[11.2] Abu Makkah’s Companion Opens a Can of Worms

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Muhammad Abdur-Razzaaq stated:

Imaam Ahmad [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated in a letter to the Khaleefah Al-Mutawakkil [may Allah have mercy upon him], “Among other things, it is not permissible to seek the aid and assistance of Ahlul Bid’ah Wal-Ahwaa [the people of Bidah and vain desires] in anything regarding the affairs of the Muslims because that is of greater harm upon the religion”. [1]

We ask Muhammad: Is there anything that a supporter of bid’ah would accomplish that the Scholars of Sunnah of our time haven’t already done, whether through their speech, publications, refutations, or the clarifications of their upright students in the East and the West?! In addition to the fact that this person still upholds his bid’ah, does Islam need a proponent of bid’ah to defend anything on its behalf?! Is it not more important for a proponent of Bid’ah in the East or West to give up his Bid’ah than to refute the Kuffaar, which has been done for many years and is still being done by upright people of Sunnah?! Can Muhammad guarantee that applauding any proponent of Bidah will not garner him more esteem and make the people more inclined towards him, making him a greater trial and evil for the common people and those duped by him?!

Imam Ash-Shaatibee [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “Indeed, showing reverence to a person of Bid’ah is the basis of two corruptions that lead to the destruction of Islam. One of them is that the ignorant and the common people will pay attention to that reverence, and believe that the Mubtadi is the best of people and that what he is doing is better than what others are doing, so this leads them to follow him in his Bida’ah and not follow Ahlus Sunnah in their adherence to Sunnah. The second affair is that if he is shown reverence due to his Bid’ah, this would become like the spur for him to initiate Bid’ah in everything. And whatever the case may be, Bida’ah will become alive and the Sunan dies, which is the destruction of Islam itself”. [2]

Finally, Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali [may Allah preserve him] stated: Being mindful of Ahlul Bid’ah, having hatred for them, boycotting and cutting them off is the correct path of protection of Ahlus Sunnah against falling into their Fitnah. Being lackadaisical about them, having a good suspicion of them, and inclining towards them is the beginning of the path of misguidance and deviation.

And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the fire should touch you.
Surah Hud. Ayah 113

Who is more unjust than Ahlul Bid’ah? Ahlul Bid’ah are more evil than the sinners and the disobedient, and for that reason, the Jusrist of Basra and the most intelligent of them Salaam Bin Abee Mutee [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “It is more beloved to me that I meet Allah with Hajjaaj’s scroll of (deeds in the Hereafter) than meet Him with Amr Bin Ubaid’s”. Amr Bin Ubaid was a Zaahid and a worshipper Maashaa-Allaah, but he was a Mubtadi and a misguided one, and Hajjaaj was an evil-doer, a shedder of blood, and a criminal. He [Salaam Bin Abee Mutee] held that if he were to make a choice between meeting Allah with Hajjaaj’s scroll and that of Amr Bin Ubaid, he would choose to meet Allah with Hajjaaj’s -the bloodshedder and oppressive evil doer. And why is this? Due to his realisation of the danger and ugliness of bid’ah. And it is enough for us that the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] described (bidah) in his khutbah as the worst of all affairs, as reported in the Hadeeth of Jaabir [may Allah be pleased with him]. [3]

Question to Muhammad: We are all aware that Zuhd and commitment to worship are virtues adored by the Ummah, and those who possess these outstanding traits are held in high regard; therefore, why did Salaam Bin Abee Mutee regard the Mubtadi’ah in such a way that a Zaahid and dedicated worshipper was not honoured in his eyes?! The answer is very clear for everyone to see.

[11.1] Abu Makkah’s Companion Opens a Can of Worms

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Muhammad Abdur-Razzaaq stated:

First, if what is intended in Muhammad’s statement is someone who has bidah, but he deserves an excuse based on what the upright people of knowledge – those who are well-acquainted with his affair – know about him in detail, as well as the fact that the clear proofs have not been established against him, then indeed, here is what is said about such a person: “Someone who was from Ahlus-Sunnah, well known for seeking the truth but he fell into a subtle bid‘ah. So if this person dies, then it is not permitted to make tabdī’ of him, rather he is mentioned with good. And if he is alive, he is advised and the truth is made clear to him, and one does not hasten to make tabdī’ of him, but if he persists [upon innovation], then he is declared an innovator. Shaikhul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah, died 728H) stated: “There are many from the Mujtahidīn (Scholars) of the Salaf and of later times who spoke with and acted upon innovation whilst not knowing it to be an innovation. This was either due to weak ahadīth that they thought were authentic, or Quranic Verses they understood in an incorrect manner, or due to an opinion one would hold in an issue because the texts had not reached him. So if a man fears his Lord to the best of his ability, he enters into the saying of Allāh: “Our Lord, do not take us to account if we are forgetful or mistaken.” And there occurs in a hadīth that Allāh stated [in response]: “I have done so.” And this matter has been explained in another place”. [1]

Second, if what is intended in Muhammad’s statement is one who is not known to be from Ahlus Sunnah as well as the fact that he is a caller to Bidah and he has no excuse, then indeed, the affair is even more serious.

Third, if what is intended is an ignorant person, then indeed, everyone knows that such a one should be reminded that some of the Scholars stated “Silence beautifies the Scholar and conceals the ignorance of the ignoramus”.

However, regardless of who this person may be, the first, the second, or the third, it is not allowed to mention the people of Bidah with praise. Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] said: “It is not permissible to exalt and praise the proponents of Bidah even if they have some truth with them. That is because raising and praising them will spread their bidah and place them amongst the sincere ones who are taken as examples amongst distinguished men of this Ummah. The proponents of Bidah must be warned against and shunned even if they have some truth with them. Indeed, the most astray are not devoid of some truth, but as long as they have Bidah with them and sinful views, it is not permissible to praise and exalt them. It is impermissible not to have an objection against their Bidah because this spreads bidah, belittles the Sunnah and by way of this, the Mubtadi will emerge and become a guide for the Ummah. As for the consideration that the Mubtadi has some truth, this does not justify praising him. This -to a far greater extent- is against what is of overriding benefit, and it is known based on a principle in the religion that preventing harm takes precedence over seeking that which is of benefit. With regard to having hatred for the Mubtadi, the harm that is repelled from the Ummah is weightier than the benefit possessed by the Mubtadi. And had we adhered to this [praising an innovator because he has some truth with him], then no one would have been judged to be misguided and declared a Mubtadi because there is not a Mubtadi except that he has some truth and adherence to the Sunnah. The Mubtadi may neither be a disbeliever nor in opposition to all the Islamic legislation; rather he is either a Mubtadi in some or most of the affairs. (Footnote a) However, if the Bidah is particularly related to affairs of Creed and Methodology, then it is dangerous indeed because it will become an example (to be followed), Bidah will spread and the Mubtadi’ah will become active in spreading their Bidah. Therefore, this person who praises Mubtadi’ah and makes their affair obscure to the people -due to some truth they have – is one of two: either one ignorant of the methodology of the pious predecessors and their stance against the Mubtadi’ah, and it is neither permissible for this ignorant one to speak nor is it permissible for the Muslims to listen to him; or he is one who has an objection to the truth because he knows the danger of Bidah and the Mubtadi’ah, but he wishes to spread Bidah. Nevertheless, this is a dangerous affair and it is not permissible to be lackadaisical with regard to Bidah and its adherents whatever that may be. [2]

Finally, Muhammad has not made it known the specific individual intended in his statement so that the affair of such one is scrutinised based on what the upright Scholars or elder students of knowledge know about him in detail.

Abu Qilaabah said, “May Allaah fight the poet [an expression of amazement in Arabic] who said: Do not ask about a man, but ask about his companion. For every person guides himself by his companion. This poetry is by Adee bin Zaid, and al-Asma’ee said about it, “I have never seen a line of poetry which resembles the Sunnah more than this saying of Adee bin Zaid.” Al-Ibaanah (2/439)

Abu Hurairah – radiallaahu anhu – said, the Messenger of Allaah said, “A person is upon the deen of his friend, so let each one of you look at whom he befriends.” Saheeh. Refer to Silsilah as-Saheehah of al-Albaani (no.927)

Ibn Mas’ood – radiallaahu anhu – said, “Indeed a person walks alongside and accompanies the one whom he loves and who is like him.” Al-Ibaanah (2/476)

Abu ad-Dardaa – radiallaahu anhu – said, “It is from the fiqh (understanding of a person) that he [chooses] those whom he walks with, whom he enters upon (visits) and whom he sits with.” Al-Ibaanah (2/477)

Imaam Al-Awzaa’ee said, “Whoever hides his innovation from us will not be able to hide his companionship from us.” Al-Ibaanah (2/476)

Al-A’mash said, “They (the Salaf) did not used to ask anything more about a person after having asked about three affairs: Who he walks with, who he enters upon (i.e. visits) and who he associates with amongst the people.” Al-Ibaanah (2/478)

Abdullaah bin Mas’ood -radiallaahu anhu – said, “Make consideration of the (regions of the) Earth by the names given to them and make consideration of a person by his companion.” Al-Ibaanah (2/479)

Muhammad bin Ubaid al-Ghulaabee said, “The Ahl ul-Ahwaa (People of Desires) hide everything except their intimate friendship and companionship.” Al-Ibaanah (2/482)

Mu’aadh bin Mu’aadh said to Yahyaa bin Sa’eed, “O Abu Sa’eed! A person may hide his viewpoint from us, but he will not be able to hide that in his son, or his friend or in the one whom he sits with.” Al-Ibaanah (2/437)

Ibn Awn said, “Those who sit with the People of Innovation are more severe upon us than the People of Innovation themselves.” Al-Ibaanah (2/273). [3]

Al-Allaamah Ubaid Bin Abdillah Al-Jaabiri [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “If a person’s affair is hidden from you, the one whose books and cassettes are well-known and whose popularity is widespread, then ask those who are well acquainted with him and his situation. Neither the Sunnah nor its adherents are hidden, and a man’s Tazkiyah is his own deeds – his Tazkiyah is his own deeds that he is an adherent to the Sunnah. It is the witness, and people refer to him with it both during his life and after his death”. [4]

Footnote a: Bidah Al-Mukaffirah and Bidah Al-Mufassiqah:

Bidah Al-Mukaffirah: It is the Bidah that is tantamount to disbelief. Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali (may Allaah preserve him) was asked whether there is a difference between Bidah Al-Mukaffirah and Bidah Al-Mufassiqah; so Shaikh said that there is Bidah Mukaffirah, such as rejecting the Ruyah (i.e. denying that the believers will see Allaah in the afterlife); rejecting Allaah’s Uluww [i.e. denying that Allaah is above his creation –Allaah ascended over the Throne in a way that benefits his majesty)]; invoking other than Allaah; offering slaughtered sacrifice (i.e. animals) to other than Allaah etc. These are affairs of Bidah Al-Mukaffirah (the bidah that is tantamount to disbelief).

But we do not make Takfeer of the people who commit this type of Bidah until we establish the proof against them. That is because some of them (i.e. the people who fall into these affairs) carry doubts and are far away from the era of Prophethood and its light (i.e. guidance). So they fall into the likes of these innovations.

Rejecting the Ruyah is disbelief; rejecting Allaah’s Uluww is disbelief; the saying that the Qur’an is created is disbelief-major disbelief. But this person, -[who testifies that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allaah, and he prays, observes fasting, wants paradise and believes in that] -received the doubts of the people of falsehood, so he falls into the likes of these affairs (i.e. these innovations that are tantamount to disbelief). So we say to him: You have fallen into disbelief and the evidence is this and this, and we clarify for him. So if Allaah grants him Tawfeeq and he returns to the truth, then all praise is due to Allaah. But if not, we declare him a disbeliever after establishing the proofs against him.

As for Bidah Al-Mufassiqah it is other than this (i.e. it is not at the level of that which is tantamount to disbelief)…. http://www.rabee.net/ar/questions.php?cat=26&id=484 ]

The questioner asked Imaam Al-Albaani about migration and the issue of Palestine – [Part 4]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said: “Indeed, the scholars are the inheritors of the prophets, for the prophets do not leave behind a dinar or a dirham for inheritance, but rather, they leave behind knowledge. So whoever takes hold of it, has acquired a large share (i.e. of inheritance)”. [Sunan At-Tirmidhee 2682]

Discussion Begins

Questioner: Another question: What is obligated to the people of Palestine to do in this era time and what is the ruling?

The Shaikh: What is obligated to whom?

Questioner: What is the ruling on the people of Palestine in this era and what is the ruling regarding the land they are in?

The Shaikh: They are between two affairs. Whoever among them can migrate to an Islamic country to save his religion and himself, this is his obligation. As for whoever cannot, he must be patient just as the weak were patient at the beginning of the Islamic era in Makkah. This was the obligation of everyone who was there.

Questioner: What is the ruling regarding the land they are in?

The Shaikh: The ruling of?

Questioner: Ruling regarding the land they are in?

The Shaikh: It is land that is governed based on (the laws) of disbelief (i.e. the Zionists). If there were Muslims there, it would have been obligated to fight them until the country is returned to its Muslim people. [Footnote a]

Questioner: Another question: If the lands around them are not governed by what Allah has revealed, then their migration will be from one land of disbelief to another land of disbelief, but if not, then from the land of disbelief to the land of Islam.

The Shaikh: No, they are not the same. These are Islamic countries, even if there is a ruling in it, as you all know, in many aspects that are in opposition to Islam, but over there (i.e. land of the Yahood) the ruling is the ruling of an unbeliever. If the two are compared (i.e. the land stolen by the Yahood in Palestine in comparison to the Muslim countries where some rulings oppose Islam), then the ruling (in land stolen by the Yahood) is Jewish, but here (in this case regarding Muslim lands) the matter is not like that, so it is not permissible to compare this country to that, and this is as Ibn Hazm stated. If this analogy were (to be considered) correct, it would have been the sum and substance of falsehood. To compare Islamic countries that are governed by Islamic ruling, even if it has (the mistakes committed by the rulers), it is not the same as the ruling based on the Tawraat or the Injeel, or any law that opposes all the revealed divine laws. [Footnote b]

The Shaikh continued regarding Hijrah: It does not mean that they exit as non-migrants, but rather that they should leave, firstly, as migrants, and secondly, not to stay in (another) land permanently, but rather to do their best, each one to the best of his ability, within the limits of his capabilities, to return to their country, powerful and victorious over the enemies, and not be an easy target for the Yahood.

This point should be noted that when we speak about migration, we do not mean to settle (permanently) in (another) land, but rather for each one of them to reflect and do what he can in order to return to his country, whether in the near or distant future. This is in the hand of Allah [The Mighty and Majestic].

A Treatise on Ruling by Other than What Allaah has Revealed- By Shaikh `Abdus-Salam al-Burjis [may Allah have mercy upon him]:

https://salafipublications.com/sps/sp.cfm?subsecID=MNJ05&articleID=MNJ050003&articlePages=6

The questioner asked Imaam Al-Albaani about migration and the issue of Palestine – [Part 3]

The Conversation Begins

Questioner: But is the issue of (jihad and intention) not required – at present – that all Muslims perform Jihad even in Palestine- inside Palestine?

The Shaikh: This question is also completely on my side. Who is performing jihad? O, my brother! You do not know your situation here. Do you not know that the Yahood at present made it forbidden by (their) law for Muslims to fight (on behalf of the Palestinians)?

Questioner: Yes, well known.

The Shaikh: Then why do you ignore the real state of affairs?

Questioner: I do not want to ignore (the real state of affairs).

The Shaikh: You say that it is not obligatory, but there is Jihad and intention. Now we must take a position: is Jihad to be performed based on the excitement of a person, (one with) neither with a state nor is he a ruler, nor is he a soldier, but rather an excited young man? Is this Jihad in the path of Allah? Allah [The Exalted] said:

و أعدّوا لهم ما استطعتم من قوة و من رباط الخيل ترهبون به عدو الله و عدوّكم

And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy. [Surah Al-Anfaal. Ayah 60]

This address, first of all, is to whom? We presented this research in several audio tapes. Is the statement “Make ready” an address to the believers? Where are the believers? Those who consume usury, turn their backs on one another, argue with each other, and engage in illegal partisanship – each party rejoicing with what they have?! We must look at the issue fundamentally, where do we start? Do we start with Jihaad? Who is performing the Jihaad?

Questioner: “Those who believed and migrated and strove (hard and fought in Allah’s Cause).

The Shaikh: Where are they?
Questioner: The first thing is Imaan, then migration.

The Shaikh: This is it, so we begin with Imaan. We begin with Imaan, may Allah bless you. Do not reflect on the conclusion, (which is) to strive (in Allah’s Cause). Jihaad begins when the souls are prepared for jihad for the sake of Allah. The Messenger [peace be upon him] said, “The Mujaahid is he who strives against his (vain) desires for the sake of Allah”. Are Muslims today striving against their (vain) desires – for the sake of Allah – whilst sinful behaviour is rife, immorality, women unveiling, dealing in usury, etc.? Therefore, we have two terms that must be fulfilled: Tasfiyah [purification of the beliefs, methodology, texts, etc] and Tarbiyah [nurture and educate ourselves upon this pure path]. Today’s Muslims do not understand Islam correctly, starting with knowing who Allah is. They do not know Allah in the manner He made Himself known in His Book (the Qur’an) and the hadith of His Prophet. They do not know their Prophet, that is, his rulings, his Sunnah, and so on. Therefore, we are very far from Jihaad, the (true) Jihad (to be performed) against the (hostile) unbelievers. And before I miss this (comment), do you think that the Yahood will be expelled by the people of Palestine, and we see – regarding the people of Palestine – every day that a group is slaughtered like lambs while the government forces are watching? It is not these (one who will defeat the oppressive Yahood), but when Muslims return to their religion and nurture themselves correctly- nurtured upon Imaan, and ready militarily because Allah says: “And make ready”. Who is this addressed to?

Questioner: The believers.

The Shaikh: It is addressed to the believers to “Make ready against them (i.e. the enemies) all you can of power”. Are we able – today- to make ready (against them weaponry) even if we are believers? (i.e. due to the fact that the Ummah needs to return to complete obedience to Allah and His Messenger first and foremost). [Footnote a]

Questioner: No.

The Shaikh: So, let us try to establish what we are able to do, and that is to be believers; believe in what is stated in the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and act according to what is stated in the Qur’an and the Sunnah based on our ability. I say on many occasions like this that many young people who are now excited have channeled their efforts toward Jihaad against their Muslim rulers. Those who are called Jamaa’ah At-Takfeer, for example, want to fight the Muslim rulers. My beloved brother, fight against yourself before everything else. You forget yourself and fight others?!

Questioner: Hizbut-Tahrir. [Footnote b]

The Shaikh: Hizb ut-Tahrir, Jamaa’ah At-takfeer Wal-Hijrah in Egypt, and so on. What I intend to say is that these people forget themselves and become preoccupied with their rulers, while the opposite (of what they abandon) is the correct thing. What did Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] first start with? He began by calling people to testify that “There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah”. Those who – at present – want to strive against the rulers have not started from where the Messenger [peace and blessings be upon him] started. Due to this, there is no benefit in researching, arguing, partisanship, and gathering if it is not what Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings be upon him] followed. And with regards to us, it has been a period of 15 centuries between us and the Messenger, so we must (adopt) Tasfiyah and Tarbiyah. At present if you ask a question we consider to be one that we have received from our Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] when he asked the slave girl: Where is Allah? Ask the Muslims today (i.e. many of the deviated sects), and they will tell you that Allah is everywhere, etc. [Footnote c]

Questioner: God forbid.

The Shaikh: You and I say, “God forbid”, and praise be to Allah that Allah has guided us, but those with whom you will perform Jihaad and fight alongside with will fight you because you say this statement, if only you knew! Therefore, may Allah bless you, migration is obligatory for everyone who is able, and this is a must for him. This is a Shariah ruling, (but) as for one who is not able, Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear.

Questioner: We make it brief, InShaaAllah. The man will tell you that the meaning of this (statement of yours) is that “We abandon the land of Palestine to the Yahood to wreak havoc and have fun in it as they please”.

The Shaikh: Is it better than we abandon ourselves to the Yahood like sheep (to be slaughtered)? O, my brother! May Allah bless you. One of the Islamic principles is that if a Muslim is faced with two evils, he chooses the lesser of them.

Questioner: May Allah bless you.

The Shaikh: This is the first affair, and secondly, it cannot be imagined that the statement of truth will be embraced by every Muslim, and If that were the case, you would not have found this delay (in education and cultivation, true Jihaad, etc)

To be continued…InShaaAllah

The next discussion between the Shaikh and the questioner is specifically about advice to the Muslims of Palestine.

Evidence For Allaah’s Uluww (aboveness) – Abu Iyaad

[2] Weaponising Necessities – [Food, Water, etc]- Is a Methodology of contemporary unbelievers adopted from ancient unbelievers

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

Have you not seen (contemplated with your heart) him who disputed with Ibrahim (Abraham) about his Lord (Allah), because Allah had given him the kingdom? When Ibrahim (Abraham) said (to him): “My Lord (Allah) is He Who gives life and causes death.” He said, “I give life and cause death.” Ibrahim (Abraham) said, “Verily! Allah causes the sun to rise from the east; then cause it you to rise from the west.” So the disbeliever was utterly defeated. And Allah guides not the people, who are Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.). [Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayah 258]

Imaam Al-Baghawi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: They (Qur’an commentators) hold a difference of opinion about the time of this debate. Muqatil [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said that when Ibraahim [peace be upon him] broke the idols, Namrood imprisoned him, then took him out to burn him with fire. He said to him, “Who is your Lord that you call us to worship?” Ibraaheem [peace be upon him] said, “My Lord is the one who gives life and causes death”. Other (Qur’an commentators) say that this was after he was thrown into the fire, then people were afflicted with drought and they used to come to Namrood to get some food, and if a man came to him looking for food, he asked him, “Who is your Lord?” If the man said, “You are my Lord”, he would offer to sell him food. (1)

[أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِى حَآجَّ إِبۡرَٲهِـۧمَ فِى رَبِّهِۦۤ – Have you seen (contemplated with your heart and eyes) him who disputed with Ibrahim (Abraham) about his Lord (Allah)]- Meaning, his insolence, ignorant attitude and obstinacy, and arguing regarding that which there is no doubt?! Nothing led him to this behaviour except because “Allah had given him the kingdom”, so he transgressed and rebelled, and considered himself as one in control of those under his authority, which led him to argue with Prophet Ibraaheem about Allaah’s Lordship and claimed that he can do the same thing as Allaah does. Prophet Ibraheem said to him, “My Lord is He Who gives life and death” – Meaning, Allaah alone is in absolute control of everything; then Ibraaheem mentioned two specific affairs – life and death because they are the greatest things in Allaah’s absolute control. That is because granting life is the beginning of the worldly life and death is the beginning of that which is to occur in the afterlife. So, the one who sought to argue against Ibraaheem said, “I give life and cause death”, but never said, “I am The One Who gives life and death” because he could not claim that he was not in need of anyone to interfere in the affair; rather he only claimed that he could do what Allaah does by killing someone and sparing someone’s life. Prophet Ibraaheem saw the fallacy in his argument and his utterance of speech that is not even worthy of being a Shubhah (i.e. an ambiguity portrayed as wholesome truth) let alone a proof, so he said to him, “Verily! Allah causes the sun to rise from the east”- Meaning, Ibraaheem [peace be upon him] mentioned something that can be clearly seen and affirmed by everyone including this disbeliever; “Then cause it you to rise from the west”- Meaning, this compelled him to bring proof if he was truthful in his claim. So, when Ibraaheem uttered this to him about which he neither had the ability to present an ambiguity to make Ibraaheem’s proof look confusing nor could he find something to disparage it, he was utterly defeated – lost for an answer, his proof cut off and his ambiguous statement toppled. (2) He Who brings life and death (Allaah) has absolute control over existence and creates everything that is in it, including absolute control of its planets and their movements. The sun rises every day from the east, so if you were god, as you claim, who gives life and causes death, then make the sun rise from the west. (3) This is the situation of an obstinate falsifier who wants to confront the truth and overcome it because he will be defeated and subdued. This is why Allaah said: [وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَہۡدِى ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ – And Allah guides not the people, who are Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.)]; rather He abandons them to their disbelief and misguidance. The questioner asked Imaam Al-Albaani about migration and the issue of Palestine – [Part 2]

The Conversation Begins

Questioner: May Allah bless you. The issue of Palestine is a special issue and has some peculiarities. It is possible to use as evidence the hadith found in the book Al-Taaj Al-Jaami Lil-Usul, which is narrated by Abdullah Bin Amr [may Allah be pleased with him and his father] on the authority of the Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him], who said, “There will be migration after migration and the people who are best will be those who cleave most closely to places which Ibraaheem migrated. The worst of its people will remain in the earth cast out by their lands, abhorred by Allah, gathered along with apes and swine by fire”. This hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud with a valid chain of transmission. I do not know how authentic this hadith is? [a]

The Shaikh: Okay.

Questioner: This is a point. The point now is that whenever we think of or observe the people of Palestine, (it is) the conflict with the Yahood, and you know best, may Allah bless you, about the Yahood, their impurity (i.e. evil deeds), and their hatred against Islam and Muslims.

The Shaikh: O my brother! This is the type of speech that we do not want because this is all well-known. We will see what the problem is.

Questioner: The problem is when you told the man that it is obligatory to exit and go to an Islamic country, never mind leaving a place of migration to an Islamic country!

The Shaikh: Do not say “Khurooj (exit)”.

Questioner: Al-Hijrah (Migration).

The Shaikh: Yes

Questioner: Migration from the land of Palestine, from the land of war?

The Shaikh: Yes.

Questioner: How do we reconcile this statement (of yours) with the hadith of the Messenger [peace and blessings be upon him] “You will fight the Yahood, while you are in the outskirts of Bayt al-Maqdis”, the hadith that you know?

The Shaikh: Oh yes.

Questioner: So, let us know, may Allah bless you.

The Shaikh: Others besides you utter this Shubhah (i.e. ambiguity, or an affair that contains some truth but mixed with untruth or doubt). Is (Baytul Maqdis) better than Al-Masjid Al-Haraam (the Sacred Mosque at Makkah)?

Questioner: No.

The Shaikh: Good, is Baytul Maqdis better than Makkah?

Questioner: No.

The Shaikh: Good, which of the two migrations is more dangerous- the migration of the Messenger from Makkah (to Madinah) or this migration that we are proposing?

Questioner: The migration of the Messenger (was more dangerous).

The Shaikh: Therefore, this (migration we are proposing) is all the more (required), so why do you over-emphasise and begin your speech based on that hadith about the migration of Ibraaheem [peace be upon him]? First, the Ibraaheem’s migration was not to Baytul Maqdis, but rather the entire Shaam, isn’t it?

Questioner: Yes

The Shaikh: Good, so if the Messenger[peace be upon him] established for the Muslims- by way of his Sunnah – to migrate from a land where they are persecuted, due to his migration from the (land of) the Sacred Masjid; and firstly, as I mentioned, that they migrated to Abyssinia, which was a land of disbelief; Subhaanallaah! When it is the case that the Messenger established this Sunnah for his persecuted companions to migrate from Makkah to the land of disbelief – to Abyssinia, to that (ruler) the Negus; then why do you find it strange that you – a Muslim who believes in Allah and His Messenger, and is keen to follow the Messenger [peace be upon him]- to advice his Muslim brothers based on what is within his ability to do so? Enough of throwing the souls to destruction, and shedding the blood of Muslims in vain. (It is said) in the colloquial proverbs in some Arab countries, “An eye cannot resist a prick”.

Islamic countries that have power, weapons, planes, and tanks are watching (i.e. due to inability), and the Palestinians are the ones facing the tanks and the planes and so on. You think that they will expel the Yahood (i.e. from their occupied land), and (expelled) based on the statement (claim) of that impostor who was swallowed up and was announcing that he would throw the Yahood into the sea; you think that our Palestinian brothers, those who are persecuted by the Yahood, the worst of persecution, will be able to throw the Yahood in the sea? [b]

Questioner: Of course not.

The Shaikh: So, may God bless you. These people are more obligated to migrate than others because they are killed by the dozens every day, compared to one Yahoodi they kill every month. [c] This migration that you found strange, the exact opposite is correct. When it is the case that the Messenger first permitted the weak and persecuted people in Makkah to migrate to Abyssinia, the land of the Christians at that time, we say today, “Do not migrate to the land of the Christians, but rather migrate to the land of Islam (Muslim countries)”. This is the first affair. Secondly, when Allah gave him permission to migrate from Makkah to Madina, Allah’s Messenger [may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] stood on which mountain? Qubays?

Questioner: Mountain Abu Qubays.

The Shaikh: Yes, Abu Qubays. Then he turned to Makkah and said, “As for you, you are the most beloved land among Allah’s lands to me, and if it were not that your people expelled me from you, I would not have left.” So, this is Allah’s Messenger, whose heart is attached to Masjid Al-Haraam, which he made a place of (security and safety) for the people.

Questioner: “A place of resort for mankind and a place of safety”. [d]

The Shaikh: Oh yes, “A place of resort for mankind and a place of safety”. So, he was forced to migrate – first by himself – to be saved, and then his brothers who joined him. If he migrated from Allah’s best land, then why does one not migrate from Allah’s third best land, which is Baytul Maqdis? Muslims are persecuted, especially since they are tortured every day. Then you find what is called Arafat’s affiliate; what is the name of the organization?

Questioner: PLO

The Shaikh: The PLO is in the hundreds and thousands, and they may have money, weapons, etc., and they are watching?

Questioner: The PLO is well-known to be (like) the rubbish carried down by a torrent. [e]

The Shaikh: Good, this is what it is.

To be continued…InShaaAllah

The next discussion between the Shaikh and the questioner is specifically about Jihaad.

[a] Sunan Abu Dawud 2482

[b] This only applies to combatants who wage war against the Palestinians with weapons if the Palestinians and the Ummah had the ability to fight the occupiers and their allies. However, one must clearly bear in mind that during a declared war between two nations, non-combatants are not killed or oppressed, including women, children, monks, etc Read: https://abukhadeejah.com/salafi-shaikh-fawzaan-on-jihaad-in-our-times-and-the-guidelines-of-jihaad-according-to-islam/

[c] Imaam Al-Albaani [may Allah have mercy upon him] was asked about this behavior of some people in Palestine, whose recklessness – in the name of so-called Jihaad – brings greater harm to the Muslims, so replied: “If your circumstances carry on in this manner, imagine, what will be the outcome? What will the Muslims be seeing and witnessing?! What will the Palestinians be massacred for? What will be the outcome (when) a Yahoodi is killed and in return tenfold of Palestinians are killed, thousands put in prison? Would this be a victory against the Yahood? This is not the (right) path, (which) actually the Muslims have – at present – wrongly identified as the (correct) way of Jihad”. [Silsilah Al-Hudaa Wan-Noor 317]

[d] Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayah 125

[e] Thawban [may Allah be pleased with him] reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish”. Someone asked, “Will that be because of our small numbers at that time?” He replied, “No, you will be numerous at that time, but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take the fear of you from the hearts of your enemy and place weakness into your hearts”. Someone asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! What is wahn (weakness)?” He replied, “Love of the world and dislike of death”. [Saheeh Sunan Abee Dawud 4297]

[1] Weaponising Necessities – [Food, Water, etc]- Is a Methodology of contemporary unbelievers adopted from ancient unbelievers

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The Quraish Tried to Starve The Prophet and His Near Relatives

Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported: On the Day of Nahr at Mina, the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Tomorrow we shall stay at Khaif Bani Kinana where the pagans had taken the oath of disbelief.” He meant (by that place) Al-Muhassab where the Quraish tribe and Banu Kinaanah concluded a contract against Banu Haashim and Banu Abdul-Muttalib or Banu Al-Muttalib that they would not intermarry with them or deal with them in business until they handed over the Prophet to them. (1)

Usaamah Bin Zayd [may Allaah be pleased with him] said, “I asked the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] during his Hajj, ‘O Allah’s Messenger! Where will you stay tomorrow?’ He said, ‘Has Aqeel left for us any house?’ He then added, ‘Tomorrow we will stay at Khaif Bani Kinana, i.e. Al-Muhassab, where Quraish (polytheists) took an oath of disbelief in that Banu Kinaanah allied with Quraish against Banu Hashim on the terms that they would not deal with the members of the tribe or give them shelter.” (2)

The incident mentioned in the above narrations took place when the Makkan polytheists had a meeting at a place called the Valley of Al-Muhassab, where they established an alliance against Banu Haashim and Banu Al-Muttalib. They agreed not to have any business transactions with them, no marriage ties, no visits, and no verbal communication with the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] and those who aided him. So, Abu Taalib – the Prophet’s uncle who stood by him at the time – decided to move to a valley in the eastern suburbs of Makkah, then Banu Haashim and Banu Al-Muttalib also moved and they were all confined to a narrow passage. They remained in that situation for three years- from the 7th year of the Prophet’s Prophethood until the 10th year. It was a very repressive embargo that brought extreme hardship, and in addition to this, the vile polytheists bought everything that reached Makkah in order that nothing reached Banu Al-Mutallib and Banu Haashim. The situation became so bad that they had to eat the leaves of trees and animal skins, and children constantly cried due to hunger. They had nothing besides very little provision that was sometimes delivered secretly by some people in Makkah who sympathised with them. During the sacred months when fighting was not permitted, they used to go and buy provisions, but the prices of goods were inflated so that they would not be able to afford them. However, this great hardship never stopped the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] from calling to the truth, rather he used to go to the Ka‘bah and call people to Islam. By the grace of Allaah, the agreement between the polytheists ended in the 10th year of the Prophet’s Prophethood, because some of them could no longer bear to see their relatives in that situation. (3)

Quraish Begged The Prophet Not to Disrupt Their Food Supplies, Despite The Fact That They Committed The Same Crime When They Had The Upper Hand

Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported: “The Prophet sent a troop of fighters towards Najd and they brought a man from the tribe of Banu Haneefah who was called Thumamah bin Uthaal. He was then tied to one of the pillars of the Masjid. The Prophet went to him and said, “What have you got, O Thumama?” He replied, “I have got a good thought, O Muhammad! If you should kill me, you would kill a person who has already killed somebody, and if you should set me free, you would do a favor to one who is grateful, and if you want property, then ask me whatever wealth you want.” So, he was left till the next day when again the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, “What have you got, O Thumama?” He said, “What I have already told you”. The Prophet (ﷺ) left him till the day after, and said to him again, “What have you got, O Thumama?” He said, “I have got what I told you. So the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Set him free”. Then Thumamah) went to a garden of date palm trees near the Masjid, took a bath, entered the Masjid, and then said, “I testify that None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and also testify that Muhammad is His Messenger! By Allah, O Muhammad! There was no face on the surface of the earth most disliked by me than yours, but now your face has become the most beloved face to me. By Allah, there was no religion most disliked by me than yours, but now it is the most beloved religion to me. By Allah, there was no town most disliked by me than your town, but now it is the most beloved town to me. Your troops arrested me (at the time) when I was intending to perform the `Umra. And now what do you think?” The Prophet (ﷺ) gave him good tidings of good in this world and the next, and ordered him to perform the `Umra. So when he came to Makkah, someone said to him, “You have become a Sabian?” He replied, “No! By Allah, I have submitted to Islam with Muhammad, Allaah’s Messenger. No, by Allah! Not a single grain of wheat will come to you from Yamamah unless the Prophet gives his permission.” (4)

The Prophet asked Thumaamah, “What have you got O Thumaamah?” He replied that he has good thoughts about the Prophet- Meaning, “You O Muhammad never oppress anyone, rather you are from those who pardon and do good”. So after he was set free, he entered Makkah to perform Umrah and then pronounced the Talbilya and he was the first to enter Makkah in that manner, so Quraish grabbed him and said, “You have the audacity to do this to us”, and they wanted to kill him; then a person amongst the Quraish said, “Leave him because you are in need of food from Yamaamah (i.e. from his land)”, so they released him. Then he said to them, “By Allah! Not a single grain of wheat will come to you from Yamamah unless the Prophet gives his permission.” Ibn Hishaam said, “Then Thumaamah returned to Yamaamah and prevented the Quraish from bringing any food to Makkah, so the Quraish wrote to the Prophet saying, “Indeed, you command people to keep good the ties of kinship”, so the Prophet wrote to Thumaamah to allow them to transport their food”.

This hadeeth provides the following benefits:

[I] It is permissible for the Muslim ruler to imprison an unbeliever prisoner of war in the Masjid due to some benefit; the permissibility of allowing an unbeliever in the Masjid to drink water and listen to lectures.

[II] To treat a non-Muslim prisoner of war kindly. Even though Thumaamah was an arch-enemy, he was forgiven, and this shows the great virtue of forgiveness. When the Prophet saw that Thumaamaah was constantly having good thoughts, he pardoned him and this was a pardon in its right place and perfect circumstances. This also shows that the Muslim ruler can pardon a non-Muslim prisoner of war due to an overriding benefit or execute him based on an overriding benefit.

[III] In this hadeeth, we also learn that one should closely watch those prisoners of war who desire to accept Islam, especially those amongst them who – when they accept Islam, others will follow them.

[IV] This hadeeth also teaches us that the release or execution of a prisoner of war should be delayed. (5)

True Believers’ Attitude Towards Feeding Those in Need, Including Captured Combatants

Allah [The Exalted] informed us of some of the qualities of the Abraar [The pious, who fear Allah and avoid evil]: ويُطۡعِمُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ – And they give food, in spite of their love for it]- Meaning, they are in a state in which they love wealth and food, but they give precedence to the love of Allah over the what their souls love and seek to feed the people who deserve and need it the most; [مِسۡكِينً۬ا وَيَتِيمً۬ا وَأَسِيرًا – the Miskin (poor), the orphan, and the captive (6)]; saying, [إِنَّمَا نُطۡعِمُكُمۡ لِوَجۡهِ ٱللَّهِ -We feed you seeking Allah’s Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you] – Meaning, to seek Allaah’s Reward. Mujaahid and Ibn Jubayr [may Allaah have mercy upon them] said, “As for these people, they did not make this statement, but Allaah knows this is what is in their hearts, so He praised them for it as an exhortation for the one who desires to do so”. [لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمۡ جَزَآءً۬ – We wish for no reward]- Meaning, by way of actions; [وَلَا شُكُورًا – nor thanks]- Meaning, by way of statement. (7)

[إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا يَوۡمًا عَبُوسً۬ا قَمۡطَرِيرً۬ا – Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible (from extreme dislikeness to it)]. [فَوَقَٮٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٲلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمِ وَلَقَّٮٰهُمۡ نَضۡرَةً۬ وَسُرُورً۬ا – So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadratan (a light of beauty) and joy]. [Surah Al-Insaan. Ayaat 8-11]

Indeed, the path of Allaah Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] is the only perfect path to follow in all affairs. We’ve heard – in our era – the brutal manner in which some of the soldiers – under the authority of some the globalists – treated prisoners of war in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other places.

Also, we’ve witnessed the deeds of the Kharijites -(Al Qaeda, Al Shabaab, ISIS, and others) – who commit excess during wars; but look at how the Messenger and the companions treated Thumaamah [may Allaah be pleased with him].

Also, in our era, we witness how some of the globalists impose sanctions against their enemies, even if such sanctions would harm other nations more than the targeted nation; but look at how the Prophet even dealt with the hostile Quiraish when Thumaamah said to them, “By Allah! Not a single grain of wheat will come to you from Yamamah unless the Prophet gives his permission.” They wrote to the Messenger and pleaded with him, so he allowed them to freely carry their food, even though they were his staunchest enemies who sought to starve him and Banu Hashim; rather they even attempted to murder him. We ask Allaah to grant us the ability to follow the authentic Sunnah of the Messenger because that is the only path to salvation, as Allaah [The Exalted] stated:

[لَقَدۡ كَانَ لَكُمۡ فِيہِمۡ أُسۡوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ۬ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرۡجُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلۡيَوۡمَ ٱلۡأَخِرَ‌ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِىُّ ٱلۡحَمِيدُ – Certainly, there has been in them an excellent example for you to follow, for those who look forward to (the Meeting with) Allah (for the reward from Him) and the Last Day. And whosoever turn away, then verily, Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), Worthy of all Praise]. [Surah Al-Mumtahinah. Aayah 6]

Taking advantage of other countries through debt and unfair trade deals

Indeed, it is sometimes impossible for countries that are always in debt to take control of their economies, because global loan sharks can easily gain the upper hand through Structural Adjustment Policies (SAPs), which secure debt repayment and force a country to adopt economic restructuring. As a result, in some circumstances, the weaker nation is forced to curtail spending on critical social services such as healthcare, education, and development, while debt repayment is prioritised or allows the lender unrestricted access to the country’s raw materials. This is commonly known, and anyone who conducts an investigation will find a wealth of information on the issue. Indeed, there is no value in providing financial help that will make a country permanently dependent on another country due to usury. Debt is a heavy burden on its own, let alone when it is accompanied by usury. https://www.abukhadeejah.com/the-grave-crime-of-usury-and-interest-riba-based-transactions-what-is-allowed-and-what-is-not/

Also with regards to buying and selling, Shaikh Abdul Waahid Abu Khadeejah [may Allaah preserve him] stated: “The way that countries buy and sell with each other does not always help people in poor countries. Producers of crops like wheat and rice will usually sell to the country that will pay them the most for it, so poor countries cannot compete and therefore cannot buy crops to feed their people. So these poor people have to grow their own crops to feed themselves. In many poor countries, the rich farmers grow cash crops such as fruit and flowers that they sell to rich countries and their profit often does not help the poor people. So Muslims are always encouraged to give aid to those less fortunate so that no one in the land remains hungry, unclothed, or unsheltered. Islam has no problem with people becoming wealthy so long as the poor not are neglected; they must be taken care of, helped, educated, and empowered to look after themselves. Wealthier Muslims are obligated to give in charity (zakāt) every year, and each Ramadān (zakāt al-fitr)”. (8)

No injustice in the Name of Just Punishment

The beautiful example of the Prophet: In pre-Islamic days Al-Mughirah Bin Shu’bah [may Allah be pleased with him] accompanied some people and murdered them, and took their property. He then came (to the Prophet) and accepted Islam. The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “As for Islam we accepted it, but as for the property, as it has been taken by treachery, we have no need of it”. [Sahih Abu Dawud. Number 2765]

The questioner asked Imaam Al-Albaani about migration and the issue of Palestine – [Part 1]

The Conversation Begins

Questioner: Our Shaikh, five minutes ago, I presented an important question and there is something precarious in it.

The Shaikh: Tayyib, InShaa’Allah

Questioner: Good, InShaa’Allah. You spoke at the beginning of the session about the issue of Hijrah [migration], and this issue is really very dangerous.

The Shaikh: Good, InShaa’Allah.

Questioner: I listened to – audio cassette number 527 – a conversation that took place between a student of knowledge and you about the issue of the people of Palestine.

The Shaikh: Yes.

Questioner: He asked about the ruling on migration from Palestine. He asked a question about the issue of the migration of the people of Palestine from Palestine to another place. I listened to the tape for three days until this moment, and I am repeating the tape until I understand what our Shaikh, Ustaadh Naasir, is saying.

The Shaikh: May Allah bless you.

Questioner: May Allah bless you, so that we do no wrong to the Shaikh.

The Shaikh: May Allah reward you with good.

Questioner: With regards to what may have been referred to or referred to by some claimants to knowledge…

The Shaikh: Yes.

Questioner: And Abu Ahmad knows

The Shaikh: Yes.

Questioner: What I want to say is that the place of migration is obligatory for all Muslims to cooperate in establishing and setting it up so that we migrate from the land of disbelief and from the land of war to the land of migration, and we agree with the Shaikh on this issue.

The Shaikh: All right, but now you say that a place of migration does not exist?

Questioner: I say now that a place for migration does not exist.

The Shaikh: Strange (i.e. this statement is strange).

Questioner: You spoke to that man and told him that which grieved him that ten years ago Saudi Arabia did not hang pictures, but now you find pictures there, and so on. It is as if I understood from your conversation that Saudi Arabia is a place of migration and is fit to be a place of migration.

The Shaikh: How do you understand that the land you are in is a place of migration?

Questioner: I do not understand this. I want to get to what the nature of the place of migration is, and we know from the biography of the Messenger [peace and blessings be upon him] that before he migrated to Madina, or before it was revealed to him to migrate to Madina, he looked for a place of migration – at first – by sending some of the Companions to Abyssinia.

The Shaikh: Yes

Questioner: And the Companions returned from Abyssinia, and obviously, he asked them about the circumstances of Abyssinia. The Messenger [peace and blessings be upon him] did not consider the land of Abyssinia to be suitable for migration. Then he sent a delegation to Hadramaut and asked the delegations that were coming to him [peace and blessings be upon him] about Hadhramaut in Yemen, and he found that Yemen also is not suitable for migration.

The Shaikh: Sorry, this (the above statement of yours) is not a question. May Allah bless you. I said five minutes. You will take the five minutes at your expense!

Questioner: …at the beginning of your session.

The Shaikh: All righty, may Allah bless you. I draw your attention to the fact that when we spoke about migration, where did we say that Libyans and others like them should migrate to? A land where one should not migrate to? Is that how you understand?

Question: (Migration) to the land of the Muslims.

The Shaikh: Good, so how do you say that there is no place for migration?

Questioner: I want to get to the (point regarding) what the characteristics of the place of migration is.

The Shaikh: Brother, ask instead of giving a lecture.

Questioner: I am not lecturing.

The Shaikh: No, allow me, my brother, may Allah bless you. When someone asks a question, he is brief and does not go into detail. Abyssinia and what is Abyssinia; this is how a question should be. You first say that there is no place for migration, and who told you that there should be a place for immigration similar to that of the Messenger [peace be upon him]? Is there a Prophet after Allah’s Messenger [i.e. Muhammad]?

Questioner: No.

The Shaikh: Then why do you speak about the existence of a place for immigration when you believe just as I do, as I said earlier, that there is a land of Islam, for this is enough for us to establish the proof against the unbelievers who convert to Islam in their countries of disbelief that they should migrate to an Islamic country. We also establish the proof that Muslims who were persecuted in Islamic countries in the past should migrate to Islamic countries where there is no persecution. So why did you change the subject matter to say that there is no place for migration, and who among the Muslim scholars, a successor, let alone a predecessor, has said that there must be a place for migration (i.e. similar to that of the Messenger)? This is a mistake in the presentation of the question. I want to understand what is the outcome of your reading for three days, as I said in those audio tapes I did not mention that there should be a place for migration and that a Muslim cannot say that there should be a place for migration because this emigration (of the Messenger from Makkah to Madina) will not be repeated. Due to this, it is reported in the hadith “There is no migration after the conquest”, meaning that there is no other city of the Prophet until the Hour (i.e. Day of Judgement) takes place. However, the reality is as the poet said, even on a different occasion, “So, imitate them even if you are not like them. Indeed, imitating in nobility is success”. We want to find an Islamic country that is as close as possible to establishing Islam. We do not direct our hopes towards finding a caliph similar to the era of the caliphs, and not even resembling the fifth Caliph, and that is Umar Bin Abdul Aziz [may Allah be pleased with all of them], but we want a ruler who rules by what Allah has revealed- making his goal to rule by what Allah has revealed. Regardless that he makes a mistake, or deviates a little or a lot (unless one witnesses clear disbelief), [Footnote a] there are many Islamic countries, and praise be to Allah. The affair -and praise be to Allah – has not ceased and it will remain like this. We do not see blatant disbelief, rather, this was found in some of those countries, so we commanded the persecuted Muslim youth to flee and migrate to a country in which there has not ceased to be much good from the country whose leader announced disbelief. I said this earlier, so may Allah bless you. Present to us what the problem is for you regarding the audio tape without the term Darul Hijrah (a place of migration).

Questioner: I retract it.

The Shaikh: May Allah reward you.

Questioner: Because I am not one seeking to be argumentative, (rather), I want to learn.

The Shaikh: That is what I think of you.

Questioner: InshaaAllah, may Allah bless you.

The Shaikh: Please go ahead.

To be continued…InShaaAllah

The next discussion between the Shaikh and the questioner is specifically about Palestine

Avoid playing the age card!

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Do not be duped by anyone disguising their unwillingness to accept truth as a genuine concern to stop others – in their view – from speaking until they are experienced!

Truth is to be searched and accepted, even from a younger person

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi al-Mad’khali [may Allah preserve him] stated:

Whenever AbuBakr [may Allah be pleased with him] was compelled due to a need (for some evidence) and he did not have textual proof from Allah (the Qur’an) or what the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah] said regarding such and such affair, -and likewise Umar [may Allah be pleased with him] used to do the same,- he asked someone younger than him and finds a hadeeth related to the affair from someone younger than him amongst the Sahaabah, and from the latter companions, such as Al-Mugheerah Ibn Shu’bah [may Allah be pleased with him]. The entire life of a person is spent in seeking knowledge – from the cradle to the grave. He does not feel proud to acquire truth from a young or older person, and he never rejects truth – whether it is stated by a Muslim or unbeliever. His soul seeks after the truth, so if he finds a text from the Book of Allah and the (authentic) Sunnah of the Messenger, then all praises and thanks be to Allah, but if he does not have it and finds it with someone else, he accepts it. Ibn Hazm [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “It may be that a person did memorise an Ayah and a hadeeth, then something occurs, but he forgets the Ayah and the hadeeth and is reminded by someone else. It is not possible for a person to establish or accomplish his religious and worldly affairs except by way of cooperating upon righteousness and piety. He does not become proud when something occurs whilst he has no proof or cannot recall a text he did memorise or has forgotten, or does not have a statement from the Sahaabah and the Taabi’een, [rather] he asks someone else and does become haughty. [Source: Marhaban Yaa Taalibal Ilm’ pages 245-247. Slightly paraphrased]

There is no doubt that we must return to the old wise scholars and this is what all the elder Salafi teachers have been doing for nearly three decades. They are well-acquainted with the statement of Al-Allaamah Ubaid [may Allah have mercy upon him] on this link. https://salaficentre.com/2017/03/17/returning-elders-guidance-times-adversity-followed-path-since-time-sahaabah-shaikh-ubaid/

All their clarifications are based on the Qur’an and Sunnah as understood by the Sahaabah and backed by the clarifications of the contemporary senior Salafi Scholars. Indeed, none has a problem with this except one who is either short-sighted or cannot come to terms with the fact that his erroneous views on a worldly or religious affair have been made known by those of his age group or those younger than him based on the unambiguous clarifications of the senior scholars of the era, so he desperately seeks to reject sound advice by claiming that those who advise him and others are young and inexperienced about those specific worldly affairs, even though the evidence quoted to him is from senior, old wise Salafi Scholars as well as senior and experienced people in the worldly affairs.

We ask Allah to grant to Sidq Aameen

If only they consult Salafi Scholars of the Ummah regarding affair of opponents whose harm one cannot repel!

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] stated about Prophet Musa [peace be upon him] when he accidently killed a person after a man from Bani Israel sought his assistance:

فَأَصْبَحَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ خَآئِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ فَإِذَا ٱلَّذِى ٱسْتَنصَرَهُۥ بِٱلْأَمْسِ يَسْتَصْرِخُهُۥ قَالَ لَهُۥ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّكَ لَغَوِىٌّ مُّبِينٌ

So he (Musa) became afraid, looking about in the city (waiting as to what would happen to him due to killing a man accidentally), when behold, the man who had sought his help the day before, called for his help (again). Musa said to him: “Verily, you are a plain misleader!” [Surah Al-Qasas Ayah 18]

So, Musa [peace be upon him] said to him: [قَالَ لَهُۥ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّكَ لَغَوِىٌّ مُّبِينٌ – Verily, you are a plain misleader]. Imaam Ibn Al-Jawzi [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated one of the meanings of this statement in Zaadul Maseer Fee Ilm at-Tafseer as follows: “You are one misled in fighting someone whose evil you cannot repel from yourself”.

Imam Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “It is obligatory for Muslims to perform Jihaad in the path of Allah, but let it be known that jihad has conditions. One of its conditions is to have the ability (to do so). If the Muslims are unable to do it, then indeed, Allah [The Exalted] has not made it binding on them (to do so) due to His statement: [لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا – Allah does not place an obligation on a soul (i.e. a person) beyond their capability]. And that is because the Prophet[ peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] was not commanded to fight except when he had a state with the apparatus of government, strength, and force to be reckoned with. It is not common sense and wisdom that we fight whilst not being able to do so because this means that our enemy will overpower us until he destroys us. For example, if a man departed with his sword, dagger, and spear with another man with missiles, planes, and the like, and said, “I am fighting for the sake of Allah”, do we agree to this? We will not agree because what this means is that you have exposed yourself to the enemy. [Tafseer Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayah 244]

When Imam Al-Albaani [may Allah have mercy upon him] was asked about provoking the Zionists, he replied, “If your circumstances carry on in this manner, imagine, what will be the outcome? What will the Muslims be seeing and witnessing?! What will the Palestinians be massacred for? What will be the outcome (when) a Yahoodi is killed and in return tenfold of Palestinians are killed, thousands put in prison? Would this be a victory against the Yahood? This is not the (right) path, (which) actually the Muslims have – at present – wrongly identified as the (correct) way of Jihad”. [Silsilah Al-Hudaa Wan-Noor 317]

Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan [may Allah preserve him] stated: What is obligated to us is that we reflect, rectify our deviated affairs, and repent to Allah. That is because the Yahood have not gained the upper hand against us except due to our sins. Why is it that we do not hear anyone addressing and admonishing the Muslims, whilst saying to them, “What has happened to you is (nothing else), except due to turning away from the religion ordained by Allah and negligence in the affairs of the religion. Therefore, repent to Allah in order that Allah may aid you and avert the plot of the plotters from you”. We do not hear except insult, abuse, and supplication against the Yahood, but this should be substituted with supplicating to Allah to rectify the Muslims and to make them steadfast. Mention to the Muslims that they should repent and return to Allah, and rectify their religious (affairs) for the sake of Allah. This is the first obligation. As for supplicating against an oppressor, whether the Yahood or other than them, there is nothing wrong with this. It is legislated to supplicate against the one who oppresses you with the Shariah supplications that can be found in the Book (i.e. The Qur’an) and the Sunnah. However, before supplicating against them, you should supplicate to Allah to rectify the Muslims, make the Muslims steadfast in their Religion, and return them to the truth. Advise, address, and admonish (them) regarding Allah [i.e. obedience to Allaah]. This is what is obligatory. [Al-Ijaabaatul Muhimmah Fil Mashaakil Al-Mulimmah. page: 202. slightly paraphrased]

Finally, as for help given by the Muslim governments to our oppressed brothers and sisters in Palestine, this is well-known. Therefore, during every calamity, we wait for the senior scholars of the Ummah to direct us to the right methodology – the senior Salafi Scholars, such as Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan, Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali, Al-Allaamah Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbaad….

We ask Allah

Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoing). And save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk.
