A Call to The People of The Scriptures – Jews and Christians.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

Say (O Muhammad): “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: “Bear witness that we are Muslims.” [Surah Aal Imraan. Aayah 64]

Meaning: say to the people of the scripture – the Jews and Christians, [تَعَالَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ڪَلِمَةٍ۬ سَوَآءِۭ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ – Come to a word that is just between us and you]- Meaning: Come let us unite upon the statement which all the Prophets and Messengers agreed upon and none opposes it, except the obstinate and misguided. This statement is not specific to anyone of us, rather it is something that you and us should establish between us, so this is justice and fairness in debate. Then Allaah explains this and said: [أَلَّا نَعۡبُدَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ وَلَا نُشۡرِكَ بِهِۦ شَيۡـًٔ۬ا  –  that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him]- Meaning: We should single out Allaah in worship, devoting all love, fear and hope to Him alone, and we should not associate anyone as partner with Allaah in worship- neither a Prophet, an Angel, a Righteous Person, an Idol, a Deified image, a living or non-living thing, [وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعۡضُنَا بَعۡضًا أَرۡبَابً۬ا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ  – and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allaah]; rather all obedience is to be devoted to Allah and His Messengers. [فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَقُولُواْ ٱشۡهَدُواْ بِأَنَّا مُسۡلِمُونَ – Then, if they turn away, say: “Bear witness that we are Muslims]. [An Excerpt from Tafseer As-Sadi. slightly paraphrased]

Scorpions Burying Their Heads And Bodies In The Sand And Leaving Their Tails Out!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Al-Barbahaari [rahimahullaah] said, “The likeness of the people of innovation is that of scorpions burying their heads and bodies in the sand and leaving their tails out; so when they are able they sting.  Likewise, the people of innovation hide themselves within the people and when they are able, they convey what they desire”. [Tabaqaat al-Hanaabilah: 2/44]

What Should We Do When The Evil Desires of Ahlul Bidah Increase?

Shaikh Rabee [may Allaah preserve him] said, “It is obligated on the people of truth to exercise patience and increase in adhering to this religion of truth. Whenever the desires become abundant, it becomes necessary to increase in acquainting (oneself) with the truth and adhering to it, as the Messenger (alayhis salaatu was-salaam) said: ‘The one who lives long amongst you will see a lot of differences, so upon you is that you follow my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided khulafaa. Bite onto it with your molar teeth (i.e. hold onto it firmly) and beware of newly invented matters (in the religion), for every newly invented matter (in the religion) is a bidah and every bidah is misguidance.’” [Majmoo 14/294 (3rd paragraph)]

A Fundamental Principle Related to Permissible And Impermissible Acts of Worship

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] said:

Indeed, there has been much confusion in this subject matter, just as it is the case in the subject matter of halaal and haraam.  Indeed, a group of people make permissible some of the things which Allaah has declared impermissible and others declare impermissible some of those things which Allaah has made permissible. Likewise, some people innovate acts of worship that have not been legislated by Allaah; rather Allaah [The Most High] prohibited them. The foundation of the religion of Islaam is that the permissible affairs are those that Allaah and His Messenger have made permissible, and the impermissible affairs are those that Allaah and His Messenger have made impermissible. It is not allowed for anyone to leave the straight path which Allaah sent His Messenger with.  Allaah [The Most High] said:

[وَأَنَّ هَـٰذَا صِرَٲطِى مُسۡتَقِيمً۬ا فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ‌ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ ٱلسُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمۡ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكُمۡ وَصَّٮٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّڪُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ – And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not [other] paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become pious]. [6:153]

Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood [radiyallaahu-anhu] reported that the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] drew a line for us and said: “This is Allaah’s Straight Path.’’ Then he drew lines to its right and left and then said: ‘’These are other paths. Upon every one of them there is a devil calling towards it.’’ Then he recited: وَأَنَّ هَـٰذَا صِرَٲطِى مُسۡتَقِيمً۬ا فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ‌ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ ٱلسُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمۡ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ‌  – Indeed this is My Straight Path, so follow it. And do not follow other paths; they will separate you from His Path.” [Hadeeth reported by Imaam Ahmad  in Al-Musnad 4437]

Indeed, Allaah mentioned – in Soorah Al-An’aam, Soorah Al-A’raaf and other them – those deeds the idol worshipers were rebuked for, when they declared impermissible the things which Allaah [The Most High] did not declare impermissible, such as the Baahirah [i.e. a she-camel whose milk was spared for the idols and nobody was allowed to milk it] and the Saa’ibah [i.e. a she-camel let loose for free pasture for their false gods, e.g. idols, etc., and nothing was allowed to be carried on it]. They [also] declared permissible those [deeds] which Allaah declared impermissible, such as the killing of their children and they instituted a religion which Allaah did not allow. Allaah [The Most High] said:

[أَمۡ لَهُمۡ شُرَڪَـٰٓؤُاْ شَرَعُواْ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱلدِّينِ مَا لَمۡ يَأۡذَنۢ بِهِ ٱللَّهُ‌ۚ – Or have they partners with Allah (false gods), who have instituted for them a religion which Allah has not allowed.” [42:21]

And there were impermissible deeds which they established as acts of worship, such as shirk, and lewd behaviour, such as Tawaaf around the Kabah, whilst being naked.

The acts of worship through which a person seeks to get close to Allaah [The Most High] are those that are beloved and pleasing to Allaah and His Messenger- whether obligatory or recommended – as reported in Saheeh [Al-Bukhaari] that Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallaam] said that Allaah [The Blessed and Exalted] said: “And the most beloved things which My slave comes nearer to Me, is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawaafil (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him, then I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his sense of sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks Me, I will give him, and if he asks My Protection (Refuge), I will protect him”.[1]

And it is well known regarding the Salaah is that it can either be obligatory, such as the five daily prayers, or optional such as the Qiyaamul Layl [i.e. Tahajjud prayer]. Also regarding fasting, it can either be obligatory, such as fasting in the month of Ramadhaan, or it can be optional such as fasting three days every month. Also travelling to the Masjid Al-Haraam [i.e. The kabah] is obligatory and travelling to the other two Masajid-Masjid of the Prophet and Masjid Al-Aqsaa-is recommended. Also charity can be an obligation, or recommended such as the surplus beyond [what is] needed, as Allaah [The Most High] said:  [وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُونَ قُلِ الْعَفْوَ – And they ask you what they ought to spend. Say: That which is beyond (what they) need].

And it has been reported in an authentic Hadeeth that the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallaam] said:  “O son of Adam! It is better for you if you spend [your] surplus [wealth], but if you withhold it, it is evil for you. And there is no blame [on you] if you withhold the surplus in accordance with a need, in order to spend on yourself and poor relatives. The upper hand [i.e. the one who spends] is better than the lower hand [i.e. the one who asks without a need as opposed to the self-sufficient one]; and begin [charity] with your dependents”. [Ref 2]

[Ref 1]: Regarding the statement: And My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawaafil (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him, then I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his sense of sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which he walks…

This statement is understood to mean that when a person becomes a Wali (close friend) of Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic), then when the command of Allaah is mentioned with regards to what Allaah loves or hates, he protects his hearing from what Allaah hates and lends an ear to what Allaah loves. He also does the same with regards to what he looks at; what he grips with his hand and where he walks to. Or Allaah guides him, so that he only looks at what Allaah loves; listens to what Allaah loves and walks towards what Allaah loves. [Sharh Arba’een of Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen.. [5] Reminders About Dark Beliefs and Deeds of Those Who Scream and Wail; Slash, Whip and Hit Themselves On The Day of Aa’shooraa: [The Raafidah And Taqiyyah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful The Bestower of Mercy.

Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajr (rahimahullah) said: It (Taqiyya) is to be careful of making known to others what is in the heart with regards one’s creed or other than it. [End of quote: Fat-hul baaree 12/314]

According to the raafidi Kulayni, one of their leaders said, “Taqiyyah is from my religion and the religion of my forefathers, and there is no Eemaan for the one who does not have Taqiyyah”. [Al-Kaafi 2/219]

The raafidah consider this Taqiyya to be of lofty virtue and high station in their religion. Kulayni also said in Usool Al-kaafee (the main book containing their heretical and polytheistic beliefs) that nine- tenths of (their) religion is based on Taqiyya and one cannot be (ascribed to the raafidah religion) if he has no Taqiyya. [Usool Al-kaafee 2/217]

Beware of the deceitful political partisans

Some of the deceitful political partisans-those who have been blinded by corrupt political ambitions and love of leadership-seek to confuse the general masses or the least they try to dilute and destroy the correct stances obligated on a Muslim to employ against the heretical raafidah. So some of these deceitful political partisans say that Taqiyya is not something specific to the raafidah, rather it is something established in the religion of Islaam. However, these satanic forces of deceit amongst the deceitful political partisans do not give the full details regarding the differences between the satanic Taqiyya employed by the heretical raafidah and the Taqiyyah permitted in the pure Islamic legislation. They do not make known the fact that the legislated permissible Taqiyya is a concession and not a conviction in one’s faith, as Mu-aadh Ibn Jabal (radiyallaahu anhu) said: “Taqiyya was (employed by the believers at the time when) Islaam was new and before the Muslims gained authority; but as for today, Allaah has strengthened Islaam and the (believers) do not fear their enemies.” [For further details see Tafseer Al-Qurtubi 4/57]

Therefore, this Taqiyya (i.e. being careful of stating one’s true belief and fear of manifesting it to an aggressive opponent due to fear of being murdered or afflicted with great harm) is employed whilst dealing with the oppressive tyrannical disbelievers and not with the believers. Imaam Tabari (rahimahullah) said: “The Taqiyya mentioned in this Ayah [i.e. soorah Aali Imraan: Ayah: 28] is a Taqiyya (employed with) those disbelievers (who are tyrants) and not other than them. [Tafseer At-Tabari 3/153].

Taqiyyah is not permissible except out of fear of being killed, lacerated or (afflicted) with great harm. So whoever is forced to utter disbelief, then what is correct is that he remains firm and does not respond by uttering a statement of disbelief; but it is permissible to do so (as a concession whilst his heart is firm upon Imaan and not in agreement with what he has uttered due to being forced). [For further details see Tafseer Al-Qurtubi 4/57]

As for the Taqiyya employed by the raafidah heretics, then all of it is the opposite of what the pure Islamic legislation permitted; rather they hide their disbelief from the common Muslims-especially in those Muslim lands in which the Muslims are well aware of their polytheistic practices and wicked beliefs-whilst showing that they are in agreement. That is because if they manifest the filthy, wicked and vile beliefs they hold about the Sahaabah etc, every sane Muslim will boycott them. However, some of the deceitful political partisans come along and utter half-truths in order to deceive the Muslims and achieve their corrupt political ambitions.

Cling to The [Authentic] Sunnah] With Patience And Aid Those Who Call to It: [Advice By Imaam Al-Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah)]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Barbahaaree [rahimahullaah] said: “Whoever realizes what the innovators have abandoned of the Sunnah and left behind and he clings to it, he is a person of the Sunnah and the Jamaa’ah. He should be followed, helped and protected.  He is one of those whom the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] bequeathed that he should be looked after”.

Shaikh Saaleh al Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] commented saying: That is [in the saying of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)]: “They are those upon that which I and my Companions are upon today”.   He [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] advised that one should be with them – this Jamaa’ah, these people, this group upon that which the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and his Companions were upon. However, this requires two affairs:

The First Affair is: Knowledge; that we learn what the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and his Companions were upon. As for the ignorant one, he does not learn, whilst thinking that what the one in opposition is upon is what the Messenger was upon, when that is not the case.

The Second Affair is: To be firm upon that which the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and his Companions were upon; because the one who follows the [authentic] sunnah will receive grief, trouble and intimidation from the people; but he must exercise patience and not turn away from the truth. He does not bargain [the truth] nor leaves anything of it; and for that reason it has been reported about the one who holds upon his Religion at the end of time, that he is like one holding onto a burning coal or prickles, due to what he will receive of hardship, grief and trouble from the people. So he requires patience.[Ref 1]

Imaam Barbahaaree [rahimahullaah] stated: “May Allaah have mercy upon you! Know that if the people were to desist from newly introduced matters, not entering into any of them at all and did not say anything for which there was no narration from the Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) or from his Companions, there would not be any innovation”.

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] commented: And “if the people were to desist from newly invented matters [in the religion]”- Meaning: if they desisted and did not enter into them, and restricted themselves to the [authentic] Sunnah and did not leave it for innovations; certainly they would have received safety.  But whoever relinquishes the [authentic] Sunnah and innovate statements which have no proof in the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam], he will eventually be with the innovators and the deviated sects.  And there is no safety except by way of the [authentic] Sunnah which the Messenger of Allaah [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] left for us. He [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said: “Indeed, I have left amongst you two things, if you hold firmly to them, you will never go astray; the book of Allaah and my Sunnah”.

And in another hadeeth: “I have left you upon white plain (i.e. clear guidance), its night is like its day, and none deviates from it except he who is destroyed”.

This is the path to safety: the [authentic] Sunnah of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and that which his companions were upon…. [Ref 2]

A Brief Acquaintance With Some of The Early Heretics Who Sought to Corrupt The Deen And Failed – [Abdullah Bin Sabah, Al-Faraabee, Ibn Sinaa, Naseer At’Toosee and Others]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Shaikh Shamsuddeen Al-Afghaaniy [rahimahumallaah] said:

Allaah [The Most High] guided mankind through Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and the clear manifest evidences given to him [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] – a guidance that could not be described by those who were well versed in the art of descriptions and [a guidance] that surpassed the knowledge of those with great perception. And by way of this guidance, Allaah [The Most High] opened the eyes of the blind ones, the ears of the deaf ones and the hearts of the heedless ones. Allaah [The Most High] united them on one religion-[the religion of Islamic monotheism] – and prior to that they were in complete disunity, enmity towards one another and followed corrupt creeds. Allaah united their hearts, and thus they became true brothers in Islaam by way of this great blessing. Thereafter, everything worshipped besides Allaah, such as graves, trees, stones and idols ceased to exist and all worship was established for Allaah alone. [Many] people followed the true Religion of Islamic monotheism and worshipped Allaah alone, except those whom Allaah willed that they were to remain as people of polytheism, hypocrisy and followers of the altered and distorted previous scriptures. The darkness of polytheism was dispelled and the banner of Tawheed was raised in the lands-amongst the Arabs and non-Arabs.

Allaah’s Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallaam] passed away, whilst Islaam was established and in authority-superseding all other ways of life and creeds. Then the rightly guided khulafaa of the Messenger [Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan and Ali (radiyallaahu-anhum)] continued to adhere to the path of the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] until the two powerful and great nations at the time-Rome and Persia-ended up in humiliation, degradation and in a state of fear after they had been in a state of security, and thus Caesar was restricted and besieged, and khosrau [or Chosroes] was subdued and destroyed.

Beginning of the Plot against Islaam

When the enemies of Islaam saw that they were unable to do away with this religion, they implanted their disbelieving agents within it – those who pretended to be Muslims in order to kindle confusion, trials and tribulations, and spread polytheism by exaggerating the status of the pious people and exalting their graves through [beliefs and practices] that were not ordained by Allaah. So, the Ummah [Islamic Nation] was put to trial through the plots of the [atheist, heretic and hypocrite] Abdullaah Bin Saba, who claimed Uloohiyyah for Ali Ibn Abee Taalib [i.e. that Ali (the cousin of the Prophet) had the right to be worshipped besides Allaah]. Abdullaah Bin As- Sabah’s followers were known as the Saba’iyyah and later on they were known as the Rawaafid (shiites), the ismaaliyyah (shittes), the nusayriyah (shiites) and other than them amongst the Baatiniyyah. They worshipped the graves and its inhabitants, and built places of worship and shrines upon those graves. So, through these practices, they revived the (corrupt ancient practices) of those Jews, Christians and the idol worshippers (who deviated from the straight path of the Prophets and Messengers of Allaah). This is how the practices of the worshippers of graves in this Muslim Nation manifested itself through the practices initiated by the rawaafid (shiites). [NB: The majority of the rawaafid Shiites presently live in Iran & Iraq, and their leader is Khumeini]

Secondly: The books of Greek philosophy that propagated the ideas of grave and idol worship were translated into Arabic, so many of those who attributed themselves to Islam busied themselves with these books, such as the likes of Al-Faraabee (a) Ibn Sinaa Al-Hanafi (b) Naseer At’Toosee –an advocate of disbelief and polytheism (c) and other than them amongst those who played tricks with Islaam, just as Paul played tricks with Christianity. They were influenced by the ideas of the Greek Philosophers, so they became callers to grave worship through Greek Philosophy. The practices of these people was rife within the ranks of the people of rhetoric amongst the Hanafi Maatooreediyyah (d) and the Ash-ariyyah Kullaabiyyah due to busying themselves with the Books of the Philosophers. They became callers to grave worship and callers to the creed of the Jahmiyyah at the same time, such as the likes of Taftaazaanee Al-Hanafi [The Philosopher of the Maatooreediyyah and Grave worshipers] and Jurjaanee Al-Hanafi [a caller to superstition]

[a] Al-Faraabee: Al-Faraabee said that Philosophy is more perfect than Prophet hood. Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said about him: ‘’Misguided; a disbeliever’’ Ibn Sinaa adopted his books and ideas of disbelief. [For further details concerning Al- Faraabee, See Majmoo Al-Fataawaa 2/67—86] [Dar At-Ta’aarud 1/10] [Ighaathatul Luhfaan 2/372-373]

[b] Ibn Sinaa: Imaam Ibnu Salaah (rahimahullaah) said about him: ‘’He was a devil amongst the human devils.’’ [See Fataawaa Ibn Salaah 1/209] [Also see: ‘Ar-Radd Alal Mantaqiyyeen’ of Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah 278-279] [‘Ighaathatul Luhfaan’ of Imaam Ibnul Qayyim 2/373-380] [Bidaayah Wan-Nihaayah’ of Imaam Ibn Katheer 12/43]

[c] Naasir At-Toosee: He was a magician and a minister of the Tartars. He rejected the ‘resurrection’. For further details, see: As-Sawaa-iq Al-Mursalah of Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) 2/790; 3/1077-1078

[d] Followers of the Jahmi Abu Mansoor Al- Maatooreedi Al-Hanafi [For further details, see the Book of Shaikh Shamsud-deen al-Afghaanee titled: ‘Al-Maatooreediyyah’ 1/205—376]

Thirdly: A people who were more dangerous and misguided than the aforementioned groups emerged amongst the Muslims with a manifestation of asceticism. They appeared in the garb of  righteousness – with tearful eyes, long flowing beards, elevated turbans, carrying large rosary beads and pretended to be calling to the Sunnah of the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam], whilst they secretly practised the disgraceful acts inherited from false religions. They attempted to mix blatant lies with the Qur’aan and the authentic narrations in order to corrupt the clear evidences found in the Qur’aan and the Sunnah. These deviant heretics are known as the Hulooliyyah, Ittihaadiyyah Grave Worshipers (1)], such as the likes of Hallaaj (309AH), Ibnul Faarid (632AH) Ibn Arabi (638AH), Ibn Sab’een (669AH) etc [Source: Juhoodu Ulamaa Al-Hanafiyyah Fee Ibtaal Aqaa-id Al-Qubooriyyeen’ of Shaikh Shamshud-deen As-Salafi Al-Afghaanee’ Vol 1 page 19-25]

Ibn Sinaa [The Heretic]

Question to Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan: What is your view regarding the one who praises Ibn Sinaa and places him within the ranks of the Muslim scholars?

Answer: Either this person is ignorant and is unaware of Ibn Sinaa’s state of affairs, therefore it is not appropriate that he should speak, rather it is obligated on him to keep quiet; or he is aware of Ibn Sinaa’s state of affairs and disbelief, so he affirms that for Ibn Sinaa and thus the ruling that applies to Ibn Sinaa is applicable to him, and Allaah’s refuge is sough; because he affirms Ibn Sinaa’s disbelief and praises him. This is very dangerous. [Ref 1] But some people praise Ibn Sinaa only due to the fact that he was a physician – praised due to a worldly science. And amongst the disbelievers, there are those who are more proficient than him in this field. But why do they mention Ibn Sinaa in particular? They say that because he attributes himself to Islaam and this is a credit to the Islaam. Therefore, we say: Islaam is free from Ibn Sinaa and not in need of him. He is not to be praised because he is a Baatini, a philosopher, Mulhid [Ref 2] [At-Taleeqaat Al-Mukhtasar Alaa Qaseedah An-Nooniyyah 3/1328]

[32] Excerpts from Shaikh Rabee’s Book Titled ‘Marhaban Yaa Taalibal Ilm’ – [Allaah’s Curse and Severe Wrath Is Upon Those Who Take Graves as Places of Worship]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Ibn Abbaas and Aa’isha [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said: When the last moment of the life of Allaah’s Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] came, he started putting his Khameesah [a woollen blanket] on his face and when he felt hot and short of breath he took it off his face and said, ‘’May Allaah curse the Yahood and Nasaaraa [i.e. those amongst them who changed the pure religion of the Prophets and Messengers of Bani Israa’eel – Moosaa, Eesaa etc], for they built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets.’’ [The Prophet was warning (Muslims) of what those people had done]. [Ref 1]

They [i.e. the Sahaabah] understood that the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi wasallam] was giving a warning; Aa’isha and Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said, ‘’He [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] was warning the (Muslims) of what these people had done.’’

Therefore, when it is the case that the Yahood and Nasaaraa [i.e. those amongst them who deviated from the pure religion of the Prophets and Messengers of Bani Israa’eel – Moosaa, Eesaa and others (alayhimus-salaam)] were cursed and they earned the severe wrath of Allaah, [as the Messenger said], ‘’The wrath of Allaah is severe against a people who take the graves of their Prophets as places of worship’’ [Ref2], even though they loved the Prophets and built places of worship on their graves, then what about those who defile the greatest religion [i.e. Islaam] with shirk- by doing that which those Yahood did. So, at present Allaah’s curse and severe wrath applies to them [i.e. the grave worshippers] when they take the graves of others as places of worship. When it is the case that Allaah rejected the act of those Yahood who sanctified the Prophets and built places of worship over their graves, then how can this [same] act be accepted from those who build places of worship over the graves of those who are lesser than the Prophets in status?!

O brothers! This is a deviation from the meaning of [لا إله إلا الله – There is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah]; therefore, we appeal to the students of knowledge and the callers to Islaam not to betray this Ummah, and not to conceal this clarification and guidance that was  revealed by Allaah to Muhammad [sallal laahu-alayhi wasallam] – the explanation of Tawheed, and the distinction between Tawheed and Shirk – because if we lose this knowledge, all the other sciences will have no value.

[4] Excerpts From Shaikh Rabee’s Book Titled ‘Marhaban Yaa Taalibal Ilm’ -[A Calamity Has Afflicted Those Who Do Not Reject Bidah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Rabee [may Allaah preserve him] said:

Nowadays many people do not consider bidah to be something harmful to the people upon bidah. By Allaah, it is a calamity upon those who have reached this state of affairs. His desires lead him to [such a state] he does not consider bidah as something harmful to those upon bidah, even though the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, “The worst of all affairs are the newly invented matters [in the religion] and every newly invented matter [im the religion] is a bidah, and every bidah is misguidance.” [Muslim 867]

And [The Messenger (sallal laahu alayhi wasallam)] said, “The Jews split into seventy one sects, the Christians split into seventy two sects, and this Ummah [i.e. Muslim Ummah] will split into seventy three sects, and all of them will be in the fire except one; so they [i.e. the sahaabah] said, ‘Who are they O Messenger of Allaah?’ He said, those upon what I and my companions are upon.” [Tirmidhee 2641 & declared Hasan by Sh Albaani in Saheeh Al-Jaami 5343]

They [i.e. the saved sect] are the people upon truth – Ahlus Sunnah, the people who adhere to the Qur’aan and Sunnah, the enemies of bidah, misguidance, disbelief, shirk and all types of misguidance. They love the truth, and they establish love and hatred based on that. [End of Quote]
