    Lesson Five

This lesson ustadh covered the hadith of The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Command your children to pray when they become seven years old, and beat them for it (prayer) when they become ten years old; and arrange their beds (to sleep) separately.

To act upon this hadith the following condition must be met:
    • The child must reach be the age in the Hijri calendar rather than the Gregorian calendar.
    • The mental capacity of the child must be in line with their actual age so therefore if the child is showing that his mental capacity is much younger. Then it must not be beaten the child.
    • The child is not beaten for every single thing that he does wrong
    • The child is not beaten for the sake of bringing pain to him but rather to show how great his act is of leaving their salah
    • The beating doesn’t happen repeatedly but rather only in term of in need.
    • The beating must not be for the sake causing pain or the breaking the skin.
    • It must not be the first act of disciplining the child so if you know the is other alternative than it must be used.
    • This disciplining of the child must be done immediately after the leaving of the first salah and not leave it off until the child leaves off one salah after another.
    • This is done by both of the parents.
    • Both parents must lead by example and not follow the false premise of “do what I say and don’t do what I do”

Boyfriends and Girlfriends in Islaam – Shaykh Al-Uthaymeen

Having Boyfriends & Girlfriends in Islaam

What is the ruling on a man and woman who kiss, and do everything else other than intercourse?

Answer: These deeds which you have mentioned are impermissible – unlawful for them, because Allah – the Most High – says:

And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) except from their wives or that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame, but whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors;
Al-Muminoon 5-7

And His statement – The One free from all deficiency, the Most High:

And come not near to the unlawful sexual intercourse. Verily, it is a Fahishah [i.e. anything that transgresses its limits (a great sin)], and an evil way (that leads one to Hell unless Allah forgives him).
Al-Israa 32

And Allaah did not say, “And do not fornicate”, except to deal with everything that is a cause and leads to fornication, and this –  what they are doing – is zina of the hand by touching, zina of the eye by looking, zina of the feet by walking (to do that which is haraam). This is impermissible for them and it is obligated on them to repent.

It is obligated on those given responsibility to educate them and dissuade them from the likes of these actions, and turn them away from this sin.

The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) did not prohibit a person from being alone with a strange woman (one who it is not permissible to be alone with) except out fearing this this deed and its likes.

So you, may Allah give you success, advise them with that which is obligated on you, warn them about this, the impermissiblity of this is clear and is present in the books of tafseer, books of hadeeth, books of fiqh, all of them. It is not allowed and it is impermissible.

Payment

Our block payments correspond with the school calendar and are due every half term (the exact amount will vary) .

Please appreciate that we cannot discount for missed lessons, or lessons booked off; as we still need to pay staff and wouldn’t want to burden the masjid with excessive costs. We cannot offer a “pay as you go” set of classes either. BarakAllahu feekum.

Student Commitment

All students must attend every week and inform the admin of any absence/lateness. If any classes are missed, the student needs to make the effort to catch up with the class, so that they do not hinder the progress of other students.

They should also attend for the FULL duration of the lesson in shaa Allah.

Foundation of righteous communities is the wife – Shaykh Al-Fawzaan

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Shaykh Al-Fawzaan admonishes in one of his sermons:

Oh mankind know that righteous communities are built on righteous families and good houses; good houses are based upon the righteous wife, due to this it is obligatory for the Muslim that he chooses a righteous wife.

(فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ حَافِظَاتٌ لِلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللَّهُ)،

Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in the husband’s absence what Allah orders them to guard
Soorah An-Nisaa’ Verse 34

Therefore the Muslim chooses the righteous wife for she is the foundation of the house and she is the cultivator for the offspring and she guards her offspring and husband.

(فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ)
i.e. she is obedient to Allah

(حَافِظَاتٌ لِلْغَيْبِ)

: When her husband is away she preserves herself (chastity), his property and his children until he returns.

A dua of the slaves of Ar-Rahmaan (as mentioned in soorah Al Furqaan)

(رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ)

And those who say: “Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes,
Soorah Al-Furqaan Verse 74

So they began their supplication with the wives (i.e. due to the importance of having righteous wives)
