In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy
Tawheed Ar-Roboobiyyah: [It is] firm belief and clear affirmation that Allaah (alone) is The Lord and Owner of everything. He (alone) is the Creator, Provider and He (alone) gives life and death. He (alone) is the One who judges and controls the affairs with what He wills, how He wills and whenever He wills. Whatever Allaah wills must happen and whatever He does not will cannot happen. He is the Lord of the entire universe and the king of the Day of Judgement. He created everything and measured it exactly according to its due measurements, and He gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright. This aspect of Tawheed was affirmed by the idol worshippers during the lifetime of the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and the Qur’an has informed (us) about their affirmation of it. [Allaah (The Most High)] said:
وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
”If you were to ask them: “Who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon?” They will surely reply: “Allah.” How then are they deviating (as polytheists and disbelievers)?
He (The Most High) said:
Say: “Whose is the earth and whosoever is therein? If you know!” They will say: “It is Allah’s!” Say: “Will you not then remember?” Say: “Who is (the) Lord of the seven heavens, and (the) Lord of the Great Throne?” They will say: “Allah.” Say: “Will you not then fear Allah (believe in His Oneness, obey Him, believe in the Resurrection and Recompense for each and every good or bad deed).” [23:84-87]
So even though they affirmed this aspect of Tawheed, it did not enter them into the fold of Islaam because they did not acknowledge that Allaah (alone) has the right to be worshipped; rather they associated others as partners to Him in worship. Indeed, Allaah is so self-sufficient that he is in no need of having any partner. [Allaah said in a Hadeeth Qudsi]: ”Whoever does an action whilst associating others as partners (to Me in that action), I am free from him and (the action he performed), and (I am free from being (a partner) to the one He (associated as a partner to Me in that action).”

What are the obligations a woman is to fulfil in order to become a female Muslim who adheres to her Religion?
It is obligatory upon a person– be it a man or woman– to enter into the fold of Islaam and testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah; (he/she should) establish the five daily prayers, pay the zakat, fast the month of Ramadaan and perform the hajj if the means to that is made possible. And (he/she) should believe and adhere to the pillars of Eemaan and they are: Belief in Allaah, belief in His Angels, belief in His Books, belief in His Messengers, belief in the last day and belief in the pre-decree—its good and evil. (And he/she) should fulfil all the remaining obligations and keep away from the forbidden things. So by way of this (a person) becomes a true Muslim.

Shaikh Raslaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:
If Allaah bestows blessings upon a slave and he (the slave) wishes that it should continue and not cease, then it is obligatory upon him to be thankful to Allaah (The Mighty and Majestic) for it. However if he falls short (i.e. the falling short that takes place by way of neglect) in this, it is taken away and there comes about upon him humiliation and belittlement. This is what Allaah-The Lord of Mankind, Jinn and all that exists-has decreed and He made it His way in dealing (with the creation) in His universe. And there is no power or strength except with Allaah (The Exalted, The Tremendous One, The Magnificent]
When will Palestine be returned to us? When we return to Allaah [in correct creed, righteous action, obedience etc.] Palestine will be returned to us. Indeed, the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) also informed us that humiliation will befall the Ummah and that belittlement will surround its children (i.e. the sons and daughters of this Ummah) when they oppose the religion of their Lord and are isolated from following the Sunnah of the Prophet. ”If you deal with usury (eena), and you hold onto the cow’s tails and you are content with agriculture, and you leave off Jihaad in the path of Allaah, Allaah will permit your humiliation and he will not remove that state from you until you return back to your religion.” [Reported by Imaam Abu Daawud (rahimahullaah) on the authority of Abdullaah Ibn Umar (radiyallaahu-anhumaa). Hadeeth Number 3462. Declared authentic by Imaam Albaanee (rahimahullaah) in As-Saheehah 11]
Therefore, there is no return to honour, there is no return and attainment of it (i.e. victory), except by way of a return to Allaah–The Lord of mankind, jinn and all that exists. ”Until you return back to your religion’’—the religion that Muhammad (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) came with and the path that Muhammad (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) guided to.
Indeed what takes place today in Gaza is not (merely) an affair of support (needed from) humans- not an affair solely connected to humans in its entirety; not an affair (related to performing charitable good deeds, such as) what is entrusted to the people who display noble generosity—the people who spend freely, bestow gifts, show kindness and are open-handed. The affair is not (merely) about (performing) good actions, rather it is an affair of creed and it is an affair related to creeds. It is an affair related to creed in its origin and to the religion in its backbone.
It is not an affair stirred up by the disbelievers before the Muslims, for indeed the manifest emotionalism that has filled the whole world cannot benefit in anything. The unambiguous means (in achieving what is sought after) is neither hidden from one who has eyes nor from one who possesses insight. That is because (this emotionalism) is neither from the legislated means of the Islamic legislation in achieving what is sought after nor is it that which the beloved Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) guided us to.
To be continued…..Inshaa-Allaah (Mataa Ta-oodu Ilaynaa Falasteen: 8-10)
For a beneficial article on the conditions of Jihaad, see link:
Does fearing the Jinn enter into natural fear or not?
Fearing the jinn; if it is inner fear and if it is believed that the jinn can benefit and harm you, then this enters into shirk: ‘And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief.’ [Surah Al-Jinn Verse 6]
And in the most part/cases fear of the jinn – and Allah knows best – falls into the fear (that is regarded to be) worship; because it is believed that by way of it (jinn) you can be harmed or benefitted, whilst no one has the ability to cause harm or benefit except Allah, neither the jinn nor the people, as the Messenger of Allah sallaallaahu alaihi wa sallam said: “Know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit with anything except that which Allaah has already recorded for you. If they gather to harm you by something, they would not be able to harm you by anything except what Allaah has already recorded against you.” (Tirmidhee Hasan saheeh)
And the true believer does not fear (anyone or anything) except Allah (The Mighty and Majestic). “So fear them not, but fear me if indeed you are (true) believers” [Aali Imran verse 175]; Meaning the inner fear, the fear (that is regarded to be) worship. As for fear of a snake, a lion or a corrupt person – meaning he who attacks you and you are not able to resist/fight him, then this is natural fear (and) it does not harm. This does not harm – Inshaa Allah – and it has no effect on the Aqeedah.
However fear of jinn in most cases is a fear established upon corrupted beliefs! The Messenger sallaallaahu alaihi wa sallam has given you weapons and has taught you; Read ayatul kursi, read Surah al Falaq and Surah an Nas to be protected. The remembrance of Allah (The Mighty and Majestic) protects you from them. Use the means which will protect you from them and from every type of harm—from snakes, scorpions and from other than them, (reciting): َعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّة مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.) (Recite three times in the evening.) If you said this nothing will come to you (of harm), neither a jinn nor a snake nor other than them. Nothing will harm you (by permission of Allah) and this is (when) it is done with sincerity and truthfulness. May Allah bless you all.

Indeed Tawheed is the foundation upon which Islaam is founded. It is its pre-requisite by way of which (one’s Islaam) is acknowledged (in the sight of Allaah) and by way of which good deeds are accepted. By way of it sins are pardoned and the slave is entered into paradise and saved from the hell fire. Due to (Tawheed), there occurred the dispute between the Messengers and the polytheists, and the swords of Jihaad were unsheathed. Due to (Tawheed), the Jinn, mankind, paradise and hell fire were created; and righteous deeds are cancelled through that which nullifies (Tawheed) and that is Shirk. Allaah (The Most High) said:
وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
بَلِ اللَّهَ فَاعْبُدْ وَكُن مِّنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ
”And indeed it has been revealed to you (O Muhammad ), as it was to those (Allah’s Messengers) before you: “If you join others in worship with Allah, (then) surely (all) your deeds will be in vain, and you will certainly be among the losers.” Nay! But worship Allah (Alone and none else), and be among the grateful.’’ [Soorah Az-Zumar: Aayaat 65-66]
All sins can be pardoned except shirk. Allaah (The Most High) said: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا
”Verily! Allah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners in worship with Him, but He forgives whom he pleases sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, has indeed strayed far away.’’ [Soorah An-Nisaa: Ayah: 116]
And due to shirk the slave is prevented from entry into paradise and hell fire is imposed upon him for eternity. Therefore for this reason giving concern to Tawheed is the most important affair amongst all important affairs and the greatest of all obligations. Abandoning (Tawheed), turning away from it and from learning it is the greatest calamity. And due to this it is incumbent upon every slave (of Allaah) to learn (Tawheed) and to learn that which nullifies and negates it, or that which diminishes it and infringes its rights.

Will the one who does not establish the true reality of ‘’laa ilaaha illa Allah” enter paradise or hellfire?
It is inevitable that the one who does not establish the conditions of laa ilaaha illa Allah will enter the fire. If he wasn’t sincere; if he wasn’t truthful; if he did not know its meaning; if he said Laa ilaaha illa Allah and explained it as “there is no creator except Allah (and) ‘’there is no provider except Allah,’’ (then even) if we were to (give) him the excuse of ignorance the least about him is that he is from the misguided sects.

Allaah (The Most High) said:
وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ
عَلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا
”And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days and His Throne was on the water, that He might try you, which of you is the best in deeds.” [Soorah Hud: Ayah: 7]. He (The Most High) did not say: ”which of you has the most deeds.”
[Source: Al-Islaamu Deenu Kaamilu of Imaam Shanqeetee (rahimahullaah): page 6]
Shaikh Saleh al Fawzaan states in his explanation of Kitab at-Tawhid under the chapter [From Shirk is to seek Aid and Assistance (after a calamity befalls) from other than Allah or to Call Upon Others]:
“Indeed Shaikh ul-Islam ibn Tamiyyah mentioned in one of his works – or rather, in many of his works – paraphrased as follows; Indeed that which occurs to the worshippers of graves in terms of their needs being fulfilled [i.e. the affair they seek at the grave actually occurs for them], then that is not an evidence upon the correctness of their methodology [i.e. the methodology of grave worship], because obtaining what is desired is [a means of] trial and test upon them from Allah……so this is not from the beneficial affairs for the grave worshipper, so if something does occur from what they desire then it is [actually] a degradation from Allah upon them…[despite the fact that he may think he is upon the correct methodology and be pleased and therefore continue upon his way believing his request has “apparently” been answered by the dead in the graves that he calls upon!].
Furthermore, Shaikh ul-Islam mentioned also, that it is possible the shayaateen [referring to the devils of jinn in this instance] sometimes take the appearance of the one buried and rise up from the grave in that appearance and speak to the people who are calling upon the dead. They then say to them we will take care of your needs, and they bring them items from far away, they may steal from the items of the people and bring them…and the one who was calling upon the dead thinks this is actually the dead individual himself who has arisen from the grave since the shaytaan has taken that appearance! In reality the actual dead individual does not have the slightest idea of what is occuring above his grave! Rather he is preoccupied with himself, either in blessings or punishments of the grave.
Thereafter, when the people are all raised on the Day of Recompense, those dead individuals on that Day will declare their innocence of the mushrikoon who used to call upon their graves in this World…..”
[Translators Note: For further details on issues of grave worship and seeking intercession etc, an excellent source of information are the various books of Shaikh Mohammad bin Abdul Wahhab, namely Kashf as-Shubuhaat (Exposition of the Doubts), as well as Kitab at-Tawhid, al-Qawaa’id al-arba’a (The Four Fundamental Principles)….exactly the types of books the scholars advise with in the early stages of seeking knowledge].
May Allah place ease into the affair of seeking knowledge, in order that we may remove ignorance from ourselves and others, for indeed the numbers of individuals that have succumbed to the whispers of the Shaytaan in such affairs as mentioned above are of considerable proportions across the World.
