Unjustified Killing in the Earth is Fasaad [Mischief or Corruption] -a Deed of Gog and Magog

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah [The Most High] says that the people said to Dhul Qar’nayn:

قَالُواْ يَـٰذَا ٱلۡقَرۡنَيۡنِ إِنَّ يَأۡجُوجَ وَمَأۡجُوجَ مُفۡسِدُونَ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَهَلۡ نَجۡعَلُ لَكَ خَرۡجًا عَلَىٰٓ أَن تَجۡعَلَ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَهُمۡ سَدًّ۬ا

They said: “O Dhul-Qarnain! Verily! Ya’juj and Ma’juj (Gog and Magog) are doing great mischief in the land. Shall we then pay you a tribute in order that you might erect a barrier between us and them?”

What Was This Mischief of Theirs?

Murder and ceasing wealth; (1); pillage and transgression. (2)

Woe to a Person Who Preoccupies Him (or Herself) In Slander and Backbiting!

Allaah (The Most high) said:

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ

[وَيْلٌ –Woe]; meaning, loss and destruction. And it is said [that it means] a valley in Jahannam.

[لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ – to every slanderer and backbiter]; this is his preoccupation and practice (or habit), slander and backbiting -violating the honour of the people, speaking ill of them and defaming them.  Slandering by way of speech and backbiting by way of action through indication (or gesturing). [End of Quote (Ref 1)]

Qaadhi Iyaad (rahimahullaah) stated that the word [وَيْلٌ –Woe]  carries some of the following meanings: [a] It is used whilst referring to one who has fallen into destruction. [b] It is used whilst referring to one who deserves destruction. [c] It is used to refer to destruction itself. [d] It is used to refer to the difficulty found in punishment. [e] It is used to refer to grief. [f] It is used to refer to a valley in the hell fire. [Ref 2]

Severe Warning against Declaring Things Unlawful or Lawful Based on One’s Own Accord

Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ الْكَذِبَ هَٰذَا حَلَالٌ وَهَٰذَا حَرَامٌ لِّتَفْتَرُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ

And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: “This is lawful and this is forbidden,” so as to invent lies against Allah. Verily, those who invent lies against Allah will never prosper. [16:116]

Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah) said: Do not declare (this or that) to be unlawful and lawful on your own accord – lying and fabricating things against Allaah, and forging statements against Him (i.e. passing judgements or rulings that such and such is lawful or unlawful based on ignorance, guessing, assumptions, desires etc).

[إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ – Verily, those who invent lies against Allah will never prosper]; neither (will they proper)  in this worldly life nor in the afterlife.

A husband curses his wife!

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said: A husband cursing his wife is an evil thing. It is not permissible; rather it is from the major sins due to established (narration) from the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) that he said: ‘’Cursing a Muslim is like killing him (or her).’’
