Emergency Masjid Appeal

Asalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu

We hope you are all well and in the best of eemaan.

We are appealing to everyone to assist the masjid meet its needs.

Qadr’Allah- The masjid funds are running really low, especially with recent increased costs in electricity, gas and water.

Currently the masjid is running a deficit of around £400 per week. So far we had always resisted appealing but the balance is so low that we may not be able to pay our costs.

We want to redress this situation but the masaajid are run on the good will and assistance of the people, both those who attend and those who benefit from afar.

Our goal is to raise around £20,000. This will cover our deficit until Ramadhaan.

More importantly however we need regular standing orders. Even if you are able to setup a regular standing order of £5 a week; or of £10 per month, this would nearly cover our shortfall – and reduce the need for appeals.

We ask that Allah rewards us all and grants us tawfique to take this opportunity that can be written for us in this life; and be an ongoing and multiplied reward for years and in the hereafter.

A man asked the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “Which charity brings the greatest reward?” He replied: “That you give in charity when you are healthy, feeling miserly, whilst you fear poverty and are in hope of becoming rich. So do not delay until you are at the point of death and then you say: “Give this to so-and-so and give that to so-and-so,” when at that point [your wealth and property] already belongs to so-and-so!” (Al-Bukhaaree, no. 1419)
