until the sun was set and he informed (about) everything (pertaining to turmoil) that lay hidden in the past and what lies in (the womb) of) the future and the most learned amongst us is one who remembers them well. [ Saheeh Muslim 2892]
Imaam Muslim said: Chapter: The Conquest Of Constantinople, The Emergence Of The Dajjal And The Descent Of ‘Isa Bin Maryam [peace be upon him]: Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said: The Last Hour would not come until the Romans would land at al-A’maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people of the earth at that time will come from Medina (to counteract them). When they will arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans would say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them; and the Muslims would say: Nay, by Allah, we would never get aside from you and from our brethren that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army would run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third (part of the army) which would be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah’s eye, would be killed and the third who would never be put to trial would win and they would be conquerors of Constantinople. And as they would be busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, the Satan would cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your family. They would then come out, but it would be of no avail. And when they would come to Syria, he would come out while they would be still preparing themselves for battle drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus (peace be upon him) son of Mary would descend and would lead them. When the enemy of Allah would see him, it would (disappear) just as the salt dissolves itself in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely, but Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ). [Saheeh Muslim. 2897]
Regarding the fall of the Byzantine capital Constantinople at the hands of Sultan Muhammad Al-Faatih (may Allah have mercy upon him), this is not the conquest of Constantinople that is intended in the Ahaadeeth. Al-Allaamah Hamood at-Tuwayjiree [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated, “I say, indeed Constantinople was conquered in the year 857 AH at the hands of the Uthmaanee Turkman Sultan Muhammad Al-Faatih [he was referred to as Al-Faatih (the Conqueror) due to his conquest of Constantinople], and Constantinople has not ceased to be in the hands of the Utjhmaaniyyeen up until this era of ours at the end of the fourteenth century after the Hijrah. This conquest is not the one mentioned in the Prophetic reports which have already been mentioned (in this discourse), because indeed that one will only occur after the great combat and a short period before the Dajjaal appears, as it has already been made known in a number of Prophetic reports in this chapter, as will also be stated in the two Prophetic reports (transmitted) by Mu’aadh and Abdullaah Ibn Bishr [may Allaah be pleased with both of them]. Its conquest [i.e. Constantinople] will occur together with Tasbeeh [i.e. utterence of the statement ‘Subhaan Allaah’ – Glory be to Allaah and free is He from all imperfections], Tahleel (i.e. the statement Laa Ilaaha Illal laah – There is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah] and Takbeer [i.e. the statement Allaahu Akbar- allaah is the Greaatest], but not with many people (i.e. army men) and (many) weaponerys, as clearly mentioned in more than one hadeeth in this chapter. Its conquest will occur at the hands of the Arabs and not at the hands of the Turks, and this is proven in his (i.e. the the Prophet – peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) statement reported in the hadeeth that was transmitted by Amr Bin Awf [may Allaah be pleased with him] that “Thereafter, (the forceful, firm, strong etc youth of the Muslims) of the Arabian Peninsula – who whilst striving in the path of Allaah do not fear the blame of the blamers – will come out to them, until Allaah grants them the conquest of Constantinople and Rome with Tasbeeh and Takbeer”. And in the hadeeth transmitted by Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] in Saheeh Muslim, (he stated), “Then an army from Madeenah will come out to them who will be the best of the people of the entire Earth at that time”. [See It’haaf Al-Jamaa’ah Bimaa Jaa’a Fil Fitan Wal-Malaahim Wa Ashraat As-Saa’ah. Vol 1. pages 403-404]
Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] narrated that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, son of Mary (Jesus) will shortly descend amongst you people (Muslims) as a just ruler and will break the Cross and kill the pig and abolish the Jizya (a tax taken from the non-Muslims, who are in the protection, of the Muslim government). Then there will be abundance of money and nobody will accept charitable gifts”. [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari 2222]
Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] narrated that Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “What would you do when the son of Mary would descend amongst you and would lead you as one amongst you? Ibn Abi Dhi’b on the authority of Abu Huraira narrated: Your leader amongst you. Ibn Abi Dhi’b said: Do you know what the words:” He would lead as one amongst you” mean? I said: Explain these to me. He said: He would lead you according to the Book of your: Lord (hallowed be He and most exalted) and the Sunnah of your Messenger”. [Saheeh Muslim 155]
Hudhaifah [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] stood before us one day and he did not leave anything unsaid (that he had to say) at that very spot which would happen (in the shape of turmoil) up to the Last Hour. Those who had to remember them preserved them in their minds and those who could not remember them forgot them. My friends knew them and there are certain things which slip out of my mind, but I recapitulate them when anyone makes a mention of them just as a person is lost from one’s mind but is recalled to him on seeing his face. [Saheeh Muslim 2891]
Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said: The Last Hour would not come before the Euphrates uncovers a mountain of gold, for which people would fight. Ninety-nine out of each one hundred would die but every man amongst them would say that perhaps he would be the one who would be saved (and thus possess this gold). [Saheeh Muslim 2894]
The Beast
Allaah stated: [وَإِذَا وَقَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَيۡہِمۡ أَخۡرَجۡنَا لَهُمۡ دَآبَّةً۬ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ كَانُواْ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا لَا يُوقِنُونَ – And when the Word (of torment) is fulfilled against them, We shall bring out from the earth a beast to them, which will speak to them because mankind believed not with certainty in Our Ayat (Verses of the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad), Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] commented: “Meaning, when the time arrives for the establishment of the warning, which Allah has determined its time, [أَخۡرَجۡنَا لَهُمۡ دَآبَّةً۬ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ – We shall bring out from the earth a beast to them], or one of the beasts of the earth, and not the heavens. This beast [تُكَلِّمُهُمۡ – will speak to them]- Meaning, it will speak to the people that they did not believed with certainty in Our (i.e. Allaah’s) signs, because of the weakness of people’s knowledge and certainty regarding Allah’s signs. So, Allaah make this beast to appear as one of His amazing signs to manifest to the people regarding that which they doubted. This beast is the well-known beast that will appear at the end of time, and it will be one of the (major) signs regarding the arrival of the Day of Judgement, as it has been mentioned in many Prophetic narrations. [Tafseer as-Sadi]
Abu Umaamah [may Allaah be pleased with him] narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “The beast will emerge and strike the people on their noses, then their numbers will increase among you until a man will buy a camel and they will say, ‘Who did you buy it from?’ and he will say, ‘I bought it from one of those with a mark on their noses’”. [Reported by Imaam Ahmad 22362 and declared authentic by Imaam Al Albaanee in As-Sisilah As-Saheehah. Number 322]
Anas [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “The Hour will not occur until ‘Allah, Allah’ is not said on earth.” [Saheeh Muslim 148]
Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] said that Alalah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “When three things appear, faith will not benefit one who has not previously believed or has derived no good from his faith: the rising of the sun in its place of setting, the Dajjal, and the beast of the earth”. [Saheeh Muslim. Number 158]
Indeed, the atheists and secularists seek to divert attention from the purpose of life on this earth, speculate about what will lead to its total destruction, dupe the gullible and their blind followers regarding the real events that serve as a warning to the closeness of the Day of Judgement and thus divert them from preparing for the meeting with their Creator. And with regards to taking care of our surroundings, then indeed, there is no doubt that the Creator has revealed to His final Messenger that which teaches us how to behave on earth; however, it is us (humankind) that corrupt the pure things we have been given and engage in transgression. Read here: The Relationship Between Sinning And Our Circumstances: https://salaficentre.com/2019/12/04/the-relationship-between-sinning-and-ones-circumstances/
Therefore, after being absolutely certain that nothing can lead to the end of this world, except that which the Creator has conveyed to His final Messenger, the sensible person strives to obey the Creator and prepare for the Afterlife. Allaah [ The Exalted] said:
Verily, with Us are fetters (to bind them), and a raging Fire. And a food that chokes, and a painful torment. On the Day when the earth and the mountains will be in violent shake, and the mountains will be a heap of sand poured out and flowing down. [Surah Al-Muzzammil. Aayaat 12-14]
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
Nay! When the earth is ground to powder, and your Lord comes with the angels in rows, and Hell will be brought near that Day. On that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance (then) avail him? He will say: “Alas! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my life!” So on that Day, none will punish as He will punish. And none will bind as He will bind. (It will be said to the pious): “O (you) the one in (complete) rest and satisfaction! “Come back to your Lord, Well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing unto Him! “Enter you, then, among My honoured slaves, and enter you My Paradise!” [Surah Al-Fajr. Aayaat 21-30]
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
And listen on the Day when the caller will call from a near place; The Day when they will hear As-Saihah (shout, etc.) in truth, that will be the Day of coming out (from the graves i.e. the Day of Resurrection). Verily, We it is Who give life and cause death; and to Us is the final return; on the Day when the earth shall be cleft, from off them, (they will come out) hastening forth. That will be a gathering, quite easy for Us. We know of best what they say; and you (O Muhammad ) are not a tyrant over them (to force them to Belief). But warn by the Qur’an, him who fears My Threat. [Surah Qaaf. Aayaat 41-45]
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. And there can be no denying of its befalling. It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; when the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. And the mountains will be powdered to dust. So that they will become floating dust particles. And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). These will be those nearest to Allah. In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). [Surah Al-Waaqi’ah. Aayaat 1-12]
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
And (remember) the Day on which the Trumpet will be blown and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth, will be terrified except him whom Allah will (exempt). And all shall come to Him humbled. And you will see the mountains and think them solid, but they shall pass away as the passing away of the clouds. The Work of Allah, Who perfected all things, verily! He is Well-Acquainted with what you do. Whoever brings a good deed (i.e. Belief in the Oneness of Allah along with every deed of righteousness), will have better than its worth, and they will be safe from the terror on that Day. And whoever brings an evil (deed) (i.e. Shirk polytheism, disbelief in the Oneness of Allah and every evil sinful deed), they will be cast down (prone) on their faces in the Fire. (And it will be said to them) “Are you being recompensed anything except what you used to do?” [Surah An-Naml. Aayaat 87-90]
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
And the Trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will swoon away, except him whom Allah will. Then it will blown a second time and behold, they will be standing, looking on (waiting). And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord (Allah, when He will come to judge among men) and the Book will be placed (open) and the Prophets and the witnesses will be brought forward, and it will be judged between them with truth, and they will not be wronged. And each person will be paid in full of what he did; and He is Best Aware of what they do. [Surah Az-Zumar. Aayaat 68-70]
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
So think not that Allah will fail to keep His Promise to His Messengers. Certainly, Allah is All-Mighty, – All-Able of Retribution. On the Day when the earth will be changed to another earth and so will be the heavens, and they (all creatures) will appear before Allah, the One, the Irresistible. And you will see the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism, polytheists, disobedient to Allah, etc.) that Day bound together in fetters; [Muqarranun in fetters; mean:- with their hands and feet tied to their necks with chains.] Their garments will be of pitch, and fire will cover their faces. That Allah may requite each person according to what he has earned. Truly, Allah is Swift at reckoning. This (Qur’an) is a Message for mankind (and a clear proof against them), in order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is the only One Ilah (God – Allah) – (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), and that men of understanding may take heed. [Surah Ibraaheem. Aayaat 47-52]
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one), and the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing; then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall; and the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up, and the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. [Surah Al-Haaqqah. Aayaat 13-18]
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
When the heaven is split asunder, and listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; and when the earth is stretched forth; and has cast out all that was in it and became empty; and listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did). Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, he surely will receive an easy reckoning, and will return to his family in joy! But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, he will invoke (his) destruction, and shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning. Verily, he was among his people in joy! Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)! Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! [Surah al-Inshiqaaq. Aayaat 1-15]
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake. And when the earth throws out its burdens, and man will say: “What is the matter with it?” That Day it will declare its information (about all what happened over it of good or evil). Because your Lord has inspired it. That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds. So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. [Surah Az-Zalzalah]
Indeed, this is what we should give importance instead of lending an ear to the concocted beliefs of the secularists. We ask Allaah
O Allah! By Your Knowledge of the unseen and by Your Power over creation, let me live if life is good for me, and let me die if death is good for me; O Allah! I ask You to grant me (the blessing of having) fear of You in private and public; And I ask you (to make me utter) a statement of truth in times of contentment and anger; And I ask You for moderation when in a state of wealth and poverty; And I ask you for blessings that never ceases; And I ask You for the coolness of my eye that never ends; And I ask You (to make me pleased) after (Your) decree; Aand I ask You for a life of (ease, comfort, tranquility etc) after death; I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face (i.e. in the Hereafter) and yearning to meet You without any harm and misleading trials (coming upon me); O Allah! Adorn us with the adornment of Eemaan, and make us (from those who are) guided and guiding (others). (3)
O Allah! Rectify my religion for me, which is the safeguard of my affairs; rectify my worldly [affairs], wherein is my livelihood; and rectify my Afterlife to which is my return; and make life for me [as a means of] increase in every good and make death for me as a rest from every evil. (4)
