Benefits of studying with Al-Ibaanah?

This will be an exciting chance for people to finally break the ice and dive into the language; studying it in an immersive classroom. Ibaanah Arabic is known for giving students the confidence to converse in the language by bringing it to the front of studies.

The Ibaanah program has been developed to provide students with the necessary foundation and training needed to enhance rapid learning along with gradual skill building techniques. The focus of the program is to provide a complete foundation in the Arabic language, equipping students with all the necessary components for understanding and usage.

This course will aid the student in many aspects of their religion; it will provide the student with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Quran, Sunnah, increase khushoo during the prayer, be able to listen to Arabic lectures, attend sittings of knowledge held by the Scholars and understand, read both secular and religious texts (modern and classical) with strong comprehension, write and speak correctly, applying the principles he/she has studied.

Sisters’ Wudhu Area Appeal 2018

By the grace and mercy of Allah we have hundreds of people attending the masjid weekly. That includes women and children. Due to the high volume of traffic our wudhu areas are always under enormous pressure to deliver… yet they are woefully inadequate. Our plan was to extend and expand them, providing the needed facilities – including more basins, more taps, more toilet facilities; and due to the use by the Baby and Toddler Groups, and Mothers and Staff, a baby changing facility.

The Messenger of Allah (May Allah’s peace be upon him) said: Whoever builds a for Allah’s (sake) a masjid, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise. [Bukhârî]

Help us build and transform our wudhu area for our sisters and children. Imagine the reward that would be earnt, for all those who make wudhu using the facilities!

Work Involved

– removing separating walls
– adding steel beams
– adding a new doorframe and door
-3 new cubicles
– 3 new toilets
– two new large wudhu capable lowered sinks

📢 Ramadhaan 2018 Announcement

The Month of Ramadhaan will commence today from Maghrib and the first fast will be on Thursday insh’Allāh. We begin the Tarāweeh prayer tonight after the Ishaa’ prayer at 10:45pm. On Friday this will change to 11:00pm.

Car Parking & Neighbours

As a general reminder for those attending the masjid please park your cars 🚗 properly and safely within the car park and on the surrounding streets- taking care not to block driveways. Also as we are praying late it’s important that we are quiet when coming and leaving so as not to disturb our neighbours 🏡.

There will be security during the night prayer outside – Allah reward the brothers. However please still be vigilant as it is late.

Sisters Side Information

The sisters side of the masjid will be open 🚪 for the Salah. And for the benefit of the all sisters praying, we will have the air conditioning unit on throughout the prayer. ✅ We advise sisters that if they cannot manage standing close to the AC (due to the cold) please move to another area of the musallah.

There will be refreshments and snacks for sale at the end of taraweeh, outside the masjid. All proceeds will go toward our masjid wudhu area and play area appeals. For more details or to donate, then go to SalafiCentre.com/playground and Salaficentre.com/donate.

Important Message About Zakat.

Alhamdulillah we have some good connections at the masjid with trustworthy brothers and sisters in various countries, where there are poor muslims in need. Places include Egypt, Nigeria, Uganda, Pakistan and more; and the brothers and sisters there, assist with this for Allah’s sake.

Each year we appoint those whom we know and trust to distribute some of this, and from it included Zakat al Fitr.. often times this is left a few until the last moment. However to get this arranged for so many people it is important that it is not delayed in paying it, if you need help in distributing it, and are not doing so yourself.

Please refer to the poster for more information on all the types of Zakat / payments we collect and distribute, including fidyah (meal payments for those allowed to pay in replacement for fasts). More info at https://salaficentre.com/zakat

May Allah allow us to reach this Blessed Month, forgive us all of our sins and grant us jannah.

Appeal 2018 – Help Fund the New Playground Project!

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Asalaamualaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu

UPDATE: 31-08-2018: Work Well Underway.

Many parts of this project have been completed. We will post images on this page.

UPDATE: 31-06-2018: Funds Raised!

Alhamdulilah we have raised all the funds needed and work will commence in the Summer Holiday.

UPDATE: 31-05-2018

Alhamdulilah we have just passed the half way point in this blessed month. Firstly we wanted to thank everyone for all that they have given in Charity; to help develop the masjid – both here in Manchester as well as throughout the UK (Masjid as Sunnah Aston, Masjid Furqan Stoke, Masjid Al Huda Bolton, etc) and beyond! We make dua that our sins are forgiven and deeds multiplied. It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah said: ‘Spend, O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.’” (1)

However there’s still more to do. And we can really make a big difference for so many people within the community by donating even small amounts. The Messenger of Allah (Salalhualayhiwasallam) said: “A Muslim is a brother of (another) Muslim, he neither wrongs him nor does hand him over to one who does him wrong. If anyone fulfils his brother’s needs, Allah will fulfil his needs; if one relieves a Muslim of his troubles, Allah will relieve his troubles on the Day of Resurrection…” [Bukhari and Muslim].

Here in Manchester by the grace of Allah, we have established facilities for the children in our community. We have facilities on site for Quran- including a dedicated hifdh class- Arabic learning and Islamic Studies. The children learn every aspect we can possibly teach them: Belief, Tawheed, Salah, Wudhu, Manhaj, Fasting, Ibaadah, Dua and Adhkaar and more. In addition to this we have a Tuition Club which takes a huge burden off home schooling parents; by providing a good basis in all subjects: Maths, English, Science, Programming, Art, Geography and more!

As any parent will relate to; caring for the children and ensuring their tarbiyyah is correct is something difficult and in some instances worrying. Our children come form many backgrounds – and we try our best to provide them with a safe place to learn and grow. Abdullah ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, Salalhualayhiwasallam, said, “Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects. A man is the guardian of his family and he is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husband’s home and his children and she is responsible for them. The servant of a man is a guardian of the property of his master and he is responsible for it. No doubt, every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock.”

Our aim is as always, to provide an even better facility… and to give all of our children the chance to learn and experience new things and in turn appreciate the wonderful creation of Allah, and grow up as rounded individuals.

With this in mind we wanted to build our areas where the children can learn, have classes, exercise and play. The masjid has a fence around it now, so we can develop our garden and grass area more safely.

Side of the masjid that will be used fo rthe outdoor classroom, Eco Garden and Plantery

The portfolio explains the full concept in detail- but in brief we would have 3 areas, which would be excavated and soft play area flooring installed. Then we would have a young learners educational development area, a large playground with exercise and sports facility and finally a science and discovery facility- including an area to grow plants, herbs and small trees. This would only serve to increase our facilities and provide and amazing environment for the children that attend.

However doing all so requires a lot of financial outlay; which we cannot afford. We had a target of £18,000 and at the time of writing we only require £3800 more to reach it, alhamdulilah.

So we’ve launched this graphic to help encourage us all to give even small amounts to this beneficial project.

Our children are our inheritors and have rights on us. Providing good facilities will alleviate some of this difficulty on many parents within the community. In total we have 170 children that attend Saturday School, 160 that attend Quran Classes and 70 that attend and use the Tuition Club. Your money will be bring an ongoing benefit, and the reward will be ongoing inshaAllah. As the Prophet (Salalhualayhiwasallam) said: “When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: sadaqah jaariyah (ongoing charity, e.g. a waqf or endowment), beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), or a righteous child who will pray for him.” (3)

So not only will these facilities be used by children now and afterwards; but those whose children attend will appreciate their parents and we pray with good tarbiyyah they will duplicate for them.

So please do not delay and give today, to establish these and other educational facilities for children. The fruits are great and reach into the future… don’t miss out on that reward:

As Allah says: “Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan so that He may multiply it to him many times? And it is Allah that decreases or increases (your provisions), and unto Him you shall return.” (Baqarah 245)

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “There is no day on which the people get up but two angels come down and one of them says, ‘O Allaah, give in compensation to the one who spends (in charity),’ and the other says, ‘O Allaah, destroy the one who withholds.’” (4)

On Completion of our 5 Day Study Workshop with Ustadh Dr Abdulilah Lahmami

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

By the grace and mercy of Allah, we have just completed our long weekend of study. Alhamdulilāh it has been a busy time for us all, and a much needed and beneficial one.

The Brothers and Sisters present within the community here, were joined by those from many of the other cities and places including Stoke, Bradford, London, Birmingham, Bolton and more.

We ask Allah to reward our Ustādh, Dr Abdulilah Lahmami – for taking this time to visit, teach, sit with and benefit us.

📜 Books and Lessons Taught

During his time with us we managed to go through and complete:

📚 Shaykh Fawzaan’s explanation of the Muqadimah of ibn Abī Zayd al Qayrawāni. (14 sittings)
📚 Shaykh Rabī’s explanation of the Hadīth of Jibrīl. (3 sittings at Fajr time)

In addition to the above he delivered the Friday khutbah on the “3 affairs that will aid a person to remain upon istiqāmah”.

All of the above can be downloaded from our website learnaboutislam.co.uk 📲

ℹ Question and Answer Session with the Brothers.

In addition to the above; there was an impromptu and interactive tarbiyyah sessions with the brothers. Our Ustādh answered questions related to manhaj, gave advice on seeking knowledge, and took the time out to advise us with many important matters including:

1️⃣ Realising the importance and status of the scholars
2️⃣ How to behave in times of trials and tribulations
3️⃣ The importance of following evidences
4️⃣ Remaining united upon the truth, increase
5️⃣ Maintain brotherhood
6️⃣ Having humility and aiding one another upon good.

✍ Saturday School 🎈Final Day Reminder

Our Ustādh also attended the Saturday School certificates day; where the children’s hard work from the term is acknowledged and rewarded. He delivered an excellent and engaging reminder to the children about the importance of learning their deen. Likewise to the parents he offered beneficial advice regarding interacting with children; giving time to their cultivation; playing with them; and displaying good manners with both spouses and children.

📱 A Caution on Social Media ❗

Our Ustādh warned against getting caught up with social media personalities and refuted doubts that are spread regarding Salafiyyah and the Salafis. He shared guidance (some of which he has heard first hand) from Scholars such as Shaykh Rabī, Shaykh Ubayd, Shaykh Fawzān, Shaykh Muhammad al-Banna and others.

All of the above, took place from Thursday to Monday- concluding at Dhuhr time. We ask that Allah reward him, increase him in good and make his good deeds heavy on his scales.

Lastly then “whosoever does not thank the people, has not thanked Allah.” So with this in mind we would also like to extend our thanks to all those who helped to make this possible – amongst the brothers and sisters present. We ask that Allah the Most High, rewards them and blesses them to do even more, in future.

May Allah shower his blessings on us all, overlooks all of our shortcomings, pardons our sins and enter us into Jannah.

📢 Appeal – Sound System for Dawah Stall, Lessons & Eid Prayer

❗️Great Opportunity To Attain Ongoing Reward ❗️

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Dawah Sound System Appeal.

Asalamualaikum wa rahamtullahi wa barakaatuhu

We pray you are all well and in the best of reman. By the grace and mercy of Allah, The Most High, we have managed to establish classes in South Manchester and a weekly dawa stall now in central Manchester see twitter @learnaboutislam & @ccdawahmcr. We also hold our Eid Prayers and the Congregation here bigger every year.

As a result of the use, and expansion- our old Sound System isn’t able to service this need any longer; with sound cutting out, or not reaching; generator noise and hire costs, and it sometimes not working properly at all.

Therefore we contacted a Sound Specialist company and have been quoted a system that will accommodate all our needs and more. The system will be a high capacity battery powered portable speaker system.

However it is expensive- with the total price coming to £2300. Your assistance therefor is needed to raise this amount; and your money will be out toward something integral and vital in the process of giving dawa and teaching the Muslims and non Muslims. So let’s all get together and raise this amount- to carry on the call to Allah!
