Persistent Blame-shifting, Ungrateful and Sinful Behaviour Prior to Their Wretched End: [Lessons to Learn From The Behaviour of Ancient Criminals]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah [The Most High] says in Surah Al-Araaf Aayaat 130-131

[وَلَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَآ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِٱلسِّنِينَ  – And indeed We punished the people of Fir’aun (Pharaoh) with years of famine]; Meaning: Afflictions and drought for a long time; [وَنَقۡصٍ۬ مِّنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٲتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَذَّڪَّرُونَ – and shortness of fruits (crops, etc.), that they might remember (take heed)]; Meaning: They were afflicted in order for them to realise that what befell them was a punishment from Allaah and so that they might abandon their disbelief. However, neither was this admonition useful to them nor did it benefit them, rather they persisted in transgression and corruption.

Then Allaah [The Most High] says: [فَإِذَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ ٱلۡحَسَنَةُ قَالُواْ لَنَا هَـٰذِهِۦ‌ۖ  -But whenever good came to them, they said: “Ours is this]; Meaning: When the land became fertile and provision was in abundance, they said, “We deserve this” and they did not thank Allaah.

Then Allaah [The Most High] says: [  وَإِن تُصِبۡہُمۡ سَيِّئَةٌ۬ يَطَّيَّرُواْ بِمُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُ – And if evil afflicted them, they ascribed it to evil omens connected with Musa (Moses) and those with him]; Meaning: When the afflictions and drought reappeared, they said, “This came to us due to the presence of Moosaa and those who follow him”.

Then Allaah  [The Most High] says: [أَلَآ إِنَّمَا طَـٰٓٮِٕرُهُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَڪۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ – Be informed! Verily, their evil omens are with Allah but most of them know not]; Meaning: The afflictions reappeared by the divine will and decree of Allaah and not what you think; rather your sins and disbelief is the reason that brought about these afflictions.

Received Sincere And Excellent Advice From The Just Ones Amongst Their People, But They Could Not See Beyond the End of Their Noses: [Lessons to Learn From The Behaviour of Ancient Criminals]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] says in Surah Ghaafir [Aayaat 41-44] that a believer from the house of Fir’awn said: [وَيَـٰقَوۡمِ مَا لِىٓ أَدۡعُوڪُمۡ إِلَى ٱلنَّجَوٰةِ – O my people! How is that I call you to salvation]; Meaning: Based on what I say to you; [وَتَدۡعُونَنِىٓ إِلَى ٱلنَّار – while you call me to the fire]; Meaning: That I abandon following the Prophet of Allaah Moosaa [alayhis-salaam].

[تَدۡعُونَنِى لِأَڪۡفُرَ بِٱللَّهِ وَأُشۡرِكَ بِهِۦ مَا لَيۡسَ لِى بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌ۬  -You invite me to disbelieve in Allaah (and in His Oneness), and to join partners in worship with Him; of which I have no knowledge]; [وَأَنَا۟ أَدۡعُوڪُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡغَفَّـٰرِ – And I invite you to the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving!]; Meaning: The one Who owns all power, but others besides Him do not have control over anything (except by His Will). The one Who when His slaves transgress against themselves and act in a manner that incurs His wrath, but then if they repent and turn to Him in repentance, submission and obedience, He expiates their evil deeds and sins, and prevents what such (sins and acts of disobedience) necessitate of punishment in this life and the next.

[لَا جَرَمَ- No doubt]; Meaning: In truth and with certainty [أَنَّمَا تَدۡعُونَنِىٓ إِلَيۡهِ لَيۡسَ لَهُ ۥ دَعۡوَةٌ۬ فِى ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَلَا فِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ  -You call me to (worship) one who cannot grant (me) my request (or respond to my invocation) in this world or in the Hereafter]; Meaning: It is neither worthy of being invoked nor (worthy) that protection is sought from it–neither in the world nor in the Hereafter- due to its weakness and deficiency. Indeed, it neither owns the power of benefit nor harm, and it neither owns the power to cause death nor give life, nor (the power) to resurrect. [وَأَنَّ مَرَدَّنَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ  – And our return will be to Allaah]; Meaning: After death, He will reward every doer of deeds for his deeds. [وَأَنَّ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ هُمۡ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ  – And the (polytheists and arrogant one, those who commit great sins, the transgressors of Allaah’s set limits)! They shall be dwellers of the Fire!

After advising them, they neither obeyed him nor agreed with him; so Allaah [The Most High] says that he said to them: [فَسَتَذۡكُرُونَ مَآ أَقُولُ لَڪُمۡۚ- And you will remember what I am telling you]; Meaning: You will remember this advice and you shall see the consequences for not accepting it, when the punishment befalls you and you are deprived of much reward. [وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمۡرِىٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۚ- And my affair I leave it to Allah]; Meaning: I turn to Allaah; I seek shelter from Allaah and I place all my affairs in Allaah’s Hands.  I rely on Allaah for my well-being and in repelling the harm I receive from you.

[إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَصِيرُۢ بِٱلۡعِبَادِ  -Verily, Allah is the All-Seer of (His) slaves]; Meaning: Allaah knows their state of affairs and what they deserve.  Allaah knows my state of affairs and weakness, so Allaah will protect me against you and Allaah suffices me against your evil.  Allaah knows your state of affairs and you cannot act except by Allaah’s Pre-decree and Will. If you overpower me, it will be due to Allaah’s Pre-decree and Will.

Obstinate Transgressors, Opinionated Tyrants, Bold Liars and Perpetrators of Evil Who Portrayed Themselves As Victims: [Lessons to Learn From The Behaviour of Ancient Criminals Prior to Their Wretched End]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] informs us in Surah Al-A’raaf Aayaat 123-126 that Fir’awn threatened the sorcerers after they abandoned their misguidance and accepted Moosaa’s [alayhis-salaam] message; Allaah [The Most High] says that Fir’awn said to them: [ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُم – You have believed in him [Musa (Moses)] before I give you permission]; Fir’awn- the cruel and opinionated judge- considered himself as the only one deserving of passing judgements on the statements of the people and in the assemblies. It was established by him and accepted by his people that he was the one to be followed and no one was allowed to oppose his judgements and statements. Therefore, contradicting his judgements and statements is tantamount to bad behaviour and disrespect.

Then Allaah [The Most High] says that Firawn said to His people: [إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَمَكۡرٌ۬ مَّكَرۡتُمُوهُ فِى ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ لِتُخۡرِجُواْ مِنۡہَآ أَهۡلَهَا‌ۖ فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ – Surely, this is a plot which you have plotted in the city to drive out its people, but you shall come to know]; meaning: Fir’awn claimed that Moosaa [alayhis-salaam] is the elder (or leader) of the sorcerers who taught them sorcery and the sorcerers secretly allowed him to be victorious, so that the majority of people will follow them. This is an outright lie and Fir’awn was absolutely certain of it! Indeed, Moosaa [alayhis-salaam] never sought the support of the sorcerers; rather it was Fir’awn who sent his followers to the various cities of Egypt to gather the sorcerers to champion his cause. As for Moosaa [alayhis-salaam] he came with clear signs from Allaah [The Most High], whereas the sorcerers brought sorcery in order to defeat him; but their plot failed and the truth Moosaa [alayhis-salaam] brought became manifest to them, so they followed him.

Then Allaah [The Most High] says that Firawn said to those who repented from sorcery and believed in Moosaa: [لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُم مِّنۡ خِلَـٰفٍ۬ ثُمَّ لَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ -Surely, I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, then I will crucify you all]; Fir’awn- the cruel one- claimed that those who abandoned his way and followed the path of Moosaa [alayhis-salaam] were guilty of causing corruption in the earth and that he will deal with them in that manner in which such people deserve to be dealt with.

Then Allaah [The Most High] says that those who repented from sorcery and followed Moosaa [alayhis-salaam] replied to Fir’awn, saying: [إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ – Verily, we are returning to our Lord!] [وَمَا تَنقِمُ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنۡ ءَامَنَّا بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّنَا لَمَّا جَآءَتۡنَا‌ۚ رَبَّنَآ أَفۡرِغۡ عَلَيۡنَا صَبۡرً۬ا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسۡلِمِي ]- And you take vengeance on us only because we believed in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.) of our Lord when they reached us! Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us to die as Muslims].

One of The Crafty Ways In Which The Early People of The Scripture Devoured The Wealth of Others

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

‘’Among the people of the Scripture is he who, if entrusted with a Cantar [a great amount of wealth, etc.], will readily pay it back; and among them there is he who, if entrusted with a single silver coin, will not repay it unless you constantly stand demanding, because they say: ‘’There is no blame on us to betray and take the properties of the illiterates (Arabs).” But they tell a lie against Allah while they know it.’’ [3:75]

They made corrupt claims and held repulsive views, and thus considered themselves to be  possessors of great status and [held] that the illiterate Arabs were extremely degraded; therefore, the rights of the illiterate Arabs could be violated. So, through these corrupt claims and repulsive views they ate haraam and considered it lawful by way of creed.

Likewise, they lied against Allaah because the scholar who declares things lawful or unlawful is considered- by the people- as one transmitting Allaah’s Judgement and not from himself; and that [ruling of theirs about the wealth of the illiterate Arabs] is a lie. Allaah said: [وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُون – But they tell a lie against Allah while they know it]. This is one of the greatest sins-speaking about Allaah without knowledge.

Info Wars-[The Muslim Has a Sound Principle to Follow In Verifying News, Whether Liars Spread Their Falsehood Quickly or Delay]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

When there comes to them some matter touching (public) safety or fear, they make it known (among the people), if only they had referred it to the Messenger or to those charged with authority among them, the proper investigators would have understood it from them (directly). Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allaah upon you, you would have followed Shaitaan (Satan), save a few of you.'[4:83]

Imaam Ibn Katheer (rahimahullaah) said: ”In this ayah (there) is a rebuke against the one who rushes towards affairs and then gives news about it before verifying it – circulates and spreads it -and perhaps there is no credibility in it.”

Therefore, this ayah obligates verification and clarification when (news) is heard, as Ibn katheer (rahimahullaah) mentioned. It rebukes the one who hastens in transmitting and spreading (news) before verifying its credibility.

This ayah (also) guides to another affair and that is (important news touching public safety and fear) is to be relayed to those in authority from amongst the Scholars and the Rulers and not to the common people, for there is no benefit in transmitting it to the common people; rather what is of benefit is that it is transmitted to the people in authority because they are those with a sound understanding of the affairs and the benefits that are extracted from them. They are the ones with the ability to avert the harmful affairs.

Ibn Katheer then mentioned a number of narrations about being careful about hastiness and lack of verifying news- and from them is a narration by Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu-anhu) that the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said: ‘’It is enough for a man to prove himself a liar when he goes on narrating whatever he hears’’.

And Mugheerah bin Shubah (radiyallaahu-anhu) said, ‘’The Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) forbade Qeel Wal Qaal (i.e. so and so said)’’.  Ibn Katheer (rahimahullaah) said, ‘’It is the one who narrates a great deal of that which the people say without verification, contemplation and clarification’’.

Then Ibn Katheer (rahimahullaah) stated: The hadith of Umar (radiyallaahu-anhu) collected by Bukhaari and Muslim should be mentioned here; when Umar was told that the Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) divorced his wives, he left his house and entered the mosque, where he found the people talking about it; so he could not endure waiting and ask for the permission of the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) to speak to him; then Umar asked the Prophet, saying, ‘‘Have you divorced your women?’’ The Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said, ‘No’.  So Umar said, I said ‘Allaahu Akbar……’

And in the narration collected by Imaam Muslim, Umar said, I asked, ‘Have you divorced them?’ The Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said, ‘No’.  So I stood by the door of the mosque and shouted with a loud voice, saying, ‘The Messenger of Allaah did not divorce his wives’.  Then the ayah (i.e. Ayah 83, Surah Nisaa) was revealed.  Umar said, ‘I investigated this affair properly’ (i.e. whether the Prophet did divorce his wives).

Imaam As-Sadi [rahimahullaah] said about this Aayah [i.e. An-Nisaa 83]: This is a moral conduct [commanded by Allaah] to His slaves – that they do not do this [i.e. hasten to spread news]. And it is obligated on them that when there comes to them an affair from the important affairs – matters related to a universal benefit for the people, public safety and those affairs on which depends the sorrow or happiness of the believers, or an affair of public fear which may bring about calamity upon them- that they should verify the [news of that affair] and not to be hasty in spreading it; rather they should refer it back to the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and to those in authority- the people of sound opinions, the people of knowledge; those who can give sound advice, the people of intelligence and those who approach affairs with calmness, and they are those who know what is of overriding benefit and that which is in opposition to it [i.e. the scholars].  So, if they see that disseminating such news will bring about an overriding benefit for the Muslims, strengthen them, bring about happiness and make them vigilant over their enemies, then they would disseminate such news; but if they see that there is no overriding benefit in disseminating such news, or that there is benefit in it, but there is more harm in doing so; then they would not circulate such news.  That is why Allaah stated:

وَلَوْ رَدُّوهُ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ وَإِلَىٰ أُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْهُمْ لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَنبِطُونَهُ مِنْهُمْ

‘’If only they had referred it to the Messenger or to those charged with authority among them, the proper investigators would have understood it from them (directly)’’- Meaning: They would have derived from it [the proper cause of action] through contemplation and through their correct opinions and rightly guided sciences.

Therefore, in this there is proof regarding a principle related to a moral conduct, that when an [important affair] from the [important affairs] suddenly appears, it is obligatory to refer it to those who are competent in the affair and one should not put himself forward before them, for that is closer to correctness and [safer] in preventing mistakes. And in this, there is a prohibition against being hasty in circulating news [that is related important affairs of public safety or fear] and a command to contemplate before speaking- to look into the affair, as to whether it is an affair of overriding benefit to be dealt with, or whether it should be avoided if it does not carry an [overriding benefit].

[وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡڪُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهُ – Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah upon you]- Meaning: by way granting you the ability to act upon righteousness, instructed you with moral conducts and taught you that which you never knew, then [لَٱتَّبَعۡتُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنَ إِلَّا قَلِيلاً۬  – you would have followed Shaitan (Satan), save a few of you]. [Ref 1]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

يٰأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ آمَنُوۤاْ إِن جَآءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوۤاْ أَن تُصِيبُواْ قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ

O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done. [Surah Al-Hujuraat. Aayah 6]

Imaam As-Sadi [rahimahullaah] said: This is also one of the moral etiquettes that are obligated on the people of [sound] understanding to adorn themselves with and put into practice. And that is if a rebellious sinful person informs them of some news, they should verify his news and not to merely accept it, because indeed there is great danger [in doing so] and [possibility] of falling into sin. That is because if his news is placed at the same level with the news given by truthful reliable person, one might pass a judgement based on that news and what it necessitates, so loss of life and wealth occurs without right due to that news and thus brings about regret; rather, what is obligated with regards to the news given by a rebellious sinful person is that it is verified and clarified. So, if the proofs and clear indications demonstrates his truthfulness, then it [i.e. the news] is acted upon and declared to be true; but if they demonstrate that he is lying, then it is declared to be lies and not acted upon. Therefore, in this [Aayah]  there is a proof that news [given] by a truthful person is accepted, the news [given] by a liar is rejected and the news [given] by a rebellious sinful person is suspended as we have stated. A Brief Acquaintance With Some of The Early Heretics Who Sought to Corrupt The Deen And Failed – [Abdullah Bin Sabah, Al-Faraabee, Ibn Sinaa, Naseer At’Toosee and Others]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Shaikh Shamsuddeen Al-Afghaaniy [rahimahumallaah] said:

Allaah [The Most High] guided mankind through Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and the clear manifest evidences given to him [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] – a guidance that could not be described by those who were well versed in the art of descriptions and [a guidance] that surpassed the knowledge of those with great perception. And by way of this guidance, Allaah [The Most High] opened the eyes of the blind ones, the ears of the deaf ones and the hearts of the heedless ones. Allaah [The Most High] united them on one religion-[the religion of Islamic monotheism] – and prior to that they were in complete disunity, enmity towards one another and followed corrupt creeds. Allaah united their hearts, and thus they became true brothers in Islaam by way of this great blessing. Thereafter, everything worshipped besides Allaah, such as graves, trees, stones and idols ceased to exist and all worship was established for Allaah alone. [Many] people followed the true Religion of Islamic monotheism and worshipped Allaah alone, except those whom Allaah willed that they were to remain as people of polytheism, hypocrisy and followers of the altered and distorted previous scriptures. The darkness of polytheism was dispelled and the banner of Tawheed was raised in the lands-amongst the Arabs and non-Arabs.

Allaah’s Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallaam] passed away, whilst Islaam was established and in authority-superseding all other ways of life and creeds. Then the rightly guided khulafaa of the Messenger [Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan and Ali (radiyallaahu-anhum)] continued to adhere to the path of the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] until the two powerful and great nations at the time-Rome and Persia-ended up in humiliation, degradation and in a state of fear after they had been in a state of security, and thus Caesar was restricted and besieged, and khosrau [or Chosroes] was subdued and destroyed.

Beginning of the Plot against Islaam

When the enemies of Islaam saw that they were unable to do away with this religion, they implanted their disbelieving agents within it – those who pretended to be Muslims in order to kindle confusion, trials and tribulations, and spread polytheism by exaggerating the status of the pious people and exalting their graves through [beliefs and practices] that were not ordained by Allaah. So, the Ummah [Islamic Nation] was put to trial through the plots of the [atheist, heretic and hypocrite] Abdullaah Bin Saba, who claimed Uloohiyyah for Ali Ibn Abee Taalib [i.e. that Ali (the cousin of the Prophet) had the right to be worshipped besides Allaah]. Abdullaah Bin As- Sabah’s followers were known as the Saba’iyyah and later on they were known as the Rawaafid (shiites), the ismaaliyyah (shittes), the nusayriyah (shiites) and other than them amongst the Baatiniyyah. They worshipped the graves and its inhabitants, and built places of worship and shrines upon those graves. So, through these practices, they revived the (corrupt ancient practices) of those Jews, Christians and the idol worshippers (who deviated from the straight path of the Prophets and Messengers of Allaah). This is how the practices of the worshippers of graves in this Muslim Nation manifested itself through the practices initiated by the rawaafid (shiites). [NB: The majority of the rawaafid Shiites presently live in Iran & Iraq, and their leader is Khumeini]

Secondly: The books of Greek philosophy that propagated the ideas of grave and idol worship were translated into Arabic, so many of those who attributed themselves to Islam busied themselves with these books, such as the likes of Al-Faraabee (a) Ibn Sinaa Al-Hanafi (b) Naseer At’Toosee –an advocate of disbelief and polytheism (c) and other than them amongst those who played tricks with Islaam, just as Paul played tricks with Christianity. They were influenced by the ideas of the Greek Philosophers, so they became callers to grave worship through Greek Philosophy. The practices of these people was rife within the ranks of the people of rhetoric amongst the Hanafi Maatooreediyyah (d) and the Ash-ariyyah Kullaabiyyah due to busying themselves with the Books of the Philosophers. They became callers to grave worship and callers to the creed of the Jahmiyyah at the same time, such as the likes of Taftaazaanee Al-Hanafi [The Philosopher of the Maatooreediyyah and Grave worshipers] and Jurjaanee Al-Hanafi [a caller to superstition]

[a] Al-Faraabee: Al-Faraabee said that Philosophy is more perfect than Prophet hood. Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said about him: ‘’Misguided; a disbeliever’’ Ibn Sinaa adopted his books and ideas of disbelief. [For further details concerning Al- Faraabee, See Majmoo Al-Fataawaa 2/67—86] [Dar At-Ta’aarud 1/10] [Ighaathatul Luhfaan 2/372-373]

[b] Ibn Sinaa: Imaam Ibnu Salaah (rahimahullaah) said about him: ‘’He was a devil amongst the human devils.’’ [See Fataawaa Ibn Salaah 1/209] [Also see: ‘Ar-Radd Alal Mantaqiyyeen’ of Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah 278-279] [‘Ighaathatul Luhfaan’ of Imaam Ibnul Qayyim 2/373-380] [Bidaayah Wan-Nihaayah’ of Imaam Ibn Katheer 12/43]

[c] Naasir At-Toosee: He was a magician and a minister of the Tartars. He rejected the ‘resurrection’. For further details, see: As-Sawaa-iq Al-Mursalah of Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) 2/790; 3/1077-1078

[d] Followers of the Jahmi Abu Mansoor Al- Maatooreedi Al-Hanafi [For further details, see the Book of Shaikh Shamsud-deen al-Afghaanee titled: ‘Al-Maatooreediyyah’ 1/205—376]

Thirdly: A people who were more dangerous and misguided than the aforementioned groups emerged amongst the Muslims with a manifestation of asceticism. They appeared in the garb of  righteousness – with tearful eyes, long flowing beards, elevated turbans, carrying large rosary beads and pretended to be calling to the Sunnah of the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam], whilst they secretly practised the disgraceful acts inherited from false religions. They attempted to mix blatant lies with the Qur’aan and the authentic narrations in order to corrupt the clear evidences found in the Qur’aan and the Sunnah. These deviant heretics are known as the Hulooliyyah, Ittihaadiyyah Grave Worshipers (1)], such as the likes of Hallaaj (309AH), Ibnul Faarid (632AH) Ibn Arabi (638AH), Ibn Sab’een (669AH) etc [Source: Juhoodu Ulamaa Al-Hanafiyyah Fee Ibtaal Aqaa-id Al-Qubooriyyeen’ of Shaikh Shamshud-deen As-Salafi Al-Afghaanee’ Vol 1 page 19-25]

Ibn Sinaa [The Heretic]

Question to Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan: What is your view regarding the one who praises Ibn Sinaa and places him within the ranks of the Muslim scholars?

Answer: Either this person is ignorant and is unaware of Ibn Sinaa’s state of affairs, therefore it is not appropriate that he should speak, rather it is obligated on him to keep quiet; or he is aware of Ibn Sinaa’s state of affairs and disbelief, so he affirms that for Ibn Sinaa and thus the ruling that applies to Ibn Sinaa is applicable to him, and Allaah’s refuge is sough; because he affirms Ibn Sinaa’s disbelief and praises him. This is very dangerous. [Ref 1] But some people praise Ibn Sinaa only due to the fact that he was a physician – praised due to a worldly science. And amongst the disbelievers, there are those who are more proficient than him in this field. But why do they mention Ibn Sinaa in particular? They say that because he attributes himself to Islaam and this is a credit to the Islaam. Therefore, we say: Islaam is free from Ibn Sinaa and not in need of him.
