In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:
يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِـُٔوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى ٱللَّهُ إِلَّآ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُۥ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

They (the unbelievers) want to extinguish Allah’s Light (with which Muhammad has been sent) with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the Kafirun (disbelievers) hate (it). [Surah At-Tawbah. Ayah 32]

They want to nullify the religion ordained by Allah with their tongues and (seek to) belie it. Al-Kalbi [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Light (in this Ayah means) the Qur’an”. (1) Al-Hasan [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Allah’s Light (in this Ayah means) the Qur’an and Islam”. (2)

By their denial, the unbelievers want to nullify the religion of Islam and nullify Allah’s Hujaj and Baraaheen (footnote a) regarding the pure monotheism that Muhammad [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] conveyed. However, Allah will not allow except that the religion He has ordained is established and made manifest, and make His statement (none has the right to be worshipped except Allah) uppermost, even though the wilful deniers hate it. (3)

Footnote a: Hujaj [i.e. clear and overwhelming proofs that defeats all the obstinate and stubborn ones] and Buraaheen [i.e. proofs that clarify and distinguish between truth and falsehood in everything].
