Refrain From Beautifying Shirk, Bidah and Misguidance- [Admonition to Some Journalists at Turkish Newspaper (Daily Sabah) Due to Two Reports From Kashmir]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

A Warning Against Calling to Evil and Its Consequences In The Next Life

Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said:

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡىِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَنَڪۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُواْ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمۡۚ وَكُلَّ شَىۡءٍ أَحۡصَيۡنَـٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍ۬ مُّبِينٍ۬

Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. [Surah Yaa Seen. Verse 12]

[إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡىِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ – Verily, We give life to the dead]- Meaning, We’ll resurrect them after their death to recompense them for their deeds (1). [وَنَڪۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُواْ – and We record that which they send before (them)] – Meaning, good and evil, the deeds they did during their lifetime (2).

[وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمۡۚ – and their traces]. Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “That which they initiated of good or evil and thus they were followed by others after their death. (3)

Imaam Al-Aloosee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “That which they left behind of good deeds, such as the knowledge they taught people, books they wrote, land they gave as endowment or a building they built in the path of Allaah and other good deeds, or sins such as establishment of laws (legislation, rules, regulations etc) that are tantamount to oppression and transgression, or setting up principles amongst the people that are tantamount to evil and corruption, and the evil Funoon [i.e. haraam professions, crafts etc] which they initiated and were revived after them by the corrupt people. (4)

Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “It is the good and evil outcomes about which they were the cause of its occurrence during their life time and after their death, and those deeds that emanated from their statements, deeds and circumstances. Every good performed by one of the people due to the knowledge of the servant, his teaching and advice, or through enjoying good and forbidding evil, or knowledge he transmitted to the learners, or in a book which is benefitted from during his life and after his death, or a good deed, such as Salaah, Zakaat, Sadaqah or kindness based on which he was followed, or built a masjid or a place which the people benefit from and what is similar, it will be from the good outcomes that are written for him, and likewise are the evil outcomes. The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, ‘Whoever starts a good thing [i.e. something other than bidah and sin] and is followed by others, he will have his own reward and a reward equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their reward in any way. Whoever starts a bad thing [i.e. a bidah, sin or something that opposes Islaam] and is followed by others, will bear the burden of his own sin and a burden equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their burden in any way’. [Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no. 2675] This subject matter makes clear to you the lofty station of calling to the path of Allaah, guidance to His path through every means and path that leads to it; and the lowly status of the caller to evil and a leader in it, and that he is the most degraded human being, one who has committed the severest crime and the greatest sin. Observations: Shiite Muslim girl, lighting candles at the graves, Shab-e-Barat….

First, may Allaah guide this little girl to the path of the Salafus Saaleh [pious predecessors] Aameen, because indeed she does not know anything else other than what she has been taught and the deeds she witnesses in her community. This emphasizes the great importance of teaching children Tawheed  [Pure Islamic Monotheism] and the authentic Sunnah.  Al-Allaamah Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Humayd [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: Allaah [Glorified and Exalted be He] said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَّا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ

O you who believe! Protect yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do that which they are commanded. [Soorah Tahreem: Ayah: 6]

The meaning of “O you who believe”: Some ome of the pious predecessors said that if you hear the statement of Allaah “O you who believe”, then listen attentively because it is either something good you are being commanded or something forbidden you are being prohibited from.

And regarding the statement “Protect yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell)”, this cannot be achieved except by fulfilling the commandments of Allaah and keeping away from what He has forbidden. This is what the statement “Protect yourselves”’ means- by fulfilling the rights of Shahaadah ‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah’, worshipping Allaah (alone), acquainting yourself with Pure Islamic Monotheism and free the Shahaadah from all that either negates it or that which negates the obligations it necessitates, free the Shahaadah from innovations in religious affairs which are a belittlement of it and the sins that diminishes its worth. Likewise, the statement “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah” has rights, and that is to fulfil what the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah] commanded, keep away from everything he has forbidden and that your worship is carried out in accordance with what the Messenger legislated. (6)

Second, the journalists who posted the picture referred to the girl as a ‘Shiiite Muslim girl’. There’s no doubt that this girl, even if she has reached the age of puberty does not know except what she has been taught by misguided elders, therefore what we’ll present here does not apply to her. As for the term Shiite Muslim or Shiite Islam, then indeed this requires clarification, but take note that we do not include the girl in this clarification. Read here: https://salaficentre.com/2020/01/04/shia-muslim-shia-islaam-myth-mirage-or-reality/

Third, lighting candles at graves! This practice has no basis in Islam just as Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah preserve him] stated, “It is not permissible to build over graves – neither mosques nor domes, nor other than them, and also they are not to be plastered, because indeed this is one of the means to Shirk – one of the means, because it becomes exalted, invoked besides Allaah and help sought from it, and thus shirk occurs. Building over graves- placing domes, mosques and lamps over them are from the means to Shirk, and this is why the Prophet warned against it and cursed those who do so. It is obligated on the Muslims to be warned against this and that they do not build over a grave – neither a Masjid nor other than it, neither a dome nor plastered, neither place lamps on them nor shrouded. All this is not permissible, rather it is from the means to Shirk. see here: 1_1_shrines

As for visiting graves, see here: https://www.abukhadeejah.com/visiting-graves-and-the-ruling-on-women-visiting-graves/

Finally, as for what they call Shab-e-Barat and the religious innovations attached to it in the month of Shabaan, read here:  https://salaficentre.com/2016/05/22/reminder-few-issues-related-to-the-month-of-shabaan-its-middle-15th-day-and-night-by-shaikh-uthaymeen-rahimahullaah/

Also take note that many Muslims who commit acts of shirk at the graves, shrines and tombs are very ignorant, therefore one must take into consideration what the scholars have clarified regarding “Excuse of Ignorance”. See here: https://www.manhaj.com/manhaj/articles/obkwf-takfir-and-the-excuse-of-ignorance-shaykh-saalih-al-fawzaan.cfm – parts 1-5

May Allaah guide these journalists and protect all of us from misguidance Aameen.

How Do We Approach The Affair of The Nations of The Past

Allaah [The Most High] said:

قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَنٌ فَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Many similar mishaps [troubles, problems] of life were faced by nations that have passed away before you, so travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who disbelieved. [3:137]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Indeed, there were nations like yourselves before you, so look to their evil end. You have to know that the reason behind their evil end was due to their disbelief in the revelations of Allaah and disbelief in Allaah’s Messengers. They were the forefathers and you are the descendants. The main affair that connects you to each other is your disbelief and the ruling on that disbelief is destruction”. (1)

Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “If it is said, “What is the benefit in narrating to us the stories of the destroyed nations despite the fact that this Ummah will not be completely destroyed in a manner similar to the destruction of the previous nations before it?” The Answer: Indeed, this has two benefits: The first benefit is a clarification of Allaah’s blessings upon us that the occurrence of a complete destruction is removed from us, and that were it not for Allaah’s Benevolence we would have been deserving of it. Second, the likeness of the punishment they received may occur in the hereafter for the one who did what they did, if punishment was not received in the worldly life. And this may be understood from the statement of Allaah: “Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the population of towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful and severe. Indeed in that (there) is a sure lesson for those who fear the torment of the Hereafter.” So what is apparent from this Aayah is that what is similar to the punishment they received will happen in the Hereafter, and Allaah knows best. (2)

Reviving The Traditions of The Disbelievers

The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “The most hated people to Allaah are three: a person who deviates from right conduct [i.e. an evil doer] in the Haram [sanctuaries of Makkah and Medeenah], a person who seeks that the traditions of the Pre-lslamic Period of Ignorance should remain in Islam and a person who seeks to shed somebody’s blood without any right”. [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari 6882]

Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “These three deeds are from the major sins. The first major sin is Al-Ilhaad Fil Haram [i.e. deviating from right conduct in the sanctuaries of Makkah and Madeenah]. Ilhaad means to deviate from the truth (and enter into) falsehood, and supporting falsehood in order to obliterate the truth. Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] censured the Mulhideen Fil Haram [i.e. those who deviate from right conduction in the sanctuaries of Makkah and Madeenah], saying:

[وَمَن يُرِدۡ فِيهِ بِإِلۡحَادِۭ بِظُلۡمٍ۬ نُّذِقۡهُ مِنۡ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ۬ – And whoever intends evil actions therein or to do wrong (i.e. practice polytheism and leave Islamic Monotheism), We shall make him taste a painful torment]. [Surah Al-Hajj. Aayah 25]
Allaah promised them (a severe punishment) due to the mere fact they intend evil actions therein [i.e. in the sanctuaries of Makkah and Madeenah], then how about perpetrating such deed! Indeed that would be a more severe sin, a more frightening state and a more severe punishment. This is a proof regarding the virtue of the sanctuaries of the Haram- that it is a sacred land chosen by Allaah and He made it a place where virtuous acts of worship are performed, (such as) the Hajj which is one of the pillars of Islaam. Allaah gave this place virtues that cannot be enumerated, such as the increased reward attached to good deeds [performed in Makkah and Madeenah] and gave this land virtue over all other lands of the earth.

The second major sin is committed by the person who wants that the pre-Islamic traditions should remain in Islaam, as if he gives precedence to the pre-Islamic traditions – the evil customs that were followed during that period and the misguided deeds- over the Islamic practices, Eemaan, Ihsaan, their virtue and virtue of the Sunnah. He is guilty of committing a major sin, and this includes giving precedence to religious innovations over (the authentic) Sunnah that guides to the straight path.

The third major sin is to seek to shed somebody’s blood without any right – meaning: seeking to shed the blood of a Muslim without right and doing so based on oppression and animosity. Shedding the blood of a Muslim is a great crime, just as the Prophet said, “The extinction of the whole world is less significant to Allaah than killing a Muslim [i.e. unlawfully]”. And he [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] stated regarding the rights of the Ka’bah, “How great you are and how great is your sanctity! But the sanctity of a believer is greater than yours in the sight of Allaah”. It is not permissible to transgress against the Muslims and the believers – males and females- in the sanctuaries of [Makkah and Madeenah] or in other places due to the great sin and punishment which results from that. (3)

Praiseworthy And Blameworthy Rejoicing

Allaah [The Most High] said:

قُلۡ بِفَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِرَحۡمَتِهِۦ فَبِذَٲلِكَ فَلۡيَفۡرَحُواْ هُوَ خَيۡرٌ۬ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُونَ

Say: “In the Bounty of Allah, and in His Mercy; -therein let them rejoice.” That is better than what (the wealth) they amass.’’ [Surah Yonus. Verse 58]

[قُلۡ بِفَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ -Say: In the Bounty of Allaah]- Meaning: the Qur’aan, which is the greatest blessing and favour, and a conferment by way of which Allaah preferred His [believing] slaves [over others]; [وَبِرَحۡمَتِهِ -And in His Mercy]-Meaning: The Religion [of Islaam], Eemaan, worship of Allaah, love of Him, and knowledge and awareness of Him; [فَلۡيَفۡرَحُواْ- Therein let them rejoice]; [هُوَ خَيۡرٌ۬ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُونَ – That is better than what they amass] of the enjoyable things of the worldly life and its pleasures.

The religion- the bounty that will bring about happiness in this life and the next- cannot be compared to all that is in this worldly life, [because these things of the worldly life] will vanish and come to an end very soon. Rather Allaah [The Most High] commanded [us] to rejoice in His Bounty and Mercy because it is that which will make the soul happy, thankful to Allaah, gives it a strong desire for an increase in knowledge and Eemaan. This is a praiseworthy rejoicing as opposed to rejoicing in the desires of this worldly life and its pleasures, or rejoicing in falsehood, for indeed that is blameworthy, as Allaah [The Most High] stated about a group amongst the people of Qaaroon that they said to him: [لَا تَفۡرَحۡ‌ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلۡفَرِحِينَ- Do not be glad (with ungratefulness to Allah’s Favours). Verily! Allah likes not those who are glad (with ungratefulness to Allah’s Favours)] [Soorah Al-Qasas: Ayah 76].

And as Allaah [The Most High] said about those who rejoiced in what they possessed of falsehood in opposition to that which the Messengers came with: [فَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَرِحُواْ بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ -Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things)] [Soorah Ghaafir: Ayah 83] (4)

We ask Allaah to protect us from misguidance.

Allegations of Sexual Abuse In Educational Institutions! [A Mention of Some Robust Precautions of The Divine Legislation]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Once again we hear allegations of sexual abuse, but many amongst the writers who influence public opinion refuse to submit to their Lord and thus they are turned away from guiding their people to the robust legislated divine precautions that are found in the final divine revelation. They tirelessly seek for solutions elsewhere, even though the final revelation sent to humankind contains everything that will solve our problems. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ يَہۡدِى لِلَّتِى هِىَ أَقۡوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعۡمَلُونَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرً۬ا كَبِيرً۬ا

Verily, this Quran guides to that which is most just and right and gives glad tidings to the believers (in the Oneness of Allah and His Messenger, Muhammad) who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a great reward (Paradise). [Surah Al-Israa. Verse 9]

The Consequences – In This Life and The Next – of Turning Away From Allaah’s Guidance

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

وَمَن يَعۡشُ عَن ذِكۡرِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ نُقَيِّضۡ لَهُ ۥ شَيۡطَـٰنً۬ا فَهُوَ لَهُ ۥ قَرِينٌ۬
وَإِنَّہُمۡ لَيَصُدُّونَہُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَيَحۡسَبُونَ أَنَّہُم مُّهۡتَدُونَ

And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him. And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allah), but they think that they are guided aright! [Surah Az-Zukhruf. Verses 36-37]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Quran nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection. He will say:”O my Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, while I had sight (before).” (Allah) will say: “Like this, Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) came unto you, but you disregarded them (i.e. you left them, did not think deeply in them, and you turned away from them), and so this Day, you will be neglected (in the Hell-fire, away from Allah’s Mercy).” And thus do We requite him who transgresses beyond bounds [i.e. commits the great sins and disobeys his Lord (Allah) and believes not in His Messengers, and His revealed Books, like this Quran, etc.], and believes not in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of his Lord, and the torment of the Hereafter is far more severe and more lasting. [Surah Taa Haa. Verses 124-127]

The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “My example, and the example of what I have been sent with is that of a man who came to some people and said, O people! I have seen the enemy’s army with my own eyes and I am a plain warner; so protect yourselves!’ Then a group of his people obeyed him and fled at night proceeding stealthily till they were safe, while another group of them disbelieved him and stayed at their places till morning when the army came upon them and killed and ruined them completely. So this is the example of that person who obeys me and follows that truth which I have brought (the Qur’aan and the Sunnah), and the example of the one who disobeys me and disbelieves the Truth I have brought”. (a)

Some Robust Safeguards

True and sincere obedience to Allaah and the Messenger is The First Solid Foundation

Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said:

Is it then he, who laid the foundation of his building on piety to Allah and His Good Pleasure, better, or he who laid the foundation of his building on an undetermined brink of a precipice ready to crumble down, so that it crumbled to pieces with him into the Fire of Hell. And Allah guides not the people who are the wrong doers. [Surah At-Tawbah. Verse 109]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Whoever wants his building to be elevated, then it is incumbent upon him to strengthen and fortify its foundation, because the elevation of the building is based on the firmness and fortification of its foundation. Deeds are a building and (sound) belief (in Allaah and the Messenger) is their foundation. If the foundation is strong, it carries and elevates the building, and if a part of the building is damaged, it is easy for it to bear the (damage); but if the foundation is not firm, then neither will the building be elevated nor will it be firm. And if something from the foundation is damaged, the building will either collapse or close to that. Therefore, the duty of a knowledgeable person is that he makes the foundation sound and fortified. As for the ignorant person, he elevates(the building) whilst building upon other than a (strong) foundation, so his building does not remain. The foundation of deeds is like the physical strength of a person- if the strength is vigorous, the body will be able to withstand burden and repel many harmful things; but if it is weak, the body’s ability to withstand burden is weakened and harm quickly overcomes the person. Therefore, support your building (i.e. your actions and deeds) with the foundation of (sound belief in Allaah and the Messenger) because if something from the top of your building decays and falls down, then it would be much easier for the (building) to bear (the damage), rather than the destruction of the foundation. This foundation is based on two affairs: First, sound knowledge and awareness of Allaah, His Commandments, names and attributes. Second, complete submission to Allaah alone (i.e. by worshipping Him alone) and (unconditional obedience to) His Messenger alone. This is the firmest foundation upon which the slave establishes his building [i.e. his actions and deeds]. Therefore, one solidifies the foundation, preserves its strength and carries on being enthusiastic and thus what is desired (i.e. success in this life and the next) is attained (by the will of Allaah). (1)

Command to Believing Men to Lower Their Gaze

Al-Allaamah Saaleh al Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] said, “Safety from the fitnah of women is by way of lowering the gaze, distancing oneself from paying attention to them and following them. Allaah [The Most High] said: [ قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَزْكَىٰ لَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ – Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts from (illegal sexual acts). That is purer for them. Verily, Allaah is All-Aware of what you do]. [Surah An-Noor. Verse 30]

Therefore, lower your gaze from that which Allaah has made forbidden and do not enter places of fitnah so that you are safeguarded. This is one of the means to safety from fitnah. (2)

Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] also said, “Lowering one’s gaze is a means to protecting the private parts and not restraining ones gaze is a means to corrupting the private parts. Therefore, if you want to protect your private parts from lewdness, lower your gaze. If you leave your eyesight roam about freely – looking at what Allaah has made unlawful, then indeed it will lead you to lewdness”. (3)

Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] also said, “Allaah commanded (us) to lower the gaze because the eyes are a means among the means to fornication. [Allaah said: قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ – Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.) 24:30]. Therefore, lowering the gaze is a means to protecting the private parts. And Allaah (جلال وعلا) said: [يَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ – Allah knows the fraud of the eyes, and all that the breasts conceal (40:19)]

What is fraud of the eyes? It is when one steals a glance at what Allaah has forbidden. When (a person) is with the people and the people are looking at him, he lowers his gaze; but when he sees that they are inattentive, he steals a glance at the unlawful. This is the fraud of the eyes and Allaah knows about it. (4)

Shaikh Saaleh Aala Ash-Shaikh [may Allaah preserve him] said, “It is neither permissible for a man to be in seclusion with a woman in a house, a car or another place, nor is it permissible for a woman to be in seclusion with a strange man in a house, a car or another place. This is due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] “Let not any of you be in seclusion with a woman, except in the presence of a male relative of hers” (i.e. a relative she is not allowed to marry, such as her father, husband, brother, uncle, grandfather etc ). [Bukhaari and Muslim]

And also in (Bukhaari and Muslim) the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said, “A man is not secluded with a woman, except that shaytaan is the third of them”. The impermissible seclusion is that which includes behind closed doors or in a room, a car and what is similar to it, or being out of sight. These are the cases of forbidden seclusion and this is how it is defined by the jurists. (5)

Imaam Maymoon Bin Mehraan [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Do not go to a woman [i.e. a strange woman] even if you say, ‘I am going to teach him the Qur’aan and do not lend an ear to a person of desires [i.e. a proponent of religious innovations] because you do not know what your heart will become attached to”. (6)

Al-Alaa Bin Ziyaad [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Do not (allow) your eyes to follow the garment of a woman because one’s gaze places desire in the heart”. (7)

Those who turn Women into sexual objects in the name of so called freedom and liberty

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “We find that at present our enemies focus on women issues – adorning women, intermingling them and make them share the same occupations with men, until it becomes as if the people are donkeys having no other concern except for their stomachs and canal desires, and Allaah’s Refuge is sought! Women are portrayed as if they are mere images – pictures (which) people attached no importance to except that which is connected to the woman’s figure (outward appearance). See how they have decorated and beautified her! See how they have brought about beautifications for her and presented her in a desirable condition, in relation to hair, skin, legs, arms, face and everything else, until they make it the most important issue for the woman- like a picture made out of plastic. They neither present to her the importance of establishing worship nor bearing children. (8)

Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] said, “Some women are clothed but naked, inclining to evil and seducing with it. They will not enter Paradise, nor smell its fragrance, even though it can be found from a distance of five hundred years of travel”. (9)

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: This has been explained to mean that they will wear short clothing that does not cover the parts of the body one is obligated to cover [i.e. the entire body of a woman is to be covered besides the face and hands]. It has been explained to mean that they will wear revealing clothing that does not prevent one from seeing the woman’s skin. And it has been explained to mean that they will wear tifght clothing which covers the body, but reveals that which leads to trial through a woman. (10)

NB: Regarding the statement ”They will not enter Paradise, nor smell its fragrance, even though it can be found from a distance of five hundred years of travel”. Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, ”The sinners [i.e. those who die whilst committing sins lesser than Shirk] are under the will of Allaah- if Allaah wishes, He will either punish or forgive them straight away, or He enters them into hell for some time and paradise thereafter, just as Allaah said: [إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغۡفِرُ أَن يُشۡرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغۡفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٲلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ‌ۚ – Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases]. [Surah An-Nisaa’ Aayah 48] (11)

Free mixing in the schools and colleges

“Prevention is easier than repelling something (after it has occurred)”. Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “This is principle of Islamic jurisprudence that was mentioned by Ibn Rajab [may Allaah have mercy upon him]. And in relation to its meaning is the statement of the doctors, “Prevention is easier than cure”, because prevention (necessitates) distancing oneself from evil and its causes. As for if evil occurs (i.e. due to not taking precaution), it becomes difficult for a person to remove it”. (12)

The committee of Senior Scholars (Saudi Arabia) stated: The reason behind the prohibition against free mixing between men and women is due to fear of falling into fitnah, lest it becomes a means to committing lewd acts; (a means) to violating the honour of women and corrupting the society. And indeed these affairs can become a greater reality through free mixing in education. Therefore, it (free mixing in education) is forbidden. (13)

Finally, a rebuke against those men who abuse the female folk of other people

Abu Umamah [may Allah be pleased with him] said, “A young man came to the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] and said, ‘O Allaah’s Messenger! Allow me to commit illegal sexual intercourse’. The people turned to him to rebuke him and told him keep quiet. So the Prophet moved closer to him and he sat down. The Prophet said, ‘Would you like that for your mother?’ He said, ‘By Allaah! No. ay Allah make me your ransom’. He said, ‘The people do not like it for their mothers either’. Then he said, ‘Would you like it for your daughter?’ He said, ‘By Allaah! No. May Allah make me your ransom’. He said, ‘The people do not like it for their daughters either’. He said, ‘Would you like it for your sister?’ He said, ‘By Allaah! No. May Allah make me your ransom’. He said, ‘The people do not like it for their sisters either’. He said, ‘Would you like it for your paternal aunt?’ He said, ‘By Allaah! No. May Allah make me your ransom.” He said: “The people do not like it for their paternal aunts either’. He said, ‘Would you like it for your maternal aunt?’ He said, By Allah! No. May Allah make me your ransom’. He said, ‘The people do not like it for their maternal aunts either’. Then he placed his hand on him and said, ‘O Allah! Forgive his sins and cleanse his heart, and protect his chastity’. And after that the young man never thought of any such thing again”. (14)

We ask Allaah to protect us from all evil Aameen.

Topple The Upright Scholars of Islaam- [Legacy of Colonialists, Socialists, Innovated Groups That Ascribe to Islaam and Khawaarij]: By Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said:

I will mention what Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] and other than him – amongst the people of knowledge – drew attention to regarding the virtue of the scholars in the statement of Allaah [The Blessed and Exalted] said: [يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَطِيعُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِى ٱلۡأَمۡرِ مِنكُمۡ‌ۖ – O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad, and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority]. [Surah An-Nisaa. Verse 59]

The pious predecessors explained the term “Ulul Ilm – those who have been given knowledge” to mean “Al-Umaraa -those who are in authority” and some of them explained it to mean “Al-Ulamaa – the scholars”. However, what is correct is that the verse includes both the scholars and those in authority [i.e. the rulers]. The scholars propagate Allaah’s divine law, teach the people, give rulings to the people and the rulers; and the rulers implement the rulings – implement the knowledge (of the divine law], which the scholars possess and propagate. So, the verse includes both the scholars and rulers. And due to this, Ibnul Qayyim said that it is obligatory to obey the scholars when they say, “Allaah said and Allaah’s Messenger said” in issues related to creed, acts of worship or deeds. (Also with regards to affairs) related to halaal and haram, if they say, “Allaah said and the Messenger of Allaah said” and then they give verdicts and judge based on what the Book and Sunnah necessitates, it becomes obligated on the people to obey them. (a) If the rulers command (the people) to obey Allaah -in agreement with what agrees with Allaah’s divine law, then it becomes obligated on the people to obey them. (b)

(But what is) witnessed (in relation to this affair) is that many people do not acknowledge the status of the people of knowledge, and they say, “They (i.e. scholars) are not guardians over us and there are no popes in Islam”. This (i.e. statement of those who do not recognize the status of the scholars) is tantamount to toppling the scholars, belittling them and removing them from their status (i.e. although neither are the scholars regarded as popes nor are they to be treated as popes, but they are the inheritors of the prophets and must be obeyed when they give rulings and judge based on what the Qur’aan and the Sunnah necessitate). This chronic illness started since the appearance of nationalism, western colonialism, the destructive views of the Naasiriyyah [i.e. Pan Arab Socialists] and Ba’thiyyah [i.e. the Ba’ath party – socialists] etc. The figureheads of these filthy dogmas made strenuous efforts to eliminate Islaam and remove it from their path, which they could not accomplish except by toppling the scholars. Then, this disease spread amongst the (innovated or deviated) groups that attribute themselves to Islaam, so you see them earnestly (seeking) to topple the scholars and describing them as stooges of the (government) authorities, spies, tails of the ruler and other evil nicknames. The (aim behind) all of this is to topple the scholars, especially the scholars of the Salafi methodology – the methodology that declares the one who is correct, the one upon error, the one upon falsehood, the misguided one and the deviated one as they are. There is neither flattery nor Mudaahanah [i.e. showing agreement -being pleased with what an opponent is upon, leaving him in his path and not seeking to rectify him, whilst saying, ‘As long as he keeps quiet about me, I will keep quiet about him’, because the inheritors of the prophets [i.e. the upright scholars]- those who present the truth- are just. They aid the religion ordained by Allaah and propagate it in the ummah. They propagate justice, Ihsaan [i.e. all that will perfect the worship of a person, good dealings and benefiting the people through one’s knowledge, wealth and position etc] and righteousness. And they wage war against evil, Fawaahish (i.e. great evil sins, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse), Shirk, misguidance, innovation in religious affairs and superstitious beliefs beliefs. (1)

The Shaikh [may Allaah preserve him] also said, “Indeed, I advise the youth to have good manners, to be humble, honour the scholars and avoid this evil orientation [i.e. the claim of the one who says, ‘I do not make Taqleed of such and such’, even though the claim behind this is to reject the truth.. read here [ https://salaficentre.com/2017/12/15c-excerpts-shaikh-rabees-book-titled-marhaban-yaa-taalibal-ilm-i-not-make-taqleed-person/ ], just as the khawaarij used to say, ‘The judgement belongs to none except Allaah’, so Ali [may Allaah be pleased with him] said to them, ‘A statement of truth by way of which falsehood is desired’.

I swear by Allaah -based on my observations of their actions, statements and stances-that these people desire falsehood and to divert the youth from the scholars. The youth exit a maelstrom and fall into another maelstrom, exit one pit and fall into another, because the people of evil and temptation are hidden behind the scenes, as the saying goes, ‘They want pawns’ whom they move back and forth to confront the Salafi Methodology. Where did Ikhwaan al Muslimoon and the Qutubiyyoon (c) get these ideas from in this land [i.e. Saudi Arabia]? Where did the ideas of Juhaymaan, Abdur Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq, Al- Haddaad, Al-Maghraawi and Abul Hasan Al-Maribi come from? (d) All of them are tail ends of Ikhwaan Al-Muslimeen’s ideas. All of them- beginning with the civil strife initiated by Juhaymaan up to date- are tail ends of Ikhwaan Al-Muslimeen’s tempation, whose main setup is to topple the scholars. However, they adopt different apparels and semblances – sometimes they adopt the term Al-Ikhwaan, sometimes the term At-Tasawwuf and at other times they adopt the term As-Salafiyyah! The most dangerous one is the term As-Salafiyyah, because they are unable to confront the Salafi Methodology with the terms At-Tab’leegh and Al- Ikhwaan, so they cover this make-believe act with the term As-Salafiyyah and then come along to challenge the scholars [i.e. the true scholars of the Salafi Methodology]. Religion, Identity, Traditions, Culture, Native Languages etc- [Reminder to African Muslims That They Are Focused And Not to Be Diverted – By The Pan Africanists – From The Sound Islamic Methodology and The Most Important Goal]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

1_1_Religion_Identity_Traditions_Culture_Native Languages_Do_Not_Be_Diverted_From_Sound_Islamic_Methodology_and_Most_Important_Goal

Indeed, no sane person disputes the fact that the Atlantic slave trade was a barbaric enterprise as well as the fact that exploitation still continues through neocolonialism. Many African writers – both Muslims and Non-Muslims – have clearly unveiled the oppressive behaviour of the neocolonialists, but sometimes the discussion enters into other subject matters such as religion, identity, traditions, culture, prosperity, to be in full control of the nation’s natural resources and preservation of the native languages. We also hear some Africans – Pan Africanists – raising objections when one refers to the former colonies as the Anglophone and Francophone countries. So, as African Muslims – just as it is obligated on all other Muslims, we should carefully analyse the statements of everyone who speaks in the name of reasserting cultural identity and fighting injustice lest we end up opposing the command of Allaah and the final Messenger, Muhammad [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him].

First, as we mentioned earlier, there is no doubt that the Atlantic slave trade was a barbaric enterprise, so we suffice with the clarifications – by Shaikh Abdul Waahid Abu Khadeejah [may Allaah preserve him]- in these two links:

Fir’awn’s Demagoguery

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Verily, Fir’aun (Pharaoh) exalted himself in the land and made its people sects, weakening (oppressing) a group (i.e. Children of Israel) among them, killing their sons, and letting their females live. Verily, he was of the Mufsidoon]. [Surah Al-Qasas. Aayah 4]

Imaam Al-Aloosee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “He divided them into different sects and they went along with him in everything he desired of evil and corruption, or he used some as a means to get others to obey him, or he made them into different distinct groups under his service and used every group in some type of work, such as construction, tillage, earthwork (drilling etc) and other burdensome work, and whoever did not work was beaten, so they served him by doing so; or he made them into sects and incited hatred and enmity between them, so that they do not come to an agreement (or become united in their stance against him). (1)

[ إِنَّهُ ۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ – Verily, he was of the Mufsidoon]- Meaning: Those whose intention is neither to rectify the religious nor worldly affairs, and this was from his corrupt behaviour in the earth. (2)

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

وَقَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ ذَرُونِىٓ أَقۡتُلۡ مُوسَىٰ وَلۡيَدۡعُ رَبَّهُ ۥۤ‌ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُبَدِّلَ دِينَڪُمۡ أَوۡ أَن يُظۡهِرَ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡفَسَادَ

Fir’aun (Pharaoh) said: “Leave me to kill Musa (Moses), and let him call his Lord (to stop me from killing him)! I fear that he may change your religion, or that he may cause mischief to appear in the land!” [Surah Ghaafir. Verse 26]
Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: Allaah (The Most High) said: [وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ – Fir’aun (Pharaoh) said] – Meaning, with haughtiness and tyranny, whilst deluding his foolish people; [ذَرُونِي أَقْتُلْ مُوسَىٰ وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهُ – Leave me to kill Musa (Moses), and let him call his Lord (to stop me from killing him)!] This was his (false) claim that had it not been for his consideration of the wishes of his people, he would have killed Musa and that (Musa’s) supplication to his Lord would not have prevented him from that. Fir’awn then mentioned what made him want to kill Musa and that he is a sincere adviser to his people, and that he wished to remove mischief from the land. Allaah (The Most High) stated that Fir’awn said: [إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَنْ يُظْهِرَ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْفَسَادَ – I fear that he (Musa) may change your religion, or that he may cause mischief to appear in the land!]

This is the most amazing the affair can be! The most evil one among the creation gives advice to the people against the best among the creation. This is (nothing but) disguised falsehood and propaganda, which cannot seize except the intellects of those (people) about whom Allaah stated: [فَاسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ – Thus he Fir’aun (Pharaoh)] befooled and misled his people, and they obeyed him. Verily, they were ever a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah)]. [Surah Az-Zukhruf. Verse 54] (3)

Allaah [The Most High] said:

He [Fir’awn] said, “Have you come to drive us out of our land with your magic, O Moosaa? Then verily, we can produce magic the like thereof, so appoint a meeting between us and you, which neither we, nor you shall fail to keep, in an open wide place where both shall have a just and equal chance (and beholders could witness the competition)”. [Moosaa] said, “Your appointed meeting is the day of the festival, and let the people assemble when the sun has risen (forenoon)”. So Fir’awn withdrew, devised his plot and then came back. Musa (Moses) said to them, “Woe unto you! Invent not a lie against Allah, lest He should destroy you completely by a torment. And surely, he who invents a lie (against Allah) will fail miserably”. [Surah Taa Haa. Verses 57-61]

Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “He (Fir’awn) claimed that the signs which Moosaa [peace be upon him] showed him were nothing more than sorcery and illusions, and that the aim behind them was to drive them from their land and take it over. Fir’awn’s statements were intended to influence his people, because people are naturally attached to their homelands and it is difficult for them to abandon them. He told them that this was Moosaa’s goal, so that they would hate and oppose him. (4)

This is what is witnessed from some French Demagogues and Ideologues when they desperately seek re-election, so in order to pander far-right voters, they use divisive rhetoric to arouse that exaggerated, passionate, or fanatical devotion to a national community. This is sometimes carried out by utilizing an ambiguous concept of radicalization and extremism – a kick in the teeth for those Muslims who fight extremism on a daily basis, maintain good neighborly relationships and do not take the law into their own hands. However, unfortunately, some demagogues will always utilize fearmongering as weapon against Muslims, especially when their citizens accuse them of failing to solve the economic problems of their nations. Every terrorist attack that is perpetrated by a misguided Muslim is claimed to be carried out in the name of Islam and thus strengthens anti-Muslim stance in the country. Sometimes, you hear them saying, “Islamists want our future, but they’ll never take it away”. This is one of the aims of populist politicians and demagogues- to spread hate toward the Muslims. However, there are many sensible non-Muslims who refuse to accept this false narrative.

Islamists Want Our Future, But They’ll Never Take It Away

The Term ‘Islamist’ in particular is used vaguely in order to mix truth with falsehood. According to many western ideologues, demagogues and writers, an Islamist is “A person who believes strongly in Islam, especially one who believes that Islam should influence political systems, an advocate or supporter of Islamic militancy or fundamentalism, radical Islamists etc” Indeed, this definition contains truth and falsehood, therefore let us examine the affair briefly.

(a) If the term ‘Islamist’ – according to Westerners – is a person who believes strongly in Islaam, especially one who believes that Islam should influence political systems, then indeed this is praiseworthy in the sight of Allaah. Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said, “Whoever Allaah wishes good for, He grants him understanding in the religion”. When this ‘Understanding in the religion’ is mentioned to the people, they understand it to mean the books of Islamic jurisprudence [i.e. the books that discuss the rulings related to prayer, zakat, fasting, marriage etc]. This is a deficient understanding. Fiqh [understanding] – first and foremost – is the understanding of the (sound) creed and Tawheed (i.e. sound Islamic monotheism). This is the highest level of Fiqh, because the nobility of knowledge is judged based on the nobility of its subject matter. The best and noblest subject matter is Tawheed, which teaches the people about the Attributes of their Lord and the perfection of His Attributes, about His Oneness, to worship Him (alone) and sincerely establish the religion for His Sake. Therefore, we seek understanding of Tawheed from Allaah’s Book, the (authentic) Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] and from the understanding of our pious predecessors. We seek understanding in all areas of (Sharee’ah) knowledge – understanding of halaal and haraam, acts of worship, mutual dealings, sound Islamic politics, economics and in every affair. [NB: This knowledge of politics is not based on the corrupt methodology of the so called ‘Muslim Brotherhood’, so read here: http://www.ikhwanis.com/authors/Abu.Iyaad.cfm ]

All these affairs – and all praise and thanks be to Allaah – are extensively (found) in the (message) brought by Muhammad [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him]. When Fiqh is mentioned, its intended (meaning includes) understanding of every affair that is connected to our religious and worldly affairs, and the foremost of them is the knowledge of Tawheed [Islamic Monotheism]. There is nothing that can do without the knowledge of Tawheed. Some people deeply preoccupy (themselves with other) sciences and subject matters, but do not know this knowledge brought by the Messenger, to such extent that you find many people who are well versed in language, Islamic jurisprudence, philosophy and the science of rhetoric, but – by Allaah – he does not know (the sound meaning) of ‘Laa ilaaha illal laah’ – the Islamic Monotheism, which Allaah sent all the Messengers with, the first and last of them. [Allaah said]: [وَلَقَدۡ بَعَثۡنَا فِى ڪُلِّ أُمَّةٍ۬ رَّسُولاً أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ ٱلطَّـٰغُوتَ‌ۖ – And verily, We have sent among every Ummah [community, nation] a Messenger [saying], “Worship Allah [Alone], and avoid [or keep away from] all false deities”.] [Surah An-Nahl. Verse 36]

Every Messenger came with this (Message), until the advent of the seal of the Messengers Muhammad [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him], who resided in Makkah for ten years and called to Tawheed. Tawheed was the foremost aspect and basis of his call. The prayer – the second pillar of Islaam after the testimony of faith ‘Laa ilaaha illal laah – was not legislated until in the 10th year (of his Messengership), and the full details (related to) Zakat was not legislated until (after his migration to) Madeenah and all the other laws. This shows the importance of Tawheed, so how is it that many people who ascribe to Islaam- those who claim knowledge – are ignorant of it, then how about the ignorant people. And due to this, misguidance, innovation in religious affairs and grave worship has become widespread, and this arose due to ignorance regarding the (perfect) Names and Attributes of Allaah and negation of Allaah’s (perfect) Attributes. And (also) a people from the other religions entered into Islaam and plotted against the people (through) corrupt sciences – rhetoric, philosophy, forged (or spurious) historical accounts and what is similar to that, and thus corrupted their (sound) creed and methodology”. (5)

Therefore, a Muslim who firmly believes in Islaam follows this path clarified by Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee [may Allaah preserve him], however bear in mind that this does not include the politics of the power-hungry so called ‘Muslim Brotherhood’.

(b) If the term ‘Islamist’ – according to Westerners – is ‘an advocate or supporter of militancy, radicalism or terrorism’, then indeed this is not to be attributed to Islaam, because the only people known for such behaviour are the khawaarij and those influenced by their ideas. It is well-known in Islaam that a Muslim is not allowed to commit any act of aggression against a non-Muslim citizen just because he disapproves of their behaviour. The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] him] said, “Whoever kills one who is under an agreement of protection will not smell the fragrance of Paradise”. This hadeeth shows clearly that a Muslim is threatened with punishment in the afterlife for murdering a non-Muslim citizen who is under an agreement of protection. Therefore, how can any sensible person attribute the deeds of such a Muslim to Islaam?!

(c) As for the term ‘Islamic Fundamentalism’, even though there is much dispute between the people regarding its meanings, however the meaning generally intended by those who use it is, ‘Strict observance of the teachings of the Qur’an and the Shari’ah (Islamic Law)’. Therefore, if this is what Westerners intend by the term ‘Fundamentalism’, then indeed Allaah [The Exalted] said:

فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ حَتَّىٰ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُواْ فِىٓ أَنفُسِہِمۡ حَرَجً۬ا مِّمَّا قَضَيۡتَ وَيُسَلِّمُواْ تَسۡلِيمً۬ا

But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission. [Surah An-Nisaa. Aayah 65]

Narrated Abu Musa [may Allaah be pleased with him] that the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “My example, and the example of what I have been sent with is that of a man who came to some people and said, O people! [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari. Vol 9. Number: 7283]

Therefore, if this is what the French Demagogues intend by the term ‘Fundamentalism’, then indeed it is a praiseworthy deed in the sight of Allaah [The Exalted], but if they mean those who advocate violence, then indeed this is the behaviour of the khaarijites [terrorists – innovators (ISIS, Al-Qa’idah, Jabhat An-Nusra and their ilk)]. Therefore, it is incumbent upon the French demagogues and ideologues to refrain from fearmongering. A desire for re-election should not lead to slander and ambiguity.

Finally, the upright Muslims adhere to the advice of Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] when he stated: “Likewise I invite you to have respect for those people who have the right that they should be respected, from those between you and whom there is and agreement (of protection) [i.e. Non-Muslims]. For the land which you are living is such that there is an agreement between you and them. If this were not the case they would have killed you or expelled you. So preserve this agreement, and do not prove treacherous to it, since treachery is a sign of the hypocrites, and it is not from the way of the Believers. And know that it is authentically reported from the Prophet that he said, ‘Whoever kills one who is under and agreement of protection will not smell the fragrance of Paradise’. Do not be fooled by those sayings of the foolish people : those who say : ‘Those people are Non-Muslims, so their wealth is lawful for us [i.e. to misappropriate or take by way of murder and killing].’ For by Allaah – this is a lie. A lie about Allaah’s Religion, and a lie in Islamic societies. So we may not say that it is lawful to be treacherous towards people whom we have an agreement with. O my brothers. O youth. O Muslims. Be truthful in your buying and selling, and renting, and leasing, and in all mutual transactions. Because truthfulness is from the characteristics of the Believers, and Allaah – the Most High – has commanded truthfulness – in the saying of Allaah – the Most High – ‘O you who believe – fear and keep you duty to Allaah and be with the truthful’. And the Prophet encouraged truthfulness and said, ‘Adhere to truthfulness, because truthfulness leads to goodness, and goodness leads to Paradise; and a person will continue to be truthful, and strive to be truthful until he will be written down with Allaah as a truthful person’. And he warned against falsehood, and said, ‘Beware of falsehood, because falsehood leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. And a person will continue lying, and striving to lie until he is written down with Allaah as a great liar’. O my brother Muslims. O youth. Be true in your sayings with your brothers, and with those Non-Muslims whom you live along with – so that you will be inviters to the Religion of Islaam, by your actions and in reality. So how many people there are who first entered into Islaam because of the behaviour and manners of the Muslims, and their truthfulness, and their being true in their dealings”. Indeed, the likes of these above clarifications are well known to the demagogues and ideologues, but bias and nationalism does not allow them to distinguish between terrorists and law abiding Muslim citizens. Likewise our Mashaayikh in the West are well known for their staunch stance against the extremists and terrorists.

The Main Robust Social Network That Helped Parents Deal With Parental Fatigue

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Contemporary_The Main Robust Social Network That Helped Parents Deal With Parental Fatigue

Anas Bin Maalik [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] stated during his illness [i.e. the illness through which he passed away], “Your Arhaam! Your Arhaam! [i.e. relatives of the womb!]”

Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadi Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “This hadeeth contains a precious advice (or command) from the noble Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] whose Lord described him in His statement:

[لَقَدۡ جَآءَڪُمۡ رَسُولٌ۬ مِّنۡ أَنفُسِڪُمۡ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيۡهِ مَا عَنِتُّمۡ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيۡڪُم بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ۬ رَّحِيمٌ۬ – Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad) from amongst yourselves (i.e. whom you know well). It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He (Muhammad) is anxious over you (to be rightly guided, to repent to Allah, and beg Him to pardon and forgive your sins, in order that you may enter Paradise and be saved from the punishment of the Hell-fire), for the believers (he is) full of pity, kind, and merciful]. [Surah At-tawbah. Aayah 128]

It is an advice (or a command) about maintaining the ties of kinship, and indeed the command regarding it has been stated in the noble Qur’aan and in the Prophetic Sunnah. As for in the Qur’aan, then indeed Allaah [The Blessed and Exalted] said:

O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women and fear Allah through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship) . Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you. [Surah An-Nisaa. Verse 1]

The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] commanded (one) to maintain the ties of kinship and promised reward – in this life and the next – for it. These are upright exhortations. The intent behind the word Ar-Rahim – [relations of the womb] – are one’s relatives on the father’s and mother’s side, and they are of different levels (or categories). Maintaining ties with them aids a person in his worldly affairs to fulfil his needs and makes his affairs easy by the permission of Allaah. And with regards to (deeds related to the) afterlife, it is one of the best deeds through which a servant seeks to get close to Allaah [i.e. to receive the love of Allaah and reward, and repel punishment]. (1)

The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Fear Allaah and maintain your ties of kinship”. Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadi Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “The hadeeth is very clear in commanding two virtuous acts of worship- a right Allaah is owed and a right owed to the people. As for the right Allaah is owed, it is that one fears Him. Indeed, Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] commanded -in many places in the Qur’aan- that He should be feared, and from them is His statement:

[يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِۦ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ – O you who believe! Fear Allah (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. [Obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always], and die not except in a state of Islam (as Muslims) with complete submission to Allah]. [Surah Aal Imraan. Verse 102]

Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said: [يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسٍ۬ وَٲحِدَةٍ۬ – O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam) [Surah An-Nisaa. Verse 1]

Allaah [Glorified be He said]:

O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth. He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e. he will be saved from the Hellfire and made to enter Paradise). [Surah Al-Ahzaab. Verse 70-71]

Allaah connected the good in this life and the next to Taqwa [Fear of Him], just as it is found in His statement:

وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجۡعَل لَّهُ ۥ مَخۡرَجً۬ا
وَيَرۡزُقۡهُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَحۡتَسِبُ‌ۚ

And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. [Surah At-Talaaq. Aayaat 2-3]; then Allaah said in Aayah 5: [ وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يُكَفِّرۡ عَنۡهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ وَيُعۡظِمۡ لَهُ ۥۤ أَجۡرًا – And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will remit his sins from him, and will enlarge his reward].

These are from the [divine] texts in which Allaah commanded (us) to fear Him. And the reality of Taqwah [Fear of Allaah], as some of the pious predecessors stated, ‘It is to act in obedience to Allaah with a light from Allaah [i.e. guided to know and enabled to perform the act sincerely], hoping for Allaah’s reward, abandon disobedience to Allaah with a light from Allaah [i.e. guided to know what is wrong and being enabled to keep away from it sincerely] and out of fearing Allaah’s punishment’.

The statement of the Prophet in this hadeeth, ‘Fear Allaah’, means to perform acts of obedience to Allaah, abandon disobedience to Allaah, fulfil Allaah’s command, keep away from Allaah’s prohibitions, hasten towards good deeds, and distance yourself from evil manners and repugnant deeds.

As for the right owed to the people, this is referred to in the Prophet’s, ‘Maintain your ties of kinship’. The intent behind this is those related to you through lineage- on the mother’s and father’s side. It is obligated on a person to maintain the ties of kinship with these people as much as one is able by going to visit them, sending them beneficial advice and through wealth. All these are righteous deeds and a right of relatives. And the aim is that one enquires about their circumstances as much as one is able. And if corruption or something harmful enters into a tie of kinship, then one should make an effort to rectify the situation and not cut ties; rather one should make an effort to rectify the evil or mistake, so that Allaah rewards him for keeping the ties of kinship, and for enjoining good and forbidding evil. And if a person has a relative who has many female relatives, whilst he is not married and fears for him (i.e. lest he falls into what is forbidden through direct contact), then keeping the ties of kinship (with this male relative who has many female relatives suffices). It is not a condition that one speaks (in person) to the one who is not from his Mahaarim (a) in order to keep the ties of kinship; rather if he greats her, it should be behind a Hijaab (something prevents them from seeing one another)”. (2)

First, who are the Mahaarim? https://www.abukhadeejah.com/mind-map-illustration-showing-the-mahrams-male-chaperones-of-a-woman-for-travel-and-sittings/

Second, lets ponder upon two excepts from Al-Allaamah Zayd’s Bin Haadee’s commentary on the two above narrations. Excerpt A is “Maintaining ties with them aids a person in his worldly affairs to fulfil his needs and makes his affairs easy by the permission of Allaah. And with regards to (deeds related to the) afterlife, it is one of the best deeds through which a servant seeks to get close to Allaah [i.e. to receive the love of Allaah and reward, and repel punishment]” and Excerpt B is, “It is obligated on a person to maintain the ties of kinship with these people as much as one is able by going to visit them, sending them beneficial advice and through wealth. All these are righteous deeds and a right of relatives. And the aim is that one enquires about their circumstances as much as one is able”.

Indeed, all praise is due to Allaah who legislated everything beneficial for humankind and Jinn. Every Muslim knows the importance of the family, the clan and the tribe, especially during stressful times and when one – sometimes- experiences exhaustion due to parenting responsibilities. Living in big families – aunties, uncles, grandparents – or at close proximity greatly assist parents through a social support network. Many of us – during childhood – who had close relationships with extended families living at close proximity or even in other cities will never forget the quality time one spent with them, the close bond that enabled one to constantly enquire about the welfare of other family members, the financial assistance that was given during hard times and a wide social network provided for the young ones. Grandparents, aunties and uncles were always present and one cannot count the number of times our parents said to us after a hard day’s work, “I’ve had enough today and off you go to your grandparent’s house, auntie’s house or uncle’s house for the weekend or for a few hours so that I can have a nap”, or “You’ll be spending the day with your grandparents because am off to a Waleemah”. Some of us spent most of our time with grandparents, cousins, aunties and uncles, but we also spent enough time with our parents. Time spent at grandparents’ house was precious to us because it was an opportunity to be spoilt and pampered. How many times have we heard our parents scolding us in the presence of our grandparents, but grandma would say, “Leave him or her alone”, then our parents would reply, “Would we have dared do the same in your presence when we were young?” Grandma would just smile because she had no reply. All of this was said with laughter!

Indeed, without this close social support system our parents would have constantly experience parental burnout! So, merciful indeed is Allaah who commanded us to maintain the ties of kinship, and one certainly realizes the reality behind Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadee’s statement that “Maintaining ties with them aids a person in his worldly affairs to fulfil his needs and makes his affairs easy by the permission of Allaah”. [End of quote]

Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] said, “The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, ‘Indeed Ar-Rahim (the womb) derives its root from Ar-Rahmãn (i.e., one of the Names of Allah) and Allah said, ‘I will keep good relation with the one who will keep good relation with you, (womb i.e., kith and kin) and sever the relation with him who will sever the relation with you, (womb, i.e., kith and kin)'”. [Reported by Bukhaari 5988]

We ask Allaah to provide this social support system to all children Aameen.

Relationship With Society As a Whole

Imaam Shanqeetee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

Ponder upon what the great leader [Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] has been commanded and how he should deal with his society. Allaah [The Most High] said:

فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ ۖ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ

And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allah’s) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs.” [Soorah Aal Imraan: Ayah: 159]

Ponder upon what a person has been commanded and how he should deal with his leader. Allaah [The Most High] said: [يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ – O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. [Soorah An-Nisaa. Verse 59] (3)
Ponder upon what a person has been commanded to do [in order to safeguard close members] of his society, such as his children and wife. Allaah [The Most High] said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَّا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ

O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do that which they are commanded. [Soorah Tahreem. Verse 6]

Ponder upon how (the Qur’aan) has informed the person about cautiousness and resoluteness when dealing his (close) social group in particular- that if he comes across that which is not befitting [from them], he is commanded to pardon and forgive. Firstly, the Qur’aan commands him to be cautious and resolute, and secondly, it commands him to pardon and forgive. Allaah [The Most High] said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَادِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَّكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ ۚ وَإِن تَعْفُوا وَتَصْفَحُوا وَتَغْفِرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

O you who believe! Verily, among your wives and your children there are enemies for you (i.e. may stop you from the obedience of Allah), therefore beware of them! But if you pardon (them) and overlook, and forgive (their faults), then verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.[Soorah At-Taghaabun. Verse 14]

Ponder upon how individuals in society have been commanded to deal with one another in general. Allaah (The Most High) said:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالْإِحْسَانِ وَإِيتَاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَيَنْهَىٰ عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ ۚ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

Verily, Allah enjoins Al-Adl (i.e. justice and worshipping none but Allah Alone – Islamic Monotheism) and Al-Ihsan [i.e. to be patient in performing your duties to Allah, totally for Allah’s sake and in accordance with the Sunnah (legal ways) of the Prophet in a perfect manner], and giving (help) to kith and kin (i.e. all that Allah has ordered you to give them e.g., wealth, visiting, looking after them, or any other kind of help, etc.): and forbids Al-Fahsha’ (i.e. all evil deeds, e.g. illegal sexual acts, disobedience of parents, polytheism, to tell lies, to give false witness, to kill a life without right, etc.), and Al-Munkar (i.e. all that is prohibited by Islamic law: polytheism of every kind, disbelief and every kind of evil deeds, etc.), and Al-Baghy (i.e. all kinds of oppression), He admonishes you, that you may take heed. [Soorah An-Nahl: Ayah: 90]

And Allaah [The Most High] said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اجْتَنِبُوا كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ الظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ ۖ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا

O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions, indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another.”[Soorah Al-Hujuraat. Verse 12]

And He [The Most High] said:

O you who believe! Let not a group scoff at another group, it may be that the latter are better than the former; nor let (some) women scoff at other women, it may be that the latter are better than the former, nor defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. How bad is it, to insult one’s brother after having Faith [i.e. to call your Muslim brother (a faithful believer) as: “O sinner”, or “O wicked”, etc.]. And whosoever does not repent, then such are indeed Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.). [Soorah Al-Hujuraat. Verse 11]

And He [The Most High] said:

وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ

Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. [Soorah Al-Maa-idah. Verse 2]

And Allaah [The Most High] said: [إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ – The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion)]. [Soorah Al-Hujuraat. Verse 10]

And Allaah [The Most High] said: [وَأَمْرُهُمْ شُورَىٰ بَيْنَهُمْ – And who (conduct) their affairs by mutual consultation]. [Soorah Ash-Shooraa. Verse 38]

And when it is the case that the individuals of a society are not safe –regardless who they may be-from the hostility and enmity of others in their Jinn or human society, and it is the case that every individual is in need of a remedy for this problem whose trial affects everyone- therefore Allaah [The Most High] clearly prescribed its remedy in three places in His Book. The remedy for human hostility [Ref 2] is that [a person] should turn away from the hostile one and responds to him [or her] with what is better. Allaah [The Most High] said in Soorah Al-Araaf Verse 199:

خُذِ الْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْجَاهِلِينَ

Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the foolish (i.e. don’t punish them.

Allaah [The Most High] said Soorah Al-Muminoon Verse 96:

ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ۚ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ

Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter.

Allaah [The Most High] made it more evident that this divine remedy cuts off this satanic ailment and He also made more (evident) that this divine (remedy) is not bestowed upon every person, except upon a person who has been granted in abundance and a great portion [of the happiness in the Hereafter]. Allaah [The Most High] said:

ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ
وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا ذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ

Repel (the evil) with one which is better (i.e. Allah ordered the faithful believers to be patient at the time of anger, and to excuse those who treat them badly), then verily! he, between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend. But none is granted it (the above quality) except those who are patient, and none is granted it except the owner of the great portion (of the happiness in the Hereafter i.e. Paradise and in this world of a high moral character). [Surah Fussilat. Verses 34-35]

And there is no remedy against a devil amongst the Jinn except through seeking refuge with Allaah. Allaah [The Most High] said: [وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ – And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaitan (Satan) then seek refuge with Allah. Verily, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower].

Allaah [The Most High] said Soorah Al-Muminoon Verses 97-98:

وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ
وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ

And say: “My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). “And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me.”

Allaah [The Most High] said: [وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ – And if an evil whisper from Shaitan (Satan) tries to turn you away (O Muhammad) (from doing good, etc.), then seek refuge in Allah. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower]. [Surah Fussilat Verse 36] [Source: An Excerpt From ‘Al-Islaamu Deenun Kaamilun’. pages 10-12. slightly paraphrased.]

How to Enjoin Good And Forbid Evil In Society

Question to Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him]: Is enjoining good and forbidding evil by the hand obligated on all Muslims, or is it just for those in authority and their deputies?

Answer: Stopping what is wrong is an obligated on all Muslims based on their ability, because the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Whoever sees an evil deed, then let him stop it with their hand [i.e. by taking action based on what the law of a land allows him]; if he cannot, then with his tongue [i.e. by speaking against it based on what the law of a land allows him]; and if he cannot, then with their heart [i.e. by hating in his heart and keeps away from the evil], and that is the weakest of Iman (faith)”. [Reported by Muslim]

However, stopping evil with one’s hand must be based on ability and should not result in greater corruption or evil. A man has the right to rectify matters with his hand (by taking action) in his home in relation to his children, wife, and servants (i.e. baaed on what the law allows). A manager has the authority to make changes with the hand within the organization they are responsible for, in accordance with the instructions that were given to them [i.e. based on the law of the land], but people should not stop anything with their hand which they are not authorized to stop. If they stop that which they have no authority to stop, this will result in more evil and great corruption between them and the people, and between the people and the state. In this case, they should stop evil with their tongue [i.e. by speaking against it in manner allowed by the law]. They may say, “O such and such! Fear Allah! This is not permissible. This is prohibited. This is obligated on you” and clarify the affair with a legislated Islamic proof. This is what can be done with the tongue. As for stopping (evil) with the hand, this should be carried out where one has authority, such as in one’s home – amongst those under one’s responsibility [i.e. within the law], or those authorized by the ruler, such as those given permission and authority to enjoin good. They stop evil in accordance with the authority they have been given – in the way prescribed by the Shari’ah [i.e. based on Islamic law in a Muslim country], without exceeding their jurisdiction. The same applies to the governor of a city to stop evil with his hand in accordance with the instructions he has (been given). [An Excerpt from ‘Fataawa Ibn Baaz 8/208’. Slightly paraphrased]

“Islamic Extremism, Be It In Its Salafist or Muslim Brotherhood Versions, Uses force to Change The World View” – [Brief Rebuttal Against a Rotten (Wicked) Liar – at Arab News – Called (Ephrem Kossaify) Who Attributed Extremism to Salafiyyah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Allaah.

Whilst discussing white supremacy, racism and the murder of George Floyd, Ephrem Kossaify stated:

It could be that those Arabs who say white nationalism is America’s greatest peril are in fact exposing their own anxieties about ethnicity, sectarianism and violent extremism. “Islamic extremism, be it in its Salafist or Muslim Brotherhood versions, uses force to change the world view, starting in their own country, and expanding to include infidels of other nations. Look what just happened in France” El-Hady said, referring to Samuel Paty, a teacher who was beheaded near his school on Oct. 6 for showing cartoons of Prophet Muhammad in class. The perpetrator, an 18-year-old ethnic Chechen named as Abdullakh Anzorov, is alleged to have had ties to Islamic extremist groups abroad. “These terrorist organizations that have plagued the Arab world are much more dangerous than white nationalism,” said El-Hady. Brief Response to The Wicked Liar Kossaify

First, white supremacy, racism or terrorism are all the paths of shaytaan so there is no need to add anything to Kossaify’s words.

Second, Kossaify attributes terrorism to Salafiyyah and this is what we seek to briefly clarify in this short article. Indeed, Kossaify has slandered and fabricated due to ignorance, conjecture and evil desires, and this is the path of all those who seek to slander Salafiyyah. Therefore, let us quote well-known Salafi Scholar, Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] who stated, “The political groups emerged in this era (whilst) affected- to some extent- by the creed and methodologies of the khawaarij. And due to this they do not give importance to (other affairs) besides politics- neither do they give any concern to rectifying the situation of the Ummah though (sound) Creed and Knowledge nor do reflect upon (the affair about) returning the Ummah to the Book, the (authentic) Sunnah, and the piety and steadfastness which the pious predecessors were upon in every aspect of the Religion; rather they (i.e. these political groups) increase the Ummah in corruption upon corruption-in creed and manners. So, you see them giving allegiance to the proponents of religious innovations and misguidance, waging war against the people who (truly) follow the Qur’aan and the Sunnah, and the scholars (i.e. waging war against those scholars who truly adhere to the Qur’aan and the Sunnah). They erect false objectives and slogans for Ahlul Bidah Wad-Dalaalah [the proponents of religious innovations and Misguidance] and their books, and amongst them [i.e. these proponents of religious innovations] are Sayyid Qutb and his followers – the one who embark upon the stratagem of the Khawaarij, the Rawaafid, the Mu’tazilah and the Jahmiyyah in creed, methodology and politics; especially in the subject matter of Takfeer based on oppression and ignorance [i.e. he make Takfeer based on ignorance and oppression]. According to him all human societies are societies of Pre-Islamic ignorance and the Muslim Ummah is the severest in its apostasy and Pre-Islamic state of ignorance. Thereafter, the path of the Baatiniyyah was added to this (methodology of his, such) as assassinations, blowing up (buildings, people etc). Then his followers attribute themselves to the Salafi Methodology based on a mighty plot against the (true, upright) leaders (of the Salafi Methodology). (Therefore), when you come to know this, you will know that the Salafi Methodology is free from this (type) of Takfeer and destruction, and you will know who the treacherous people are. If you know this, then it is tantamount to an act of manifest oppression when the Raafidah, the Secularists and Rationalists attribute (terrorist acts), (false) Takfeer and destruction to the Salafi Methodology”. (1)

Third, let us quote well-known Salafi Scholar, Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] who stated: “Salafiyyah is to follow the Madhab of the Salafus Saaleh [pious predecessors] – the Sahaabah, the Taa’bi’een and the virtuous generations. Allaah [The Most High] said:

[وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهَـٰجِرِينَ وَٱلۡأَنصَارِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِـإِحۡسَـٰنٍ۬ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡہُمۡ وَرَضُواْ عَنۡهُ – And the first to embrace Islaam of the Muhaajiroon (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansaar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhaajiroon) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allaah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him]. [9:100]

And Allaah [The Most High] said about the Sahaabah:

[إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَهَاجَرُواْ وَجَـٰهَدُواْ بِأَمۡوَٲلِهِمۡ وَأَنفُسِہِمۡ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاوَواْ وَّنَصَرُوٓاْ أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ بَعۡضُہُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءُ بَعۡضٍ۬‌ۚ – ‘Verily, those who believed, and emigrated and strove hard and fought with their property and their lives in the Cause of Allaah as well as those who gave (them) asylum and help, – these are (all) allies to one another [8:72] – up to His statement- [وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدُ وَهَاجَرُواْ وَجَـٰهَدُواْ مَعَكُمۡ فَأُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ مِنكُمۡ‌ۚ – And those who believed afterwards, and emigrated and strove hard along with you, (in the Cause of Allaah) they are of you]. [8:75 ]

Allaah [Glorified be He and free is He from all Imperfections] said in Surah Al -Hashar:

(And there is also a share in this booty) for the poor emigrants, who were expelled from their homes and their property, seeking Bounties from Allaah and to please Him. And helping Allaah (i.e. helping His religion) and His Messenger (Muhammad). Such are indeed the truthful (to what they say); And those who, before them, had homes (in Al-Madinah) and had adopted the Faith, love those who emigrate to them.” [59:8-9]- up until His [The Most High] statement: [وَٱلَّذِينَ جَآءُو مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَلِإِخۡوَٲنِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِٱلۡإِيمَـٰنِ – And those who came after them say: “Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in Faith]. 59:10

The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “This ummah will split into seventy three sects; all of them will enter the fire except one. They said, ‘Which is that (saved sects) O Messenger of Allaah?’ He replied, ‘Those who are upon that which I and my companions are upon today’. The Prophet said, ‘Adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafaa after me’. Therefore, salafiyyah is the Methodology that has been obligated on us to follow and we are to abandon all other methodologies that are in opposition to it. The [people of salafiyyah] are the saved sect, Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa-ah, and they are the aided group till the Day of Judgement. May Allaah include us amongst them. However, ascription to this methodology [of the puious predecessors requires knowledge of its fundamentals in order that the Muslim may adhere to it. (One is) required to have knowledge of the other methodologies that are in opposition to Salafiyyah in order to avoid them. Therefore, Salafiyyah upon the path of the pious predecessors has to be (followed) based on knowledge and clear sightedness. It is not enough for the person to ascribe himself to (salafiyyah) whilst being ignorant of it or being in opposition to it. For that reason Allaah [The Most High] said:[ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِـإِحۡسَـٰنٍ۬ – And also those who followed them exactly (in Faith)].

They follow (them) with knowledge- neither fall into extremism nor negligence. They neither exaggerate nor fail to give the affair its right such as those who ascribe themselves to the schools of jurisprudence of the four imams [Abu Haneefah, Maalik, Shaa-fi’ee and Ahmad] whilst being in opposition to them in creed and worship. And like the one who ascribes himself to the methodology of the Salaf [i.e. the pious predecessors], yet he either declares the Muslims to be disbelievers or rebels against the Muslim rulers, or he follows other directions towards extremism. This person is not a Salafi, rather he is named a khaariji or a Mutazili. Or like the one who ascribes himself to the methodology of the Salaf, but speaks with the statement of the Mur’ji’a in the affair of Eemaan and Kufr. This is not Salafiyyah. Therefore, it is obligatory to pay attention to this affair and not to mix the Salafi methodology with the other methodologies that are in opposition to it, and then say, ‘All these methodologies (including the salafi methodology) are not from Islaam’. This is recklessness in speech, an oppressive judgement and it is tantamount to being deceptive to the people”. (2)

Therefore, we say to the wicked liar Ephrem Kossaify, the above statements of Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee and Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve them] are enough to rebut your satanic slanders against Salafiyyah. Pay attention to the statement of Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Hadee, “(Therefore), when you come to know this, you will know that the Salafi Methodology is free from this (type) of Takfeer and destruction, and you will know who the treacherous people are. If you know this, then it is tantamount to an act of manifest oppression when the Raafidah, the Secularists and Rationalists attribute (terrorist acts), (false) Takfeer and destruction to the Salafi Methodology”. And pay attention to the statement of Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan, “Therefore, Salafiyyah upon the path of the pious predecessors has to be (followed) based on knowledge and clear sightedness. This is recklessness in speech, an oppressive judgement and it is tantamount to being deceptive to the people”. Finally, it is very clear that the wicked liar rushed towards conjecture and evil desires, just as Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said: [إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهۡوَى ٱلۡأَنفُسُ‌ۖ – They follow but a guess and that which they themselves desire].

The one deprived of sound Eemaan and the sound creed sent down as revelation by Allaah- The Lord of the Aalameen, his affair is one of two: Corruption in Knowledge or Corruption in his Intent– corruption in knowledge occurs as a result of following conjecture and corruption in one’s intent occurs as a result of following desires, or the person may combine both of them.

Another benefit derived from this verse is that the rectification or well-being of a person cannot be attained except by way of two affairs: Upright Knowledge and Upright Intent. This is why Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said in Miftaah Daarus Sa’aadah that a person is in need of two things: Sound Knowledge by way of which he is rightly guided and lofty aspiration by way of which he is urged towards that sound aspiration, because it maybe that a person has beneficial knowledge but not sound intent and aspiration. Therefore, one cannot be upright except by way of upright knowledge and intent. Sound knowledge is corrupted through following conjecture and sound intent is corrupted through following the desires of one’s soul. (3)

Imaam Abdur-Rahmaan Bin Naasir As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: And what is well known is that Allaah neither loves ignorance nor doubts, neither confusion nor misguidance; rather He loves the religion, knowledge and certainty. The Muslims are agreed upon the fact that doubt and confusion are unpraiseworthy, and it is expected that a person who does not possess knowledge of something is obligated to keep quiet and seek knowledge via its sound sources. (4)

As for the Muslim brotherhood, then indeed their affair is well known. Read here By Shaikh Abu Iyaad [may Allaah preserve him]: The other hidden face of the so called “Muslim Brotherhood”:

Injustice of Neocolonialists Should Not Lead to a Desperate Search For Another Path to Rectification Besides The Authentic Sunnah-[Brief Reminder to African Muslims]

Contemporary_Oppression_And_Exploitation

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Truly, We did offer Al-Amanah (the trust or moral responsibility or honesty and all the duties which Allah has ordained) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to bear it and were afraid of it (i.e. afraid of Allah’s Torment). But the human being bore it. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its results). [Surah Al-Ahzaab. Verse 72]

Abu Dharr [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Allaah – The Almighty – said, ‘O My servants! I have forbidden injustice for Myself and I have forbidden it among you, so do not oppress one another'”. [Saheeh Muslim 2577]

Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] said, “What is Dhulm -injustice or oppression? Dhulm [injustice (or oppression)] is of three types according to the people of knowledge (i.e. the scholars).

First: The greatest of them is shirk. And why is shirk referred as Dhulm [injustice]? That is because the basis of injustice is to place something in other than its rightful place. And the meaning of shirk is to direct acts of worship to other than its rightful place and this is the greatest injustice, because when they (i.e. the people of shirk) directed acts of worship to other than its rightful place and to those who are not deserving of it, they equated the created (beings) to the Creator and a weak one (i.e. a created being) to Al-Qawiy [The One Perfect in Strength (i.e. Allaah)], who is able to do everything. Therefore, is there any greater injustice after this?

The second type of Dhulm (oppression or injustice) is committed when a person oppresses himself by committing sins. A sinner oppresses himself because he exposes himself to punishment, even though it is obligated on him to save himself and place himself in an appropriate situation, and that is to obey Allaah etc

The third type of Dhulm (oppression or injustice) is committed when a person oppresses others (or commits injustice against them) by taking their wealth (unlawfully), backbiting them, spreading tales about them, stealing their wealth, violating their honour through backbiting, tale carrying, slander, or shedding their blood by way of unlawful murder, beating them, inflicting injuries, degrading them without right etc (1)

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): “Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc. i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah).” Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). [Surah An-Nahl. Aayah 36]

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said, “Shirk is the greatest sin that can be committed in disobedience to Allaah. The Prophets brought the greatest knowledge and that is the knowledge of Tawheed, and they warned against the greatest wrong doing and that is to ascribe partners to Allaah. Allaah said: [ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرۡكَ لَظُلۡمٌ عَظِيمٌ۬ – Verily! Associating partners to (Allaah in worship) is a great wrong indeed]”. [Surah Luqmaan’ Aayah 13] (2)

Allaah [The Most High] said:

حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّهِ غَيۡرَ مُشۡرِكِينَ بِهِۦ‌ۚ وَمَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخۡطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيۡرُ أَوۡ تَهۡوِى بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى مَكَانٍ۬ سَحِيقٍ۬

Hunafaa’ Lillaah [i.e. worship none but Allaah], not associating partners [in worship, etc.] with Him; and whoever associates partners to Allaah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far-off place]. [Surah Al-Hajj. Aayah 31]

[حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّهِ ]- Meaning: turn to Allaah [in complete submission], worship Allaah alone and turn away from other than that. [غَيۡرَ مُشۡرِكِينَ بِهِۦ‌ۚ – not associating partners (in worship, etc.) with Him]; [وَمَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ – and whoever associates partners to Allaah], then [فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخۡطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيۡرُ أَوۡ تَهۡوِى بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى مَكَانٍ۬ سَحِيقٍ۬ – it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place].

This is the situation of the one who ascribes partners to Allaah, because Eemaan is like the sky- protected and raised high, so whoever abandons Eemaan is like one who has fallen from the sky and is exposed to evil consequences and disasters- snatched by birds that will rip his limbs. Likewise, when the Mushrik abandons the protection of Eemaan, the devils snatch him from every direction and rip him apart, ruining both his religion and worldly life [i.e. because this worldly life is a place to perform righteous deeds for entry into paradise]. (3)

Allaah made it known in this Aayah that indeed the one who associates partners to Allaah and dies without repenting, then indeed he has fallen into destruction – neither has a way out of it nor can he be saved. He resembles someone who falls from the sky and lands on the earth and thus all his body is rip apart, then the birds snatch them away and the wind throws them to a far-off place due to the intense [manner in which the] wind blew his ripped body parts. So, whoever is described as one in such a situation, then indeed neither can he hope for a way out nor can he desire safety; rather he is definitely destroyed, because what normally happens is that the one who falls from the sky and lands on the earth does not reach the earth except that his body parts are ripped apart. The birds snatch his body parts and disperse with them, or the wind throws him to a far-away place, then this is an inevitable destruction and there is no way of avoiding it.

And that which is established in this noble Aayah – regarding the fact that the one who ascribes partners to Allaah is destroyed – has also been mentioned clearly in another place in the Qur’aan, such as the statement of Allaah:
[إِنَّهُ ۥ مَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَمَأۡوَٮٰهُ ٱلنَّارُ‌ۖ – Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode]. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. Aayah 72]

Allaah [The Exalted] said: [إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغۡفِرُ أَن يُشۡرَكَ بِهِ – Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship]. [Surah An-Nisaa Aayah 48]

And indeed there are other Aayaat [showing] that this inescapable destruction is related to the one who dies upon shirk and did not repent. As for the one who repents before death, then indeed Allaah forgives Him because Islaam [i.e. submission to Allaah with Tawheed] wipes away that which was before it [i.e. shirk]. There are a number of Aayaat that indicate to this, such as the statement of Allaah: [قُل لِّلَّذِينَ ڪَفَرُوٓاْ إِن يَنتَهُواْ يُغۡفَرۡ لَهُم مَّا قَدۡ سَلَفَ – Say to those who have disbelieved, if they cease (from disbelief) their past will be forgiven]. [Surah Al-Anfaal. Aayah 38]

And those who invoke not any other ilah (god) along with Allah, nor kill such life as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds..[Surah Al-Furqaan. Aayaat 68-70]

Allaah said: [وَإِنِّى لَغَفَّارٌ۬ لِّمَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحً۬ا – And verily, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds]. [Surah Taahaa. Aayah 82] However, if one’s repentance is at the time of death [i.e. when the soul reaches the throat], it will not benefit him. (4)
Always Remember That The Prophets Received The Greatest Hardship

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, “When (will come) the Help of Allah?” Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allah is near! [Surah Al-Baqarah. Verse 214]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated, “Whenever a Messenger is sent to the people, they find themselves in two situations: either some of them say, “We believe” or they refrain from saying “We believe”; rather they persist upon evil deeds. Those who say, “We believe” face trials and tests from their Lord [The Mighty and Majestic] to make known those who are truthful in [their belief] and those who are liars. The one who did not say, “We believe” should not think that he will not be put to trial and test, for indeed no one can escape Allaah [The Most High].

This is the way of Allaah – [based on perfect justice, perfect knowledge and perfect wisdom, and free from all imperfections, shortcomings, faults etc]. He sends Messengers to the people, but they belie and harm them. Allaah [The Most High] said: [كَذَٲلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُواْ سَاحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٌ – Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them, but they said: ‘’A sorcerer or a madman!’’ [Surah Adh-Dhaariyaat’ Aayah 52]

Those who believe in the Messengers and obey them are shown enmity and harmed [i.e. by those who belie the Messengers] and put to the test by way of what causes them pain; but those who do not believe in the Messengers will receive pain that is greater and more abiding. Therefore, every soul will encounter pain -whether it believes or disbelieves; but a believer encounters harm in the worldly life in the beginning [i.e. harmed by those who belie the Messengers due his or her firm belief in Allaah and worshipping Him alone, and adherence to the path of the Messengers]; then he [or she] receives praiseworthy outcomes [in this worldly life] and the Afterlife.

As for the one who disbelieves [i.e. the person who disbelieves in Allaah and His Messengers, or disbelieves in some of the Messengers, or rejects the path of Allaah and His Messengers], he [or she] receives blessings at first and pain thereafter. A man asked Imaam Ash-Shaafi’ee [may Allaah have mercy upon him], ‘What would be better – that one is granted strength and the authority to establish the path of Allaah and His Messengers without any hindrance from those who belie or oppose Allaah and His Messengers, or face trials (at first)?’ So, Ash- Shaafi’ee said to him, ‘One will not be given strength and the authority to follow the path of Allaah without any hindrance from those who belie or oppose Allaah and His Messengers until after facing trials; for indeed Allaah tried Nooh, Ibraaheem, Moosaa, Eesaa and Muhammad; so, after they exercised patience, they were granted authority and strength to establish the path of Allaah without hindrance’. Therefore, one should never think that he (or she) will escape pain. This is a great principle, therefore, it is obligated on a sane person to be acquainted with it. Everyone will face afflictions, for indeed a person is a social being who must live with [other] people; the people have wants [or desires, wishes etc] and perceptions, and will seek to make him agree with them. If he disagrees with them, they harm and punish him; but if he agrees with them, sometimes they harm him and at other times he is harmed by others'”. (5)

Oppression (or Injustice) Committed Between People In General

As for the Dhulm committed against one another in general, then indeed it as Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] stated, that it is “By taking wealth (unlawfully), backbiting, spreading tales, stealing wealth, violating honour through backbiting, tale carrying, slander, or shedding blood by way of unlawful murder, beating, inflicting injuries, degrading without right etc”. (6)

There is no doubt that this oppression has taken place during different eras in history. We read – in the history books – about the oppressive behaviour of the colonialists between the 15th and 18th centuries when they raided other lands, looted natural resources and transported millions of Africans to the US to work in the plantations. Listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfxUAtyYLJk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1wzrrY5N8g

Then after this barbaric enterprise was abolished, it was replaced with another barbaric enterprise – neocolonialism. So, in 1884, the colonialists met in Berlin and decided to share the colonies between themselves. Then came a time in which they decided to offer a so called independence to the colonies and amazing indeed was this offer! In one offer of independence, the colonialists said to the colonized, “We’ll grant you independence, but before doing so you must agree to the following: you must deposit 85% of your bank reserves with our ministry of finance – under our central bank. And with regards to all your discovered minerals or yet to be discovered, our companies have the ‘Right of First Refusal’. Your official language has to be our language, we’ll have a military presence in your country, your military can only be trained by our military, you can only buy military equipment from us, you cannot have any military alliance with your neighbours and in the event of war you must be on our side”. This was the independence offered! The money deposited in their ministry of finance was invested in their name and all the profits belonged to them. This is how some of them treated the colonies, yet they have the audacity to tell the whole world that the countries they’ve looted and oppressed for nearly over 400 years are poor- the very countries they continue to oppress economically. In addition to this, they constantly seek to demoralize the former colonies and give their economic situations different descriptions- sometimes refering to them as “The Third World”, the “Under-developed countries”, the “Developing Countries” etc. All these descriptions are utilized to demoralize the former colonies. Many of the neocolonialists talk about ethics, but how many are just in their mutual dealings?! Rather, self-interested individuals and groups do not give concern to anything other than finding ways and devising tactics to enslave the former colonies through usury. Read here: https://www.abukhadeejah.com/the-grave-crime-of-usury-and-interest-riba-based-transactions-what-is-allowed-and-what-is-not/

Indeed, it is impossible for countries that are always in bondage to lenders to take control of their economies, because as soon as a nation is heavily in debt, the lenders can easily gain the upper hand through Structural Adjustment Policies (SAPs), which secures repayment of the debt and forces a county to adopt economic restructuring. So, in some cases, the weaker nation is forced to reduce spending on essential social services, such as healthcare provision, education and development, whilst repayment of the debt is given priority, as well as the possibility of giving the lender an easy access to the country’s raw materials. This is well known and whoever researches will come across a lot that has been written on the subject matter. Indeed, there is no benefit in providing financial assistance that is going to permanently make a nation dependent on another nation due to usury. Debt is a heavy burden, let alone when accompanied with usury. Aa’isha [may Allaah be pleased with her] narrated that the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] used to invoke Allaah in the prayer [before the Tasleem] saying, “O Allaah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave and from the trial and affliction of Maseeh Ad-Dajjaal and from trial and affliction of life and death. O Allaah, I seek refuge with You from sins and from being in debt”. So somebody said to him, “Why do you so frequently seek refuge with Allaah from being in debt?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) replied, “A person in debt tells lies whenever he speaks, and breaks promises whenever he makes (them)]”. (7)

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] combined (in this supplication between seeking Allaah’s refuge) from sins and debt, because indeed sins necessitate loss in the afterlife and debt necessitates loss in the worldly life”. (8)

Trade: Also with regards to buying and selling, Shaikh Abdul Waahid Abu Khadeejah [may Allaah preserve him] stated: “The way that countries buy and sell with each other does not always help people in poor countries. Producers of crops like wheat and rice will usually sell to the country that will pay them the most for it, so poor countries cannot compete and therefore cannot buy crops to feed their people. So these poor people have to grow their own crops to feed themselves. In many poor countries the rich farmers grow cash crops such as fruit and flowers that they sell to rich countries and their profit often does not help the poor people. So the Muslim is always encouraged to give aid to those less fortunate, so that no one in the land remains hungry, unclothed or unsheltered. Islam has no problem with people becoming wealthy so long as the poor not are neglected; they must be taken care of, helped, educated and empowered to look after themselves. Wealthier Muslims are obligated to give in charity (zakāt) every year, and each Ramadān (zakāt al-fitr)”. (9)

Pay attention to what Shaikh Abu Khadeejah [may Allaah preserve him] stated above about empowering and educating poor people and what some of the greedy colonialists stated in the past! Cecil Rhodes stated: “We must find new lands from which we can easily obtain raw materials and at the same time exploit the cheap slave labour that is available from the natives of the colonies. The colonies would also provide a dumping ground for the surplus goods of our factories.” Nye Bevin stated: “Africa is a valuable source of manpower and raw materials. The US is very barren of essential minerals. In Africa we have them all.” Larry Summers stated: “I think the economic logic behind dumping a load of toxic waste in the lowest wage country is impeccable and we should face up to that.”

These were some of their views and its effects are still witnessed in our era in many previous colonies in Africa, Asia and elsewhere. This is the behaviour of a people mentioned in the Qur’aan. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Woe to Al-Mutaffifin [those who give less in measure and weight (decrease the rights of others)], those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure, and when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due. Think they not that they will be resurrected (for reckoning), on a Great Day, the Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? [Surah Al-Mutaffifeen]
Woe: It is a word of punishment and threat of divine vengeance to those who give less in measure. (10)

Qaadhi Iyaad [may Allah have mercy upon him] said that the word “Waylun- (Woe)” has some of the following meanings: It is used whilst referring to one who has fallen into destruction. It is used whilst referring to one who deserves destruction. It is used to refer to destruction itself. It is used to refer to the difficulty found in punishment. It is used to refer to grief. It is used to refer to a valley in the hell fire. (11)

Allah explained who the Mutaffifeen are in his statement: [الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ – Those who, when they have to receive by measure from people, demand full measure] -Meaning, they take from them in full what is established to be their due and demand in full without any loss.

[وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ -And when they have to give by measure or weight to people, give less than what is due] -Meaning, when they give the people what they are entitled to by way of measure or weight, they give them less- either by giving short measure or weight, or by not giving the full measure or weight, or by not filling the measuring or weighing equipment and what is similar that. This is tantamount to stealing the people’s wealth and not being fair to them. If this is the threat of divine vengeance against those who give short measure and short weight, then those who take people’s wealth by force or by stealing are more deserving of this threat than those who give short measure and short weight.

This noble Aayah shows that just as a person takes from the people what he is entitled to, it is also obligated on him to give them everything they are entitled to – whether related to wealth or mutual dealings. Then Allaah issued a threat to those who give short measure, stated with amazement regarding their state of affairs and their persistence upon what they are doing. Allah said:

Think they not that they will be resurrected (for reckoning), on a Great Day, the Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of all that exists – Meaning, what makes them dare to give short measure is because they do not believe in the Last Day, otherwise had they believed in it and known that they will stand before Allah to give account – whether related to something small or big, they would stopped and repent. (12)

Prophet Hud [peace be upon him] and His People

Allah [The Most High] said in Surah Hud Ayah 88 that Shu’aib [peace be upon him] said to his people:
[يَا قَوْمِ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّي – O my people! Tell me, if I have a clear evidence from my Lord]- Meaning: I am upon certainty and tranquillity regarding the correctness of [the Message] I have brought. [وَرَزَقَنِي مِنْهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنًا – and He (Allah) has given me a good sustenance from Himself]- Meaning: Allah has given me various types of wealth.

[وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُخَالِفَكُمْ إِلَىٰ مَا أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ – I wish not, in contradiction to you, to do that which I forbid you]- Meaning: I do not wish to forbid you from [the evil practice of giving lower in weight and Measure by way of cheating in business transactions], yet I myself do the same and eventually you will charge me for doing so; rather I will not forbid you from an affair except that I will be the first person to hasten to abandon it; [إِنْ أُرِيدُ إِلَّا الْإِصْلَاحَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ – I only desire reform so far as I am able, to the best of my power]- Meaning: I do not have any other intentions [goals or aims] other than to rectify your state of affairs and the things that are of benefit to you. And because this statement of Shu’aib contains something which may indicate that he is attributing piety to himself, he repels it with the statement [وَمَا تَوْفِيقِي إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ – And my guidance cannot come except from Allah]-Meaning: The ability I have to do good and to refrain from evil is a bestowal from Allah [The Most High] and it is neither due to my strength nor power; [عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ – in Him I trust and unto Him I repent]- Meaning: I rely on Allah in all my affairs and suffice myself with Him. I turn to Allah in all the various acts of worship He has commanded me to draw close to Him by performing good deeds. By way of these two affairs- seeking aid and assistance from Allah, turning to Him in repentance, complete submission and obedience- a person’s state of affairs becomes upright, just as Allah [The Most High] said in another Aayah: [فَاعْبُدْهُ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَيْهِ– So worship Him (O Muhammad) and put your trust in Him]. (13)
The affair of the colonialists and neocolonialists is nothing but what Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] that, “What type of progress is this? A progress whose people became like vicious wild animals and whose abiding practice is oppression, annihilation, colonization of weak nations and depriving them of their rights!” (14)

Many people are made to believe that the neolonialists sincerely want a solution to the problems of previous colonies, but they will never find a solution because their path is devoid of sound Eemaan. Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “They developed these affairs through a development that is disconnected and severed from submission to Allāh and the religion ordained by Allāh… it has caused harm and led its proponents to savagery and barbarism whose outcomes has been destruction, ruin and evils that has no comparison”. (15)

The Imaam also said, “Indeed, it is impossible to rectify the souls and acquire virtue solely through the worldly sciences. Experience and clearly witnessed circumstances are the greatest proofs regarding this affair, because despite its advancement and vastness it has been unable to nurture and rectify the souls. What the Religion of Islaam propagates is that which is entrusted with this rectification – it is what will guide the thoughts towards the truthful and authentic sources of knowledge, and guide the actions of the people towards good and prevent them from evil. Islam is The Rectifier of the Creeds and Manners- the thing that cultivates the thoughts [upon righteousness], urges towards virtuousness and prevents from depravity. The essence of that which the religion calls to regarding belief in the Unseen, which includes belief in Allaah and that which He possesses of Names, Attributes and Actions of perfection; belief in Angels, belief in recompense for one’s good and bad deeds in this life and the next, which cannot be known except through the Messengers, is what acquaints a person with the fact that rectification – in reality – is not possible through other than sound belief and the religion of Islaam. Therefore, even if the worldly sciences rectify [some] affairs based upon that which people know in detail, it will still not be equal [in perfection, excellence etc] to the knowledge of the Messengers [in the least]. It will neither reach that which is reached through the knowledge of the Messengers nor can it influence the souls in the manner in which the knowledge of the Messengers has done; for indeed the souls do not voluntarily submit except through belief in Allaah, belief in His Angels, belief in His Books, belief in His Messengers and belief in the hereafter. And without this, voluntary submission is impossible, as is well known regarding human nature”. (16)

Therefore, the African Muslim should know that neither success nor safety can be attained except through beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds. Success, honour and safety will not be attained through slogans and nationalism, rather it can only be attained through beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds. Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated:

“The causes of weakness, lack of progress and being dominated by the enemies are due to many reasons. And there emerges many factors from one factor, and this one reason and factor is being ignorant about Allaah, the religion He has ordained and the end results (of this ignorance) that has seized the majority, so knowledge became little and ignorance became rife. Affairs arose out of this ignorance, including (blameworthy) love of the worldly life and hatred of death; negligence towards the (obligatory) prayers and following (evil) desires; lack of preparation for the enemy, being pleased with acquiring their needs from their enemy, and lack of high aspiration to cater for their needs from their country and resources. Also splitting and differing resulted from this ignorance- an absence of (sound) unity, togetherness and cooperation.

This shows that the greatest cause of weakness is due to being ignorant about Allaah, ignorant about the religion ordained by Allaah and those realities which one is obligated to adhere to and take into account, and that is the statement of the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] in the authentic narration: ”If Allaah wishes good for a person, He gives them understanding in the religion”. Alongside this narration with the verses of the Qur’aan and other narrations, all of them show the filth of ignorance, its consequences and end results; rather the Noble Qur’an is filled with disapproval of ignorance and its people, and warning against them, as Allaah [The Exalted] said: [وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ – but most of them behave ignorantly]. [وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لا يَعْقِلُونَ – And most of them have no understanding], as well as other verses of the Qur’aan that dispraises being ignorant about Allaah and the religion He has ordained, being ignorant about the enemy and that which is obligated (on the Muslims) to prepare in terms of alertness, (sound) unity and cooperation.

And from this ignorance occurred splitting, (blameworthy) differing, inclining towards (evil) desires, negligence towards the prayer, neglecting what Allaah has obligated, lack of giving precedence to the Afterlife and not truthfully associating oneself with it; rather the majority does not give concern except to this present worldly life, just as Allaah said:

كَلا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ
وَتَذَرُونَ الْآخِرَةَ

But (you men) love the present life of this world and leave (neglect) the Hereafter. [Surah Al-Qiyaamah. 21-22]

And just Allaah [The Exalted] said:

فَأَمَّا مَنْ طَغَى
وَآثَرَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا
فَإِنَّ الْجَحِيمَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَى

Then, for him who transgressed all bounds and preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), verily, his abode will be Hell-fire. [Surah An-Naazi’aat. 37-39]

Therefore, the statement of the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him], ”If Allaah wishes good for a person, He gives them understanding in the religion” shows that one of the signs of goodness and happiness for the individual, the people and the state is that they seek understanding in the religion, because seeking understanding in the religion, learning and insight into what is obligated on them – at present and later – is one of the most obligatory duties, and in this is a sign that Allaah wishes good for them. And part of that – alongside making preparations for the enemy – is fulfilment of what Allaah has obligated, keeping away from what Allaah has made unlawful and confining oneself within the boundaries of Allaah’s ordainments.

Amongst the dangerous causes (of weakness)- their (bitter) fruits and what they necessitate – is that which has occurred in terms of weakness in the presence of the enemy and being delayed in everything – except what Allaah wills; inclining towards forbidden desires, preoccupation with what hinders from the path of Allaah and guidance, lack of preparation for the enemy in the arena of industry, not having sufficient weaponry that frightens the enemy, to help fight him, strive against him in Jihaad, taking one’s rights from him, not preparing the bodies for jihad and not spending money in what is obligatory (or befitting) to prepare for the enemy, guard against his evil, defend the religion and the homeland. The preparation is weak or non-existent and the goals are skewed, except that which Allaah wills.

Therefore, the path of success, the path of progress against the enemies and the absence of weakness in front of them, the path of prosperity and success, the path to obtaining lofty status and the lofty things that are to be sought after, victory over the enemies- the path to all of this is to embrace beneficial knowledge and sound understanding in the religion, give precedence to Alllaah’s pleasure over His displeasure, give close attention to what Allaah has obligated, abandon what Allaah has made unlawful and truthful repentance to Allaah from one’s sins and shortcomings.

Also there should be industry in the Muslim countries, preparation and strength that will enable every individual through every means, so that he has no need of the enemy – until the enemy knows what he has of preparation and talent, and so that the enemy is afraid of him, treats him fairly and gives him his rights. The bodies are to be prepared and should refrain from over-indulging in that type of luxury that will weaken strength and the hearts when required to fight the enemy, and so that one has strength to perform Jihaad. There should be full cooperation between the state and the people on what is required of obedience to Allaah and His Messenger, refraining from what Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] has forbidden and also cooperating on what is required to make preparations, just as Allaah [The Exalted] said: [وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ – And make ready against them all you can of power]. [Surah Al-Anfaal. Aayah 60]

It is necessary to prepare physically – prepare equipment (of defense and war), and other types of equipment in all respects so that we can suffice with what Allaah [Glorified be He] has given us and not to be in need of what our enemies have, because fighting our enemies with what they have in their hands is very difficult to obtain. If the enemy prevents you from acquiring weapons, then what do you fight with alongside poor insight and little knowledge? It is necessary to prepare what is possible, and what is possible is sufficient as long as the Muslims intend to do without their enemy, fight their enemy, save their country, intending to establish the command of Allaah in the land, and intending (to gain reward) in the Afterlife as much as they can, because indeed Allaah [Glorified and Exalted be He] says: [ وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ – And make ready against them all you can of power], but Allaah did not say, ”And make ready against them that which is equal to their power”, because that might not be possible to achieve.

If the Muslims are sincere, join hands, prepare for their enemy with as much as equipment they can and support the religion ordained by Allaah, then indeed Allaah [Glorified and Exalted be He] will support them, place them in front and above the enemy, and not under the enemy. Allaah – the One who is truthful in His speech and promise – said:
[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَنْصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنْصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ – O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm].

Allaah is neither unable nor in need of the people, but He puts His good servants to trial by way of the evil ones, so that the truthfulness of the truthful ones is distinguished from the lies of the liars, the one who truly strives in the path of Allaah is distinguished from others, and the one desirous of safety (in this life and the next) is distinguished from others. This is the reason, otherwise Allaah is able to aid His allies and destroy His enemies without war- without the need for Jihad, preparation and other things, as He [Glorified be He] says: [ذَلِكَ وَلَوْ يَشَاءُ اللَّهُ لانْتَصَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَلَكِنْ لِيَبْلُوَ بَعْضَكُمْ بِبَعْضٍ – but if it had been Allah’s Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (He lets you fight), in order to test you, some with others]. [Surah Muhammad. Aayah 4] (17)

Saudi King Abdul Azeez [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “O Muslims! It is obligatory that we hold onto the Rope of Allaah (i.e. the Qur’aan), follow the Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger Muhammad [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him], follow the guidance of the Messenger, act on Allaah’s orders and keep away from what Allaah has forbidden. Indeed, every speech that is not followed by action is false. There can be no rectification for the Muslims except through their unity in singling out their Lord in [His Lordship, Names and Attributes and worshipping Him alone and associate none to Him as a partner in Worship]. (And with regards to) every differing that leads to splitting and division, the Religion commands us to hold onto Allaah’s Sharee’ah, enjoin one another with the truth and patience, just as Allaah [The Most High] commanded us in the Qur’aan. We should be truly acquainted with our Lord and seek His Aid and Assistance. We do not fear except the (consequences of) our sins and it is obligated on the Muslims to follow Allaah’s Religion and obey all that Allaah has ordered- practically. In this is the (means of) rectifying their worldly affairs and the upright establishment of all their (other) affairs”. (18)

Saudi King Abdul Azeez Bin Abdir-Rahmaan [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “The foundation of the Islamic Creed is the Book of Allaah, the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and that which the companions of Muhammad were upon; then the pious predecessors after them, and then after them the four Imaams of the Muslims, Imaam Maalik, Imaam Shaafi’ee, Imaam Ahmad and Imaam Aboo Haneefah. The creed of these people is one in the foundation of the religion, and that is the three categories of Tawheed: The Oneness of Allaah in His Lordship, the Oneness of Allaah in that He (alone) has the right to be worshipped and His Oneness in His Names and Attributes”. (19)

Saudi King Faysal Bin Abdul Azeez [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Our religion Islaam is the correct Religion, which falsehood can neither approach in front or behind it. And we refute the one who claims that there is neither social organization nor economics and cultivation within it”.

“We are callers to the word of Allaah [i.e. none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah]. We are callers so that the Religion of Allaah becomes dominant over everything else and we are not harmed by those who fabricate lies against us with that which we do not intend. Our orientation is clear”.

“If we wish to be nurtured upon goodness in everything- in the religious and worldly affairs; then it is obligated on us to hold unto this belief (of the pious predecessors], and that we follow that which Allaah revealed through the tongue of His Messenger (i.e. the Qur’aan) and to that which His Messenger commanded. And with this, we are guaranteed a good life for ourselves, nobility and protection, and honor only comes from Allaah. Allaah said:

Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) in this world’s life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth, (i.e. Day of Resurrection)]. [Soorah Ghaafir Ayah: 51].

And Allaah (The Most High) said: [وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيۡنَا نَصۡرُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ – And (as for) the believers it was incumbent upon Us to help (them)]. [Soorah Ar-Rum. Aayah 47]

However, the most important affair in this is that we (strive to be) true believers. So if we are true believers, then by the Might of Allaah we will be guaranteed help, safety and security, ease and nobility for us and our society”. (20)
Saudi King Abdul Azeez [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated, “Indeed, we do not seek after the revival (or reformation) that will deprive us of our (sound) religion and creed; rather we seek after the pleasure of Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic]. Whoever acts to seek the pleasure of Allaah, then indeed Allaah will suffice him and will be his Helper. The Muslims are not in need due to lack of reformation, rather they are in need of returning to that which the Salafus Saaleh [pious predecessors] were upon. Indeed, they distanced (themselves) from acting on that which has been revealed in the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger, then they became immersed in evil and sins; so Allaah forsook them and thus they got to this situation – humiliation and degradation. Had they adhered to the book of Allaah and the Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger, they would not have been afflicted with what has afflicted them – trials and sins- and they would not have lost their honor and (days of) glory”. (21)

NB: We remind ourselves of the fact that king Abdul Azeez [may Allaah have mercy upon him] is pointing out the reason behind the weakness of the Ummah, but his observations neither calls for pessimism nor hopelessness and despair, rather it is a clarification of the main reason that led us to this state of affairs. However, guidance will remain until the hour is established. Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] said, “(A person) should not lose hope when trials and evil increases. Indeed, he has to remain upon tranquility and should make others tranquil when trials occur, and he should say: ‘’All Praise is due to Allaah, we are upon guidance and a clear Religion. Solace is close by and evil will cease to exist by the permission of Allaah’’ This is what is incumbent upon THE PEOPLE OF GOOD AND THE SCHOLARS–that they have tranquility and make the people tranquil; because this (EVIL) is something that will cease to exist by the permission of Allaah and solace will come after it. It is not permissible for a person to say: ‘’the people are destroyed.’’ This is not permissible; rather (a person) should make the people tranquil, firm upon goodness, whilst expecting assistance, for indeed the good end is for the people of piety. Therefore, no matter how great the evil and trial is, it will cease to exist. He (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘’A group of my followers will remain manifest upon the truth. They will neither be harmed by those who forsake them nor by those who oppose them till Allaah’s command arrives.” [i.e. the day of judgement] [Bukhari and Muslim]

Therefore, Islaam will not cease to continue and all praise be to Allaah. The Religion and the Qur’aan will not cease to exist until that appointed time which the Prophet has informed us of – that at the end of time the Qur’aan will be taken away from the hearts of men and from the masaahif (i.e. the copies of the Qur’aan); but this will be at the time of the destruction of the world. (However) good will continue to exist whilst the Qur’an, the Sunnah and the Qiblah are present, even though there is one who is led away from it and becomes misguided; and even though there is one who deviates from it and becomes deviated, as the saying goes: ‘’Fitnah has its victims’’. It takes away the one who goes with it; but the people of Eemaan will remain even if they are small in number. Even if there is one who goes along with the Fitnah, and the one who goes astray and the one who comes along with it, (still) the truth and its people will remain and all praise be to Allaah. The truth is present, as Allaah (The Exalted and Most High) said:[إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ – Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur’an) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption) 15:9]

A person should not lose hope nor should he despair. He should not make the people lose hope of a return to goodness. He should not make the people lose hope regarding (the fact) that truth will prevail and falsehood will be repelled because Allaah (Glorified and Exalted Be He) has made that promise and He does not fail to fulfill His promise. Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy upon him) said: ‘’The Religion is aided when put to the test; therefore do not be amazed for this is the way of Ar-Rahmaan (The Most Merciful)”. (22)

Rectification of Modern Society

Rectification of Modern Societies – By Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [rahimahullaah]

The Divide and Rule Strategy of The Neocolonialists Is An Old game

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Verily, Fir’aun (Pharaoh) exalted himself in the land and made its people sects, weakening (oppressing) a group (i.e. Children of Israel) among them, killing their sons, and letting their females live. Verily, he was of the Mufsidoon]. [Surah Al-Qasas. Aayah 4]

[وَجَعَلَ أَهۡلَهَا شِيَعً۬ا – and made its people sects]- Meaning: Different group that were organized and distinguished, and he utilised each group in that which he desired in his kingdom. (23) He made them into sects and different groups to serve him and they went along with what he wanted and obeyed him. (24) He made them into different distinct groups, dealt with them based on his evil desires and subjugated them as he wanted by means of his power and authority. (25) He divided them into different sects and they went along with him in everything he desired of evil and corruption, or he used some as a means to get others to obey him; or he made them into different distinct groups under his service and used every group in some type of work, such as construction, tillage, earthwork [drilling etc] and other burdensome work, and whoever did not work was beaten, so they served him by doing so; or he made them into sects and incited hatred and enmity between them, so that they do not come to an agreement [or become united in their stance against him]. (26)

[ إِنَّهُ ۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ – Verily, he was of the Mufsidoon]- Meaning: Those whose intention is neither to rectify the religious nor worldly affairs, and this was from his corrupt behaviour in the earth; (27) committing unlawful killing and being disobedient to Allaah. (28)

None has the right to employ this strategy to oppress any nation, therefore we ask Allaah to repel the oppression of the neocolonialists, so that the oppressed are given their rights- regardless their colour, tribe, clan or country. As for the kaarijites (terrorists) of Africa, then indeed their path is not Islam, rather it is corruption. Therefore, we remind them as follows: Salafi Shaikh Fawzaan on Jihaad in our times and the guidelines of Jihaad according to Islam:
