They Are or Were Contemporaries, So We Neither Take a Stance Nor Get Involved In Their Dispute! [Hizbiyyoon Grasping at Straws Again]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The hizbiyyoon [proponents of illegal partisanship] will utter every ambiguity when desperately seeking to defend their deviated figureheads and mentors. You hear some of them seeking to cast doubt on the refutations written by Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee [may Allaah preserve him] against some of those figureheads who were found guilty of innovating principles in the religion of Allaah. So, instead of looking at the clear proofs, they follow their desires and cling to an ambiguity, saying, “Person  A and Person B were contemporaries, so neither do we take a stance nor get involved in their dispute”.  Indeed, this statement can either be utilised for truth or falsehood, and some of the illegal partisans utter this statement to deceive the unsuspecting seeker of truth. So, what is the response to this statement of theirs? Al-Allaamah Muqbil Bin Haadee Al-Waadi’ee [may Allaah have mercy on him] stated:

Jarh Al-Aqraan: Criticism carried out by contemporaries against one another is more credible than [criticism carried out by others against one and other]. That is because they [i.e. contemporaries] are more knowledgeable [about the affair of] their companions. It [i.e. Jarh Al-Aqraan] is accepted unless if it is known that there is rivalry and enmity between them [i.e. between two contemporaries] due to a worldly affair, [competition for] status or [due to being] mistaken in understanding and he [i.e. a contemporary] wishes to compel the other to his mistaken understanding [i.e. then in such a case the criticism is investigated]. [1]

The Shaikh [may Allaah have mercy upon him] also stated:

If the reason was due to rivalry or a worldly affair, then this (is something about which one should) hold back, or if the criticiser does not know (the reason) behind the criticism because it is required that he knows the reasons behind the criticism, or if he has (some) aim similar to that of these lowly people of the present day – such as Abu Riyyah and those who followed his path such as Ahmad Ameen. Likewise Al-Kawtharee, who authenticates (narrations) and passes judgements based on desires that narrations are weak, Muhammad Rasheed authenticates or (passes judgements on narrations as being) weak based on desires, and this is also this is (the case with) Jamaalud’deen Al- Afghaanee and Muhammad Abduh Al-Misriy, all these people and those who followed their path, their speech is neither accepted nor is it treated with honour.[2]

Question to Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him]:

At present whenever a scholar refutes another (person) who erred, they say: This is speech of contemporaries, it will come to pass and will not be transmitted.  What is your view regarding this principle and is it (applied) absolutely?

Answer: It is obligatory to clarify the truth and refute the error.  We do not flatter anyone; we clarify the error and direct to the truth and our (concern) is not the importance of this one or that one.  It is not permissible to keep quiet; because if we were to abandon (speaking) about this error, and that second error and that third error, the errors will become numerous and the people will think that it is the truth due to the silence of the scholars about it and will consider it as a proof.   Therefore, clarification must be carried out especially when the one who erred is one followed or has leadership.  And it is not to be said that errors are narrated and will come to pass; rather it should be said that it is narrated and refuted; because this is from sincerity to Allaah, His Book and His Messenger, and it is advice to the leaders of the Muslims. [3]

[Part 1]: Brief Rebuttal Against a Bewildered Philosopher Who Ascribes to Islaam But Calls to Socialism And An Extremist Who Calls to Rebellion In The Name of Islaam!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

There is no doubt that what is obligated on the rulers and leaders of the Muslims is that they judge by the Islamic Sharee’ah in all their affairs and that they wage war against what is in opposition to it. This is an affair about which the scholars of Islaam hold a consensus and all praise and thanks be to Allaah there is no differing regarding it. The proofs in the Qur’an and Sunnah regarding it are many and well known to the people of knowledge, and from them is the statement of Allaah [Glorified be He]:

فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ حَتَّىٰ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُواْ فِىٓ أَنفُسِہِمۡ حَرَجً۬ا مِّمَّا قَضَيۡتَ وَيُسَلِّمُواْ تَسۡلِيمً۬ا

But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission. [Surah An-Nisaa. Aayah 65]

And the statement of Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic]:

O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination.

[Surah An-Nisaa. Aayah 59]

And the statement of Allaah [Glorified be He]:

وَمَا ٱخۡتَلَفۡتُمۡ فِيهِ مِن شَىۡءٍ۬ فَحُكۡمُهُ ۥۤ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ

And in whatsoever you differ, the decision thereof is with Allah (He is the ruling Judge).

[Surah Ash-Shooraa. Aayah 42]

And the statement of Allaah [Glorified be He]:

أَفَحُكۡمَ ٱلۡجَـٰهِلِيَّةِ يَبۡغُونَ‌ۚ وَمَنۡ أَحۡسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ حُكۡمً۬ا لِّقَوۡمٍ۬ يُوقِنُونَ

Do they then seek the judgement of (the Days of) Ignorance? And who is better in judgement than Allah for a people who have firm Faith. [Surah al-Maa’idah. Aayah 50]

And the statement of Allaah [Glorified be He]:

وَمَن لَّمۡ يَحۡكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ

And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the disbelievers – of a lesser degree as they do not act on Allah’s Laws. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. Aayah 44] [Read here when does a person become a disbeliever due to ruling by other than what Allaah has revealed: https://www.abukhadeejah.com/ibn-taymiyyah-and-ibn-baaz-on-judging-by-other-than-the-shareeah/   https://www.abukhadeejah.com/the-meaning-of-taghut-according-to-the-early-scholars/        http://www.salafipublications.com/sps/sp.cfm?subsecID=MNJ05&articleID=MNJ050003&pfriend=

And whosoever does not judge by that which Allah has revealed, such are the wrong-doers.

[Surah Al-Maa’idah. Aayah 45]

And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed (then) such (people) are the rebellious sinners.

[Surah Al-Maa’idah. Aayah 47]

The verses that convey this meaning are many. Indeed, the scholars hold a consensus that the one who claims that judging by other than Allaah’s judgement is better or that guidance other than the Messenger’s guidance is better, then he is an unbeliever, just as they also hold a consensus that the one who claims that it is permissible to act [i.e. worship] outside the Sharee’ah of Muhammad or judge with other than it, then he is misguided and an unbeliever.  Therefore, based on what we have mentioned from the Qur’aanic evidences and the consensus of the scholars, the questioner knows that those who call to socialism, communism or the other destructive ideologies that are in opposition to the judgement of Islam are misguided and unbelievers. It is not permissible to place one of them as a khateeb and an Imaam in the mosques of the Muslims and prayer behind them is not valid. Separation Between Religion And State

What is Siyaasah? It means to regulate the affairs of the citizens; rules related to behaviour and upright rectification. It has jurisdiction over the individual’s behaviour and the society as a whole, and it involves Islamic jurisprudence by way of which the rulers are facilitated with knowledge and understanding of the rulings related to looking after the affairs of the state, its set-ups and Sharee’ah principles. [Ref 2]

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [rahimahullaah] said:

What is intended by ‘Separation between religion and Siyaasah’ is that the ruler can do what he wants based on what he thinks is a means of fulfilling (responsibilities related to) affairs of the state, whether it agrees with Sharee’ah or not; or even if what he does is based on the judgement of the religion, because the meaning of separation is to distinguish between two things and give them specific definitions. Therefore, in relation to this, the ruler looks at what he considers to be beneficial even if it opposes the Sharee’ah. There is no doubt that this is a false and sinful statement, because the religion itself is Siyaasah and Siyaasah itself is the religion, but what we mean by Siyaasah is the Siyaasah that is based on equity and not oppression. The religion of Islaam came to bring about wellbeing [and upright conduct] for the people in their behaviour towards their Lord and between themselves. It establishes the Rights of Allaah, rights for the people- rights for parents, relatives, wives and the Muslims – in general. And even for non-Muslims, Islam has given them rights that are well-known to the scholars. It laid down the means and conditions for war and peace making, punishments for crimes – some of which are determined by way of specific texts and some are left to the jurisdiction of the ruler, as well as other affairs which clearly shows that Islaam in its entirety is Siyaasah. The root of this word Siyaasah is Saa’is and that is the person who is responsible for looking after the affairs of animals – fulfilling that which brings them wellbeing and repelling that which will harm them. This is Siyaasah.

We find this meaning when we contemplate on affairs of the religion, and that Allaah has legislated –  for the servants – things without which humans will not be able to establish [a fruitful, stable, orderly, safe] life, and forbade them from things that will corrupt their state of affairs – either affecting everyone or specific individuals. Therefore, in reality the entire religion is Siyaasah. And we are certain that anyone who separates Siyaasah from the Religion and establishes Siyaasah based on what he sees fit and what he forbids, then indeed his Siyaasah is corrupt, and it will cause more harm than good. If it rectifies one affair based on his limited [or deficient] opinions, then indeed it greatly corrupts from another angle. So, this makes it incumbent that one contemplates on the state of affairs of those who base their Siyaasah on their desires and opinions, and became distanced from the religion of Islaam, you will find -after contemplating – that either all that Siyaasah is corrupt or most of it, and that if it rectifies an affair from one angle, it corrupts from another angle. So, based on this, separation between Siyaasah and Religion is a sinful deed and it is obligated on the one who seeks to rectify himself and others that he does so only based on the religion of Islaam. [Ref 3]

Rebuttal Against The Extremists – Those Who Initiate Rebellion And Bloodshed

Even though ruling by other than the Sharee’ah is a sin, however neither is it allowed to rush and declare that a Muslim ruler is an unbeliever nor can this judgement be given by anyone besides the upright scholars. Also, even if a Muslim ruler is declared an unbeliever by the upright scholars, it does not mean that the Muslims are to remove him from the position of rulership by way of rebellion. Be Alert! There Are Those Who Are Trained to Distort Sound Perception of Reality Through Sophistry, Deception and Concealment

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

يٰأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ آمَنُوۤاْ إِن جَآءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوۤاْ أَن تُصِيبُواْ قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ

O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done].

[Surah Al-Hujuraat. Aayah 6]

Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

This is also one of the moral etiquettes that are obligated on the people of (sound) understanding to adorn themselves with and put into practice. And that is if a rebellious sinful person informs them of some news, they should verify his news and not to merely accept it, because indeed there is great danger [in doing so] and [possibility] of falling into sin. That is because if his news is placed at the same level with the news given by truthful reliable person, one might pass a judgement based on that news and what it necessitates, so loss of life and wealth occurs without right due to that news and thus brings about regret; rather, what is obligated with regards to the news given by a rebellious sinful person is that it is verified and clarified. So, if the proofs and clear indications demonstrates his truthfulness, then it [i.e. the news] is acted upon and declared to be true; but if they demonstrate that he is lying, then it is declared to be lies and not acted upon. Therefore, in this there is proof that news (transmitted) by a truthful person is accepted, the news (transmitted) by a liar is rejected and the news (transmitted) by a rebellious sinful person is suspended as we have stated [i.e. not acted upon until it is verified). [Ref 1]

Brothers and sisters, the above is to be utilised whenever news reaches us, especially from the media. Indeed, there is no doubt that in our era the media influences the behaviour of many people. The media can manipulate, persuade and influence public opinion, whether positive or negative.  The media can influence the way people, religion, countries and organizations are viewed, manipulate as well as create role models. The media becomes an unquestionable reality for some people who were brought up by the media and thus neither can they critically distinguish between truth and half-truth nor between certainty and conjecture. Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “Knowledge (Ilm) is to comprehend the reality of something as it truly is, with certainty. The levels of comprehension are six: Al-Ilm – Knowledge, which is to comprehend the reality of something as it truly is, with certainty. Al Jahlul Baseet- slight ignorance, which is absence of full comprehension. Al Jahlul Murakkab- Aggravated/compounded ignorance, which is to comprehend something in a way contrary to its true reality. Al Wahm – Delusion, which is to think that one comprehends something despite the presence of that which should cause you to realize that you are incorrect. Ash Shakk- Doubt, which is to think that you comprehend something, yet you are aware of something contrary to it which you think has the same possibility of being the truth. Dhann – Preponderant belief, which is comprehension of something, despite the presence of something which is contrary to it, but which is less likely to be true”. [Ref 2]

If you carefully examine the statements of many so called analysts who speak about religion, you’ll clearly notice how they concoct terms to distort Islam’s image either by concealing its true reality or attributing the deeds of the deviants to it. We constantly hear them seeking to attribute extremism to Islaam when the Khaarijites (terrorists of ISIS and their Ilk) commit atrocities or seeking to distort its authenticity through the innovated practices and ideas of the Soofees, Shiites, philosophers and other deviants who ascribe to Islaam. This despicable behaviour of these so called analysts is nothing but an inherited satanic methodology from the ancient enemies of the Messengers.  Allaah [The Most High] said:

And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies – Shayaateen (devils) among mankind and jinns, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception). If your Lord had so willed, they would not have done it, so leave them alone with their fabrications.” [Surah Al-An’aam: Ayah 112]

(And this is in order) that the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter may incline to such (deceit), and that they may remain pleased with it, and that they may commit what they are committing (all kinds of sins and evil deeds, etc.). [Surah Al-An’aam. Aayah 113]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

Allaah [Glorified Be He] stated that they aid one another in opposing the command of the Prophets with what some of them inspire others of adorned speech, so that the gullible and feeble minded people are misled by it.  He [The Most High] stated the reason behind a perpetrator’s [adorned speech] and the reason why it is accepted by the people; then He [The Most High] mentioned [in ayah 113 Al-An’aam] the effects it has on those ignorant souls. When those souls incline towards such adorned speech and become pleased with it, they carry out what it calls them to do -in speech and action.  Therefore, ponder upon these verses and the sublime meanings they convey, for they clarify the roots of false principles and alert a person against them. And if you ponder upon the statements of the people of falsehood, you will indeed find them clothed with expressions and presented in a good light with sophisticated terms, which are quickly accepted by those deprived of sound discernment-to the extent that the wicked sinners would give [good] names to the greatest types of wicked deeds. [Ref 3]

Have we not read or heard Fir’awn’s deception, misrepresentation and the desperate attempts he made to conceal the truth. Allaah [The Exalted] said that Fir’awn said:

[إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَنْ يُظْهِرَ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْفَسَادَ – I fear that he (Musa) may change your religion, or that he may cause mischief to appear in the land!] [Soorah Ghaafir: Ayah 26]

Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

This is the most amazing the affair can be! The most evil one among the creation gives advice to the people against the best among the creation. This is (nothing but) disguised falsehood and propaganda, which cannot seize except the intellects of those (people) about whom Allaah stated: [فَاسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ – Thus he Fir’aun (Pharaoh)] befooled and misled his people, and they obeyed him. Verily, they were ever a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).] [Soorah Az-Zukhruf: Ayah 54] [Ref 4]

Allaah [The Most High] also said in Surah Al-Qasas Ayah 38 that Fir’awn said:

[يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَأُ مَا عَلِمۡتُ لَڪُم مِّنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيۡرِى  – O chiefs! I know not that you have an ilah (a god) other than me].

Just look at what Fir’awn said! He did not say. “You do not have a god besides me”, rather he said: “I know not that you have a god other than me’’. This is because they considered him to be a virtuous scholar and that whatever he said has to be the truth, and whatever he commands has to be followed. And after he made this statement, he then tried to prove that what he has stated is true. Allaah [The Most High] said that Fir’awn said to Haamaan:

[فَأَوۡقِدۡ لِى يَـٰهَـٰمَـٰنُ عَلَى ٱلطِّينِ فَٱجۡعَل لِّى صَرۡحً۬ا لَّعَلِّىٓ أَطَّلِعُ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَـٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّى لَأَظُنُّهُ ۥ مِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰذِبِينَ – so kindle for me (a fire), O Haman, to bake (bricks out of) clay, and set up for me a Sarhan (a lofty tower, or palace, etc.) in order that I may look at (or look for) the Ilah (God) of Musa (Moses); and verily, I think that he [Musa (Moses)] is one of the liars]- Meaning: We think that Moosaa is lying, but we are going to ascertain the affair and prove that he is a liar.

Look at Fir’awn’s extreme sinful boldness! He belied Moosaa [alayhis-salaam], claimed that he was a God, claimed that he is not aware of a true object of worship and asked Haamaan to build him a tower in order that he can see the god of Moosaa! These claims were nothing else but propaganda; however what is really amazing is the affair of those chiefs who considered themselves as the elders of the Kingdom, for how did they allow Fir’awn to play about with their intellects and deceive them? Indeed, that was due to their extremely sinful behaviour, which corrupted their religion and then their intellects. We ask Allaah to keep us firm upon Eemaan and that our hearts do not become deviated after we have been guided. [Ref 5]

Indeed, just as Fir’awn desperately sought to distort reality and conceal the truth even after he was shown clear signs regarding Moosaa’s Prophethood, likewise we do witness the same behaviour from some writers and so called analysts who speak about Islaam. Even though our Mashaayikh in the west have produced numerous unambiguous knowledge based clarifications and continue to do so whenever the terrorists seek to justify their atrocities in the name of Islaam by twisting the divine texts, however the bias writers, ideologues, demagogues  and Islam haters either divert the topic in order to refrain from recanting their lies or they remain silent and refuse to testify to the truth, or they utilise sophistry to dupe their readers and further conceal reality. Imaam Ibnul Qayyin [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

“When a proof that supports the truth is manifested and the one who wants to repel it finds no way of doing so, he refrains from mentioning it and thus becomes a silent devil, and sometimes he distorts it. Distortion is of two types: Distorting words and distorting meanings. Distorting words is when one utters a word in a context in which it does not establish the truth – either adding to the word or omitting something from it, or substituting it with something else- to the extent that the listener is made to believe something, whilst something else is intended by it, just as the Yahood  [i.e. those Yahood who disbelieved in the Prophet & hated him] used to distort words when giving Salaam to the Prophet [i.e. saying As-Saamu Alayka (death be upon you), instead of saying Assalaamu alaykum)]. This is one type of distortion. The second type of distortion is related to meanings – distorting the wording, giving it an interpretation that is not intended by the one who uttered it and pretending not to know its unintended meaning; or dropping other meanings intended by it etc. Allaah [The Most High] said: [وَإِن تَلۡوُ ۥۤاْ أَوۡ تُعۡرِضُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرً۬ا – and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do]”. [Ref 6]

Narrated Umm Salamah [radiyallaahu-anhaa]: The Messenger of Allaah [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said: ‘’Indeed, I am only a human being and you people (i.e. disputants) come to me with your disputes. And it may be that one of you can present his case more eloquently than the other and I consider him truthful, and judge in his favour. So if I ever judge and give the right of a brother to his brother, then it is a piece of hell-fire and let him not take it.” [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari -Kitaab Al-Ahkaam (Book of Judgements): Chapter 29: Hadeeth Number: 7181]

Some Benefits Derived From This Hadeeth:

The Ummah [i.e. the scholars and judges] have been commissioned to judge based on what is apparent; but the mere judgement of a judge cannot prohibit the lawful and allow the unlawful [i.e. because it cannot be taken if proven erroneous]. This hadeeth shows that speech can be seen to be true based on what is apparent, but it is truly falsehood with regards to what is hidden within it. Also this hadeeth shows that the one who receives a judgement in his favour is more aware than every other person as to whether he is entitled to it or whether he is a falsifier. So, he takes it if he is entitled to it or leaves it if he a falsifier, because in reality a judgment cannot change an affair from what it was in origin [i.e. the original truth in the affair before its distortion or concealment]. Also this hadeeth shows the sinfulness of the one who argues based on falsehood until he receives what he wants publicly, whilst he is upon falsehood. [Ref 7]

All praise and thanks be to Allaah, we have scholars and their upright students who refute and expose the lies and contradictions of the deviants – whether the proponents of religious innovations or the so called analysts who speak about Islaam. So, do not be a blind follower, rather carefully examine the statements of the liars in the media and you’ll notice the contradictions, distortions, exaggeration and misrepresentation in them. Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

“The fact that a statement regarding something is lies and falsehood is sometimes known based on the statement in and of itself, its contradictions, perplexity and the manifestation of those clear indications which shows that it is lies. Lies may manifest due to what it is in reality, what is apparent and what is being concealed. It is sometimes known due to the situation of the utterer of the lie, for indeed the one who is known for lying, wickedness and deception, his statements do not show anything else except a state of conformity with his deeds. He does not utter a statement or perform an action similar to that of a pious and truthful person – the one innocent of every evil, deception, lie and wicked behaviour; rather the heart, intention, statements and deeds of the truthful one have the same image; and the heart, statements, deeds and intentions of the liar have the same image”. [Ref 8]

Finally, you should be absolutely certain that liars will always fail. Allaah [The Exalted] stated that Moosaa [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said to Fir’awn’s magicians:

وَيۡلَكُمۡ لَا تَفۡتَرُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ڪَذِبً۬ا فَيُسۡحِتَكُم بِعَذَابٍ۬‌ۖ وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ

Woe unto you! Invent not a lie against Allah, lest He should destroy you completely by a torment. And surely, he who invents a lie (against Allah) will fail miserably. [Surah Taa Haa. Aayah 61]

Imaam Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

“Allaah informed us that those who invent lies will definitely earn His anger and will be degraded in the life of this world. And the greatest lie is to invent lies about  Allaah’s  Names, Attributes and Actions. Allaah stated that those who invent lies will definitely fail miserably, He will not guide them and they will be destroyed. This is what Moosaa [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said to those figureheads of those who sought to nullify the truth”. [Ref 9]

Analysing The Plots of Those Disbelievers  Who Plot Against Islam And The Muslim Is  Fard Kifaayah

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said:

So it is not permissible for the Ulamaa to remain heedless of their plans (i.e. the enemies of Islaam), their actions, their publications, their missionary activities and their various calls (to the Muslims). And also the various poisons they are infusing – which are in opposition to the Qur’aan and the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and his Sunnah. And nor of what plans they have for (the destruction of) the beliefs and methodologies of Islaam. It is not permissible either, to remain heedless of their concentrated efforts to Christianize or secularize the Muslim youth. And along with that, the Muslim youth and the students are not able to oppose this plan and strategy. Rather it is necessary that the distinguished Ulamaa – those who are experienced and shrewd – it is for such people, in all the places to undertake this duty. So it is obligatory for some of the intelligent and ingenious people from the field of Aqeedah to be mobilised for opposing these plans. And likewise it is a must that the intelligent and distinguished from amongst the specialists in the Sunnah – that they be mobilised for the refutation of these and similarly the eminent and distinguished from amongst those in the fields of Orientalism for the refutation of the plans of the Orientalists.” (Ahl ul-Hadeeth, p.102)

He also says: “I myself believe that it is a benefit – rather it is of necessity – that we know what the enemies are planning for us, and that it is necessary for us to prepare (ourselves in strength) to destroy their plans. However, I do not exaggerate in this matter, rather my view is the view of our Ulamaa and they have all agreed upon this – that amongst the obligatory matters there are some that are Fard Ain and others that are Fard Kifaayah – and even if knowing the state of the enemies is harmful – it is still necessary for us to know it – but it is treated as Fard Kifaayah. When some attend to it, then the harm is removed from the rest” up until he said: “So I consider that there is no criticism for the Ulamaa and the students of knowledge who take great concern for preserving the Sharee’ah of Allaah – in terms of the Book, the Sunnah and its understanding – for this is one of the duties of the Kifaayah actions. And I believe that these people are more superior, noble, truthful and of more benefit to Islaam than those who are weak in their knowledge of the religion of Allaah or those who have no share in acquainting themselves with it.”  [An excerpt from an article at www.salafipublications.com titled: The Salafis and Looking into the Affairs of the Ummah]

[29] Brief Rebuttal Against Ed Husain – [An Example of How The Shaytaan Philosopher Transmits Texts In An Ambiguous Manner And Some of His Statements Regarding Mockery, Joke and Blasphemy]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Why Is Ed Husain Rebutted

Ed Husain – The bewildered philosopher, stooge of the militant secularists and pleader for the treacherous cartoonists – said:

“Muslim civilisations, too, were once confident in this freedom. The Prophet’s wife, Ayesha, would say to him ‘How convenient that your God reveals verses that satisfy your desires.’ Nasredin Hodja, a Muslim satirist entertained generations of people with his books of jokes and caricatures. For centuries, the Sufis mocked orthodox believers and their rituals. Blessed was blasphemy. We Muslims again need to learn to joke, to laugh more and accept that in the West, since the times of the ancient Greeks, mockery and theatre have been the norm. Islamists cannot and must not destroy this inheritance”. [End of quote]

Comment: Indeed, brothers and sisters, in the above statement Ed Husain desperately attempted to establish his falsehood and thus followed the path that is founded on conjecture and ambiguity. Allaah  [The Exalted] said:

It is He [Allaah] Who has sent down to you [Muhammad] the Book [this Qur’an]. In it are Verses that are (entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book [and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkaam (commandments, etc.), Al-Faraa’id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudood (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers, etc.)]; and others are Mutashaabihaat (i.e. not entirely clear in what they indicate, so they are to be referred back to the Muhkamaat to be explained]. So, as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.)… [Surah Aal Imraan. Aayah 7]  Aa’isha [may Allaah be pleased with her] said, “The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] recited this verse and then said, ‘If you see those who follow thereof that is not entirely clear, then they are those whom Allah has named [as having deviation (from the truth)] so beware of them’”. [Bukhaari Number 4547]

Salafi Scholar, Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said,

“Allaah  clarified that they have (evil) desires and deviation with them, intending to misguide themselves and others! They desire trials and intend to misguide the people, and that is why the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] mentioned and described their condition to us. He [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “And indeed there will appear a people from my Ummah in whom desires will run through them just as rabies runs through a dog.’’ [Ref 1]

Indeed, this is Ed Husain’s state of affairs – deeply submerged in desires and deviation to the extent that he can no longer control his mouth, even if that would lead him to utter manifest falsehood. Ed says, “Muslim civilisations, too, were once confident in this freedom. The Prophet’s wife, Ayesha, would say to him ‘How convenient that your God reveals verses that satisfy your desires.’ Nasredin Hodja, a Muslim satirist entertained generations of people with his books of jokes and caricatures”.

First, we have already addressed – in other articles – his obsession with freedom, so here we’ll suffice with a brief admonition as follows: Ibnul Mubaarak [rahimahullaah] was asked about the statement of Luqmaan [alayhis-salaam] to his son: ‘’If speech is from silver, then silence is from gold.” So he said: ‘’It means that if speech in obedience to Allaah is from silver, then silence [in order to refrain from] disobedience to Allaah is gold’’. [Ref 2]

Therefore, indeed, a Muslim does not use freedom of expression to utter that which is tantamount to falsehood, sin and deviation.

Second, as for the hadeeth quoted by Ed as follows, “How convenient that your God reveals verses that satisfy your desires”,  here is the Arabic the text of the hadeeth: [ما أرى ربك إلا يسارع في هواك – I do not see except that your Lord hastens to fulfil your desires].

The word ‘Hawaa – desire’ can have both a praiseworthy and blameworthy meaning depending on the context it is used.

Example 1: The word ‘Hawaa- Desire’ used in an unpraiseworthy manner

Allaah [The Exalted] stated:

وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنِ اتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ بِغَيْرِ هُدًى مِنَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ

And who is more astray than one who follows his desire without guidance from Allah? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.” [Surah Al-Qasas. Aayah 50]

In the above verse, ‘Hawaa – desires’ is given a blameworthy meaning, because it is attributed to the one who follows his desires without guidance.

Example 2: The word ‘Hawaa – Desire’ used in a praiseworthy manner:

This can be found in a hadeeth reported by Imaam Muslim Number 1763, that after the battle of Badr, the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] consulted both AbuBakr and Umar [may Allaah be pleased with them] regarding the prisoners of war, so Umar suggested that they should be executed, but Abu Bakr suggested that they should be set free after ransom is taken on their behalf. Umar said: [ فَهَوِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَلَمْ يَهْوَ مَا قُلْتُ – Fa Hawiya Rasoolul laahi – Allaah’s Messenger (Hawiya – his heart inclined) towards what Abu Bakr said and did not incline towards what I said]. So, in this hadeeth ‘Hawaa – Desire’ is used in a praiseworthy manner.

As for the meaning of the hadeeth: [ما أرى ربك إلا يسارع في هواك – I do not see except that your Lord hastens to fulfil your desires]. [Al-Bukhaari 4788]

Imaam An-Nawawi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said that the meaning this hadeeth is: “Your Lord has facilitate ease for you and granted you a lot of allowance in your affairs”. [Ref 2.1] Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajr [may Allaah haved mercy upon him] said that the meaning of this hadeeth is: “Allaah brings about what you want without delay, reveals what you love and choose”. [Ref 2.2.]

In addition to this, Allaah [The Exalted] stated:

وَٱلنَّجۡمِ إِذَا هَوَىٰ

مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمۡ وَمَا غَوَىٰ

وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ

إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحۡىٌ۬ يُوحَىٰ

By the star when it goes down, (or vanishes). Your companion (Muhammad) has neither gone astray nor has erred. Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is only an Inspiration that is inspired. [Surah An-Najm. Aayaat 1-4]

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

Allaah [The Exalted] made it known that Muhammad [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] is neither misguided nor ignorant, neither astray nor does he follow his desires, nor does he speak out of his own desires; rather he speaks based on the revelation that is sent down. [Ref 3]

Shaikh Abdur Razzaaq Al-Badr [may Allaah preserve him] said:

Allaah [The Exalted] stated about the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam]:

[مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمۡ وَمَا غَوَىٰ-Your companion (Muhammad) has neither gone astray nor has erred].  That is because the Daal [misguided person] is one whose knowledge is corrupted and the Ghaawiy [astray one] is the one whose intent is corrupted.

Also, the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] described his four khulafaa [Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan and Ali (radiyallaahu-anhum)] with the words ‘Raashideen and Mahdiyyeen’, because the Raashid [i.e. The one who is steadfast upon the right path and is firmly established upon it] is the opposite of the Ghaawiy [The one who strays from the right path or conduct], and the Mahdee [The one guided to the path of truth and yields obediently to it] is the opposite of the Daalun [the misguided one, especially in knowledge and creed]. [Ref 4]

This is the sound meaning of this hadeeth, so that no ambiguity remains. Ed quoted this hadeeth – whilst speaking about freedom of speech and satire – without its explanation. Indeed, this is expected from the likes of Ed Husain, because the people of deviation either fabricate narrations or refrain from transmitting their sound meanings, or they employ philosophical speech.

Salafi Scholar, Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] said:

It is not permissible to transmit false and fabricated reports and then attribute them to the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him]. That is because many amongst the people of misguidance and the people of desires fabricate narrations, utilise them as proof and declare them authentic when [such narrations] agree with their desires. As for when the authentic narrations oppose their desires, either they belie them or distort and explain them [in a manner other than what is intended by] their correct meanings.

This is the state of affairs of Ahlud-Dalaal [the people misguidance] – they search for fabricated and false narrations and present them to the people and utilise them as proof if it agrees with their desires. As for the authentic narrations that oppose their desires, they either belie them or change them from their right places [i.e. give them a distorted interpretation]. This is the affair of Ahlud -Dalaal [the people of misguidance]. Likewise among the characteristics of a hypocrite is that he lies when he speaks; so do not speak to the people unless you are truthful [in what you say], and do not speak too much regarding the ahaadeeth in that which there is no benefit [i.e. do not narrate just for the sake of narrating] out of fear of falling into lies. The Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, “It is enough lying for a man to speak of everything that he hears”. [Ref 5]

Salafi Scholars Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

There is nothing- based on what I can see – that is more harmful to the Muslims in their creed than theological rhetoric and philosophical logic. Many of the senior scholars of philosophical rhetoric affirmed – at the end of their lives – that they wished to die upon the religion [i.e. the religion that is in conformity with what is found in the Qur’aan, authentic Sunnah and understanding of the pious predecessors] and return to their natural disposition [i.e. Islaam as revealed in the authentic texts]. Shaikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] said, “The ones it is feared for the most that they will fall into misguidance are those scholars of philosophical rhetoric at the intermediate level, because those who did not engage in it were safe from its evils; and those who engaged in it and reached a high level became acquainted with its corruption and falsity, and thus left it”.  He [Shaikhul Islaam] spoke the truth, because this is what is feared in every affair of knowledge. It is what is feared for the ones at the intermediate level in knowledge- those who are exploring the path (of knowledge), because indeed they consider themselves as ones who have entered into affairs of knowledge and do not leave the affair to others [i.e. they enter into affairs that are above their ability to deal with], whilst – in reality- they have not reached the highest level in knowledge and are not grounded; so they become misguided and misguide others. [Ref 6]

Salafi Scholar, Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said:

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

The people in their pursuit of knowledge and religion have two innovated paths and a path legislated in the Sharee’ah. The path of the Islamic legislation is to look at that which the Messenger brought, utilise it as evidence and act upon that which it necessitates; therefore, there  has to be knowledge based on that which he [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] came with and to act upon it, and only one of them is not enough. This path is built upon the sound intellectual proofs and the sound proofs that are based on absolute certainty [in conformity with the revelation], for indeed the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] clarified the sound intellectual proofs whose limits are determined by the [infallible] divine texts and the Messengers clarified the sound rational proofs which the people are in need of, just as Allaah put forth in the Qur’an every kind of similitude. This is the straight path which Allaah commanded His servants to ask Him to guide them to.

As for the two innovated paths, one of them is the path of the people of innovated theological speech and views, for indeed there is much falsehood in this. Many of its people become negligent in the deeds commanded by Allaah and His Messenger, so they remain upon corruption in knowledge and deeds. These people stray towards false Judaism.

The second is the path of people who employ ways of strengthening the soul, the people of the Soofi paths and innovated acts of worship. These ones stray towards false Christianity, because they say that if a person purifies his soul based on the manner in which they have stated, then the sciences of the religion will come to him in abundance without learning. The acts of worship of many amongst these people are innovated; rather they are in opposition to that which the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] came with and thus they remain upon corruption in their deeds and corruption due to deficiency in knowledge, since they do not know what the Messenger came with. These people often malign one another and every group speaks ill against the other, whilst each of them claims to be following the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam]; however, what the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] came with is neither in agreement with what these ones say and what those ones say. Allaah said:

[مَا كَانَ إِبۡرَٲهِيمُ يَہُودِيًّ۬ا وَلَا نَصۡرَانِيًّ۬ا وَلَـٰكِن كَانَ حَنِيفً۬ا مُّسۡلِمً۬ا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ – Ibrahim (Abraham) was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a true Muslim Hanifa (Islamic Monotheism – to worship none but Allah Alone) and he was not one who associated partners to Allaah in worship. [Surah Aal Imraan. Aayah 67] Neither the Messenger of Allaah [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] nor his companions were upon the path of the people of religions innovations amongst the proponents of Theological Rhetoric and Views, nor upon the path of the people of religious innovations amongst the proponents of innovated worship and Soofiyyah; rather he was upon that which Allaah sent him with based on the Qur’aan and Sunnah.[Ref 7]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

[ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرً۬ا لَّيُضِلُّونَ بِأَهۡوَآٮِٕهِم بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٍ‌ۗ – And surely many do lead (mankind) astray by their own desires through lack of knowledge]. [6:119]

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

Merely [utilising] a statement as proof [without guidance from Allaah] is tantamount to following desires. Allaah [The Most High] said:

[ فَإِن لَّمۡ يَسۡتَجِيبُواْ لَكَ فَٱعۡلَمۡ أَنَّمَا يَتَّبِعُونَ أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ‌ۚ وَمَنۡ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنِ ٱتَّبَعَ هَوَٮٰهُ بِغَيۡرِ هُدً۬ى مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ – But if they answer you not (i.e. do not believe in your doctrine of Islamic Monotheism, nor follow you), then know that they only follow their own lusts. And who is more astray than one who follows his own lusts, without guidance from Allah? [28:50]

And Allaah [The Most High] said to Dawud [alayhis-salaam]: [وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ – And follow not your desire for it will mislead you from the Path of Allah]. [38:26]

Allaah [The Most High] said: [ فَإِن شَهِدُواْ فَلاَ تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاء الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا وَالَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ وَهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ – Then if they testify, testify not you (O Muhammad) with them. And you should not follow the vain desires of such as treat Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) as falsehoods, and such as believe not in the Hereafter, and they hold others as equal (in worship) with their Lord. [6:150]

Allaah [The Most High] said: [ قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡڪِتَـٰبِ لَا تَغۡلُواْ فِى دِينِڪُمۡ غَيۡرَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوٓاْ أَهۡوَآءَ قَوۡمٍ۬ قَدۡ ضَلُّواْ مِن قَبۡلُ وَأَضَلُّواْ ڪَثِيرً۬ا وَضَلُّواْ عَن سَوَآءِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ – Say (O Muhammad): “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Exceed not the limits in your religion (by believing in something) other than the truth, and do not follow the vain desires of people who went astray in times gone by, and who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the Right Path. [5:77]

So whoever follows the desires of the people after [clarification of] the knowledge Allaah has revealed to His Messenger and the guidance which He clarified for His slaves, then he [i.e. such a person] has a similarity [to those regarded as followers of desires]. And due to this, the Salaf named Ahlul Bidah Wal Furqah [i.e the people of Bidah and Splitting]- those who oppose the Book and the Sunnah- ahlul ahwaa [the people of desires], because of the fact that they accept what they love and reject what they hate based on their desires without guidance from Allaah. [Ref 8]

As for Ed Husain’s statement:

“Nasredin Hodja, a Muslim satirist entertained generations of people with his books of jokes and caricatures.

Observations: First, regardless what a person does to entertain the people, then indeed it cannot contradict the divine revelation – the Qur’aan and authentic Sunnah. Joke is permissible as long as it neither involves joking about the religion nor belittling an authentic act of worship performed by a Muslim. That is because this type of joke is tantamount to major disbelief. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

If you ask them (about this), they declare: “We were only talking idly and joking.” Say: “Was it at Allah, and His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger () that you were mocking?” Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after you had believed. [Surah At-Tawbah. Aayah 65]

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

“The affairs related to Divine Lordship, Prophethood, Revelation and the religion are sacred and are to be venerated. It impermissible disrespect them, either by mocking at them to make others laugh or to make fun at them. If anyone does that, he is an unbeliever, because this shows his disrespect towards Allaah and His Messengers, the Books and Divine Laws. Whoever does this must repent to Allaah, because it is a type of  hypocrisy. Therefore, the person must repent to Allaah, seek forgiveness, change his behaviour, nurture fear of Allaah [in his heart], venerate Allaah and have love for Allaah in his heart.  [Ref 9]

Also, jokes should only be based on truth, because the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Woe to the one who tells lies to make people laugh, woe to him” [Ref 10]

As for Ed Husain’s statement,  “Blessed was blasphemy”.

The word blessed used in this context can either mean pleasure or relief as welcome contrast to what one has previously experienced, or it is used in mild expressions of annoyance or exasperation – emphasizing that you are annoyed about something. Indeed, regardless the meaning intended by Ed Husain, he is reminded of the fact that blasphemy is a serious matter and we’ll only quote for him the statements of his Lord regarding disbelief.

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

(Their allies deceived them) like Shaitan (Satan), when he says to man: “Disbelieve in Allah.” But when (man) disbelieves in Allah, Shaitan (Satan) says: “I am free of you, I fear Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!” So the end of both will be that they will be in the Fire, abiding therein. Such is the recompense of the Zalimun (i.e. polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers in Allah and in His Oneness, etc.). [Surah Al-Hashar. Aayaat 16-17]

“As for him who disbelieves, I shall leave him in contentment for a while, then I shall compel him to the torment of the Fire, and worst indeed is that destination!” [Surah Al-Baqarah. Aayah 126]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Whoever disbelieved in Allah after his belief, except him who is forced thereto and whose heart is at rest with Faith but such as open their breasts to disbelief, on them is wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a great torment. That is because they loved and preferred the life of this world over that of the Hereafter. And Allah guides not the people who disbelieve. They are those upon whose hearts, hearing (ears) and sight (eyes) Allah has set a seal. And they are the heedless! No doubt, in the Hereafter, they will be the losers. [Surah An-Nahl. Aayaat 106-109]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Whosoever disbelieves will suffer from his disbelief, and whosoever does righteous good deeds (by practising Islamic Monotheism), then such will prepare a good place (in Paradise) for themselves (and will be saved by Allah from His Torment). That He may reward those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous good deeds, out of His Bounty. Verily, He likes not the disbelievers. [Surah Ar-Rum. Aayaat 44-45]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

He it is Who has made you successors generations after generations in the earth, so whosoever disbelieves (in Islamic Monotheism) on him will be his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers adds nothing but hatred with their Lord. And the disbelief of the disbelievers adds nothing but loss. [Surah Faatir. Aayah 39]

As for Ed Husain’s statement:

“We Muslims again need to learn to joke, to laugh more and accept that in the West, since the times of the ancient Greeks,  and mockery and theatre have been the norm”.

Comment: All praise and thanks be to Allaah, the upright Muslims strive to follow the path of the Messenger, because he is the only perfect example in all aspects of life. We laugh and joke within the guidelines of the divine revelation and we do not give any consideration to Ed Husain’s satanic suggestions. If mockery was the norm, then indeed neither was it the norm amongst the Messengers of Allaah nor their upright followers. Indeed, this is the level of deprivation Ed Husain has reached because he desires nothing but to appease the enemies of Allaah.

As for Ed Husain’s statement:

“Islamists cannot and must not destroy this inheritance”.

We have already addressed this affair regarding the term Islamist. See here: An Islamist

As for this inheritance, then indeed what an evil inheritance indeed!  Allaah [The Exalted] said:

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡىِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَنَڪۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُواْ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمۡۚ وَكُلَّ شَىۡءٍ أَحۡصَيۡنَـٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍ۬ مُّبِينٍ۬

Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. [Surah Yaaseen. Aayah 12]

Verily, We give life to the dead]- Meaning, We’ll resurrect them after their death to recompense them for their deeds (11).

[وَنَڪۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُواْ – and We record that which they send before (them)] – Meaning, good and evil, the deeds they did during their lifetime (12).

[وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمۡۚ – and their traces]. Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said: That which they initiated of good or evil and thus they were followed by others after their death. (13)

Imaam Al-Aloosee [rahimahullaah] said: That which they left behind of good deeds, such as the knowledge they taught people, books they wrote, land they gave as endowment or a building they built in the path of Allaah and other good deeds; or sins, such as establishment of laws [legislation, rules, regulations etc] that are tantamount to oppression and transgression, or setting up principles amongst the people that are tantamount to evil and corruption, and the evil Funoon [i.e. haraam professions, crafts etc] which they initiated and were revived after them by the corrupt people. [14]

Imaam As-Sadi [rahimahullaah] said: It is the good and evil outcomes about which they were the cause of its occurrence during their life time and after their death, and those deeds that emanated from their statements, deeds and circumstances. Every good performed by one of the people due to the knowledge of the servant, his teaching and advice, or through enjoying good and forbidding evil, or knowledge he transmitted to the learners, or in a book which is benefitted from during his life and after his death, or a good deed, such as Salaah, Zakaat, Sadaqah or kindness based on which he was followed, or built a masjid or a place which the people benefit from and what is similar, it will be from the good outcomes that are written for him, and likewise are the evil outcomes. The Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, “Whoever starts a good thing [i.e. something other than bidah and sin] and is followed by others, he will have his own reward and a reward equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their reward in any way. Whoever starts a bad thing [i.e. a bidah, sin or something that opposes Islaam] and is followed by others, will bear the burden of his own sin and a burden equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their burden in any way”. [Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no. 2675]

This subject matter makes clear to you the lofty station of calling to the path of Allaah, guidance to His path through every means and path that leads to it; and the lowly status of the caller to evil and a leader in it, and that he is the most degraded human being, one who has committed the severest crime and the greatest sin. [15]

Therefore, we are commanded to follow the middle path – neither the path of extremism followed by the Khaarijites – terrorists (ISIS and their ilk) nor the path of those who have fallen into extreme negligence, such as Ed Husain – the bewildered philosopher, stooge of the secularists and pleader for the treacherous cartoonists. This negligence is expected from the bewildered philosophers, as Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allaah preserve him] said:

“As for the two innovated paths [i.e. the destructive paths to seeking knowledge], one of them is the path of the people of innovated theological speech and views, for indeed there is much falsehood in this. Many of its people become negligent in the deeds commanded by Allaah and His Messenger, so they remain upon corruption in knowledge and deeds. These people stray towards false Judaism”. [16]

Finally, everyone can see that Ed Husain is a deviant and a shaytaan – a caller to evil. Instead of using the divine text to enjoin good and forbid evil, the shaytaan utilises narrations to enjoin evil and forbid good. This is a mighty crime and may Allaah protect us from its evil consequences Aameen.

Salafi Scholar Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said:

“It has been reported in an authentic hadeeth -[in Saheeh Al Bukhaari and Saheeh Muslim]- that: “A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and thrown into the Fire, then his intestines will spill forth in the Fire and he will go around it as a donkey goes around a millstone. The people of Hell will gather around him and will say: O So and so! What is the matter with you; did you not use to enjoin good and forbid evil? He will say: Yes, I used to enjoin good, but did not do it; and I used to forbid evil and did it [i.e. commit the evil I used to forbid. [Al-Bukhaari 3267 & Muslim 2989] Indeed, there maybe someone who is worse than this man, for he [i.e. the one worse than the man mentioned in this Hadeeth] enjoins evil and forbids good, so what will be his state of affairs, and Allaah’s Refuge is sought?!” [17]

Part 2: The Terrorists Were Motivated By Hatred and Islamist Ideology: [A Brief Reply to This Statement of a Daily Telegraph Columnist Called Nick Timothy That One Must Seek Knowledge From Its Sound Sources Before Speaking]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Nick Timothy said:

First, as we have already stated in part one that there is no doubt that they are motivated by hatred, rather they are motivated by blameworthy hatred, because there is not a single one of us except that we do love and hate, but that neither leads many of us – whether Muslim or Non-Muslim – to something blameworthy nor transgression. As for the upright Muslims, they know that their Lord commanded them, saying:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.

[Surah Al-Maa’idah. Verse 8]

However, the terrorists – regardless the religion they are ascribed to – submit to their desires and shaytaan, so they give no consideration to protecting human life. Indeed, Islaam is free from their satanic and barbaric deeds. Read on this link: https://salaficentre.com/2020/11/03/part-1-the-terrorists-were-motivated-by-hatred-and-islamist-ideology-a-brief-reply-to-this-statement-of-a-daily-telegraph-columnist-called-nick-timothy/

Reminding Mr Timothy That One Is Commanded to Seek Knowledge Before Speaking

Second, in this article, we remind Mr Timothy that Allaah – our Lord and his Lord – said:

وَلَا تَقۡفُ مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡبَصَرَ وَٱلۡفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ كَانَ عَنۡهُ مَسۡـُٔولاً۬

And follow not that of which you have no knowledge. Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those you will be questioned (by Allah). [Surah Al-Israa. Aayah 36]

Third, we remind Mr Timothy that our Lord forbade us from conjecture. Allaah [ The Exalted] said:

[إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهۡوَى ٱلۡأَنفُسُ‌ۖ  – They follow but a guess and that which they themselves desire]. There is a tremendous benefit derived from this, because the one deprived of sound Eemaan and the sound creed sent down as revelation by Allaah- The Lord of the Aalameen, then his affair is one of two: Corruption in Knowledge or Corruption in his Intent– corruption in knowledge occurs as a result of following conjecture and corruption in one’s intent occurs as a result of following desires, or the person may combine both of them.

Another benefit derived from this is that the rectification or well-being of a person cannot be attained except by way of two affairs: Upright [or sound] Knowledge and Upright [or sound] Intent. This is why Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said in Miftaah Daarus Sa’aadah that a person is in need of two things: ‘[Sound] Knowledge by way of which he is [rightly] guided and lofty aspiration by way of which he is urged towards that [sound aspiration]’, because it maybe that a person has beneficial knowledge but not [sound] intent and aspiration.  Therefore, one cannot be upright except by way of upright knowledge and intent.  Sound knowledge is corrupted through following conjecture and sound intent is corrupted through following the desires of one’s soul. [Ref A]

Therefore, Mr Timothy and others must seek knowledge from its sound sources before speaking about Islaam, sects and deviants, otherwise one will definitely fall into conjecture. This sound sources of knowledge can only be acquired from the upright Salafi scholars and Salafi students of knowledge – neither from Ed Husain – the treacherous and misguided stooge of the Freedom worshipers – nor from the commentaries of western ideologues and demagogues, otherwise it is a great danger when one either speaks without justice, blindly follows or parrots the ideas and concepts of the era without thorough observation and study.

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

And when it is case that the true followers of the Prophets [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon them] are people of knowledge and justice, therefore the speech of the people of Islaam and the true adherents to the Prophetic Sunnah regarding the unbelievers and the proponents of religious innovations has to be based on knowledge and justice, and not conjecture and what the soul desires. And due to this the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said: “The judges are three: one will go to Paradise and two to Hell. A man who knows the truth and judges with it will enter paradise; a man who knows the truth but judges with the opposite of it will enter the fire, and a man who judges for the people based on ignorance will enter the fire’’. [Reported by Imaam Abu Dawud 3573]

And when it is the case that the one who judges between the people in [affairs] of wealth, blood [i.e. murder cases, physical violence etc] and honour will enter the hell fire if he is not a just scholar, then how about the one who passes judgements – without knowledge and justice – on creeds, religions, the fundamentals of belief,  divine knowledge and the general fundamental principles related to different subject matters, as is the case with ahlul bidah wal ahwaa [the people of religious innovations and desires]- those who follow the ambiguous doubtful matters, abandon those explicitly clear texts that have transmitted by the Prophets [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon them], cling to affairs that share an ambiguous similarity through mere analogy and opinions,  and then present affairs whose differences can neither be reconciled nor equated, just as is the case with the unbelievers and all the proponents of religious innovation and followers of desires. [Ref B]

Acquainting Mr Timothy With One of The Satanic Paths of The Deviated Sects That Ascribe to Islaam

Allaah [The Most High] said:

It is He (Allaah) Who has sent down to you (Muhammad) the book. In it are verses that Muhkamaat [ i.e. not in need of explanation], they are the foundations of the Book; and others not Mutashaabih [i.e. need to be explained by way of the Muhkamaat]. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is Mutashaabih, seeking trials….[Surah Aal Imraan. Verse 7]

Aaisha [may Allaah be pleased with her] said: The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] recited this verse and then said, “If you see those who follow the Mutashaabih, then they are those whom Allaah has referred to (as those having deviation in the hearts), so beware of them”. [Saheeh Al-Bukhari. Book of commentary]

Imaam As Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: All the verses of the Great Qur’aan are absolutely clear, as Allaah [The Most High] said:

[الر ۚ كِتَابٌ أُحْكِمَتْ آيَاتُهُ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ مِنْ لَدُنْ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ- A Book whereof are perfect verses (in every sphere of knowledge and then explained in detail from One (Allaah), Who is All-Wise, Well-Acquainted (with all things)]. [Surah Hud. Verse 1]

The Qur’aan is gathered upon absolute perfection, precision [in its commandments, prohibitions, laws, creed etc], justice and goodness, as Allaah also stated:

[ۚوَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ – And who is better in judgement than Allaah for a people who have firm faith” [Maa-idah: Ayah:50 ]

All the sections of the Qur’aan resemble each other in beauty and eloquence, and affirm the truthfulness of each other.

As for what is mentioned in this ayah concerning the verses that are Muhkamaat [i.e. clear and need no further explanation] and Mutashaabih [i.e. that some verses  in certain places in the Qur’aan require explanation and elaboration through other verses], then those verses that are Muhkamaat are the foundations of the Qur’aan to which one returns every affair he finds unclear, and the vast majority of the Qur’aan is comprised of these verses  Secondly, the Mutashaabih are those verses whose precise intended meaning are either not immediately clear to some people or are misunderstood because they indicate a general unrestricted meaning.  Therefore, the vast majority of the verses are clear and manifest to everyone and they are the majority of what is referred back to, and there are verses that are difficult for some people to understand, so it is obligatory to refer them back to those other verses that explains their precise intended meanings. This is the path which the Qur’aan takes in confirming the truthfulness of its verses and there are no contradictions or opposition in this.

However, the people are divided into two groups in this affair, and the first group as Allaah stated are those in whose hearts there is deviation (from the truth)- those who turn away from uprightness and harbour corrupt intentions. Their intention is misguidance and their hearts are deviated from the path of guidance. These people cling to those verses that require elaboration and explanation through other verses and then do not refer them to those verses that explain them. And the reason they do this is to seek trials and tribulations for those whom they call to their deviated paths. [Ref 1]

Therefore, it is obligated on a Muslim that he does not rush towards the one who quotes verses of the Qur’aan and the Prophetic traditions to support his views until it is ascertained that such a person is from the well-known people of knowledge- those worthy of being referred back to. And if not, one will fall into the hands of those people whom Allaah has censured in this verse -those who solely cling to the verses that require explanation and elaboration in order to deceive the people, whilst desiring trials, tribulations and false interpretations by way of that. So you see him quoting verses and texts from the Prophetic tradition to support his claims, but when such verses and texts from the Prophetic tradition are examined, you find that he seeks to establish his claims solely by way of those texts that require further explanation, but he does not refer them back to the ones that give that explanation and elaboration. [Ref 2]

This is path of the proponents of religious innovations who ascribe to Islaam, especially the Khaarijites (i.e. modern day terrorists). The Saudi Salafi scholar Shaikh Saaleh al-Fawzaan [may Allaah protect him] said, “The kharijites were not misguided and misguiding others with their intellects and fear of Allaah, except that they disassociated themselves from the scholars and depended on their own understanding and that of those similar to them. They took instructions from one another and thus they caused harm to themselves and to the Muslim nation. This is the result of disassociating from the scholars. [Ref 3]

The Khaarijites (Terrorists) and Their Stance Towards The Muslim Rulers

Dr. Shaikh Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq [may Allaah preserve him] stated:

It is established in the books of heresiography (books detailing the doctrines of the sects) that the central, core, uniting element of all the sects of the Khārijites, is the issue rebelling against the rulers on grounds of perceived or actual injustice or what they consider to be disbelief, but which is not disbelief. Rather it is something that is perfectly lawful in Islām (such as treaties with non-Muslims, giving them gifts, having trade and diplomatic relations or legislating in affairs of broad public interest to achieve the objectives of the Sharīʿah such as border controls, highway regulations and so on) or it is a sin that does not reach the level of disbelief. So this is what unites all Khārijites. [Read on these three links regarding alliances, peace treaties] [Ref 4]

The Prophet’s Severe Warnings Against The Danger of The Kharijites

The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said,

“The kharijites are the dogs of Hellfire”. [Ref 5]

The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon] him said:

There will appear  people from the east who will recite the Qur’aan but it will not go beyond their throats [i.e. will not affect their hearts]. They go through the religion just as an arrow pierces its target and they will not return to it just as the arrow does not return to the bow. [Ref 6]

The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said:

“In the last days, there will be young people with foolish dreams. They will say the best of words in creation but they will pass through Islam just as an arrow passes through its game. Their faith will not go beyond their throats”. [Ref 7]

The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said:

“There will emerge from the east some people from my nation who will recite the Quran but it will not go beyond their throats [i.e. will not affect their heaerts]. Every time a faction of them emerges it will be cut off. The Prophet repeated this and on the tenth time he said: “Every time a faction of them emerges it will be cut off until the False Messiah appears from their remnants”. [Ref 8]

Salafi Shaikh Falaah Ismaa’eel [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

One of the greatest (affairs) that shows their danger is that they will remain and continue to exist until the day of judgement, because indeed they are the basis of every Fasaad [i.e. corruption] and Ifsaad [i.e. corrupting every affair by removing it from what it is supposed to be] in the earth- the basis of the spread of panic and undermining security in the land and the basis of every deviation from the true methodology, because they abandon knowledge and the scholars out of being deceived by their outward deeds. And due to this, the first thing Abdullaah Ibn Abbaas [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] discredited them with was that there was not a single companion of Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] amongst them and they are the original source of knowledge -neither permissible for anyone to emerge and be a position in religious affairs except through them nor acquire knowledge except from them, because they are the most knowledgeable regarding that which Allaah and His Messenger intend by way of the text.

And that which is worthy that one should be aware of – in order to be acquainted with their danger – is that which Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] wished if he were to meet them and what he described regarding what he will do to them, that he would slaughter them in a manner similar to the manner in which Aad and Thamood were slaughtered- even though they [i.e. kharijites] are from the Muslim nation and from the people who face the direction of the kabah in their prayers, and especially when one recalls the statement of Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] about dogs, that “Had dogs not been a community amongst the communities, I would have commanded that all of them be killed”. [Ref 9] [Brief regarding this narration. dog ]

Therefore, a sensible person compares and ponders regarding what the Messenger of guidance and mercy wished to do to these Kharijites – despite their [devotion] in worship, prayer, fasting and recitation of the Qur’aan – as opposed to what he forbade himself and others from doing to dogs. Indeed, this is a great proof regarding the danger due to the continuation of this thought [i.e. False excommunication] and this type of people in the Ummah [i.e. the Kharijites], because they weaken the Ummah and preoccupy it with [internal problems, strife etc]. [End of quote] [Ref 10]

The Kharijites (Terrorists) Are a Chaotic People

Imaam Wahb Ibn Minabbih [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

I was acquainted with the early period of Islam. I swear by Allaah, the Kharijites never had a group except that Allah caused it to split due to their evil state of affairs.  Never did one of them proclaim his view except that Allah caused his neck to be struck [i.e. killed]. Never did the Muslim nation unite behind a man from the Kharijites. If Allah had allowed the views of the Kharijites to be established, the earth would have been corrupted, the roads would have been cut off, the pilgrimage to the sacred house would have been cut off, and Islaam’s affair would have returned to ignorance until the people would seek protection in the mountains as they did in the pre-Islamic era of ignorance. If there were to appear among them ten or twenty men, there would not be a man among them except that he would claim the Caliphate for himself, and with every man among them, there would be ten thousand others- all of them fighting against each other and accusing each other of disbelief until even the believer would fear for himself, his religion, his life, his family, his wealth, and he would not know where to travel or with whom he should keep company. [Ref 11]

Their Intention to Commit Atrocities and The Stance of The Early Muslims Against Them

The fourth Caliph Ali [may Allaah be pleased with him] said to the kharijites after they refused to return to guidance and upright conduct, “Remain wherever you wish, because the nation of Muhammad has agreed and that neither will you shed sacred blood nor obstruct the highways, nor oppress a who are to be protected. If you do so [i.e. oppress and kill], then we have given a notice of war against you. Indeed, Allaah does not love those who are treacherous”. [Ref 12]

An Example of The Violent and Irrational Behaviour of The Contemporary Kharijites (Terrorists) In The Name of Jihaad

Shaikh Abdul Waahid Abu Khadeejah [may Allaah preserve him] quoted the senior scholar Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him], who said, “They (i.e. the extremists) kill the non-Muslims whom it is not permissible to kill. They kill those who have a treaty [with the Muslim regimes] or are under a covenant of protection. So this is extremism in the affair of Jihaad. Indeed they go even further by blowing up homes, apartment buildings and built-up areas of a town or city – they kill believers and unbelievers, young and old, males and females. They put terror and fear into the Muslims and non-Muslims who live amongst them, as well as terrifying those under the protection of the Muslim governments from the non-Muslims and the people who have covenants. Then they call that Jihaad! Rather that is Fasaad (corruption) and not Jihaad. That is because they draw the Muslims into evil, destruction and ruination. https://www.abukhadeejah.com/salafi-shaikh-fawzaan-on-jihaad-in-our-times-and-the-guidelines-of-jihaad-according-to-islam/

Therefore, after any journalist -whether Nick Timothy or other than him – is acquainted with what the seal of the Prophets [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] and the upright scholars of Islaam have stated regarding the methodology of the Kharijites and the atrocities they commit against both Muslims and fellow non-Muslim citizens, then indeed it would be tantamount to slander, deception and ignorance to attribute their methodology to Islaam. We know perfectly well what has been obligated on us in our religion whilst living in any country – whether in Muslim or Non-Muslim lands. Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Alaah have mercy upon him] said:

Likewise I invite you to have respect for those people who have the right that they should be respected, from those between you and whom there is an agreement (of protection) [i.e. Non-Muslims]. For the land which you are living is such that there is an agreement between you and them. If this were not the case they would have killed you or expelled you. So preserve this agreement, and do not prove treacherous to it, since treachery is a sign of the hypocrites, and it is not from the way of the Believers.

And know that it is authentically reported from the Prophet that he said : “Whoever kills one who is under an agreement of protection will not smell the fragrance of Paradise.”

Do not be fooled by those sayings of the foolish people : those who say : ‘Those people are Non-Muslims, so their wealth is lawful for us [i.e. to misappropriate or take by way of murder and killing].’ For by Allaah – this is a lie. A lie about Allaah’s Religion, and a lie in Islamic societies.

So we may not say that it is lawful to be treacherous towards people whom we have an agreement with.

O my brothers. O youth. O Muslims. Be truthful in your buying and selling, and renting, and leasing, and in all mutual transactions. Because truthfulness is from the characteristics of the Believers, and Allaah – the Most High – has commanded truthfulness – in the saying of Allaah – the Most High – “O you who believe – fear and keep you duty to Allaah and be with the truthful”

And the Prophet encouraged truthfulness and said : “Adhere to truthfulness, because truthfulness leads to goodness, and goodness leads to Paradise; and a person will continue to be truthful, and strive to be truthful until he will be written down with Allaah as a truthful person“.

And he warned against falsehood, and said : “Beware of falsehood, because falsehood leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. And a person will continue lying, and striving to lie until he is written down with Allaah as a great liar.”

O my brother Muslims. O youth. Be true in your sayings with your brothers, and with those Non-Muslims whom you live along with – so that you will be inviters to the Religion of Islaam, by your actions and in reality. So how many people there are who first entered into Islaam because of the behaviour and manners of the Muslims, and their truthfulness, and their being true in their dealings.

[End of quote: salafipublications.com]

Finally, Nick stated that “It is time to end the denialism and stop making excuses for this barbarism”.

We say to him:

Indeed, the upright Muslim scholars and their students are foremost in condemning the barbarism of the terrorists, and neither are they in denial nor do they compromise, rather give upright guidance – free from extremism and negligence.

Our Mashaayikh in the West are well known for their staunch stance against the extremists and terrorists. Shaikh Abdul Waahid Abu Khadeejah [hafidhahullaah] has already clarified this matter five years ago.

[25] Brief Rebuttal Against Ed Husain: [Slap In The Face – (Treacherous Deviant, Misguided Fame Seeker And Stooge of The Freedom Worshippers Humiliated)]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Why Is Ed Husain Rebutted

Ed Husain tweeted in disapproval:

The above statement shows that Ed Husain behaves as if he is a worshipper of freedom – the freedom he utilises to promote Darwin’s theory of disbelief and the ideas of the heretical philosophers (al-Farabi, Ibn Sina, Al-Jaahiz etc). The deviant and misguided fame seeker utilizes every opportunity to propagate his satanic ideas, whether he has a valid point or not, but he has been humiliated.

First, the shaytaan Ed Husdain stated that Muslims have no right to be angry and this is another clear proof that this man is upon extreme deviation. By Allaah even the wicked murderers amongst the Muslims do not utter such a corrupt statement, because a Muslim has to be angry for the sake of Allaah, but anger should not lead to transgression.

As the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him], Allaah [The Exalted] said:

إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰكَ شَـٰهِدً۬ا وَمُبَشِّرً۬ا وَنَذِيرً۬ا

لِّتُؤۡمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُڪۡرَةً۬ وَأَصِيلاً

Verily, We have sent you (O Muhammad) as a witness, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner. In order that you (O mankind) may believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that you assist and honour him and (that you) glorify (Allah’s) praises morning and afternoon. [Surah Al-Fath. Aayah 8-9]

This Aayah is enough proof to show that a believer – not a hypocrite or one whose heart is dead – is to honour the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] and will definitely get angry when the Prophet is dishonoured. However, the shaytaan Ed Husain says that Muslims have no right to be angry. Will Ed Husain be pleased if his family is dishonoured? Let’s briefly make some observations on the shaytaan Ed Husain:

Ed Husain – the treacherous deviant, misguided fame seeker and stooge of the freedom worshipers – defended president Macron and said that Muslims have no right to be angry, even though the president himself strongly rejected the statements of those who belittled his wife. So, Ed Husain defended a person who did not object when a Prophet of Allaah is belittled, but objected when his wife was belittled.

See below.

However, brothers and sisters after the Muslims – scholars, rulers and their citizens – made it very clear that belittling a Prophet of Allaah is never tolerated by a Muslim, President Macron stated, “We hear your anger, but won’t accept violence”. The president also stated that those who published the cartoons are an independent body and have nothing to do with the government, but freedom to do what they did is protected under laws of the state. Brothers and sisters, this is the calamity of modern politics, but it is a reality we must live with. However, what we want to highlight here is that the president did not say – at first – that Muslims do not have a right to be angry, but Ed Husain – the shaytaan, treacherous deviant and stooge of the freedom worshippers – said the opposite. But now that the president has affirmed that the Muslims have a right to be angry, Ed Husain has received a big slap in the face – humiliated and exposed for his treachery. Indeed, it makes no difference whether the president agrees or disagrees that Muslims have a right to get angry, because our Lord commanded us to show our displeasure – as a sign of sound faith – when people transgress against His commands, rather Allaah has threatened the one who belittles the Messenger. Allaah said:

For he who makes you angry (O Muhammad), – he will be cut off (from every good thing in this world and in the Hereafter).

[Surah Al-Kawthar. Aayah 3]

As for what the president stated that violence is not accepted and also Ed Husain’s statement that Muslims have no right to kill anyone, then indeed there is no doubt that both of them have spoken the truth because their statements agree with the final revelation. The final Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] conveyed Allaah’s threat against Muslims who murder their non-Muslim fellow citizens, saying “Whoever kills a person who is granted the agreement of protection by the Muslims shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise though its fragrance can be smelled at a distance of forty years journey.” [Al-Bukhaari 6914]

This is why our Mashaayikh in the West are foremost in rebutting terrorism and vigilantism. See here:

The Salafi Response To The Terrorist Attacks In Paris, France: “Were they forbidding an evil?”

https://www.salafisounds.com/bbc-interview-abu-khadeejah-regarding-terrorist-attacks-in-paris-salafism-women-in-islam/

After acquainting oneself with the information in the above links, then the ideologues and their blind followers will understand that Islaam is free from the actions of Muslims whose anger leads to a violation of the command of the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] – that we must protect the lives of our non-Muslim fellow citizens.

Likewise, it is obligated on us – in our religion – to report and expose anyone who is planning terrorist acts. See here: It Is Not Betrayal, Rather It Is An Obligation to Report Terrorists to The Non-Muslim Authorities – By Allaamah Saaleh al-Fawzaan [hafidhahullaah]: http://www.answering-extremism.com/trans-pub/ae_saf_12.pdf

[20] A Brief Rebuttal Against Ed Husain – [The Shaytaan Wants to Replace Polytheism of The Raafidah With Celebrating Cyrus – The Fire worshipper]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Why Is Ed Husain Rebutted

Ed Husain said:

First and foremost, why is Ed Husain using ambiguous language regarding replacement of governments?! There are a number of possibilities and only he can tell us how that should take place!

As for the Raafidah, then indeed their affair is well-known. Visit links

Shia Muslim! Shia Islaam! [Myth, Mirage or Reality?!]

The Devil’s Deception Of The Raafidah Shi’ah

https://www.abukhadeejah.com/the-devils-deception-of-the-raafidah-shiah/

http://www.shia.bs/

As for Ed Husain’s satanic and wicked desire – that he wants to celebrate Cyrus, the Fire worshipper, then indeed one of the most hated people to Allaah is one who wants the traditions of Pre-Islamic era of ignorance to remain in Islaam!

Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said that the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said,

“The most hated people to Allaah are three: a person who deviates from right conduct [i.e. an evil doer] in the Haram [sanctuaries of Makkah and Medeenah]; a person who seeks that the traditions of the Pre-lslamic Period of Ignorance should remain in Islam and a person who seeks to shed somebody’s blood without any right”.

Brief Commentary By Shaikh Zaid Bin Haadi [rahimahullaah]

These three deeds are from the major sins. The first major sin is Al-Ilhaad Fil Haram [i.e. deviating from right conduct in the sanctuaries of Makkah and Madeenah]. Ilhaad means to deviate from the truth [and enter into] falsehood, and supporting falsehood in order to obliterate the truth. Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] censured the Mulhideen Fil Haram [i.e. those who deviate from right conduction in the sanctuaries of Makkah and Madeenah], saying:

[وَمَن يُرِدۡ فِيهِ بِإِلۡحَادِۭ بِظُلۡمٍ۬ نُّذِقۡهُ مِنۡ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ۬ – And whoever intends evil actions therein or to do wrong (i.e. practise polytheism and leave Islamic Monotheism), We shall make him taste a painful torment]. [Surah Al-Hajj. Aayah 25]

Allaah promised them [a severe punishment] due to the mere fact they intend evil actions therein [i.e. in the sanctuaries of Makkah and Madeenah], then how about perpetrating such deed! Indeed that would be a more severe sin, a more frightening state and a more severe punishment. This is a proof regarding the virtue of the sanctuaries of the Haram- that it is a sacred land chosen by Allaah and He made it a place where virtuous acts of worship are performed, [such as]  the Hajj which is one of the pillars of Islaam. Allaah gave this place virtues that cannot be enumerated, such as the increased reward attached to good deeds [performed in Makkah and Madeenah] and gave this land virtue over all other lands of the earth.

The second major sin is committed by the person who wants that the pre-Islamic traditions should remain in Islaam, as if he gives precedence to the pre-Islamic traditions – the evil customs that were followed during that period and the misguided deeds- over the Islamic practices, Eemaan, Ihsaan, their virtue and virtue of the Sunnah. He is guilty of committing a major sin, and this includes giving precedence to Bidah over [the authentic] Sunnah that guides to the straight path.

The third major sin is to seek to shed somebody’s blood without any right – meaning: seeking to shed the blood of a Muslim without right and doing so based on oppression and animosity. Shedding the blood of a Muslim is a great crime, just as the Prophet said, “The extinction of the whole world is less significant to Allaah than killing a Muslim [i.e. unlawfully]”. And he [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] stated regarding the rights of the Ka’bah, “How great you are and how great is your sanctity! But the sanctity of a believer is greater than yours in the sight of Allaah”.

It is not permissible to transgress against the Muslims and the believers – males and females- in the sanctuaries of [Makkah and Madeenah] or in other places due to the great sin and punishment which results from that. [End of quote] [Ref 1]

Don’t Insult My Wife, But You Are Free to Insult The Noblest Prophet! [Reminder to Ed Husain -(Wicked Deceiver and a Shaytaan Amongst Humankind)]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

إِنَّآ أَعۡطَيۡنَـٰكَ ٱلۡكَوۡثَرَ

فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَٱنۡحَرۡ

إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ ٱلۡأَبۡتَرُ

Verily, We have granted you (O Muhammad) Al-Kauthar (a river in Paradise);

Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only). For he who makes you angry (O Muhammad) will be cut off (from every good thing in this world and in the Hereafter).

[Surah Al-Kawthar]

[إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ ٱلۡأَبۡتَرُ – he who makes you angry (O Muhammad) will be cut off (from every good thing in this world and in the Hereafter)] – Meaning, he who hates, reviles and belittles you will be cut off from every good- cut off from deeds that would have helped him in the Hereafter and cut off from being remembered [with good]. As for Muhammad [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam], he is the perfect human being in truth, who attained the highest level of human perfection, his name exalted and he has numerous helpers and followers. [Ref 1]

Firstly, this is what will happen to a person who hates, belittles and slanders the noblest Messenger of Allaah Muhammad [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam].

Secondly, this same noble Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] taught us a golden rule regarding behaviour towards others, which the Militant French Secularists do not act upon when dealing with others. Yazeed Ibn Asad [radiyallaahu-anhu] said, “O Yazeed! Love for people what you love for yourself”. He [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] also said, “Do not treat people, except in the same way you would love to be treated by them”. [Saheeh Al-Jaami 180]

Indeed, this is what the noble Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] taught this Ummah and he was the first to act upon it. However, look at how the militant secularists behave – those who give their citizens the right to insult the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam]!

Read dispute between France and Brazil

Indeed , this is a clear example to show us how Kufr [disbelief] and evil desires clouds the judgement of a person. How is it possible that a person does not allow people to insult his wife but he supports those who insult the noblest Prophet of Allaah?!  However, to make matters worse, Ed Husain – the wicked deceiver and a shaytaan amongst humankind, and may Allaah guide him or afflict his tongue with a deadly disease – defends the militant secularists, saying:

Indeed, the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] never insulted anyone and he commanded us not to insult anyone – commanded us to love for others what we love for ourselves and treat others in the manner we would love to be treated. We are not in need of being taught anything by these people, rather we suffice with the path of the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam].

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said: Muhammad’s [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] Ummah is not in need of anyone after him; rather the only need they have is someone to convey what he came with. Muhammad’s [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] message is comprehensive, universal and preserved. This universality, comprehensiveness and preservation is not limited to [any time and place], rather it is comprehensive for those to whom Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] was sent [i.e. the whole world] and likewise with regards to everything that is needed in the fundamental and subsidiary issues of the religion.

Muhammad’s [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] message is sufficient, all embracing and universal- nothing else is needed besides it. It has not isolated any affair of truth needed by his Ummah in their sciences and deeds. The Messenger of Allaah [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] did not leave this world until he acquainted his Ummah with everything. He even taught them the etiquettes of using the toilet; the etiquettes of sexual relations; the etiquettes of sleep and after waking up; the etiquettes of eating, drinking and travel.

He acquainted them with the etiquettes of speech and silence; the etiquettes of keeping company with the people and seclusion. He acquainted them with the affairs of illness, good health, poverty and wealth. He acquainted them with all the affairs of life and death. He described Allaah’s throne, the angels, the jinn, the hell fire and the day of judgement in such a manner as if one has seen them with the naked eye. He [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] informed them about their Lord and His Perfect Names and Attributes, and that Allaah alone is their true object of worship.

He acquainted them with the Prophets of old and their nations – the events that took place between them and their nations – in such a manner as if one was present at that time. He acquainted them with all the means to good and the paths of evil- in general and in detail- which no other prophet informed his nation. He acquainted them with death and what will take place in the grave – either bliss or punishment. He acquainted them with the evidences and proofs of Tawheed [i.e. the oneness of Allaah in His Lordship, Names and Attributes, and that Allaah alone has the right to be worshipped].

He acquainted them with Prophet hood and the affairs of the Afterlife, and he refuted all the sects of disbelief and misguidance. He acquainted them with war strategies- how to confront the enemy, the way to achieve victory and conquests. If only they knew and understood these affairs in the correct manner [i.e. the manner it should be understood], they would not be overcome by their enemy. He acquainted them with the plots of Iblees and the ways through which he approaches them, and the ways to repel those plots and plans. He acquainted them with the soul- its characteristics and faults- in such a manner that they are not in need of anyone else to tell them about it. He taught them how to live their daily lives and had they acknowledged and acted upon this; their worldly affairs would be firmly established. He brought them all the means of success in this life and the next, and they do not need anyone besides him. So how can it be said that the path of Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] is in need of something else outside of it. The reason for such a claim is due to the weak and little understanding of a person. Allaah [The Most High] said:

أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِهِمْ أَنَّا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَرَحْمَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Is it not sufficient for them that We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur’an) which is recited to them? Verily, herein is mercy and a reminder (or an admonition) for a people who believe. [29:51]

Allaah [The Most High] said:

وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ تِبْيَانًا لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ

And We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur’an) as an exposition of everything, a guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who have submitted themselves (to Allah as Muslims). [16:89]

Allaah [The Most High] said:

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَشِفَاءٌ لِّمَا فِي الصُّدُورِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord [i.e. the Qur’an, ordering all that is good and forbidding all that is evil], and a healing for that [disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences, etc.] in your breasts, – a guidance and a mercy [explaining lawful and unlawful things, etc.] for the believers. [10:57] [Ref 2]

One of The Noblest Aspects of Knowledge Is to Pay Attention to The Characteristics of The Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] – By Shaikh Abdur Razzaaq Al-Badr [hafidhahullaah]

Shaikh Abdur Razzaaq Al-Badr [hafidhahullaah] said: Indeed, one of the greatest bestowals on a believing slave of Allaah – which leads to guidance and righteous deeds -is that Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] facilitates for him the path to seeking knowledge, grants him an ardent zeal and eagerness for knowledge. Seeking knowledge is something one never feels that he has acquired enough, rather whenever a path to knowledge is made available, he pursues it.

Allaah protects the student of knowledge, guides and aids him, therefore it is obligated on a student of knowledge to exalt the affair of turning to Allaah [in submission, obedience etc] and that what he learns should be a proof for him and not against him; and that Allaah increases him in knowledge, facilitates him with the path to good and guidance. “Whoever follows a path in search of knowledge Allaah will make easy for a him a path to paradise”.

One of the noblest aspects of knowledge – an affair that occupies a mighty station- is to pay close attention to the characteristics of the Prophet, his specific qualities and deeds by way of which Allaah distinguished him from everyone amongst mankind, his manners, etiquettes and biography. That is because he is the greatest Imaam [leader] and the perfect example. Indeed, Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] commanded us to follow his example, made him an Imaam [leader] and example for us. Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said:

لَّقَدۡ كَانَ لَكُمۡ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسۡوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ۬ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرۡجُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلۡيَوۡمَ ٱلۡأَخِرَ وَذَكَرَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرً۬ا

Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much. [Surah Al-Ahzaab. Aayah 21]

This noble Aayah – as the people of knowledge have stated – is a basis to established the fact that the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] is to be emulated; [but] emulating him cannot be actualized except by way of acquainting oneself with his characteristics, his qualities in general, his specific qualities and deeds by way of which Allaah distinguished him from everyone amongst humankind, his manners and etiquettes. The one who is unacquainted with the Prophet’s [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] characteristics and manners will not be able to emulate him, and that is why the scholars [of Islaam] have written beneficial books regarding his characteristics and qualities.

The manners and qualities of the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] are a means of inviting [mankind] to this mighty religion [of Islaam]. Indeed, many people- during his era and thereafter – have been guided through their acquaintance with his manners and qualities. One used to come to him whilst harbouring the severest hatred towards him,  but after meeting him and [observing] his great [unmatched noble] etiquettes, noble manners, lofty dealings and benevolence, the person would depart whilst loving him more than everyone else on the face of the earth. Therefore, his characteristics are a means to calling to this religion- a weapon for the one inviting the people in the path of Allaah.

Speaking about his qualities, emulating him and calling others to emulate him strengthens the religion of Islaam, because he was the one whom Allaah appointed to convey and explain the religion to humankind. Allaah chose him and he is the best of all the slaves of Allaah- the greatest in his servitude to Allaah. Calling the people to emulate his qualities is a means to calling people to believe in the religion ordained by Allaah and a means to strengthening the belief of the one who has already believed in his Messenger-ship. This is why turning away from his Seerah has been the cause of people’s inclination towards the path of losers amongst men and women [i.e. those upon a path other than the path of Allaah]. As for the biographies of the Imaams of Guidance- the greatest of them being the Messenger, they are a means of rectifying the person and a means to safety from corruption and evil.  On the other hand, the biography of the losers is a path that will lead to evil, ruin and corruption. Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said:

Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels [denying them, and with hatred to listen to them]. In pride [they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram], talking evil about it [the Qur’an] by night. Have they not pondered over the Word [of Allaah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet], or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger [Muhammad] so they deny him? [i.e. this is a rebuke against them because all of them – young and old – knew his lineage, truthfulness and trustworthiness, yet they turned away from his message]. [Surah Al-Muminoon. Aayaat 66-69]

This shows that contemplating on the Qur’aan and acquainting oneself with the Messenger’s guidance and biography is a path leading to safety, and a safeguard against turning back on one’s heels [i.e. a safeguard against turning away from the guidance he was sent with]. On the other hand, abandoning the Seerah of the Prophet and inclining towards the Seerah of the losers [i.e. those men and women upon other than the guidance of the Messenger] will lead to ruin. The people became corrupted – in this era – after being put to trial through movies and films; but had they turned to the biographies of the Prophets and the noble companions of the Prophet Muhammad, they would have found guidance and a path leading to steadfastness. [3]

Reading The Biography of The Messenger Increases The Believer In Certainty – By Shaikh Saaleh Aala Ash-Shaikh [hafidhahullaah]

Shaikh Saaleh Aala Ash-Shaikh [hafidhahullaah] said:

Studying the prophet’s biography (sallallāhu alaihi wa salam) and reading it, makes the certainty of the believer to become stronger, makes his steadfastness and perseverance upon the religion of Allah stronger, makes the believer’s heart to be honourable due to Islam, ennobled by [his adherence to sound] Islamic monotheism, ennobled due to what his heart contains of knowledge and awareness of Allah, ennobled due to his belief in Muhammad (sallallāhu alaihi wa salam) and ennobled by that which Allāh sent down upon his Messengers. Allaah said: [وَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ – But honour, power and glory belong to Allah, His Messenger (Muhammad sallallāhu alaihi wa salam), and to the believers]. [Al-Munāfiqūn 8] These are from the many benefits that every believer benefit from by studying the biography of The Chosen One (المصطفى) (sallallāhu alaihi wa salam). [4]

The Sound Religion Is What Will Rectify The Souls And Not The Modern Sciences- By Imaam As-Sadi [rahimahullaah]

Imaam Sadi [rahmahullaah] said:

Indeed, it is impossible to rectify the souls and acquire virtue solely through the worldly sciences. Experience and clearly witnessed circumstances are the greatest proofs regarding this affair, because despite its advancement and vastness it has been unable to nurture and rectify the souls [i.e. upon excellent traits, manners, dealings, characteristics, sound creed etc] which are the determinants of [sound] rectification and success. What the Religion of Islaam propagates is that which is entrusted with this rectification; it is what will guide the thoughts towards the truthful and authentic sources of knowledge, guide the actions of the people towards good and prevent them from evil. Islam is The Rectifier of the Creeds and Manners- the thing that cultivates the thoughts [upon righteousness], urges towards virtuousness and prevents from depravity.

The essence of that which the religion calls to – regarding belief in the Unseen, which includes belief in Allaah and that which He possesses of Names, Attributes and Actions of perfection; belief in Angels, belief in recompense for one’s good and bad deeds in this life and the next, which cannot be known except through the Messengers, is what acquaints a person with the fact that rectification – in reality – is not possible through other than sound belief and the religion of Islaam.

Therefore, even if the worldly sciences rectify [some] affairs based upon that which [some] people know in detail, it will still not be equal [in perfection, excellence etc] to the knowledge of the Messengers [in the least]. It will neither reach that which is reached through the knowledge of the Messengers nor can it influence the souls in the manner in which the knowledge of the Messengers has done; for indeed the souls do not voluntarily submit except through belief in Allaah, belief in His Angels, belief in His Books, belief in His Messengers and belief in the hereafter. And without this, voluntary submission is impossible, as is well known regarding human nature. [Ref 5]

Progress In The Worldly Affairs Is Sought After, But We Must Return to Our Deen- By Saudi King Abdul Azeez [rahimahullaah]

Saudi King Abdul Azeez [rahimahullaah] said: Indeed, the progress and advancement of the Muslims is among those affairs we [pursue]–we call to it by the will of Allaah. [However] there cannot be advancement for the Muslims without a return to their religion, adherence to their sound creed and holding onto the Rope of Allaah [i.e. the Qur’aan and the Sunnah]. The path towards this is clear and facilitated for the one who wants to follow it, and that is to single out Allaah in worship – to be free from shirk and bidah- and act on that which the religion has commanded us, for indeed there is no benefit in speech if not [accompanied] by action. [Ref 6]

The Evil Consequences That Will Accompany Worldly Knowledge When Devoid of Sound Religion- By Imaam As-Sadi [rahimahullaah]

Imaam As-Sadi [rahimahullaah] said: Industrialization And Modern Inventions: Everyone has participated in it – the righteous, the wicked, the believer and the disbeliever. As for religion and [virtuous] manners, then indeed -in this era-, it has greatly declined. So, when this industrial advancement is devoid of Deen and Eemaan, it became a great harm from two angles:

Firstly: It beguiled many people, who – due of their ignorance – think that worldly advancement is proof to show that its people are more worthy of achieving every good than others. They are clearly misguided, for indeed a person might be from the most skillful in affairs related to the material world, whilst he is one of the most ignorant people in affairs related to the deen, virtuous manners and the [other] beneficial affairs in this life and the next.

Secondly: When these inventions are devoid of Deen, its mercy and wisdom, it becomes a great disaster for humankind due to the wars that resulted from them, killing, destruction and other affairs related to it. Its regulators [or overseers] and scholars are unable to laydown – for humankind -a stable, just and good life, rather they have not ceased moving from one misrable state to another. This is inevitable and the continuous state of affairs shows that [to be the case]. Therefore all good is found in the sound religion and all evil is found in rejecting and willfully denying [Allaah, His Messengers, His Laws, Guidance, Commands, Prohibitions etc] [Ref 7]

And Allaah knows best

[19] Brief Rebuttal Against Ed Husain: [13 Brief Comments On Ed Husain’s Ambiguous Statements and Satanic Insinuations Regarding Freedom of Speech, Extremism, Salafism, Caliphate And Security]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Why Is Ed Husain Rebutted

The Prophet [alayhis salaatu wassalaam] said:

‘’The best of the people are those living in my generation, then those who will follow the latter and then those who come after them. Then there will come after them people who will be treacherous and will not be trustworthy, they will bear witness without being asked to do so, and they will vow, but will never fulfil their vows, and fatness will appear among them’’.

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi [rahimahullaah] said:

‘’They give false testimony, act treacherously and deceitfully. They behave in a very sinful manner and follow evil desires, except those whom Allaah safeguards amongst the Taa’ifatul Mansoorah [i.e. the aided group of Muslims upon the straight path] – those whom Allaah’s Messenger [alayhis salaatu wassalaam] praised. Therefore, it is obligated on us to acquire knowledge for the sake of Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] and act upon it. Ignorance is a deadly disease and knowledge is a weapon that will destroy you if you do not act upon it, and Allaah’s refuge is sought. [Ref A]

Indeed, there is no doubt that Ed Husain and his Ilk have fallen into a dangerous pit of destructive negligence and ambiguity whilst seeking to confront the destructive methodology of the Khaaerijites (terrorists). By Allaah, it is incumbent upon Ed Husain to refrain from speaking about the Deen of Allaah, because he is a deviant and a caller to deviation – one who has clearly opposed the Manhaj of the Sahaabah, confounds truth with false and a promoter of ideas that are tantamount to kufr.

In an article written for the Guardian, he stated:

Quote Number 1: “The killing of journalists in Paris on Wednesday was not only an attack on France but also an assault on Islam and the very freedoms that allow 30 million Muslims to prosper in the west”.

Comment: Yes, indeed the killing of anyone by way of vigilantism is condemned in the pure religion of Islaam, but as for the freedoms Ed Husain seeks to portray as that which has allow 30million Muslims to proper, then indeed such freedom has to be measured based on the Qur’aan and the authentic Sunnah, and this is why regardless the freedom given to upright Muslims, they make good use of it by adhering to the commands of Allaah and the Messenger to the best of their ability. They do not utilise such freedom to promote ideas and views that are tantamount to Kufr, Shirk and deviation from the path of the Sahaahab, because this is what Ed Husain has fallen into.

Quote Number 2: Ed Husain said: “Free speech is not a western concept: it is a universal craving of the human soul. The gunmen ran away shouting that they were “avenging the prophet Muhammad”. How dare they? We cannot let the murderers define Islam”.

Comment: Yes, indeed Mr Husain is right in saying that free speech is a craving of the human soul, but our Lord [The Most High] reminded us of the dangers and evil consequences of the unrestrained soul and tongue. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). [Surah Qaaf. Aayaat 16-18]

The Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said:

“When the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all the limbs humble themselves before the tongue and say: ”Fear Allaah for our sake, (for) we are with you; if you are upright, we will be upright; and if you are crooked, we will become crooked.” [a]

The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) also said: ”Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his mouth, his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him.” [b]

Imaam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said: This requires two affairs; [a] A lot of remembrance (of Allaah); [b] keeping away from gatherings of heedlessness and doubts, and (keeping away from) that which will result in fornication and nonsense speech. [c]

Al-Hasan Bin Saaleh (rahimahullaah) said:

“I scrutinized Wara (apprehensive fear) thoroughly and did it find it more lacking in anything than the tongue.” [d]

Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad (rahimahullaah) said:

“Neither hajj nor taking up positions during battle, nor Jihaad are more difficult than restraining the tongue.” [5]

Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisee (rahimahullaah) said:

Know that whoever is acquainted with the worth of his era and that it is his main capital, he will not seek an understanding except in what is beneficial. This acquaintance obligates restraining one’s tongue from speaking about that which does not concern him, for indeed the one who abandons the remembrance of Allaah (The Most High) and busies himself with what does not concern him, then he is like one who is able to get hold of a gem but exchanges it for a clod of earth.  This is a loss of one’s lifespan. [6]

Therefore, the upright Muslim takes himself to account in order that the desire to speak – just because he has been given the freedom – does not lead him to loss in the Aakhirah

Quote Number 3: Ed Husain’s statement said, “The gunmen ran away shouting that they were “avenging the prophet Muhammad”. How dare they? We cannot let the murderers define Islam”.

Comment: Yes, indeed the gunmen do not represent Islaam because it is well-known to the people of Sunnah that they are upon a wicked and twisted methodology – ISIS and their ilk; but also Islaam is free from the deviations of Ed Husain and Muslim cannot allow his ideas to define Islaam, because he utters disbelief – a promoter of Darwin’s theory of evolution and promoter of the heretical philosophers (Ibn Sina, Al-Farabi, Al-Jaahiz etc). [See here: https://salaficentre.com/2020/10/01/on-philosophy-renaissance-and-saudi-arabia-section-1-eleven-short-responses-to-ed-husains-a-caller-to-one-of-the-paths-of-iblees-at-quilliam-foundation-satanic-insinuat/

Quote Number 4: Ed Husain said, “In seventh-century Mecca, it was the prophet Muhammad who fought for free speech to proclaim one God as the creator of life and worthy of worship. The city’s pagans were his violent persecutors. Today Muslims live freely in every European country because of the very freedoms that the terrorists struck at. Without the freedom to blaspheme and believe, Muslims would be seen as heretics and would be unable to flourish as faith communities in the west. The pogroms and wars of religion in Europe’s history bear testament to European life without freedom”.

Comment: By Allaah Ed Husain is a foolish deviant! The Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] cannot be attributed to this lie. He was not fighting for freedom of speech, rather he was fulfilling the command that was given to all the Messengers [alayhimus salaam] that call to Tawheed, enjoin good and forbid evil. Allaah [The Exalted] stated:

And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): “Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc. i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah).” Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). [Surah An-Nahl. Aayah 36]

Allaah [The Most High] said:

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلۡمُدَّثِّرُ

قُمۡ فَأَنذِرۡ

وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرۡ

وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرۡ

وَٱلرُّجۡزَ فَٱهۡجُرۡ

وَلَا تَمۡنُن تَسۡتَكۡثِرُ

وَلِرَبِّكَ فَٱصۡبِرۡ

O you (Muhammad) enveloped (in garments)! Arise and warn! And your Lord (Allah) magnify! And your garments purify! And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)! And give not a thing in order to have more (or consider not your deeds of Allah’s obedience as a favour to Allah). And be patient for the sake of your Lord (i.e. perform your duty to Allah)! [Surah Al-Muddath-thir. Aayaat 1-7]

This was a commanded to proclaim truth – a call to humankind that they return to their sound natural disposition by singling out Allaah in worship and abandon all false deities. This is purpose behind the creation of Jinn and humankind as Allaah [The Exalted] stated:

وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِ

And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). [Surah Adh-Dhaariyaat. Aayah 56]

This was no struggle for freedom of speech, rather the noble Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] was commanding good and forbidding evil – commanding humankind to worship Allaah alone, abandon polytheism and obey Allaah. The Shahaadah itself teaches us the foundation of the Messenger’s call, as Shaikh Abdullah al-Bukhaari [hafidhahullaah] said:

“And from which the people of knowledge have affirmed is that this religion is established on two affairs: Clarification of the truth and refuting falsehood and its people.  The affirmation of this (affair) becomes manifest to the one who contemplates on the statement of Tawheed [لا إله إلا الله] with clarification and by way of explanation. The saying of the slave (i.e. the Muslim)  لا إله is a refutation against falsehood and its people-those who deify others besides Allaah. And the statement   إلا الله is an affirmation of truth and a clarification of it. And it (means) that Allaah alone has the right to be worshipped and He has no partner. Likewise, the statement محمد رسول الله is an affirmation of the Messengership of the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and a refutation against the one who gives him a status above that and thus deifies him; or lowers the rank of his Prophethood and Messengership. [Source:المقالات الشرعيّة page 14-15] [End of quote]

This what the affair is and not Ed Husain’s absurd claim that the Messenger [sallal laahu-alayhi wasallam] was the first to fight for free speech. Ed Husain is absolutely certain that no upright Muslim will accept this nonsense, but he is desperately seeking for anything through which he continue to open the unrestricted door to freedom speech that has led him to utter statements of Kufr. He retweets statements of Kufr regarding Darwin’s theory of evolution and even supports the vile militant secularists who attack the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam]. We seek refuge with Allaah against the devils amongst mankind and Jinn- by Allaah Ed Husain is a wicked liar and only Allaah knows what this man hides in his heart. Subhaanallaah! He fraudulently uses the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] as his authority for freedom of speech and defends the people who use  that freedom of speech to abuse the Prophet – opens a door to kufr and defends the people who commit that kufr. https://salaficentre.com/2020/10/16/16-brief-rebuttal-against-ed-husain-a-shaytaan-ex-tahreeri-at-quilliam-foundation-recommends-article-that-promotes-deviant-al-jaahiz-al-mubtadi-a-proponent-of-the-satanic-idea-an/   https://salaficentre.com/2020/10/26/18-shaytaan-ed-husain-adds-to-his-filth-and-misguidance-and-openly-defends-the-french-militant-secularists-may-allaah-guide-him-or-break-his-back/

As for the manner in which one deals with a person who commits blasphemy, then this is one of the areas exploited by the Khaarijites (terrorists)- those who take the law into their own hands and murder their fellow citizens. This is another satanic path – another extreme and it is not sanctioned by the Sharee’ah of Allaah. Regardless what a Muslim or non-Muslim says or does- either in a Muslim or non-Muslim land, we return to the law of the land and never take the law into our own hands. See here: The Salafi Response To The Terrorist Attacks In Paris, France: “Were they forbidding an evil?”  [https://www.abukhadeejah.com/the-salafi-response-to-the-terrorist-attacks-in-paris-france-were-they-forbidding-an-evil/] [https://www.salafisounds.com/bbc-interview-abu-khadeejah-regarding-terrorist-attacks-in-paris-salafism-women-in-islam/]

Quote Number 5: Ed Husain said: “Islam and Muslims are secure in the west because of freedom of speech, conscience, press and religion. To attack those freedoms is to attack Islam’s existence. The dangerous ignorance of the extremists is not limited to their failure to understand the west. They do not know the prophet for whom they claim to kill”.

Comment: This is an exaggeration; rather it is impossible – in the West and even in some Muslim countries – to establish the Sunnah of the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] in the manner it was established in every aspect of the religion. Yes indeed, we are allowed to proclaim our religion and practice, but this does not mean that we are free t practice our religion in the manner it was practiced by the Sahaabah, otherwise the contemporary European nations would have would have turned into Medieval Spain. However, this does not mean that we violate the law or isolate ourselves from the rest of society; rather we keep good relations with our fellow citizens and strive to hold onto our Islaam -distanced from the satanic methodology of the Khaarijites (terrorists), the satanic methodology of the militant secularists, heretical philosophers and those callers to corruption who propagate Ed Husain’s destructive negligence. Indeed, just as the terrorists do not know the Prophet they are seeking to defend through their satanic acts, then likewise Ed Husain does not know the Prophet he is seeking to defend through his satanic philosopher and his call to the freedom of expression of the vile Militant Secularists. As for Ahlus Sunnah, they are upon the balance path. Read articles by Shaikh Abdul Waahid [hafidhahullaah] below.

Quote Number 6: Ed Husain said, “Unable to observe Islam freely in Mecca, the prophet migrated to Medina. There his first act was to build a mosque, the most sacred structure for a believer. An Arab man entered the mosque and urinated in front of the prophet with no care for the sanctity of the mosque. How did the prophet respond to this deepest of insults to Islam and himself? He cleaned the mosque, stopped Muslims from expelling the man and explained the inviolability of a place of worship”.

Comment: Yes indeed the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] migrated to Makkah because Allaah commanded him to do so when the evil Mushrikoon plotted to kill him. As for the man who urinated in the Masjid, then indeed this is well known in the books of Fiqh. The hadeeth teaches us gentleness and wisdom when enjoining good and forbidding evil, especially when dealing with people who are ill-informed. However, this has nothing to do with your struggle for freedom of speech which is based on opening a door to kufr and then defending the militant secularists. Read more here about man who urinated in the masjid: https://www.troid.org/media/pdf/hadeethofthebedouin.pdf

Quote Number 7: Ed Husain said, “There are many such lessons of compassion, kindness and care in the life of the prophet that are airbrushed by today’s fanatics. The bigotry of the Salafi jihadis can only be challenged and eventually uprooted by educating them on the prophet of Islam described in the Qur’an “as a mercy to the worlds”. Many in the world today would be rightly asking “where is this mercy?” For what we see is beheadings, wars and suicide bombings in the name of religion. Sadly, we will continue to witness such evil unless we address the motivations of the Salafi jihadist killers. They kill in the name of religion; we cannot respond by citing the virtues of Darwin, secularism and materialism. The only language these radicals understand is that of religion. It is by mustering the best of religion that we defeat the worst of It”.

Comment: Firstly, yes indeed, we are well aware of the lessons of compassion, kindness and care in the life of the noble Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam], because indeed Allaah [The Exalted] stated about him: [ وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ۬-And verily, you (O Muhammad) are on an exalted standard of character]. [Surah Al-Qalam. Aayah 4]

There is no doubt that the fanatics do no act upon the manners of the Messenger due to their religious innovations and fanatism, just as Ed Husain’s negligence and satanic philosophy leads him  to oppose the excellent manners of the Messenger by advocating the type of freedom of speech that leads to the Kufr of the Militant Secularists. The fanatics call to extremism and Ed Husain calls to extreme negligence. Listen here by Shaikh Abu Hakeem [hafidhahullaah]: https://www.salafisounds.com/allaah-warns-against-extremism-and-negligence-by-abu-hakeem/

Secondly as for attaching the word Jihadis to the word Salafi, then this shows Ed Husain’s repugnant ignorance in this subject matter.  Shaikh. Dr Abu Iyaadh [hafidhahullaah] said: “Welcome to Salafis.Com! There is much talk regarding Salafis and Salafiyyah in books, journals, the press and various other media. The “Salafi Way” is not something new, invented or innovated. By definition, it is the pure Islaam which the Companions of Allaah’s Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) held onto. When the sects foretold by the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) appeared, those who took knowledge from the Companions began to verbally express the obligation of holding onto the way of (السلف الصالح), “The Righteous Predecessors.” From such statements is the saying of Imaam al-Zuhree (d. 124H), “Adhere to the tracks of the Salaf, even if the people reject you. And beware of the opinions of men, even if they beautify it for you with speech.” Hence, Salafiyyah is not a later innovation. Salafis are the target of sectarian bias and bigotry for many factions, from them the Raafidah, Soofiyyah, Kharijites and Takfiris, the blind-followers of the madhaahib, Secularists, Modernists and many others. As such there is a lot of propaganda in the field which is unfortunately entered into what is claimed to be “objective research”. To make matters more confusing is the presence of numerous orientations falsely ascribing to Salafiyyah despite their deviations from it in their foundations and methodologies. Many of the takfiri, Khariji groups make this false ascription. This adds another layer of confusion to anyone wanting to research and understand Salafiyyah, and leads to Salafis being wrongly attributed with the iniquities of the Takfiris and Kharijites. In light of all of these realities, this website aims to provide relevant information and critical evaluation and analysis of the various views and opinions that are being scattered in books, journals, blogs, websites, audios and videos in relation to “Salafis” and “Salafiyyah”. http://www.salafis.com/ [End of quote]

Thirdly, just as the fanatics need education and deradicalization, likewise Ed Husain needs education in Aqeedah and Manhaj. Ed needs sound Aqeedah so that he refrains from promoting Darwins’ kufr, refrains from promoting the heretical philosophers (Ibn Sina, Al-Faribi etc) and refrains from defending the French militant secularists-those who utilise freedom of expression to attack the noblest Prophet of Allaah. Read here again regarding Ed Husain’s misguidance: https://salaficentre.com/2020/10/16/16-brief-rebuttal-against-ed-husain-a-shaytaan-ex-tahreeri-at-quilliam-foundation-recommends-article-that-promotes-deviant-al-jaahiz-al-mubtadi-a-proponent-of-the-satanic-idea-an/   https://salaficentre.com/2020/10/26/18-shaytaan-ed-husain-adds-to-his-filth-and-misguidance-and-openly-defends-the-french-militant-secularists-may-allaah-guide-him-or-break-his-back/

Quote Number 8: Ed Husain said, “The murders in Paris are not an isolated incident but part of a global trend of young Muslims disenchanted with the modern world, finding consolation in the theology and ideology of literalist sharia, killing, vengeance, punishment, domination and imposing their worldview as state law. Al-Qaida, Isis, Somalia’s al-Shabaab and others are only manifestations of this mindset”.

Comment: Modernity and the modern world is a problem for both Ed Husain and these young Muslims, because they find themselves in opposite directions – the extremism of the Khaaarijites and the negligence of the heretical philosophers. As for the people of Sunnah, they are upon the balanced path. Just as the terrorists and extremists – Al-Qaida, Isis, Somalia’s al-Shabaab, Jabhat An-Nusra, Ed Husain’s former group known as Hizb at-tahreer – follow ambiguities to justify their extremism, likewise Ed Husain utilises ambiguities to promote a corrupt concept of freedom of speech and rationalism. Indeed, this is a path of deviation warned against by Allaah and the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] Allaah (The Most High) said:

It is He (Allaah) Who has sent down to you (Muhammad) the book. In it are Aayaat that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking (polytheism and trials)….[3:7] Aaisha (radiyallaahu anhaa) said: The messenger ( sallal.laahu.alayhi wasallam ) recited this ayah and said: “if you see those who follow thereof that is not entirely clear then they are those whom Allaah has named ( as having deviation from the truth). So beware of them.” [Saheeh Al-Bukhari. Book of commentary]

When you look at the shortest explanation of this ayah by the scholars of Tafseer, you find the likes of Imaam Saa’di (rahimahullah) saying that all the Aayaat of the Great Qur’aan are absolutely clear, as Allaah (The Most High) said:

[الر ۚ كِتَابٌ أُحْكِمَتْ آيَاتُهُ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ مِنْ لَدُنْ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ- A Book whereof are perfect aayaat (in every sphere of knowledge and then explained in detail from One (Allaah), Who is All-Wise, Well-Acquainted (with all things)][Hud. Ayah:1]

The Qur’aan is gathered upon absolute perfection, precision (in its commandments, prohibitions, laws, creed etc), justice and goodness, as Allaah also stated:

[ۚوَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ – And who is better in judgement than Allaah for a people who have firm faith” [Maa-idah: Ayah:50 ]

All the sections of the Qur’aan resemble each other in beauty and eloquence, and affirms the truthfulness of each other.

As for what is mentioned in this ayah concerning Ihkaam (i.e. the Aayaat of the Qur’aan being perfect, clear and precise in meaning) and Tashaabu (i.e. that some Aayaat in certain places in the Qur’aan require explanation and elaboration through other aayaat), then firstly: ‘Ihkaam’ means that there are those Aaayaat that are clear in what they indicate without any difficulty in understanding them -these Aayaat are the foundations of the Qur’aan to which one returns every affair he finds unclear, and the vast majority of the Qur’aan is comprised of these Aayaat. Secondly: ‘Tashaabuh’ means that there are other Aayaat whose precise intended meaning are either not immediately clear to some people or are misunderstood because they indicate a general unrestricted meaning.  Therefore, the vast majority of the Aayaat are clear and manifest to everyone and they are the majority of what is referred back to, and there are Aayaat that are difficult for some people to understand, so it is obligatory to refer those Aayaat to other Aayaat that explains their precise intended meanings. This is the path the Qur’aan takes in confirming the truthfulness of its Aayaat and there are no contradictions or opposition in this.

However, the people are divided into two groups in this affair, and the first group as Allaah stated are those in whose hearts there is deviation (from the truth)- those who turn away from uprightness and harbour corrupt intentions. Their intention is misguidance and their hearts are deviated from the path of guidance. These people only cling to those Aayaat that require elaboration and explanation through other Aayaat and they abandon those Aayaat that must be referred back to in order to explain them. And the reason they do this is to seek trials and tribulations for those whom they call to their deviated paths.

Therefore, it is obligated on a Muslim that he does not rush towards the one who quotes Aayaat and Ahaadeeth to support his views until he is certain that such a person is from the well-known people of knowledge, those worthy of being referred back to. And if not, he will fall into the hands of those people whom Allaah has censured in this Ayah-those who solely cling to the Aayaat that require explanation and elaboration in order to deceive the people, whilst desiring trials, tribulations and false interpretations by way of that. So you see him quoting Aayaat and Ahaadeeth to support his claims, but when such Aayaat and Ahaadeeth are examined you find that he only seeks to establish his claims solely by way of those that require elaboration, but he does not refer them back to the ones that give that explanation and elaboration.

[Wasaa-il Ahlil Baatil Fee Taqreeri Baatilihim of page:20]

As for Ed Husain’s statement regarding literalism, then indeed this requires further clarification. Read article by Shaikh Abdul Waahid Abu Khadeejah [hafidhahullaah]: https://www.abukhadeejah.com/ibn-uthaimeen-the-important-principles-in-the-names-and-attributes-of-allaah-part-1-of-4/

Quote Number 9: Ed Husain said, “There is a raging battle of ideas within Islam across the world today. The extremism, terrorism and sectarian warfare is an overspill of this intra-faith theological conflict. The vast majority of the victims of terrorists are Muslims because the intolerance of the zealot targets fellow Muslims first. In Pakistan alone, more than 40,000 Muslims have lost their lives to terrorism since 2001. The violence reaches the west only occasionally”.

Comment: This raging battle mentioned by Ed Husain is nothing else but the deviation which he is part of. The Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] informed of us the emergence of the deviant sects, and just as the khaarijites (terrorists) are one of them, likewise Ed Husain is still roaming about blindly – from Hizb at-Taheer to the philosophers, rather he has even added Darwin’s Kufr theory of evolution to his misguidance. The Messenger [salal laahu alayhi wasallam] said: “My Ummah will divide into seventy-three sects, all of them will be in the Fire except for one, and that is the Jamāʿah.” It was said, “And who are they, O Allāh’s Messenger?” He responded, “That which I and my Companions are upon today.” [Red full article here by Shaikh Abu Khadeejah: https://www.abukhadeejah.com/salafis-callers-to-unity-forbid-splitting-ahlul-bidah-hizbies-astray-hyde-park-social-media/

Quote Number 10: Ed Husain said, “When the attacks of 9/11 shook the United States, American Muslims rallied around their government, mosques flew the stars and stripes, and the American president visited a mosque from which to say Islam and Muslims stood beside America. In Britain the government, media and Muslim citizens used the language of religion to delegitimise violence. France has excellent relations with Muslim nations including Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia – and millions of French Muslims who could help marshal the language of religion to isolate and defeat Salafi extremists by countering their arguments”.

Comment: Yes indeed every sane person condemned 9/11, and the Salafiyyoon are foremost in condemning it without falling into Ed Husain’s negligence and misguidance. As for Ed Husain’s statement “Isolate and defeat Salafi extremists by countering their arguments”, we have already commented on something similar to it on quote number 7, therefore listen to this lecture: https://www.salafisounds.com/general-advice-regarding-the-khawarij-terrorists-by-abu-khadeejah/

Quote Number 11: Ed Husain said, “This is a battle of messages and counter-messages – the jihadis call for a caliphate, intolerance, death and wanton destruction. We call for life, pluralism, openness and freedom of religion, conscience and security. The sharia has higher aims that are fully in line with the modern world. Radicals are in urgent need of re-education on Islam. We have the weight of 1,400 years of Muslim history behind us, the vast majority of Muslim scholars and the bulk of the global Muslim population”.

Comment: Firstly, yes indeed, the caliphate will return upon the methodology of the Prophets and none can stop it, but neither will it return based on the methodology of the terrorists nor that of Ed Husain’s; rather it will return based on the methodology of the Prophets. Read article by Shaikh Abu Iyaadh [hafidhahullaah]: http://www.aqidah.com/creed/articles/kyvik-the-khilaafah-lasted-for-30-years-then-there-was-kingship.cfm  http://www.troid.org/media/pdf/methodology.pdf

Secondly, as for intolerance, death and destruction, we have already clarified the manner in which a Muslim is to live amongst non-Muslims with fine conduct on point number 5 and provided links for further information.

Thirdly, yes indeed we also call for life – preserving the lives of people and doing our utmost to repel the ideas of anyone who calls to violence. As for pluralism, which means, “the existence of different types of people who have different beliefs and opinions within the same  society”, then indeed there can be no uprightness unless one’s beliefs are based on the Qur’aan, the authentic Sunnah and the understanding of the Sahaabah. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

فَإِنۡ ءَامَنُواْ بِمِثۡلِ مَآ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦ فَقَدِ ٱهۡتَدَواْ‌ۖ وَّإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَإِنَّمَا هُمۡ فِى شِقَاقٍ۬‌ۖ فَسَيَكۡفِيڪَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ‌ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

So if they believe in the like of that which you believe [O Muhammad], then they are rightly guided, but if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. So Allah will suffice you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. [Surah al-Baqarah. Aayah 137]

Fourthly,  no other belief system or way of life will lead to paradise, except the one ordained by Allaah for the final Messenger. Allaah [The Exalted] stated:

Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, then surely, Allah is Swift in calling to account. So if they dispute with you (Muhammad) say: “I have submitted myself to Allah (in Islam), and (so have) those who follow me.” And say to those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and to those who are illiterates (Arab pagans): “Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allah in Islam)?” If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allah is All-Seer of (His ) slaves. [Aal Imraan. Aayaat 18-19]

Allaah [The Most High] stated:

وَمَن يَبۡتَغِ غَيۡرَ ٱلۡإِسۡلَـٰمِ دِينً۬ا فَلَن يُقۡبَلَ مِنۡهُ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلۡخَـٰسِرِينَ

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. [Surah Aal Imran. Aayah 85]

Therefore this is what our Lord have stated, but our Lord also informed us that none is to be forced to accept Islaam because truth has been made distinct from falsehood. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. [Surah Al-Baqarah  256]

This is truth which Ed Husain never makes clear, because he wants to follow desires.

Therefore, do not compromise this affair, but we obey the law of the lands in which we are residing- neither harass our non-Muslim fellow citizens nor give the terrorists breathing space, nor keep quiet when Ed Husain and his sinful companions seek to promote their deviations in the name of fighting extremism.

Quote Number 12: Security

Indeed, the Salafiyyoon are people who give importance to security.

Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٲهِـۧمُ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَلۡ هَـٰذَا بَلَدًا ءَامِنً۬ا وَٱرۡزُقۡ أَهۡلَهُ ۥ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٲتِ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ مِنۡہُم بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأَخِرِ‌ۖ

And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said, “My Lord, make this city (Makkah) a place of security and provide its people with fruits, such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day.” [2:126]

Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:

Indeed, he (Ibraaheem-alayhis-salaam) gave priority to security (in his supplication) over seeking sustenance, because security is a necessity. Security is a necessity and the people cannot enjoy sustenance alongside fear; rather sustenance cannot be reached in the presence of fear. This is what the enemies’ desire–those who try to destabilise the Muslim societies.  They wish to disassociate the Muslims from their unity behind their Muslim rulers. This is what they desire and they do not desire good advice for the Muslims.

(They wish to disassociate the Muslims from their unity behind their rulers) in name of actualizing beneficial affairs, rectification, removal of oppression and the likes. All of this is lies and false pretences, because if ruler ship slips away chaos will be at large, corruption will spread and the beneficial affairs which they say will be actualized will be non-existent. Corruption will be at large and there will not be rectification.

Therefore, for this reason there has to be ruler ship upon which the Muslims unite.   And even if (such ruler ship) has shortcomings and (affairs pertaining to) negligence, the (people) should exercise patience, because there is a prevention of that which is more severe and harmful in exercising patience.  Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said: ‘’It is not known of a group that rose against their Muslim Ruler, except that their state of affairs after his removal was more evil than their state of affairs whilst he was present.’’

And this is something experienced at present.  The rulers and heads of state who have been removed, what is the state of affairs of their countries after they were (removed)? There has not ceased to be fear, anxiety, chaos, bloodshed etc. [Source: Excerpt From a Juma-ah Khutbah: Khutbah Number 1: dated 1432-03-15: http://www.alfawzan.af.org.sa/node/13208]

However, Ed Husain should understand that security in the afterlife is the main goal and it will only be attained by those whose beliefs are free from Kufr and Shirk Akbar. This should be a severe warning to Ed Husain that he abandons promoting Darwins Kufr theory of evolution. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَلَمۡ يَلۡبِسُوٓاْ إِيمَـٰنَهُم بِظُلۡمٍ أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡأَمۡنُ وَهُم مُّهۡتَدُونَ

It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided. [Surah Al-An’aam. Aayah 82]

Quote Number 13: Ed Husain’s statement: “The sharia has higher aims that are fully in line with the modern world. Radicals are in urgent need of re-education on Islam. We have the weight of 1,400 years of Muslim history behind us, the vast majority of Muslim scholars and the bulk of the global Muslim population”.

Comment: Yes indeed, the religion – as stated by Shaikh Abdullah Al-Bukhaari – has three distinct qualities: comprehensive, perfection and applicable in every era, time and place. However, every new situation encountered by this Ummah is returned to the upright scholars for observation, but not to ahlul bidah – the philosophers and deviants.  Radicals are in urgent need of re-education to repel their extremism, just as Ed Husain is in urgent need of re-education in order to repel the negligence that is leading him to utter statements o Kufr as well as allying with enemies of the Messenger. As for the weight of 1, 400 years of Muslim history, then indeed we learn a lesson from this and examine that which led the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] and the Sahaabah [radiyallaahu-anhum] to strength and victory.

Al-Allaamah Abdul Muhsin al-Abbaad [hafidhahullaah] said:

The Messenger [alayhis salaatu was-salaa] said:

Verily he lives long among you will see a lot of differing, so you must keep to my Sunnah and to the Sunnah of the Khulafaa ar-Rashideen [the rightly guided caliphs]. Adhere to it with your molar teeth (i.e. adhere to it firmly). And beware of newly invented matters [in the religion], for every newly invented matter [in the religion] is a bidah [innovation in the religion], and every bidah is misguidance. [Abu Dawood. Number 4607] [Tirmidhee. Number 2676]

[Also] the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] has clarified -in the hadeeth about the seventy-three sects amongst whom seventy-two sects will enter the hell fire and one sect will be saved-that the saved sect are those who adhere to the path him and his noble companions adhered to.

Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] said:

“The latter part of this Ummah [i.e. those who will come after the Salaf] will not be rectified except by way of that which rectified it’s earlier part [i.e. the Salaf].’’ And he [rahimahullaah) said: ‘’Whoever innovates a bidah in Islaam and considers it to be something good, then indeed he has claimed that Muhammad betrayed the Risaalah (i.e. the message he was entrusted with); because Allaah said: ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ – This day, I have perfected your religion for you]”. [Ref 7]

Finally, this is the sound path, so may Allaah guide Ed Husain or break his back Aameen. Indeed, just as the extremists, radicals and fanatics utilise ambiguities to justify their deviations and extremism, Ed Husain also utilises ambiguities to promote his deviations and misguidance.

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said:

The basis of Banee Aadam’s misguidance is as a result of ‘General Terms’ and ‘Ambiguous Meanings’ [i.e. terms and meanings which can either be utilised for truth or falsehood when not explained in detail and distinguished], especially if they come in contact with a confused mind, then how about when [evil] desires and misguided enthusiasm is added to that? Therefore, ask the One Who keeps the hearts steadfast [i.e. Allaah] to keep your heart firm upon His Religion and not allow you to fall into this darkness. [8]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] also said:

“It is obligated on you to give detail and make a distinction, because unrestricted and general [statements] without clarification has indeed corrupted this existence [i.e. the world], and misguided the intellects and views [of the people] in every era”.

Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [hafidhahullaah] said:

There has to be detail explanation. The one who is not proficient in giving detail should keep quiet, because benefit is not acquired from his speech. And every time error occurs, its cause is due to an absence of detail explanation regarding truth and falsehood. There has to be detail explanation and distinction and not to mix up [affairs]. Indeed, it may be that there is something of truth and falsehood in an opponent’s statement, so all of it is neither deemed to be false nor truth; rather there has to be a distinction between its truth and falsehood. All of it is neither rejected nor accepted; rather a distinction is made regarding the truth and what is correct and the falsehood and error in it. And if you are not proficient in giving detail, then you should not enter into this field. [9]

And Allaah knows best

To be continued InShaaAllaah

The shaytaan Ed Husain – promoter of Darwin’s Kufr theory of evolution and a supporter of the heretical philosophers such as the likes of Ibn Sinaa and Al-Farabi – add s to his misguidance as follows:

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

O you who believe! Take not for Auliya’ (protectors and helpers) those who take your religion for a mockery and fun from among those who received the Scripture before you, nor from among the disbelievers; and fear Allah if you indeed are true believers. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. Aayah 57]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ

And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you, and you have no protectors other than Allah, nor you would then be helped. (Hud: 113)

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [hafidhahullaah] said: Allaah said:

[Do not] incline towards the oppressors, those who oppress the people, (shedding) their blood, (stealing) their wealth and (violating) their honour, or they oppress the people in their religion by way of religious innovations and various forms of misguidance, dissemination of dangerous propaganda and calls that oppose Islam. Do not incline towards anyone from these type of people. Do not aid him and do not help him with his falsehood. The verse includes all of these types (of oppressors). Every follower of falsehood is an oppressor and every innovator is an oppressor. [Ref 1]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

O you who believe! Take not My enemies and your enemies (i.e. disbelievers and polytheists, etc.) as friends, showing affection towards them, while they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, this Qur’an, and Muhammad ), and have driven out the Messenger (Muhammad ) and yourselves (from your homeland) because you believe in Allah your Lord! If you have come forth to strive in My Cause and to seek My Good Pleasure, (then take not these disbelievers and polytheists, etc., as your friends). You show friendship to them in secret, while I am All-Aware of what you conceal and what you reveal. And whosoever of you (Muslims) does that, then indeed he has gone (far) astray, (away) from the Straight Path. [Surah Al-Mumtahina. Aayah 1]

Allaah [The Exlated] said:

Indeed there has been an excellent example for you in Ibrahim (Abraham) and those with him, when they said to their people: “Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allah, we have rejected you, and there has started between us and you, hostility and hatred for ever, until you believe in Allah Alone,” except the saying of Ibrahim (Abraham) to his father: “Verily, I will ask for forgiveness (from Allah) for you, but I have no power to do anything for you before Allah .” Our Lord! In You (Alone) we put our trust, and to You (Alone) we turn in repentance, and to You (Alone) is (our) final Return. “Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the disbelievers, and forgive us, Our Lord! Verily, You, only You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.” [Surah Al-Mumtahina. Aayaat 4-5]

Finally, even though Ed Husain is upon a very dangerous path, however this does not mean that anyone has declared him a kaafir, rather Takfeer is the job of the scholars, but he is definitely an obstinate devil amongst mankind and a wicked caller to evil. May Allaah guide him or break his back Aameen. Read here principles of Takfeer
